Painter sloppy, Tile floors marked up, dishwasher was not installed correctly… gaps in sliding doors big enough for mice to get through… I see the A/C repair guy at one house or another every day on my street.

Some issues got resolved immediately, but others are taking a while.

We close on a home that is worth almost 500k and the entire house was dirty, including all widows, bathtub, shower, rug and drywall was cracked . there were multiple holes that we told was going to fixed before closing but they were not. When i came into the house after closing, i was suprised. Is been over a month, and am still looking for a product that will remove stain and foot mark on my floor. I told the construction manager the day after we moved in but she ignored me. She also called me troubled another time, i spoke to her. They left a bucket of dirty water in the bedroom. I can't believe it. Bad job done overall. The house was rushed. I don't think I will refer anyone to lennar. The only reason why I rate this a 2 is only because of the customer Care. They responded to me immediately and fixed what they could. The guy in charge was so helpful. If I was to rate him alone, I will give him a 5 star. ... More

This was overall a great experience. We would have liked to have a little more choices on what we wanted. Like a gas connect on the back patio The dryer vent is too close to the door. With the dryer in front of it the door won’t close and used a 50 amp receptacle so I had to use an oversize power cord. Overall a beautiful, well built home well worth the money.

I am sad I used an outside realtor who was not the best; however, the Lennar staff has been amazing both during and after the process. Juan, Daniel, David, Jason have all been amazing!! We did have some minor electrical issues, but they corrected everything promptly once I reached out to them.

I was a cash buyer. I wasn't happy with working with Title company. Customer care after purchase was very disappointed. There was fuse breaker issue with Refrigerator. I requested 5 times and ask sales rep then they finally contact me to fix it. My wooden floor got water damage due to late fix. Water filter in refrigerator leaked due to fuse keeps pop out and ice maker turned off and leak waters on the floor. I have been purchased new home more than 5 times, Lennar was very unprofessional.

Every part of the process from first walking into the model home until the day of closing, was fantastic. The Home is beautiful. Encountered one or two small details that had issues after closing. I called Lennar and they were at my home in a week to fix it. Fantastic

It seems like you are more interesting in getting rid of your inventory than helping your customers buy a home . Poor, poor customer service. No pleased

We moved in to our home on August 29, 2023. From the time of the 1st walk through, it was a rough go. There were many things to be fixed which is to be expected. What wasn’t expected was the way things were handled. We were told we had to sign off on the home which acknowledged that everything was good. When we said we would not sign off without putting some type of comments stating the items needing to be fixed, we were told we can’t do that and if we didn’t sign, then escrow would not close on time. Within the next week, many of the small items were fixed but the large items remained unresolved and continue to be to this day almost two months later. Some of our “major” fixes are the primary bath tub, the kitchen sink, the primary bath shower grout and the air conditioning. Here is an overview of our experience on these items. - The primary tub had a chunk broken out of it. We had to fight hard to get a new tub as we were told it would only be fixed, not replaced. When you pay this much money for something new, you should get a new item, not a repaired one. After it was repaired to our dissatisfaction the first time, it was ultimately replaced with a new one. - The kitchen sink had a small dent in the front. We were told the same story as the tub ie fixed, not replaced. After many discussions, missed appointments, and attempts, it was finally replaced on October 11. - The wrong grout was put into the Primary bath shower. We have yet to hear anything on this even though we have asked for updates several times. This is a very disappointing situation as we paid thousands extra for large tile and the installation of this tile. The pattern virtually disappears because the grout is white on white tile. The only resolution given to us by the designer before escrow closing was to stain the grout. We did not want our main bath to look like an after thought as we know staining this is not the correct solution. When asked why they don’t cut the grout out and replace it, we were told because they may chip the tile. The thought of this whole thing has physically made me sick. I have never used my main bath shower as a result. - The air conditioning. This is probably the most upsetting and alarming situation of all. When we did the walkthrough, we said we didn’t think the A/C was functioning properly. We were told it would be checked. On the second walk through, we brought it up again and told it was checked and functioning properly. After we moved in, we reported it again and we’re told it was checked including checking each register to ensure the air was coming out at the proper temperature. We knew it wasn’t working properly since we had rooms in the house that were hot and others that were freezing. Since Lennar considered this item closed in their books, we spent almost $200 out of our pocket to have an air conditioning company come out to check the system. Bottom line - there were 2 code violations, it was low on refrigerant, the units are undersized and installed backwards. We forwarded the report to Lennar who said they would send their A/C company out again. After Lennar’s second review, they acknowledged that everything the independent A/C company cited is correct. The code violations were fixed and refrigerant added; however he said he needed to get with his boss to discuss the remaining issues. It appears the A/C units were installed correctly but were designed wrong! The 3 1/2 ton unit is servicing the primary bedroom and bath, and the 1 1/2 ton unit is servicing the remainder of the house. This explains why the master is always freezing no matter how high we set the thermostat. A couple of the other rooms are hot no matter how low we set the thermostat. We still have no word from Lennar on how or when this problem will be fixed. The more alarming part is, you have many other homes in this development with the same problem as there are at least 6 or 7 other homes of this same model. Needless to say, this has not been a happy experience for us. Moving during the best of scenarios is one of the top three stressful things you can do in your life. Lennar does a good job of selling you on the front end but a very poor job through the process and delivering on the back end. ... More

Most of the experience was good with the exception of the closing process. They close of the house was delayed by a month or later. We were charged a rate extension fee through Lenar mtg and were told that this would be credited back and it never was. I tried following up on this several times only to get delay after delay which leads me to the thought that it’s really just a stall tactic until I go away. This has been a terrible experience when it should’ve been a great one.

Everything was wonderful until the end of the month of August came. We were scheduled to close on 9/8/2023 and for some reason they pushed it to 8/30/3023. My husband and I took the day off, drove in the middle of a hurricane to the location we were told to be only to realize no one else was in the parking lot and and we contacted them they had forgotten to tell us it had been moved to 8/31/2023, which we were worried we couldn't go because we couldn't just ask our boss to let us have the next day off as well. If that had only been the only bad thing... 8/31/2023 came and we thought we weren't going to close because the county had denied the Certificate of Occupancy but miraculously were able to go to the closing. They had offered a mobile notary due to the uncertainty of us being able to go during work hours, which was a good thing because even though I had submitted a request to change the way they had my husband's name they never did so it needed to be reprinted about 3 times. We were in the office until about 10pm - 11pm, the wait wasn't horrible but it seemed they decided to close a lot of homes that day. When we closed they didn't have our keys but thankfully the house had a smart lock so we could go in with a code. But when we went into the house it was disgusting. Construction debris everywhere, the garage had doors and trims. Every surface of the house had dust, the guest bathroom tub was filthy. Later we would find out that the construction team had NO idea the house had cleared to close so they never prepared it for closing. Of course with the house not being cleared to close there were also items still not finished. Thankfully though Lennar HAS been amazing in this regard and the moment we find something that is missing or broken they fix it within a week or less. Every single person we speak with has been wonderful in their attention and service. The house itself, after the items on the list were taken care of, is wonderful. I'm just left with being upset that my first ever home buying experience was this. I wanted to walk into my new home and be overjoyed my years long dream had finally come true and instead I needed my inhaler due to all the dust... ... More

Wawww Lennar builder is the best I have compared with others in Indiana in terms of pricing and size of house. They are very responsive and smoothly processed through the buying period. Really request for buyer to go with Lennar builder for reliable price.

Lennar was awesome. They worked with me beyond what anyone else would have. They didn't let me give up. They just kept going for me. Would truly recommend them to family and friends.

Not a great experience

THIS IS MY THIRD CONDO AT BABCOCK NATIONAL. I SHOULD HAVE LEARNED FROM THE FIRST CONDO EXPERIENCE NOT TO PURCHASE A SECOND ONE. MY THOUGHT WAS TO GIVE LENNAR A SECOND CHANCE WHICH I DID. THE EXPERIENCE WAS A LITTLE BETTER BUT STILL DISMAL. THE THIRD IS BACK TO THE FIRST, VERY BAD, THE WORKMANSHIP IS TERRIBLE AND THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGERS ARE TOO BUSY PUSHING OUT NEW PRODUCT RATHER THAN TAKING CARE OF THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALREADY CLOSED ON THEIR UNITS. NO MORE LENNAR FOR ME.

Terrible overall experience. The salesman, salesman’s supervisor, concierge, Construction Foreman all were horrible. The lack of follow through and returning calls was unacceptable. The title company returned half of my calls until I closed then stopped returning my calls. Ken, who did the warranty walk through and sign off was great. I’m a seasoned investor and not a first time home buyer which is what they are used to dealing with. They prey on the ignorance of the buyer and don’t put the buyer first.

We did everything remotely after picking out the style of home and lot we liked. The team at Lennar was always relaying messages and weekly videos of our new home. They made it seem like they were there the entire time!

The closing experience have been complicated. Bernard

Arthur our sales person from the beginning of the sales process up through closing was always there to answer any questions and work on our behalf as needed. Post closing we have been quite happy and pleased with the virtual customer service calls established to handle any service requests for minor interior and a couple exterior repairs/replacements.

I purchased my home after visiting a girlfriend back in May. My husband and I had the pleasure of our sales representative Neil H. to enlighten us on all the qualities and benefits of owning a Lennar home. It was not until the end of June that I called Neil and told him we wanted to buy a home here at Liberty Village. Living our entire lives outside of Boston I was a little nervous taking the plunge to move although my husband was 100% ready to move. Neil literally checked in consistently with me taking photos and videos of the house being built every stage of the way. My girlfriend and her husband did the walkthrough for us and any problems were addressed accordingly. We finally arrived after being delayed with the storm Idalia. We were so happy to finally be here in this beautiful house and community. Yes we had some tweaks to iron out but if you go through the proper channels and call or email the information provided everything will be fixed or addressed. We have in the past literally built our own home bought homes already built and lived in used homes. In my opinion you always will have something to address. Lennar certainly does have mostly that I have heard of minor issues to fix amongst my community. I also have complete faith that Lennar will put in our promised pool that has been in the works for some time. Hopefully sooner than later! So if this happens in a reasonable timeframe I would say that you cannot go wrong purchasing a Lennar home. ... More

Love the area and the representatives were friendly. Biggest issue we had was that even though we were purchasing at the frame stage NOTHING could be changed. Cabinet colors, electrical outlets and structured internet cabling could not be changed or added... even when we agreed to pay additional fees. A little flexibility would have gone a long way to getting this closer to a five star review.

The picture presented on the webpages is nothing, like my house looks like. I feel like I was totally railroaded. All the videos of what I was showing that I would receive, I did not. From the outside to the in. it is nothing like I was shown. When I try to contact somebody for help, it takes days and talking to 20 different people in order to get some thing done. It has been an absolute nightmare. I would never refer any of them to anyone who is in the market for a house.

The purchasing process was very fast and effective. Great attention to customers and their concerns. Spacious houses but with many finishing details that need improvement.

This has been a heck of a ride. The Lennar salesperson is great to deal with. Very charismatic and attentive. Unfortunately, as the salesperson, his work doesn't continue up to actual ownership and that is where the problem with Lennar lies. I highly suggest that if you buy from Lennar to get your own third-party inspector involved in the building process as soon as possible. There will be issues, trust me. Many of those will have already been singled out by the time if their New Home Orientation, where they promise that everything identified then will be fixed by the closing date. That didn't happen. It's been over a month, and there are still outstanding issues. The most frustrating one is how we informed that there were issues with the sod during this New Home Orientation process and the Lennar Warranty rep assured us it would just settle in and be fine, and that the sod would not be covered by warranty. But it was improperly installed, and that was identified before closing! So now I have to deal with dead grass, HoA citations because of it, and even though Lennar had been informed about it before we closed, they refuse to fix their improper sod work. We also have a grading issue that's been reported for a few weeks now. They insist that the construction manager will be in contact with us to assess it and fix it. No contact from him. We had a pretty attentive construction manager before closing, but they swapped him out after we moved in and the new one is non-existent. A whole bunch of things that should have been done in the period between the New Home Orientation weren't done. We're still waiting for a CO2 detector that they never installed. An unpainted wall that was identified during NHO took them about a month to get to, I'm still waiting for them to send their external painters to handle walls that were not properly covered outdoors. Their builders continue to build houses close by and they carelessly move their equipment around, which caused them to punch a hole in the curb on my house and Lennar refuses to do anything about it. This isn't even going into all the small defects such as broken cabinets, gaps in the walls, nails sticking out from the kitchen island, the incorrectly installed washing machine. Seriously, it seems like Lennar hires builders and contractors that are doing this for the first time in their lives and their warranty department will do everything in their power not to help. Do they punish them for every issue that they actually help to fix? Anyway, be very wary of buying from Lennar. We don't recommend them. ... More
