The houses were rushed to be finished just to get people in and on my street alone four out of five houses have had major repair work done, and they're brand new less than two months and a half.

We signed in Dec with the expectation to have the keys by March. Went to the lender and got rate locks with a buffer built in so even if Lennar delays by a month to April, we will be covered. March moved to April and then to May with absolutely no reason provided, except finger pointing - the sales manager will point to construction manager, who will point to vendors who wont be around to answer why its getting delayed. Thats fine, we extended the lock and took us multiple request to get that covered by Lennar and that happened at the end and Lennar made it look like they were doing us a ...

From being promised the wrong interest rate to having the closing date moved (not to mention several times) on the day of because of negligence from a laborer on sight. I would not recommend working with this specific San Antonio branch. The communication within Lennar was clearly poor and made the experience excruciating.

The buyer process was so many people involved, had to do too much coordination on my own. Too many different portals to do things in. Poor construction and was told “you can only call in 1-year warranty items all at once, only one time”. Never have heard that in any of my previous home buying experience. So, essentially, there is actually no warranty, if that’s the case. Can’t get a hold of the sales manager, she won’t return my calls conveniently AFTER I closed on the home. Hmmm…. Plus, on the warranty paperwork they ask you to sign after some work is done, there’s NO PLACE for notes - why ...

This is my second Lennar home and I am definitely there won’t be third Lennar. I am sure I am not recommending to any of my friends.

While closing I brought of multiple items to their attention to fix issue but they never fixed it. One of issue caused water leak after closing the house. Construction quality is so bad. Warranty support is too bad. Send some handyman to fix all types of issues. He does not know gravity of the issue. So I do not recommamd lennar to anybody with this experience.

This has been awful. I have submitted a complaint to corporate already regarding the experience. We were lied to. Pressured. Lied to some more. Not given proper communication. Pretty positive we have retaliation from the sales and construction managers. No one has contacted us and we will be contacting the Better Business Bureau because of the lack of care.

3 month delay in closing, sales people throw in our face that they have 2 years to complete per state statutes. Cost us a lot of money for extended stay hotels and storage while they dragged their feet in getting the house built(and NO concessions at all). Wanted a pool home, none were available, with the huge delay, they could have incorporated it in the build. The sales person was always "we can't do that" Very poor customer service. The construction manager was great and the only bright spot in this transaction.

Lennar has slight improvement in overall quality. However, it's still not meet customer's satisfaction. Responsiveness and coordination are still a big issues. Property orientation and closing arrangements are very confusing and not considering customer's need. Time response is extremely slow and sometimes not even replying customer's questions.

It is obvious that Lennar is rushing to close their units and get the payment as soon as possible. Most condos are released with many deficiencies. At first the builder crew was responsive in attending some major finishing issues but after 3 months since closing they dont even answer calls or reply to messages. Very disappointing

Too many issue overlooked. I don’t really know why they have a construction manager if that person is not going to supervise. Here is the list of some of the issues we had the first 2-4 weeks after closing. Gas leak, broken septic tank, electrical issues, Dishwasher was broken during installation (it leaks) really poor drywall finish where you see all joints, poor workmanship for all finishes. Honestly this does NOT feel like a new home. It’s been a headache from day one. In my opinion Lennar is like a fast food restaurant. I will never recommend lennar!!!!!

Our homebuying journey started in January 2022 with Lennar. With the market going crazy and labor/product shortages, Lennar suspended new sales of lots. The floor plan was what we fell in love with...and after being on the top of waitlist for 4 months, they raised the price 30k and rates rose from 3 to 6%... yet decided to sign and move forward. My wife and I got to choose everything we wanted in our home and were very excited. 2 weeks after signing, we found out we were pregnant after trying for about a year! Foundation was poured, and we have our initial building consultation where we ...

Lennar prides itself on holding a large market share, and talk about it in their spiels to rope people in, but one thing that is conspicuously absent in their spiel is a commitment to communication and quality of workmanship. Lennar seemed to have an incredibly difficult time with communicating and keeping us up to date on correct information when available, from the selling rep ("real estate agent" I guess?), to the loan processors who were quick to answer emails and pick up phones when we had outstanding items, but left voicemails unreturned when not. We promised and assured we would meet a ...

We purchased in late April with being told a September finish//close. We sold our house and figured we would stay in an AirBnb from August until the September close. After relocating, the closing moved then to October, November, December, and then an actual close at the end of January. The contracts are written air tight to not cover any expenses from a “good faith estimate” of closing even when they have actual close dates given to you. We had to pay short term rental costs with some being in season here, with no reimbursement. We also had to actually find the short term rentals by ...

Lennar doesn’t drop prices, Lennar doesn’t help with closing fees, and Lennar doesn’t put lights in bedrooms! Lennar doesn’t help at all! My experience with LENNAR was my worst experience ever. I’ve purchased many houses across the world but I’ve never once seen something like this happen.

Buying experience "Bad" (to say the least)

Home buying experience was as bad as it gets. Delays, LACK of commutation to no communication. Closing date got pushed multiple times. Sales Rep was terrible. Only one person who interacted with us during final inspection was good and as professional you would expect when you are making biggest purchase of your life. Due to the delays in closing, my interest rate went up, spend much longer in rented apartment, could not plan for the move. Had to rent extra storage for Furnitures we brought. Due to lack of communication, I had to constantly follow-up to get some sense when the home ...

I just bought a property at lennar at Lakeland. This is the worst experience I have ever have. They took 2 months to install the motorway and shelves. The ceiling over the island kitchen is already leaking. There is water from the ceiling and leaking over the island kitchen. 2 months.

I am a repeat customer with Lennar. Technically I purchased with Cal Atlantic my first home and about a month before closing, Lennar took over. However, my home stayed with Cal Atlantic team until closed and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to finish. The Cal Atlantic sales team was thorough and welcoming and even met me on the day of move in to walk my home. I never put in a single work order. Since Cal Atlantic got bought out by Lennar, I figure that they would have the same quality and customer service, but boy- Lennar is way inferior to Cal Atlantic. The buying ...

We almost pulled out of the purchase after we were misled on closing dates and the reason why our home was delayed. The project was poorly managed and the builder tried to blame the utility company but the truth was Lennar failed to secure a timely building inspection. The communication from the sale agent was appalling, we were encouraged to sign our contract on the Wednesday only to be told 16 hours later that the close date of the following day Friday was again delayed. This was my 21st home purchase/sale in 32 years and my second new home construction purchase and I would not buy with ...

The home was poorly finished. Lennar massively delayed completion, cut corners on construction quality to try to force completion, and skimped on promised appliances and fixtures. I am repeat buyer from Lennar, but my experience was so poor this time that I will not buy another home from Lennar and advice friends against it as well.
