I trusted Lennar for providing a carefree house, however please get your own inspector.

The buying experience was very good. I had tried to buy a house before, and it was a nightmare. But Lennar made their process easy. The house design is wonderful however, the quality of the material used in the building are Mid tier. The customer service was good, but once the house was purchased, I didn’t get any response to my inquiries. Overall, I’ll give them an 7 out of 10. I’m going to recommend going with them for affordability.

great value for money. builder wont cover cosmetic after closing even though home never moved into for a while after closing (and before move in). So be careful in documenting exhaustively all issues.

I recently purchased a home from Lennar, and overall, my experience was quite positive with a few areas for improvement. What I liked: The offer process was smooth and well-coordinated. Lennar's team communicated promptly and ensured that everything progressed as expected. Both the loan officer and the customer sales agent were extremely helpful, making the home-buying journey seamless and less stressful. The construction manager was receptive to any issues I pointed out and was always ready to address them. He also provided some valuable tips on home maintenance. Areas for improvement: There were times when I found it difficult to communicate or reschedule meetings. Some walk-throughs were scheduled without considering my availability, and my attempts to reschedule went unanswered. This led to a few inconvenient situations where I had no choice but to attend as scheduled. While the home overall meets expectations, I feel the quality could be better in some areas. For example, I noticed that the wood quality in the attic was not up to par, and some details like missing garage opener studs were disappointing. Ok, but could have been a higher quality product/ material. Electrical GFIs are not installed so you cannot use a hair dryer without tripping the power. The postal service is non existent, online packages undeliverable since the address does not exist. The most frustrating is the address being not found. No food delivery services or Uber cabs or any deliveries gets to us. We’ve had to use the Publix supermarket as our drop off. I’m told it will get started soon so until then, I “reside” at Publix on Palm Drive!

Punchlist items have been slow to be resolved. I closed on March 28th and am still waiting for two major items to be resolved. Also, there was lack of communication regarding my mailbox and i never received the keys. I am waiting for the keys so i can get my mail.

We recently moved into our new home in Smyrna, DE built by Lennar. and while we presume the overall construction is solid the design of the home met our expectations. We were disappointed to find noticeable scratches on the sink, stove and countertop which were missed in the walkthroughs. These is a brand-new build, so it was frustrating to see damage right from the start. Other items that were missed during the buying process, shame on us, include no towel bars in the bathrooms, inadequate lighting, lack of shelving in the primary shower, very basic shower heads and overall less than satisfying landscaping around the property. ... Overall a pretty good experience

Although the buying experience was smooth and easy, upon delivery the 1st day my AC broke making the move in 90’ weather difficult and it took a week to get repaired. Since moving in I’ve had contractor after contractor in my home doing repairs that quite frankly should have been addressed prior to turn over. Broken roof trusses, roof repairs needed, drainage issues poor carpet installation to name a few. My back yard has been a swampy since move in 8 weeks ago because of an issue with the sump pump installation. Overall I like my home but am disappointed with all of the complications, they definitely need better quality control, as the contractors do subpar work, and the builder clearly just wants to get the house delivered so they get there money. I paid fair market value for a home that has had me stuck waiting for repairs every week since I moved in, and I still have many more to go. If you buy a Lennar home make sure you do your own home inspection, they clearly don’t monitor construction well. After the first year those repairs will fall on your wallet, and absorb a lot of time waiting for repairs ... More

The financing and home buying experience was simple and easy. There have been several issues since we’ve moved in including our roof leaking the weekend we moved in. The issues are being handled but we are very concerned about what else will come up. It’s also a little frustrating that Lennar wouldn’t work with us on the initial house that we wanted and turned about less than a month later and sold it for $46k less than what we offered.

Hello, well, almost everything was wonderful, until I found a damaged kitchen drawer on the second walk-through. Submitted a service ticket. I got the response from the agent that Lennar does not cover that. Wow, what a surprise. The agent sent me to the kitchen cabinet company, Distinctive Kitchens and Baths, and left a message. will see what happened.

My home buying experience with Lennar has been overwhelmingly positive. The purchasing process was smooth, the financing team was fantastic to work with, and the sales staff were helpful and responsive throughout. Even after the sale, the people who have supported me with warranty issues have been excellent—professional, prompt, and thorough. However, the one major downside has been my experience with Lennar’s virtual call center. In particular, I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing interaction with a phone representative named Shannon, who abruptly hung up on me mid-conversation. This left me uncertain and concerned about whether my warranty issues would be addressed. Despite requesting to speak with her manager, I’ve still heard nothing back—only silence from that part of the organization. Thankfully, the local team handling the actual repairs has been great, but this call center experience was unacceptable and left a lasting negative impression. ... More

They build a home, not a custom home

My overall experience was great until we moved in. We found a couple of issues (a chipped tile and a couple of drywall issues) the superintendent came by took pictures and submitted a work order and that was the last time that we heard anything from Lennar.

The home buying experience was nice. Everything worked well. Now that we're living at the house we started noticing how crappy some things are. After a month and a half living here, yesterday we were able to use the dishwasher. We couldn't use it because whoever installed it didn't put a part for the water to work on the appliance. And everyone at Lennar instead of swapping the dishwasher, to look good with us, simply told us to call warranty. Warranty for something brand new that didn't performed correctly from day one. Can you believe that? Bathroom's have no accesories at all. Not even for putting the toilet paper and bath towels. Things that you don't look at the wall through because, simply, you are looking into more important things. ... More

good experience, professional sales staff, mortgage company with Lennar not a good experience used an outside source

The initial buying experience was great, Phil and Jennifer did a great job getting me looked after. There were several issues with the features of the house that I was nit happy at all with unknown to myself or the sales department.

Be sure to check things like cabinet & drawer spacing. Can't open drawers if you add handles because they're too close together. Not covered by warranty to fix after the fact, so you're stuck. Spacing in carpet pad which causes issues with trip hazards in carpeting. Did not include patio pad in backyard nor a level area for trash bins. Have to jump through hoops with HOA to get those things added.

Our construction supervisor Chase is awesome! We had a couple of minor issues after purchase and he jumped all over it immediately. Our sales person "T" and both Homebuyer Concierges (Patricia and Misty) are also very responsive, professional and "get things done." Would rec Lennar to anyone

The buying process was easy and efficient. The repairs were mostly timely. I still have a few outstanding issues. My biggest concern is that the website states that all of the appliances are included. My neighbors received all of the appliances listed on the website as promised. I did not. I did not receive a washer dryer refrigerator or air conditioning like my neighbors. I have requested information and resolve from customer care, and the regional vice president about this issue and have not been given a response.

It was wonderful experience purchasing the house. The team of Lennar was helpful and guided us all the way. The only complaint I have is the quality of workmanship and materials is not up to standard.

The process was fast and efficient. We were able to do inspection at framing and post drywall. The final walk we found numerous items that the builder claimed were cosmetic (poor contractor practices) that will eventually become issues. Water pooling on the seat in the shower. Trim that should be square left at noticeable angles. Metal hardware left in the garbage disposal that we can't remove. They just got it done in the 92 day deadline with little effort to do it right.

Overall, great experience everybody very helpful and knowledgeable, but a lot of details to fix in the house

This is the best bang for your buck in the current housing market as a first time home buyer.
