Lennar Homes are a great value for the price however be sure to get everything corrected prior to closing. Matt at closing is great but be firm and cordial with your request to fix whatever the issue maybe with the home prior to heading to your closing in B’ham, AL. I was truly amazed at how simple the home purchase was with Lennar. I love my new home just wish that I had a bit more yard space in the backyard. The homes are way too close together.

After walk thru and sign off, part of driveway was removed and replaced, cement was very dark gray, was told it would lighten as it cured, 2 months later, lightened a little but looks terrible, also at walk walk thru noticed a lot of ants, it got worse every day, purchased a lot of products, and contracted pest control company , reported to Lennar several times, asked for assistance for a few weeks while unoccupied, I was brushed off, now after a few months noticing a lot of little issues, stains and paint on carpet and tiles, windows dirty, etc etc, just not move in ready in my opinion.

Overall experience was fine with little lack of clarity on rates at the final end of signing.

To improve it would be nice to offer an upgrade in paint. What was used is cheap and feels like sand paper. Already have the whole down stairs re-painted. None of the light switches match up and we had to install a lot of lights which was shocking. We have many light switches that operate nothing that we can tell. No ceiling fans at all. Would also have been nice to add blinds or at least have the option to pay for them in the house purchase. Another expense to get this completed.

Here is the 2 problems : 1. Awful backyard. No normal level of ground from house to backyard. Moisture are always here. No special adhesive material under the mulch . That’s why all neighbors have a lot of white fungus into the mulch and a lot of insects which grows from the organic wet and fungus material because of no material was laid on the ground. Now we have a lot of problems with flies and fungus. So now we need to get rid of all mulch and rebuild a normal level of ground. 2. Awful cabinets qualify. The material is like a paper. Very fragile and sensitive. I think in 1 year the condition of kitchen cabinets will be very poor. 3. Impossible to use the doors with any rags because the doors are too low. ... More

I just wanted to say that Jessica our New home consultant was great. She was very responsive, knowledgeable, professional and proactive. We absolutely love how she handled our process.. Jessica is the reason why we are in our home today, kind and on top of her game. Now other the other Christina the loan officer was horrible, she stop responding, would say she’d call us back or follow up but never did. She made buying a home beyond stressful, if you ever see her as your loan officer run .

Poor responses from sales team. Support team was great, issues got resolved swiftly Disappointed that solar activation takes too long, and receive no status update at all. No one to reach for help

Make sure you pay attention when doing your blue tape walk. They were supposed to fix some things in my house with tape on them and never did. Just pulled the tape off and never fixed. So go through the entire house again to make sure they are fixed before you close

Craftsmanship is definitely rushed. But to be expected in cookie cutter homes. Some corners were cut on some details but for the most part happy. Not thrilled when Lennar sold my mortgage they didn't inform me of this. I had to do some investigating myself.

Natasha was our sales rep. Very informative. Lily in finance bent over backwards to make everything come together. Customer service on workmanship repairs has not been satisfactory.

The house is not insulated well and the furnace constantly runs to keep the place at 68 degrees. Cold air is coming in from so many areas.

Well I felt in love with it since it was ash I felt rushveen that I still have to finish some budines in the other state I did not enjoy the walk to check tgat house n issues that had arise but I guess is my fault since I did not share my timing was very tight n the worst was that the registration of the ac I did not know I had to register not only one but 3 n beside the one outside I have to clim myself into the attic tgat but the way is dangerous ly build I don’t know how if there is a need to fixi it how the person is going to rusk falls down but any way I made it n send the info too late for 19 year warrant I wish the builders should have done this specially for a single senior woman the seller was very knowable n kind but a little push after all she needs to sale I wish I can give more feedback but I have not spend that mis ch time at the house yet n hopeful I don’t find any problems when the time cames thank u ... Once you close, your team (builder)do not respond to issues arising since moving in. You will be on your own. This is very bad business.

Cheap materials. Difficult to register LG appliances online. Electrical company doesn't know the address of our house. Had difficulty opening account.

The quality of the build is about what you would expect to find with any builder, meaning generally good construction, but like any construction there a few areas that are out of square.

Lily from Lennar Mortgage was absolutely wonderful. Jacob was also amazing. Unfortunately everyone else we dealt with made us feel rushed or unimportant. We love the house, which made up for our encounter or lack thereof. The home buying process was relatively smooth with a few to no issues.

When I met Kenneth for the final walk through he was amazing, very helpful. We even offered to help unload my moving truck if I needed help and gave me his personal number. After that absolutely no contact! I have texts from Oct 15 till today that he still can’t reply or call back. I needed some questions answered and he was nowhere to be found. It’s a beautiful home and everything put he does paint a pretty picture for you, after that you can forget about any help. You’re on your own trying to figure things out. Thank God for nice neighbors, I had to ask them for help.

First, the master bath counter was cracked. They came out to replace it but then they caused a leak under the sink. They came out again, and it was still leaking. Had to ask my plumbing friend to repair. Then they never explain that the water heater needs to be in a different mode during the wintertime. We took a cold shower because there wasn't enough hot water. We came back from our overseas vacation and the kids had a cough and cold but the heater didn't work. This is the time we are turning on the heater. We requested service and they didn't come out until the next day They couldn't figure out the issue and said we may need a new unit. In the meantime, we are using portable heaters and they draw too much electricity that it kept shutting off the circuit breaker. They have not given us an update on our unit. It is freezing in the house. So far I have lost trust in Villara heating and plumbing. During the walk-through thru they did not turn on the HVAC unit to test both heat and air conditioning. ... The reason we chose Lennar is the next gen home plan.There was a frequent turnover of who is responsible and what papers are needed that could make you give up. I feel that we have a new person every time we call, one would say we need this the other would say we don’t. My 1st home when I bought it was brand new,it was solid built, craftsmanship is good.floors were easy to clean. Our new house feels sloppy. It was not built with care.craftmanship is poor- lines on the wall crooked as well as cabinets,airvents facing the wall. Floors are are to clean.my laundry room is too small putting a stackable washer/dryer is hard,with circuit breaker shutting off. Home buyers work hard to have a home that is ready,welcoming especially with this price, you expect a little more- even a soap holder in the bathroom would be appreciated. ... More

From the pouring of the foundation to the framing of the walls to the walls being put in I was here. I was constantly asking for the walk-in shower that I needed and never got. It was a need. Necessary for my wellbeing.You were more concerned about the quota than the welfare of someone health.

This was my first time going through this process. I worried about everything, was skeptical, I questioned everything about providing so much information and I was stressed. The Lennar representative guided me through all of the paperwork, which was a lot and Lennar dropped the price, which was a BLESSING! The lender representative made me feel better about the process. She was patient and answered my questions, reassuring me that the process is normal and not to worry. I received encouraging texts from my realtor, which also helped. My realtor was present at the final stage, “the signing”. One thing that bothered me was the large down payment I had to come up with. I was expecting some assistance as a first time homebuyer, but was told my interest rate would increase and I would need to raise my credit score. I wasn’t not prepared for that; but God made a way out of no way! As a first timer, I was not aware of so much such as Lennar did not give an option to choose the color of the house or flooring, they use “cheap feeling” door knobs, toilet paper holder, doors and screen doors. Shower rods, towel racks, window coverings were not provided; but I’m guessing that is so I can personalize my home. I was told they would include a washer and dryer but I’m not sure if I’m paying for it or was it really an extra incentive. After I moved in I received congratulatory texts and emails from EVERYONE involved in my experience! I’m getting settled in and learning to deal with the imperfections. Overall, I am happy (even though it may not sound like it) in my Lennar home. It’s not bad for my first house! ... More

The house was not completed on the date it was first offered. Other houses next to us were started after ours and completed before ours while ours stood vacant without any workers for days. The quality of numerous items is subpar. The paint is very low quality and the attention to detail is very low. Not the quality of a professional painter. We moved in only to find the plumbing blocked up by the cleaning crews cloths. Had to have a plumber come and unplug the entire plumbing system after it backed up and no one responded until the next day! Seems that these houses are put together as quickly as possible without the use of quality professionals but the use of low cost low ability immigrants. Several of the appliances had to be secured further after we moved in as they were not completely installed before closing. These houses will be nice but it will take the fixing of numerous items. For the price we pay I feel these items all should be done and done with quality professionals not cheap laborers. ... More

While in general the home construction quality is satisfactory, there a few items which could be attended to. 1. Better shower heads in both bathrooms 2. Master Bathroom size could be increased by making the "walk-in" closet a bit smaller. 3. Screen doors at front and rear could be an added cost option. 4. Also, buyers should have option for hard flooring in place of carpeting in some rooms, with added cost. 5. Lack of door bell is annoying

Samantha really provided great Support in getting Mortgage. Whenever i had any question or clariifcation, she is really a go to Person, She always picks the phone and responds promptly.
