We purchased a 6-year-old model in bad shape, Lennar didn't correct every warranty item, just a few of them. They refused provide information and keys to the home. Therefore, we needed to locksmith and get new lock and keys for $340.00, and same the pavers we did them for $250,00 in Nov. 2024. But Lennar never repaid us.

Good house buying experience. Not happy with the ARC/property management. With a ARC this restrictive they need 3 car garages as an option for their homes!

I love my home but I feel like the purchasing experience wasn't good. The initial sales team was good and showed me the homes and features. I saw the same home listed for 25,000 to 30,000 less in the same street and I was told there was no room for negotiation. Then, once I chose the home and did the first blue tape walk, the construction team would just remove the blue tape but not fix the issues. I had to go multiple times to the house and remark with blue tape. The construction guy kept telling me they would fix the things, but next time the it was the same. Even after moving in, the same items were still open. Warranty guys have been pretty good and nice. Just the construction team needs to do better to follow up with the things to fix. ... More

I had lot of issues to close my recent home with Lennar. They didn't include my realtor name in my closing. I called customer service for some issues, but the response was very rude.

Lennar is a great company to use to build your home. They are responsive to questions or concerns and the quality is top notch.

Overall very happy with my home building and buying experience. There are some corners that were cut to save costs by Lennar that I feel should be reconsidered such as not including a refrigerator with purchase, as well as the glass door for the walk in showers. It is very hard to purchase a major appliance in the middle of financing for a mortgage and this is a huge added stress to the home buyer that shouldn’t be. The walk in shower glass not being included allows for hot/warm water to seep onto the floor at times even with a curtain up, and with rollout vinyl flooring this will overtime create a problem with the floors adhesive pulling up. The grading of the yard on the side of home was poor and doesn’t drain correctly which will cost me now to install French drain. For us, the actual purchase/closing experience was the worst part of owning at Prosperity Lakes. When we purchased in August, we were told that our closing was in 30 days; two - three weeks later it was changed to mid-October. Then it was changed two more times. To say this caused us incredible stress is an understatement (among other things) BUT I made contact with one of Lennar's Presidents and explained our situation. From that point forward it was absolutely smooth sailing. That's not to say we didn't have issues with the house, but their Customer Care team has worked diligently to get everything resolved to our satisfaction. Of particular note are Jason and Gabe -- these two men have literally been Godsends and have followed through on everything. I can't speak highly enough of them. I know that Lennar is a production builder and they are a publicly held company that answers to a Board of Directors - this is the biggest reason they don't offer options or make changes to their product and obviously the bottom line is of utmost concern to them - but I think a tighter quality of finished product could be managed and some higher end elements included in the homes for the 55+ active adult communities. For example, roll outs were included in the upper section of the kitchen cabinet bases but you are selling to 55+ people -- putting the roll outs in the lower section of the cabinets makes much more sense because bending and reaching into the lowest part of a cabinet opening is much more difficult. Also, making the doorways and hallways wider to accommodate wheelchairs makes much more sense for homes for this age group but there are definitely doorways and hallway entrances that would never accommodate a wheelchair and will require us to modify our home if we get to a wheelchair situation. There are other examples of where just a little more thought on layout/use could be implemented in the design phase that wouldn't impact the bottom line and would make the house more usable for the age group. Otherwise, we are excited about living here and looking forward to when the community amenities are available. We have already met so many great neighbors and that aspect of Prosperity Lakes Active Adult Community is what drew us in. ... More

The mortgage process was a breeze. Joel and his partner Jodi made it seamless, fun, and speedy. It was wonderful to work with their personalities are a breath of fresh air. I am also impressed by the way Lennar is managing my complaints. I am adding Josh in Customer Care to my list for being expedient, concerned, and attentive.

As with any new build, you will have a lot of dirt and debris, but a lot of of the ground is rock. These homes go up very quickly and you have to stay on top of quality control.. Overall very satisfied with my purchase and responsiveness to issues.

Felt dismissed and spoken down to after the contract was signed. Very condescending salesman. Michael.

Responsiveness to issues post settlement has been great, however, we were not as pleased with the sales experience.

We went from our home in Ohio to visit Shellwood by Lennar, and were very pleased with the look and location of the home. After talking to Wayne Goode, we felt comfortable putting in an offer right on the spot. Our offer was accepted, and we started working with the rest of the Lennar team. Our loan officer, Kevin Williams, was a delight to work with and made sure we understood everything associated with our new home purchase! He went above and beyond our expectations, and was available whenever we needed him. Jeremiah, our Lennar construction manager, made sure we understood how everything in the home worked, and how to get little issues fixed during our blue tape walkthrough. He was patient and kind during this process, and was available to answer any and all of our questions. We went with Lennar's closing agent, and Sarah put us right at ease since she was an old pro at doing closings. We especially appreciated her shorthand document regarding how to transfer residency to a new state since we had never moved outside of Ohio. Thank you Lennar!!! ... More

Great experience with Lennar and the team.

My experience was not good.

It’s quick and easy

Don not rely on homebuilder or workers as you have to watch and inspect everything they build or try and correct.

Our sales experience started great. Grace and Steve were very attentive. After that first day, it was like everyone except Steve and Priscilla forgot who we were. We had to beg for updates, and when we didn't get them, demand updates by putting everyone on emails, calling repeatedly, etc. We repeatedly asked for information on our close and were ignored. We repeatedly asked for the name of the closing coordinator and were ignored. We repeatedly asked for the name of our builder and were ignored. We were told at the last moments that our close had moved from September to October. Because we both work in this industry, we knew the close would not happen in October, and called it out; instead, we were assured it would happen. Unsurprisingly, the close was moved to November, and we were given less than two weeks notice - STILL not from the closing coordinator, and NEVER did we receive an email confirmation for the close from Lennar, only from title and Lennar Mortgage. We wanted an independent inspection, and, again, had to do our own repeated follow up with Lennar to make sure this happened. Over a month into our move, we still do not have mailbox keys, and THE ENTIRE DEVELOPMENT has to go to the post office to pick up our mail. That's unacceptable, and happens only because Lennar didn't submit the request for the work in a proper time. Mailboxes are almost always installed when the first homes are started in the neighborhood. WE'RE THE LAST SECTION OF HOMES BEING BUILT. That's completely unacceptable, but no one at Lennar can be bothered to care. Ryan and Taylor were very personable and responsive to our requests for repair in the NHO, but the quality of the build was far below what we expected in certain areas. The tile throughout was poorly set, but in the master bathroom it was AWFUL. Voids in the grout, crooked tiles, horribly cut thresholds - TERRIBLE. There were a total of FOUR DIFFERENT COLORS OF GROUT USED IN THE MASTER BATHROOM - White, Light Gray, Frost, and Dark Gray. I could go on and on about how bad our experience was, but I know it likely will be a waste of my time, and result in no corrective action taken by Lennar. We understand Lennar is an entry level, builder-grade home, and that these homes are built "within tolerances", however, at this moment we would be hard pressed to buy another Lennar home, and would struggle further to recommend anyone else to. For the price we pay for the home, you would think the quality would match however that isn’t the case. Not only did they rush to put it together, after we purchased the home before closing they were sloppy. We had a walk through and they still did not fix issues. Just removed some of the tape and acted like they did. Still to this day, we are finding tape they never addressed too. All around just think they are sloppy and want their money - not interested in having returning buyers bc they try to scam you.

It took us only a month to own a new house and as a first time buyer we’re so glad and thankful to the people who helped us in owning a house at an affordable price. The house is elegant looking and in a nice environment. We’re so thankful to Mr Matt at the sales office. He is so accommodating and a nice person to talk to as if we’ve been friends before. Ms Darci & Ms Rose were also helpful in walking me through in the loan process as to the required documents needed. Likewise, I would like to give my thanks to Ms Destiny & Michael in doing the occupancy check for approval in a timely manner.

This is our second production home purchase in the past four years. The other was from Taylor Morrison. Lennar provided a better overall experience than did Taylor Morrison. The home purchase process was relatively uneventful. All promises from the builder were kept. The home was not ready to close on the estimated date. That required an additional move on our part the cost of which was willingly borne by Lennar. We are satisfied with the home construction with the understanding that this was a production build. For the most part, builder grade materials and workmanship was expected and received. This necessitates much after the purchase modifications and improvements, but such was expected by us. The community is a pleasure in which to reside, and we have no regrets with our purchase. I would certainly purchase again from Lennar, and would recommend them to others. ... More

Helpful salesperson. Excellent lady that helped us with the walk throughs and had the minor problems fixed in no time.

We loved our buying experience with Lennar, this was our first time buying from Lennar and what we most loved was the fact that everything is included and we got everything just as the model is shown, no upgrades needed to receive a quality built home with everything in our wishlist, as well as the easy of knowing they offer lennar title services, lennar mortgage and lennar insurance. This made the entire home buying process seamless and simple

The house itself is nice and a good value for the money. The process of buying the house from the mortgage lender all the way through the celebration and acceptance had MUCH to be desired. Issues riddled throughout the entire process. Warranty claims had to be reopened because they were incorrectly denied. Several issues were found during the celebration walk and none of which were addressed before the home acceptance. The only person that kept their word through the entire process was the sales agent, Dennis. Even when I told him of some of the issues that I was having he jumped right in to assist with getting things resolved even though it was not his job to do so. All in all I love the house. I just wish I didn't have so many problems during the purchasing process and fighting to get repairs completed. ... More
