The home buying experience at Lennar was intense everything seemed to happen very quickly.. it was very overwhelming for first time homebuyers. However majority of our team was helpful ( especially our loan officer) I do wish our home concierge made more time for us, and walked us through the final steps of the process but she was ooo most of the time and rarely responded. Overall it was an okay experience, and we love our new home... Even if there are still some blue tape left

The overall process of buying our home was fabulous thanks to our own personal realtor they were able to provide a very transparent and prompt response to all of our concerns. However this is an issue Lennar needs to address. When working with buyers who are prepared, prompt, and most importantly represented your loan officers should provide better overall customer service. We had offers and pre approvals from other lenders who provided our numbers within 48 hours and Lennars process took nearly two weeks even with all of the requested documents. Overall I still recommended friends to purchase in the same community and they had a similar process but overall they were happy with their purchase. Not super happy may choose another builder next purchase

The Sales Team was AMAZING (Craig was Great) Sammy & Kris were also Great. however when it came to the what was promised with the home at the Final walk through and did not get what was promised and Lennar is now stating they will not do anything to make it right, Also I would recommend at closing you shut down the sprinkler system as I was not shown how to use and 104 thousand gallons used in 25 days I am now responsible for. Is costing me the same as my Mortgage amount.

I am not happy about this process

Stephanie the sales agent was wonderful as was Joe who did my orientation walk-throughs. The lender side of things started off ok but when I started asking questions or responding that there were errors in the paperwork, the friendliness was gone and I was told time and again that "well, these are not the final papers" - not "thank you for pointing that out, these aren't the final papers and I'll make sure X is updated." Or even when the paperwork was sent including a note - "these are not the final papers, just where we are at this moment." I am a meticulous person and when legal documents are sent to me to review - I review them completely and point out issues. To be told that I basically wasted hours of my time reviewing documents which weren't the final product was frustrating. Moving on to the house itself. On the surface, the house is beautiful but when you look more closely you see that it was built to be done as quickly as possible and the heck with the details. The floors are not level anywhere, and I don't mean it slopes to a side because of settling - it hasn't had a chance to do that yet. I'm talking about the fact that every chair in the dining area rocks, floor shelves also do not sit level, and when you walk across the floor there are hollow areas where the flooring compresses down to the slab. When installing blinds, we discovered the window areas weren't square (not same width between top, middle, and bottom), plus one of the windows appeared to not have a complete header as there was only drywall to screw in to and no wood behind it. But the absolute biggest disappointment was the lack of water pressure - it is simply non-existent - from taking a shower to watering the lawn - everything is that much harder because of the lack of pressure. The biggest positive of this home is the community of neighbors, it's just a shame that we don't have a clubhouse to actually gather in, and the pool area leaves a lot to be desired - chaise lounges that are too low for people with knee issues, a very small deck around the pool, and not an umbrella in sight. Good experience, just nothing great or bad.

Overall, I’d say the experience was well but very overwhelming. A lot of back-and-forth, which is to be expected with a huge decision to purchase a home. With Lennar being a giant production builder it’s understandable that things don’t always go as planned, but their processes are streamline and issues end up getting worked out. So far we’re loving being in our new house and appreciate the opportunity to buy with Lennar. As of 2 months after closing our experiences are nowhere near what a lot of the negative experiences are that are posted online. We have a lot of good things to say, but there are also some drawbacks. Workmanship is subpar to say the least, there are obvious corners that have been cut, but nonetheless, they built homes fast for wide variety of people and families. Overall we love our new home. The only hiccup that we’ve run into is that we have a sprinkler system but yet no one has really taught us how to use it. Like buying any home, dealing with the paperwork was a bit of nuisance. Be prepared to search through everything in order to provide underwriting what they need. To me it was about over the top and at times frustrating. At one point we felt as though our Lennar sales rep was not being very honest with us. We love the home that we’re in but technically it was our second choice. When we approached our sales rep about our first choice, multiple times we were told that the house would not close in time to meet our timeframe. We were told that the house would need to be an April closing and would not be available in May. Well we moved into our current home (second choice) in May. Our first choice home, closed weeks later after us in May. In addition to that the price range we were given for that home dropped dramatically causing even more confusion and frustration. Once we were finally done with chaos of home buying, we did take it a bit personally that our sales rep didn’t take the opportunity to check on us or to even stop by to say congratulations. Instead she continued to drive past our home for days in order to sell the remaining new builds on our street. Be ready to be on your computer 24-7 with no excuses, your life will stop because they need things as ASAP with no excuses, even if you are driving, at home with your family!!!!!! they make you feel you need them or I don't know what was the point of doing that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sales agent was great. She helped us resolve home issues even after closing when we couldn't get responses from the appropriate departments.

2 Months in and still working to have punch list items from a week prior to closing corrected. Fixed some small, simple items myself. Lennear Mortage had major issues, limited or delayed communication and issues they had were Lennar Mortgage created, they dropped the ball. Quality, low end builder grade appliances, carpeting, cabinets, etc.

Found that the quality of material used during construction are not the level expected based on price paid for home. Make sure that every part of the house is checked and perform a final walkthrough to double check that all issues have been resolved before closing.

My experience with Lennar Homes was mixed. On one hand, Omar, the builder rep, was incredibly helpful and available to answer questions. His guidance throughout the home buying process made things a bit smoother. However, one aspect that I found slightly inconvenient was their complete reliance on electronic documentation. I personally prefer having some paper documents for reference, not just QR codes to look everything up on a screen or log into a portal. Issues that were found during inspection were addressed prior to move-in, there were a couple of items that required attention post-occupancy. Still funding things but Thanks to omar & Richard things get resolved in a timely manner! Overall, if you're comfortable with a fully digital process, Lennar Homes, with Omar's assistance, could be a great choice for your next home purchase. Lenar Mortgage: My experience with Lennar Mortgage left a lot to be desired. The entire process felt unnecessarily exhausting due to their insistence on a fully electronic process. There was no flexibility provided to receive contract documents, or for the loan officer, Jon, to review any of the loan documents with us in person. Adding to the frustration was the required use of their portal, Lennar Track, which was plagued with constant technical issues accessing our file or documents. Sidewalks and driveways are atrocious. Footprints in both and marked and discolored. Construction dust in basement and garage. Two doors painted in different finishes, on the same door. No sump pump was installed, but that was quickly resolved.

Home buying experience was challenging. Bait and switch was a tactic employed by sales manager at our site. In the end we purchased a house with most of options we desired. We settled much earlier than planned and made things stressful. Comments made by sales manager (not site sales rep) were unprofessional and insulting. We are happy with our home - but…

Home buying experience mixed. Pushed to close early, A LOT of craftsmanship issues with building of house - paint splotches on floor, mismatched paint used on walls, gouges in shower stall and tub etc.

I loved my representative. The quality of the workmanship is a different question. It felt like the bare minimum was done and I was left to catch all the mistakes, and there were many. One example is that my property line extended 5 feet further than any dirt work or landscaping was performed. The side of my yard is at such an angle and rough that you can’t walk on it. Last minute, and half dead sod with a grass that does not match the rest of the yard was laid the day before closing. The side of my house is a hot mess. All concrete is cracked to pieces. No action was taken. I was told that unless it is. 1/4 inch wide, it was not their responsibility. To top it all off, I was showed the neighboring clubhouse and pool when viewing the site. When we attempted to go, we were turned away and told that we have our own pool and it is under construction. We cannot enter any pool except the one in our neighborhood, whenever it is complete. After two months of checking our mail every day, I finally went to the post office to find out what was happening because I did not receive a single piece of mail during that time. Turns out that to this day, there is no mail service in our neighborhood and we must drive to the other side of town and pick our mail up at the post office. Electrical issues. Air unit does not cool the upper level well. Hard to plug into the outlet. Paint used is flat except for the wet areas. They should of given an option.

This is our second Lennar home. That's why we came to them. The quality of the workmanship is not as good as it used to be. We felt that everything was rushed. Maybe they had deadlines to meet. The closing was another disaster. Very impersonal. Again pushy to get it done by a certain date. Wouldn't accept we wanted to wait even though we gave them a substantial deposit.

I’ve owned three Lennar built homes. The first two were exceptionally well built However, my current new built home that I just purchased has many issues with building Materials and craftsmanship. Lennar is working with me on my list of issues so hopefully all will be good in time.

First I would like to say that Tish was very helpful! We were scheduled to close escrow on Thursday 5/02/24. That has been our scheduled closing date for almost two months. Well that didn't happen. We didn't close escrow yesterday and we did not get and do not have access to our house as of this morning Friday 5/03. I had a lot of things scheduled for our house this morning that I had to scramble to reschedule. We signed all of our loan documents on Tuesday 5/01 and Lennar Title received our closing funds on Tuesday 5/01 as well. My wife and I are pretty easy going people and we both are very understanding that things happen. The main issue here was the major lack of communication during this entire process, especially over the last few days as we are getting ready to close escrow. This is our first house that we are purchasing and were expecting a much more pleasant experience. The lack of communication has been an issue during the entire process dating all the way back to when I first inquired about the home. We were just sitting around waiting to receive a call, text, or email giving us instructions on how to enter our new home because it is now officially ours. Had I not reached out to anyone I would have had no idea what was going on and that we were not going to be given access to our new home yesterday. I was also given false information. I sent a email at 9am on our closing date to get an idea on when we will be given access to our new house and I was told that everything was sent over to the County recorder and once you guys received confirmation from the county we will be given access to our new home. We continued to follow up yesterday via email and were told they were still waiting on confirmation from the county. At 4:45pm I called Lennar Title and was told that nothing was ever sent to the county because they have not received the final sign off from the builder. So I didn't find out that we were not going to get access to our new home until 4:45pm on the day that we supposed to close escrow and I wouldn't have even found out unless I picked up the phone and called! I never received a call from anyone at least giving me a heads up stating that they were still waiting to receive the final sign off from the builder. I didn't know what or who to believe anymore. I just feel like there was a lot of finger pointing during this entire process and no one is willing to take any accountability. I can go on and on but I am not going to. ... More

For price home should have more upgrades, Materials and workmanship only average, found many things were substandard, eg…kitchen granite counter edges were very sharp, not rounded and smooth, tile grout lines not sealed, garage floor had multi cracks etc. Most faults not visible during walkthrough.

Lennar is a middle entry level home. The craftsmanship is poor, the materials are lower quality and they are non apologetic for the lack of quality. Their favorite line when you look at the poor paint jobs on doors, door frames, trim, etc is "stand six feet in front of it with normal lighting conditions and if you can't see the imperfection from there......well then it doesn't exist". If their subcontractors damage the trim while doing their job they don't replace the trim......they put bondo on it and repaint it. The problem is when you sand MDF is doesn't take a paint job the same way. Oh well. ... More
