The townhome is a quick build, no frills, very basic shower heads and the plastic toilets lids, single paint on walls, carpet has no pad very cheap carpet, with tack strip that was not nailed down properly and walking in the house with socks my feet get picked, sloppy trim work and texture finish

I’m very happy and excited to my new home at Lennar/Dalton. Buying a new house is not easy, especially first time, this is my first experience to buy a house, I almost quit. My home consultant and loan officer helped me a lot during the process. They explained all the requirements needed and for me to understand. The best part I was approved, I got my new home excited and happy Bernadeth from California

I was going through difficult times and Eric and Lindsey were very helpful, understanding and was there for me throughout the purchase. I am very thankful for them.

Rushed through walk thru. Was lied to about numbers were placed on house. It was never done. Took 2 months after closing to have house numbers put on house.

We identified some workmanship issues and also noticed that some of the front yart plants were dead during the walk-through session. We were disappointed that the dead plants were not replaced as it was promised and some workmanship defects were not fixed.

Great price on a quality home..Lennar mortgage caused some anxiety along with closing surprises and a little heavy handed on the closing..Lennar real estate agents were not very helpful..The house is built with quality materials.. overall I am satisfied

Enjoying our new home and neighborhood..

We picked the house because the lot was wooded in the back. Salesperson commented this was her favorite lot because of the trees. One week after closing, we were the last house to close in this section, they came and cut down about 75% of the trees. We no longer have a shaded patio and private back yard. . Apparently the plan all along was to cut down the trees once the homes closed. Nobody told us that was the plan. We now have a golf course view. If we had known the plan was to remove the trees we may have considered a different lot or subdivision. We love the house and floor plan but it has taken some time to get used to the trees being gone. Any issues we have had with the house have been taken care in a very timely way. ... More

Overall home is OK. Nothing that makes them stand out above other area builders. We liked the floor plan over other builders options. Utilizing Lennar mortgage was a nightmare.

My only issue is the quality of the workmanship in certain trades. Most of what is discovered after move in, can be easily caught. Light fixtures off center, chipped tiles, etc. Lennar does stand behind their product. It becomes time consuming after completion.

Quinton took care of the issues what we had ! He’s very helpful and kind in placing an order for one of our kitchen cabinet which was damaged during the installation , now we are waiting for the installer to do the installation . We have some six month issues will submit them soon. Hopefully he will take care of those issues as well . We are very happy and satisfied with Lennar Builders . Thank you !

Lennar has absolutely no control, whatsoever, over their subs who eat food and leave food scraps on the floor, ketchup on the new woodwork, and the paint sub dragged their muddy boots all over the brand new carpet at the most critical time just days before closing. Lennar, however, would not do a complete carpet replacement, even though those same boots made God only knows how many trips across the street to the disgusting disease-ridden port-a-let. The finish workmanship was the worst I have ever seen in 40 years of purchasing new homes. The finish workers (literally) nailed trim boards all over the house with chunks of dirt and mud on them, which no doubt got painted over by the paint sub. Unbelievably disappointing!!! My very first beginner home with Arbor all those years ago was better built and at least had subs who respected my new home. The region construction manager, Adam, was the only positive or bright spot, and he was very good to work with and did his best to try to make things right, otherwise my scores would be a “1” across the board (some “0” if that was a possible score). In the end, profit and dollars prevailed for Lennar and Adam was handcuffed with what he could offer to remedy the situation. ... More

This house is perfect for my family,it’s a 5 bedroom duplex carriage with lots of space and in a beautiful&serene location in Westfield..

Great and smooth in overall buying experience.

We were rushed through our final walkthrough. Jonathan was the individual who did our walkthrough with us. There were numerous issues that were not corrected. The drywall around one of the heater vents was horrible and they tried to fixed it by slapping drywall mud all over it when the damage was something that would require the drywall around it to be cut out and replaced.This was brought to Jonathan’s attention. There was a huge void in the center of one of the bedroom floors where it was evident there was no pad under the carpet. The carpet was not tacked down and was brought to Jonathan’s attention, but not corrected by the time we were finished with closing. I explained to Jonathan that we were moving things into the house and they would have to move furniture in order to re-tack the carpet. Jonathan told me this would be my responsibility. The plug for the refrigerator in the Nexgen did not work. I notified Jonathan of this on the day of closing and he told me to submit a warranty request. The A/C units were leveled out with a few clumps of dried clay; there is no solid base under them. A rain storm eroded much of the steep incline on both sides of the house. Jonathan said they would not fix it. At closing, the Lennar Title representative said they would have to regrade the slope. Also, the north side yard is VERY STEEP and Jonathan said they would not install a retaining wall. This is a fall hazard. After closing, Jonathan was informed of what was told to us at closing. He said he would let the superintendent know and get back with us. It has been almost 2 months and I have not heard a word from Jonathan or the superintendent. There is dirt and debris, to include trash from workers in the heater vents, hard lumps under the carpet, as well as under the tile in the laundry room (probably drywall mud that was not scraped off). The wall in the living room of the Nexgen bows out significantly and Jonathan said nothing could be done about it as all of the Superhomes are like that around the air vent. I met with the neighbors, who also have a Superhome, and their wall does not bow out. Jonathan just did not want to fix this like so many other things. The wood used for the railings is TOTAL JUNK!! Super rough, warped, and cracking. SPLINTER HAZARD!! I did try to submit a warranty request but it would not allow me to log in. I then tried about 2 weeks later and it kicked me out of the request before I had completed all of the issues. We let our sales rep know about the issues we were having and still no response from Lennar. We’ll see if anybody really reads though this and tries to reach out! ... More

THE INTIRE PROCESS WAS A JOKE. SALEMAN WAS AWFUL FROM THE GET GO. TONS OF ISSUES, SEE MY PREVIOUS REVIEWS

This is my first time buying with Lennar, would I do it again ? NO the quality of materials used are the cheapest they can find. As I watch the new builds down the street, I see unskilled day labor being used. They break a door and toss it. No care is given to the quality of work or workers! To be honest, they really need to find good at least half skilled labor. Mostly I see unskilled illegals working. Brought in by the truckload daily, no lie they work, but have no idea what they are doing. My low voltage electric to doorbell was put in as a 16volt and should have been a 24 voltage, the "best" electrician was sent out with a sidekick that didn't speak English. We were told there was no problem and we just didn't know what we were doing. A week later I was right and the Ring doorbell was burnt out by the wrong voltage being used!! Had to call them out for an electric short in the bedroom and the ceiling fan blowing the fuse. The box in the ceiling was broken, but added anyway then painted over in an attempt to hide it! Again the "best" electrician was sent. He blamed us and said we caused it. When my husband attempted to show him the problem (a pinched wire in the wall) he again said we must have caused it and then ran out the door with his minion. Honestly, if I knew all this, I would have skipped over this builder all together! It's a nightmare. The ceramic floor was floated and grouted correctly.. kind of.. but never sealed ! We were told in a year they will check it, regrout and then WE have to seal it??? Um, I've never heard of such a thing! The garage is supposed to be a 2 car, but only if you do not have any extra stuff to store there. We have to park in the driveway because you cannot get 2 cars in it and get out without a can opener. Again, who builds a house like that.??? Also, no storage ANYWHERE! The attic area was insulated wrong and most areas of the house inside and out were not sealed with caulk correctly. Ants and other things get in and we had to finish the work correctly. Unbelievable- i will sell as soon as i can to find something more livable. ... More

There are things that don’t work to your needs, like cabinets in the kitchen, poor design, especially because supposedly are for older people, they should be easier to set up things…. the shower door is out of balance, so goes back to you and hits you when you are trying to get dry; the extractor by the stove is not attached to any tube that goes outside the roof, so you get all that noise for nothing, because the hot air and smoke goes back into your space …… The quality of the open and close blinders are extremely cheap and they probably will brake soon and it’ll be no way to fix it; that will be money out of your pocket; the system to stop the water in case of a ceiling sprinkler deploys is absurd, it should be one fast key that shuts off the water, not to have to go out to the street to open that heavy cover, lift it and shut off the main valve, like i said it’s ridiculous, especially if you are an older person; there is no cold water in the summer, all the water comes warm, now with the temperatures going down it’s getting better, but shouldn’t be, that means there is poor insulation where the water is passing thru those pipes…….the extractor switch in the laundry room is near the ceiling, so you have to use a step chair to set it on and off, again ridiculous system for housing people over 55 and older…. i have to say that i’m very disappointed with the building and architectural design…. ... We love our home, it’s great. We are old, retired and are very technologically challenged. That was our problem .I’m sure others would not have the same issues. When supplying required information to Lennar we were ask to provide that by computer formats we didn’t know or understand. We informed all of this and were told help would be given. Some was, but we perceived to be a problem to them instead. Much time was wasted and we became very frustrated. The process of buying a new home became very unpleasant. I’m sure others more savvy would fair much better than us.

I absolutely love my home. The experience with Lennar Lenders was horrible to say the least. Communication was terrible and the constant arguing between my realtor and the lender was so unprofessional via email was just over the top. I ended up going with a different lending company and everything from that point on was AMAZING. I received daily updates and the lenders made sure to keep me informed via phone calls and emails. The incentives were even better. Do your research and remember you are important and also that you do not have to go through Lennar Lenders for incentives.

Everyone I have spoken to had a bad experience with Lennar, that is a bad coincidence. "The builders try to get away with short cuts and hide things". "If you do not get your own third party inspector then your home will be put together with staples" is what I was told by an existing neighbors when viewing homes and speaking to other home owners in the neighborhood. I got a great deal on the house that is the only reason I bought it, I couldn't pass it up. The area, the builder, had nothing to do with it. I don't have anything to say about Lennar, because I wasn't worried about how they treated me, I don't need to make friends, I was concerned about the home and made sure they did it right. ... More

My experience was great, worth the effort dedication and sacrifice. My sales consultant was highly professional, empathetic and caring. My loan officer very quick responding and informative. Overall, I'm greatful and blessed to have and enjoy our new home with my family.
