This was a very fast process especially if you have all of the required documents ready. The saleswoman, and loan officer worked together and answered every question. The loan officer held our hand and she was great. Now the underwriting was a different story. This was the most difficult part of the whole ordeal. Bottom line have all your ducks in a row. We are very pleased with this investment.

Make sure to check everything before closing. They will rush you saying you will miss the closing by promising we will do it later. After closing, they will change it saying you have to reach out to warranty team. This is ridiculous. Hvac switches are interchanged, light dome is missing. Backyard landscaping screwed up. Lot more to say.. Sales person involve in everything and when you say something is not right, the response is let construction team handles it. Shame!!

Overall amazing home-buying experience

This was, hands down the best home buying experience I've ever had. First off, I had very few issues. The quality and care is a cut above the home building industries. The builder is either on top of problems before they get to you, or they have somehow attracted the best workers. Lennar is super organized with answers to questions you didn't know you'd have available at your fingertips. They have reasonable prices without choosing cheap materials. I would absolutely buy Lennar again in the future.

I've purchased three houses in my lifetime, but none of the experiences compare to the terrible service provided by Lennar. Starting with the sales team, they are excessively pushy and pressure you into making impulsive decisions. They employ scare tactics and provide misleading information about the property. I strongly advise against making impulsive decisions and recommend thoroughly checking all sales information before making a purchase. Additionally, the sales team will email you the contract but fail to go through it with you to explain any details. The lender team also ...

We just bought a house and it came completely filthy. Paint splatters all over the floor. Screen door not fixed as they told us it would be. They just rush you through and pressure you to sign off and make promises that they don’t stick to. Beware on the construction sign off.

Lennar responded:

- Hard to find the right person to explain the detailed T&C in the contract documents. - No one tells the whole flow, and the progress. Many Lennar internal teams like Lennar Insurance, Lennar Title, Lennar Mortgage, are not talking to each other. As a buyer, I have to explain and reach out each one for any supports needed. - After the closing, not sure when and how can the buyer get the full set of official documents including the registered deed. - The construction team did the sod installation before the mutual agreed date without notice, resulting the huge extra costs and longer time ...

Overall the experience was good. There was a lack of communication at times. When asked to re-evaluate certain items in the home, there were times we were given the runaround. A few items we asked to be fixed before closing, we were then told they were fixed but after closing we had to have them re-assess items that needed correcting. At the end of the day, we would go with Lennar again, and we love our house. Just could not give 5 stars for those few things.

The entire homebuying process was a nightmare from start to finish. Salesman was not knowledgeable at all to the product or process. Then the mortgage team I dealt with was absolutely horrid and unreachable most of the time. I almost pulled out of the deal due to frustration and complications that were unnecessary. In addition to this there is a design issue in the house that wont allow me to get furniture up the stairs. I am not a genius but even I can figure out that if you're building a house with all bedrooms upstairs you should design a staircase and handrail that allows you to get ...

From beginning to end, this home-buying experience has been a nightmare. The salesman was unresponsive to our issue with an unfinished garage wall. The Title Company used by the builder was also responsive to our requests to meet in person for the purchase agreement signing. Worst of all, they recorded the WRONG names with the county. When asked when it would be corrected, I had to file two complaints with Headquarters in order to get things fixed. As of yet, they are still not recording our requested language in the warranty deed, as other title companies have done for us, after putting us ...

I recently bought a home with Lennar what started a smooth process quickly went sour.. As expected the lender needed a lot of information and documentation which was fine but as time went on they kept going back and fourth on what they needed even asking for forms that were not available and disregarding the documents I sent that had the information they were looking for although a long process and poor expectations being set I understand it’s a lot to work with but could have been made easier and more coordinated. When I finally closed on the hike after changing the expected move in date ...

Constant threats of losing your deposit even though they didn't approve you and sends you to another place to get approved very sketchy. They approve you even though you cant actually afford a property to make a sale. The house itself was way overpriced for the area in what you actually get, no fans anywhere in the home and all bedrooms don't even have lights wtf is that. A bunch of damage that was identified through the walkthroughs that still have not been fixed and its been 3-4 months already. They leave you with a dirt backyard no grass or anything and left a BUNCH of construction trash ...

Wow, where do we start? When we actually stepped into the home, it was completely different than what we anticipated. One layout we received didn’t match on the AC units. We should have 2 and they insisted that we were only supposed to have 1 unit in a 2-story 3,000-square foot home. During the walkthrough process, some items were not completed and they still expected us to sign off as if they were completed. Very shady. We’ve been here about 6 weeks and have submitted multiple service tickets. It seems like we find a new issue every day. The communication between the loan ...

The home was nearly complete when we chose to purchase. At that point we received links to progress along the way, contacts for any questions we might have. The house was completed in a very timely manner with only a few minor findings in the walk through and these were all taken care of quickly. All the people were friendly and helpful the entire way. The community is well planned and has good curb appeal.

The Worse Home Buying Experience

I’ve purchased a couple of homes prior to this experience with different builders and I can say this was hands down the worse home buying experience for me and my family from beginning to end. Lennar’s lack of communication throughout different departments and with me and my realtor when making inquires caused us to have to spend unnecessary money and Lennar didn’t take anyone’s time but their own into consideration. This experience was unpleasant, depressing, and stressful. Based on this experience I wouldn’t buy another home with this builder and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone else.

Beautiful Home So Far - Hidden Issues and Not So Great Customer Service

Our home buying journey started very well everyone was so nice, enthusiastic and responsive. This was very important as a first time homebuyer as “we didn’t know what we didn’t know.” However once we were committed to the purchase the quality of customer service declined severely. It was very difficult to get ahold of key contacts for questions/concerns. Our realtor had to intervene on several occasions just to get a response. It definitely felt like a bait and switch in terms of care. We were simply happy to get through the process but are thrilled with the home thus far and encouraged by a ...
