People from Lennar affiliated companies offered and delivered a smoothly integrated comprehensive support.

It was really awesome buying new home experience with Lennar Builder. They do notify the customer at the every stage of construction and keep them up-to-date. They will guide us end to end. They do have from warranty/customer support team (Sara) who has been helping us for any service requests. I would strongly recommend the Lennar Builders for buying a new home.

We bought our first starter home from Lennar some years ago and had a positive experience about it, so we thought “why not” when we received a call from the new home consultant about the availability of a lakefront property at Northlake, a community four miles from the Sacramento Metro airport. We couldn’t be more wrong! Sales – I am one of those buyers who was willing to pay more for upgrades. It is apparent that Lennar cared more about how they got the job done quickly than customer satisfaction. There were either no or very limited upgrade options to choose from - cabinets, countertops, backsplash, you name in. Imagine you just spent $800k on a house and were told by the builder that “too bad, we couldn’t offer this or that” even when you were willing to spend more. More accurately, “we do offer this or that in our El Dorado Hills development [where the million houses are built]”. Awkward! To be fair, those New Home Consultants were pretty responsive during the pre-sales phase. However, there was no “warm” handoff from Sales to the Mortgage/Loan division. The unspoken words to us were, “sales completed, next one in line.” Mortgage/Loan – Imagine you were approached by the builder’s loan department who gave you 48 hours to submit electronic a long list of documents but your questions to them went unanswered for a week. Of the list of requirements, one of them was concerning your reasons to buy the new house and your plan for the old house. We were scratching our heads thinking, “we have just submitted other required documents showing that we have enough money in the bank to buy the house outright and we have enough cashflow to afford the mortgage and that’s not enough? We have to write an essay to stroke your ego too?” We seriously thought about walking away at this point until some higher up personnel stepped in to smooth away the outrageous ask. The House – While inflation is real and your money may not go as far as it used to, having just spent $800k on a house it would not be unreasonable for us to expect the community plan to be well thought out, the amenities inside the house to be well positioned, the craftsmanship to be meticulous, correct? Wrong! In a community where my 2,700 sqft house would be considered small, it is hard to imagine I do not even have enough street parking space for even ONE single car in front of my house. Never mind family and friends, we will go to your house for holiday celebrations from now on. Driveway is 20 feet in width, a few feet narrower than driveways found in many older houses. Imagine trying to park two SUVs or pickup trucks on your driveway. Landscaping comprises of low-end mulch which covers 90% of the front yard, with a whopping 8x10 grassy area to help builder check off the box. Prior to our first walkthrough, we had already informed the New Home Consultants of the observations made, including a dented garage door, chipped concrete front porch entry, a couple of damaged eaves, sloppy stucco walkthrough and low. By reporting these concerns early, we thought the builder would perform some fixes to make our fist walk-through a more pleasant experience for everyone involved. Needless to say, they did not. In fact, some of the concerns were not even addressed until a week after the final walkthrough. Interior walls and ceiling were painted with white paints throughout the house as no option was available. We ended up spending over $6k to repaint the house into the preferred colors. Electrical appliances consist of mostly soon to be outdated GE models, which speaks volume to the builder’s priority to save by buying things in bulk as opposed to putting customers first. The range hood that came with our house looked good on the surface but a simple Google search informed me the unit had a low CFM. We ended up replacing it on the 3rd day after we moved in. We found our structured media enclosure “conveniently” mounted on a wall behind the laundry room on the 2nd floor, which makes receiving good WiFi signal difficult throughout the house. Our house has three bedrooms. Each bedroom, even the one in the master suite, has only ONE single robe hook in it. AC unit in the master suite is super loud; it wakes us up in the middle of the night over and over again. Final Thoughts – We do want to give credit to the home care (warranty) team as they have been very responsive to the requests submitted. The construction supervisors we interacted with seemed honest and transparent, admitting to us thoughtfulness and customer satisfaction oftentimes took a backseat when profitability was the company's only mantra. Maybe we should all develop a Lennar-like mindset. Why use towel racks/bars when we can get by with a single robe hook? Hairline crack on ceiling and drywall on Day 1? No big deal, we can revisit that a year from now! Scratches on brand new bathtubs and cabinets? Breathe and know that they are still functional! Chipped bathroom and kitchen tiles? Congrats, you have 20-20 vision! Broken outlet covers? Don’t focus on those minor things, silly! Lakefront homes but no direct access to the lake? That’s what makes Lennar a unique home builder! Onto the million-dollar question: Would I recommend this builder to others? Yes, to the priests as they are more forgiving than most. Sales team was great. Communication of construction updates was great. House product upon completion...horrible. Cheap products used for a higher-end home and bad final product with LOTS to be worked on. Customer service followup, also bad. Like the house but disappointed on the workmanship.

House works for us, what I expected is different, my issue is our parking situation which nothing can be done. The house overall is great and will work well for my family. I look forward to to many memories here.

We are very happy with our new home build.

Our experience purchasing a new home had its ups and downs. While the overall process was okay, there were significant frustrations, particularly with communication during the financing stage. The loan officer's communication was extremely slow, and getting clear answers about pricing and current incentives was challenging. My questions were frequently passed around between the sales agent, the loan officer, and other employees, which created delays. Unfortunately, these delays resulted in me locking in a higher interest rate than I could have if responses had been more timely and transparent. On a more positive note, the post-move-in support from Lennar has been excellent. They’ve been punctual and attentive when it comes to addressing any issues or repairs in the home, which has been a relief. While I appreciate the quality of the home and the after-move-in service, the inefficiencies and lack of clear communication during the buying process left me feeling frustrated. I hope Lennar works to improve their communication systems for future buyers. ... More

Trying to figure out which bill were do monthly or every other month took several phone calls. Also getting contacts regarding payment was additional calls.

Buying my first house with Lennar my personal experience was very easy and understandable. They have a wonderful team. They all work together great and helped move the process very smooth and quickly. The team in Colombia Tennessee is being great to work with very trust, friendly understandable easy to work with. Before and after the purchase they very easily to schedule appointment to repair things around the house.( Kelvey, Zach, Rebecca, Jessica. ) they treat you like a Lennar family member. I’m very happy with them I will buy an other house with them if I need too.

I am writing to share my feedback regarding my recent home-buying experience with Lennar, which, unfortunately, has been the worst I have encountered in over 20 years of working in the real estate and mortgage industries. From the initial purchase to the final stages, the process was marked by poor customer service, unresponsiveness, and a lack of professionalism. My expectations for a seamless and professional experience were not met; instead, I dealt with significant frustrations. The Lennar sales representative I initially worked with showed some responsiveness at the start, but when it came. Still, when I offered and discussed details, he refused to meet in person and insisted on handling everything via text or email. This lack of flexibility and unwillingness to engage personally made the process feel cold and impersonal. Despite my repeated requests for verbal communication, they were ignored entirely. Calls often went unanswered or were returned only after several days. Adding to the frustration, my experience with Lennar Mortgage was equally disappointing. I was required to use their services, but the representative assigned to me was unresponsive and unhelpful. I specifically requested verbal discussions to accompany email interactions so that I could fully understand the process and ensure everything was handled correctly, but these requests were disregarded. It was incredibly difficult to get in touch with anyone for information or follow-up, which only added unnecessary stress to an already challenging situation. While the quality of the home itself may meet acceptable standards, the negative experience of purchasing it has overshadowed any perceived value. A significant investment like this should be accompanied by excellent customer service, and Lennar failed to deliver on this front. If I had it to do over again, I would not have purchased from Lennar, and I cannot recommend them to anyone. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and undervalued as a buyer. I hope this feedback encourages Lennar to reevaluate its processes and customer service standards, as these are critical aspects of the home-buying journey. ... More

I would said that overall it was a great experience with the builder. I would recommend it.

Tess was great to work with.. she was very informative and helpful..on the mortgage side, not so much..frustrating, would provide info and then they would ask for the same info you just gave them.. we couldn’t close the way we were supposed to, so we had to drive to salt lake to do so.. quality of materials - Lennar doesn’t care, gives you zero choices and the cheapest of cabinets, flooring at a pretty steep price.. you get what you get and that’s it! Literally most of all the new home buyers on our street have literally gutted their brand new homes and built them back the way they should be with much better craftsmanship and quality of materials. And after all this, they part of the neighborhood to have fencing that goes completely against HOA rules and then tell you that you can’t put up a fence particularly when you have a 5ft drop off in your back yard!! Lennar doesn't give any option while building, e.g. extension of kitchen, or patio cover, storage extension(if there is room for extension) even I am willing to pay extra, so not very impressive but accept it whatever they provide.

The Lennar agent was very friendly and helpful.

Overall experience was very easy and straightforward. Everyone on the Lennar team was friendly, helpful and timely on all matters.

Do not use Lennar mortgage. Maybe it was just my loan officer but phone calls weren’t returned. Emails not answered and I was told I was getting money back at closing. Then I wasn’t. Then I was. I was told to put 10% down but it turned out it should only have been 5%. Then I was told PMI had to have insurance on it in order to get it cancelled if I paid it off early. Then I was charged $7000 for it. Go to any other lender. Not lennar lending.

From our first engagement with Debra (where she talked to me like a moron who doesn't understand interest rates, despite the fact that I have a master's degree in economics) to our final walk through with Jon (where the construction manager tried to tell me that the cabinets were 'fine' even though one of the doors was the wrong size, a problem I had flagged three times for them), my experience with Lennar was sub-standard! The builder failed to communicate that they didn't have a water meter for our home, so we were stuck living with my parents for a month while we waited. After we moved in the oven and the refrigerated broke, which Lennar employees said was pretty standard. Since moving in ~2 months ago, the HOA has already raised rates while failing to plow the roads or communicate about when certain amenities will be open. It's actually astounding how frequently Lennar bungles what are straightforward parts of their job. ... More

I will never buy a home again from lennar. The house was build very poorly. I will not recommend anyone to buy.

My home still does not have a front door lock. My construction manager told us he ordered the lock a day after we closed on October 21, 2024 and told us he would have it in two weeks. It is now December 12th and the construction manager does not return my calls. He has our garage door opener which he was supposed to use to open the house to install the lock so I will need it back or a replacement. This whole experience is unprofessional!

The entire team has been so fantastic. We had some issues with fencing and they all stepped up to help work it out. We have some minor things that need to be repaired and they were out here to inspect the next day and have scheduled for repair next week. Prompt and professional! The Lennar Team is top notch!

Overall, a good quality home. All the staff are great & very helpful. But the some of the materials used seem a bit cheap. The cabinets around the microwave are not good and done with multiple small pieces which visually isn’t appealing. The lights in the bathroom are not sufficient. Garage doors slam real hard. Some other minor stuff that can be improved.
