We were excited to purchase our new Lennar home, but a few issues made the experience far less smooth than expected. Just two days before our scheduled closing, Lennar informed us that the closing would need to be postponed for more than 30 days. This last-minute notice created a lot of stress and logistical problems that could have been avoided with proper communication. Less than one month after moving in, we experienced a flood on the first floor caused by Lennar’s workmanship. On top of that, we found a few cracks on the drywall throughout the house. While we understand that new construction can come with minor issues, the combination of these problems definitely impacted our overall experience. Everything felt very disorganized, starting with the salesperson, who was unprofessional. I always had to be the one to reach out, and even then, calls often went unanswered, or I had to leave several messages before getting a response. Another issue is that I had already paid the deposit on the closing day, yet they forgot to transfer the money to the home insurance company. I only found out when I received a cancellation notice from the insurance, and I had to keep contacting them repeatedly to push them to resolve it. Lennar homes are gorgeous homes and seem to be built well. Once we have been in the home for several months, we are finding more and more structural issues that were not caught by the builders nor the home inspections. While the use of the app to file the claim is effective, the timeliness of someone coming out to the house and having the issue 100% fixed is not efficient nor does it seem anyone is willing to act quickly in order for the issue to be repaired.

Overall, the process was very fast as we were in a rush to buy. Many documents were needed, and we were asked to resubmit the same documents at least 8-10 times, instead of me submitting to one portal where everything could be accessed. There were times where I felt we were not the customer in the process, and we seemed like a bother for not knowing certain processes, though we were first time buyers and could have used proper guidance. Tristyn and Shane were AMAZING. They both did their absolute best and went above and beyond to communicate well with us and be those guides during this process. The rest of the process was not that great, but Tristyn and Shane were such a help. Though I am happy with my purchase and quality of my home, I wish the process was a bit more welcoming. ... More

The home my wife and I purchased we absolutely love. It is definitely a great value and a lot thought and intention went behind the design. Solid materials are used and the only critique about the property itself would be the low quality interior paint, definetely recommend repainting the interior to a scuff resistant paint. However, the home buying process was very hectic. To get the best deal we had to sign all the contract paperwork in less than 36 hours and some of the paperwork wasn't received until a few hours before the deadline. Additionally, since Lennar is such a big company the left hand didn't seem to know what the right was doing. We were told to speak to one person for updates and then forwarded to another person. We would seek simple information and not receive an answer for a few weeks. Some questions didnt get answered until a few days before closing. To get all the closing credits from Lennar we also had only 30 days to close which made everything really hectic. The 30 days wouldn't have been as bad if we received prompt responses and were better guided through the process. On our closing day we came back to the home for the first time to see someone had left poop in one of our bathrooms. We reported it and were immediately contacted by management who did apologize and advise that the matter was being investigated. However it left a sour taste in our mouths in what was supposed to be a joyous day. ... More

Closing on the house was a nightmare. It was very unorganized. They were wanting me to close when the house had many issues.. Since closing, I’ve found many more issues and corners that were cut but the customer care rep is responsive about the things the can fix.

The closing process lacked so much communication between builder and lender; lender trying to get me to do actions that were not possible due to builder had not completed their part. In comparison between Lennar and DR Horton, to me the materials aren't much difference... price difference of $68k less and Lennar being 100sq ft more. I bought the home built as is. I do prefer Lennar's floor plans. I believe it's a good 1st home purchase based on price, construction, location and potential in value to grow in the next 5-10 years. Be sure to have a good realtor.

The counter top in the kitchen is not good quality, with the price for the house, they could put better quality for counter top in the kitchens, it’s sensitive to hot plate. Also all the bathroom are vinyl, they could make it tile with no extra cost ….. After the closing, reaching to them was hard. I got my correct mailbox key after one month.

Took so long for approval.

Basically, buying from Lennar is a case for "buyer beware." It's not that they build an inferior product, however, corners are cut numerously when it comes to design and providing any sort of choice in materials. Lennar is also incredibly inflexible on almost any request once the sales contract is signed. It's basically a take it or leave it attitude. For my part, I was in a hurry to buy, for personal reasons, and I didn't spens enough time researching Lennar, or their other local developments. Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3 out of 5) My overall experience with the construction of my house was mixed. The process started well, but later changes made by the builder turned things stressful and unpleasant. I’m confident Stephan (the salesperson) did his best, and I want to acknowledge that the construction team was always reliable and friendly. The warranty team also deserves credit—they responded quickly and efficiently to every request I submitted, which I greatly appreciate. Logan from Lennar Mortgage provided excellent service as well. However, the quality of the house is not the best, which is why I’m giving three stars. My biggest concern was the management during construction: the manager’s approach felt inconsistent, and frankly, it seemed like you had to push too hard to get things resolved. That shouldn’t be part of the experience. For future buyers: Stephan, the construction team, and the warranty team did, and continue to do, a good job. My main concern is that the manager doesn’t honor agreements. If this improves, the experience could be much better. ... More

No doubt Lennar had the most competitive offer of all the new build builders. However I wouldn’t say the quality of our $900k+ home matches others in a similar price point. Are the homes well insulated…no. It is builder grade all the way. Unfortunately builder grade has eroded the past 10years so quality and materials are suspect. Baseboards are literally cardboard. Really … vacuum cleaner nicked a corner. It was peeled like cardboard This is the only Lennar home I’ve bought and it will be last. I’ll look again further regional builders who put more effort into the product

The sales process was rocky for me. My real estate agent was rude at times when I had questions along the way. I’ve had a few issues to deal with once moved in. I feel like the after sales experience has been better than the purchase experience. Robert has been very responsive helping me resolve the issues with my Ring Doorbell and defective dishwasher.

Overall ok there are some things that could be done more efficient. Return call from Corina almost never happened. Response to concerning things regarding identifying my condo i don't like. We need something in front of the unit that identifies address. Still have not received how we address that. The numbers are on the side of the unit instead of in front. Doesn't help when we get deliveries to have to figure out which place to deliver because numbers are not in front of the unit.

Upon having disastrous closing in which the final punchout was not completed, we were threatened that if we postponed the closing, it would be rescheduled 2 weeks later; so we closed. As soon as we did wanting punch out items addressed, we were told, that's no longer our responsibility, you have to call warranty. Now the story changes: warranty apologized for what we faced and has worked diligently towards getting us to enjoy our home. Still not happy with a driveway pour that was rushed and finshed wet that shows an abundance of imperfection. I welcome and invite further follow-up from Lennar. We love our home and Henderson Estates and would not do anything to discourage one from seeking to move here. It is just unfortunate that we ran into a difficult transition to our new home. The homes are built with cheap materials, walls are thin and you can hear every little noise from neighbors and cars. They do not level the backyard or remove invasive weeds with thorns and stickers. The buyer is responsible for excavating the backyard and the fencing.

The entire of using Lennar as a Mortgage Lender was very stressful and would never use them again. With such great credit and a huge amount of asset I felt I was treated like someone without a job or money. My real-estate agent Rosalie was the absolute best. she is the best employee Lennar has in this area

Painter were not that good

I was impressed with the initial process but I was given very little on what to expect once I receive the keys to my home. I received no welcome package or greetings from the team like I had received with other companies in the past when purchasing a new home. I signed the loan and they gave me the keys and sent me on my way. Typically I would be given info on who my utilities company contacts are, where to go to get my mail key. No instructions given to me for the ring. The key passcode to the garage key pad so I can reset it. Not even the website link to the portal for the home. I also didn’t have the HOA contact in case I needed to contact them later. I had reached out to the builder and the sales rep to find out at least contact info on who I can contact or direct me and I had to email them 3-4 times before finally getting all the info I needed and they took a screenshot while to respond. It was like pulling to get basic info for my new home and community. ... More

This is my second home purchase. My first was a D.R. Horton home. The price point is what ultimately led me to purchase this one; however, if D.R. Horton had been available, I would have chosen them again. While I understand that costs have increased, the materials used in these homes feel very cheap. The flooring is probably the worst I’ve seen, and the tile and bathroom selections could have been much better. There’s also no exterior lighting on the garage, and the paint quality is extremely poor. Overall, I just think they could have done a much better job with the materials and finishes.

Everything was explained, but at such a rate and depth that I could have told you little of what had just been presented to me.

It was kind of a mixed experience dealing with Lennar. I guess in this day and age, so much is electronic and that could be an issue for older, not so tech savvy folks. That was a struggle, especially since our move was from over 200 miles from the new home. Overall the home itself is great and so far andthe HOA seems to be a decent one... Again, so far. Quality of the build and materials is good. One major issue is the landscape company that put in the sod. Get another source of a landscape company because the job done on the sod for this home(and many others in the neighborhood) was really unacceptable. Preparation of the land was terrible and weeds shot out of it immediately. We were told the landscaping would be levelled, but was done hurriedly and not a good job. Someone may get injured because of the uneven, bad job laying the sod. And only 15 ft. from the back of the home??? The sod company shorted ours by 3 ft. and still refused to go to the fence when I offered to pay the difference. When they laid the missing sod, it was already dead and most has not come back to life after a month. All 4 trees they planted have died. How does Double H landscaping stay in business? And their customer service is so rude and condescending. Response from Lennar on a couple minor warranty issue has been timely so far. It's too bad that Lennar doesn't offer certain items that could be installed, even at a cost: such as blinds, ceiling fans, or a spray faucet for the kitchen sink. ... More

Quality construction but is large company so when you have questions or concerns there is alot of pass onto another person and hard to get answer

Overall, we were happy with the sales staff and construction superintendant Reese, they were very professional and respionsive. After a month in the home, everything appears to be good, with the build. I will say that the paiting job is sloppy, especially on the trim - there are runs in the trim paint, sloppy at the floor level with white paint drips and specs a lot. I wish we would have taken more time at our walk through's, but it is hard to see all this in a short period of time. I think they builda lot of homes very quickly and the fit and finish suffers. Overall, my experience with Lennar was positive in many ways. The sales team was great—friendly, professional, and wonderful to work with. The closing process went smoothly with good communication throughout. That said, the build quality could have used more attention to detail. There were several issues before after closing, but the team has been responsive and continues to work with me to resolve them. Still some things to be addressed, but I appreciate their follow-up and effort.
