Best home buying experience ever, worst mortgage loan experience ever!

Melissa, our mortgage loan officer, was fantastic and went out of her way to help with the mortgage loan process. However, the Lennar underwriters were terrible. They waited until the last minute before closing, then expected us to jump through hoops, gave no clear instructions on what they needed or how, called while we were in the middle of packing, were unreachable for return calls, and ultimately caused our closing to be delayed which put a wrench in the entire process.

Builder grade appliances and landscaping.

We bought an already built house and closed within 3 weeks. Because the house was almost finished we did not get to choose appliances, cabinets, or extras……builder grade appliances are just ok. But we did get a great price! Wish that we had more time but needed a house quickly. The best part of Lennar was our sales person Steven and our walk through specialist Darren…….we purchased in Bridgewalk, Saint Cloud, Florida. We are happy with the purchase.

Unfortunately some of the information I was given during my final walk-through was incorrect and will mean an additional expense for me which is unexpected. Other than that I really had a good experience and I am very happy with the home.

I thought the process was a bit bureaucratic. Too many people doing too many things and not clear who my lawyer needed to connect with. Once you found the right person it seemed fine but I wish it would have been a little clearer and there was more engaging. I don't regret the experience but I wished it was a little more collegial

Our experience has been great thus far. Our salesperson was good but once we decided to buy, things really started to move. Loan process was good as was move-in process. Some minor issues but they have been addressed. My one concern is the lawn. We began watering as soon as we moved in but the lawn may have suffered in the interim before could begin watering it. Large patches are dead.

Lennar's staff was very easy to work with. From our first appointment to the picking up our keys, Lennar accommodated our needs and requests throughout the homebuying process. A business I could trust and personal relationship to continue in the future.

We had a great experience overall with the home buying process. All of the lenders were wonderful to work with, and the initial team member who guided us through the early stages was incredibly helpful and made everything feel smooth and manageable. The only downside was our experience with the “concierge” role. In the initial email, it was presented as the main point of contact for any questions or next steps. However, when we reached out, the responses often came across as dismissive, and at times we felt like our questions were an inconvenience. We also called and left multiple messages ...

Many issues still resolving since purchasing

We were originally told that our closing date was mid March 2026. Sales Mgr moved it up to end of Feb. My husband was recovering from a neck fusion surgery and was not going to be able to be cleared for travel until first week of march. Lennar pushed us anyway stating that they would keep our deposit and could cancel. While we understand the contract terms, this left a very bad taste with us. At final walk through there was paint and caulking debris throughout the house on the floor. We were told at that time that the floor would be acid washed before we closed. It was not. They ...

Our buying experience with Lennar went very well. We had visited the area but we were still living out-of-state. Our purchase in Sequim was handled all on-line. The communications were excellent especially with Lennar Title. The sale of our home in AZ closed the same day as the purchase of our new home in Sequim. The process went very smoothly. Our new home orientation had to be conducted on-line since we had not relocated yet. The new home coordinator on site in Sequim did an excellent job and she was, and continues to be, available if we have additional questions or need more ...

Overall good and smooth experience. Only bummer is that we have not yet been able to get the mailbox keys from the post office, it’s been almost two months now. This information was not disclosed to us when we were purchasing the house that we have to get the mailbox keys on our own and that the builder is not responsible for that.

My experience was good, I didn't get into my home on the date agreed on... But, since being in my home.... the only problem I have is with the flooring,(the flooring technician did a crappy job) and I had to purchase my own venetian blinds. Otherwise, I'm enjoying my new HOUSE....

Home buying with Lennar has its both ups and downs. The hardest part of the process is the approval and mortgage processing which i recommend to have a backup mortgage company to make sure that everything will flow smoothly. The house and support from the builder in preparing it before the move has been great. Lennars app has been really helpful to coordinate things. Overall Lennar as a builder has been great. As a Mortgage company maybe fair I guess it’s a case to case basis.

Thuy was a gem. I’m not computer savvy and she was Very helpful in showing me how to find and sign documents when I got lost. It was very fast paced. We like the roomy space in the house and it’s enough for me and my husband. We were glad they allowed us to come in and sign on closing day. We’re having fun decorating our new home.

Great Experience with Lennar

This process was fast (16 days start to finish) and we were not prepared to move in 16 days, but we did it. The process is definitely nerve wracking because things move so fast and if it is your first time buying a home, it will be very overwhelming. However, everyone is amazing with helping and walking your through things. The most nerve-wracking thing was not knowing you had the final approval until days before the closing and having to pack up your house and do all the things associated with moving totally by faith! That part was probably the most frustrating thing, but it's the way it ...

Be prepared for pushy mortgage process

While the sales team and quality team were excellent, the mortgage “process” (not the people) was very stressful. Lennar pushes to close quickly on inventory homes, and mortgages require many steps to complete, which means they do not give the buyer much time to produce documents, or information. They set the close date quickly and threaten to “lose your great rate”, if you do not meet the time demands for disclosure. They would not schedule my closing on a date I preferred, but on a date they wanted. I believe my situation would have been much more pleasant if these demands were more relaxed ...
