This was not a good experience. It was terrible to be honest. Multiple times a week, sometimes daily, for months, I was having to fight for getting my home. Lennar tried steering (which is illegal), tried to act like certain promotions weren’t valid even though I had the marketing emails to prove it. Jason at Lennar mortgage told me this verbatim “You won’t be able to buy this house if you have a million dollars cash.” Which, to make you aware, my home was $854,990. Sales Esther was excellent throughout the entire homebuying process. She was professional, helpful, and very responsive. She was the person we were most satisfied with during the whole experience. However, there were several disappointing issues. very poor quality build. our sod is all dead. we closed in february and when the grass woke up this spring it's mostly weeds and dirty. we also have huge divits all over our yard it seems that they just threw the sod over the construction site without regrading. and lastly huge puddles of water in between our houses. We went in with such confidence because of the reputation and the name. The sales experience was actually exceptional. The lending and underwriting was very, very good however, the closing was horrific. We were not acknowledged at all. It was horrible. A lady lead us to in an office; didn’t introduce herself; she went back-and-forth from one office to another telling us what to sign didn’t ask us if we had any questions. thank goodness our attorney arrived (late) and he did have some questions and called them out. 1. Purchasing process. We agreed to a price and began the process the next day they backed out and said oh well the price went up 30,000 sorry. This was after the agreement. Garage door hit by workman, repaired door, only problem the metal frame was also hit and door does not close properly. Electrical had to be replaced because wires touching metal screws. In attic you can see outside to siding. I would expect for the price of the home to have better workmanship.

Our home has some nice amenities (Frigidaire kitchen appliances, ring doorbell, keyless entry, and second floor laundry, Our inspector found several areas that needed to be addressed. The powder room door did not latch. It was fixed but there is a big gap so we can see into the powder room from the kitchen and we can see the kitchen from inside the powder room with the door closed. ??? We bought our Lennar home as part of a package deal, with our daughter’s family also buying a home on an adjacent lot. Our daughter’s purchase was contingent upon them selling their house in another city, and our purchase was also contingent upon them selling THEIR house. The purchase agreement had a closing date, which Lennar reps said they would continue to move until the deal was concluded. Overall disappointed with this purchase, starting with the closing day. Documentation was not available until the afternoon prior to closing and it showed a charge for taxes not due. Amount due at closing was not as agreed. The paint in the whole townhome is basic, low quality, whole townhome needs to be repainted. Garage is very small, you either park your car or place the trash can in it. Bathroom cabinets have no drawers. i'm not sure i would buy a lennar home again. my appliances need to be replaced. air filters were full of grime and dust. lots of issues already and i'm in month #3. lenders were extremely rude and condescending. one lady was nice... lots of loud construction and i've had trash thrown into my yard. i don't know if i feel safe here. buyer beware

Stacked homes, “townhouses” are best described as apartment living. I specifically asked if the neighbors can be heard because no one had moved above or next door yet. I was told No! This is not the case! . I did not sign up for apartment living where I can hear the neighbors every step and move. This was deceiving - there should be honesty and transparency. Now that neighbors have moved in, I hear everything. The only time I don’t hear them is when I’m in the shower.

What really makes me puke is that the lying , cheating project manager was probably glorified even got some bonus because he finished the project almost on time by causing damage to our properties. Honest review of Lennar Homes in Charlotte, NC area: After purchasing this home for $400,000, I can confidently say the quality does not match the price. Salesman was unhelpful and uninterested. Katie later got involved and was a gem and her help caused us to continue on with Lennar because the other salesman was unresponsive and when we finally got in touch with him, he gave us incorrect information. Quality and craftsmanship are lacking at best. Responsiveness is inadequate and the HVAC system design has failed in all the carriage homes where I've been able to ask the neighbors. I've been waiting for weeks for a response on a ticket about my leaking water heater. My recommendation to someone who was driving by and asked, was to stay away. In addition, we've been icebound for 2 days because our street hasn't been plowed even once following the snowstorm. Feel free to call me.

We carried the ball throughout the process, we got all of our requirements completed within 24 hours, then spent the 24 to 48 following up on Lennar‘s responsibilities. Then the bureaucracy was excessive, and overlapping, very confusing for the customer.

Right after I signed they had a new promotion and lennar wouldn't adjust to that. The new promotion literally came 1 week after the contract. Such a bad experience as a customer.
