I had an overall good experience purchasing a Lennar home. Lennar has great people serving the company, including the sales agent, my loan officer, the construction manager and customer service rep., who were all excellent in their roles to support my purchase. However, I was personally challenged with a number of problems that showed right after signing the contract and moving in, which can happen. There is a warranty process in place meant to aid the new home buyer, which I did not find smooth and reponds with greatly reduced urgency. While some things were taken care of promptly, others were not, particularly when it came to appliances. I inherited a bad dishwasher. There were considerable delays to get that in working order and, frankly, when you purchase a new home, one expects new appliances in good working order. Lennar is a good company, offering offering attractive and decently made homes. The company has excellent staff and can do even better by improving the support and warranty process if and when problems arise, especially within the first weeks and months of home ownership. ... The team of Melinda, Bobby, Josh and Randy did a fantastic job at making the entire process exciting and beautiful.

The overall process was relatively smooth and pleasant. The sales team was very responsive and answered questions quickly, and once the closing was set, things moved very efficiently. Very disappointed in the lack of attention to detail and overall shoddy work in the finish of the home. All of the touch up was very poorly done. Globs of touch up left on door frames without being smoothed/sanded. When the house was shown on the "new home orientation," it was not very presentable. The cleaners did next to nothing to clean. There was paint on the floors that weren't cleaned up, nails left in the deck, and numerous other items that had to be pointed out. It's disappointing that all of the work seems rushed, and on top of that, there are supervisors and people around who should be checking this but seem to take no time to walk through themselves and get it corrected. The overall “buying experience” was quick and easy, but the problems began as we neared our closing date. We purchased our home remotely, so we did not have the luxury of being on-site during the construction process. As the closing date neared, we soon realized the finish quality was extremely poor (after flying down for our walk-thru). It was clear the trim was installed before the tile floors, so it left 1/4” gaps in some places. The mitre cuts looked as if they were made by a “do-it-yourselfer”. And everything was resolved “the Lennar way” with tubes and tubes of white caulking. The outside pavers were poorly installed, and interior closets were framed wrong. After agreeing to postpone our closing, many of the issues were left unresolved. We eventually closed, but only because we were told it all met “Lennar’s Quality.” It has been about 6-weeks since we closed, and we’re now dealing with the warranty team. I give the highest regards to this team, as they are going out of their way to make things right. Kudos to Lennar’s commitment to satisfaction through their home-warranty care, but in the end many of these problems should have been resolved prior to closing. We are now wasting “our time” reporting issues, waiting for contractors to do inspections, and having to be home when all of this work is being done. In the end, we would definitely buy from Lennar again. Their overall value is good, and their commitment to making things right (via the warranty) have eased many of our concerns. I would encourage anyone buying remotely to stay on top of the building process, as we trusted our construction manger to handle this part for us. Never again! ... More

Poor workmanship in some areas. Very slow responding to issues

We love the community and area. We purchased at the beginning of the community opening and decided to purchase a larger home in the same community. We like many of the extras included in the sale, having the appliances and blinds included are a nice plus.

Relatively easy buying experience. Made even easier by working with only Lennar for the home and initial mortgage. They were extremely patient with my misunderstandings of what they wanted for the mortgage. The windows do not provide as much noise reduction as I thought they would. Love some of the appliances. With time I may change to accommodate my personal preferences. But there is nothing wrong with any of them thus far.

Purchased house jun 30 2023 I wish to share my experience and service work along with suggestions: after you do a final walk through for items requiring fixing please confirm completion prior to moving -look at outside garage door dents, air conditioner dents too! We forwarded additional list once moved in : 2 kitchen doors cracked, coming apart at the corner & sink scratched, carpet nails showing at entrance of rooms, carpet didn’t meet warped baseboard, garbage disposal-no guard ( workman left it at the door for me to install. ) I used side gate, noticed air conditioner grid had a dent contacted worker, he said it was probably the mowers that did it on the final mow -worker said he would replace it. Front lawn underground sprinkler hoses showing worker stated he would come bury them Received text worker coming next day - no show I ended up purchasing dirt, burying them. Smoke detector keeps going off , no response from worker. Plus my ring shows my neighbors front door still working on that as I’m needing to call ring. I asked for an update on pending repairs last Monday and still no response! I wish Lenner would take pride into their repairs and houses. Thank you and good luck ... More

Overall very good experience for me

We are new with Lennar and are thankful to finally have our family home. Took about 3 inspection dates to finally get our house approved. But once it was approved we were not told until our power went out. Since lennar was paying our electricity until the house was finished. We appreciate all that you do but would’ve liked a call once everything was finalized. So we would not have a surprise power outage. When we moved here we did not get a key for our garage door so we asked about getting a new key or a lock that matches our keys. We were told it’d be here in a few days. Well it’s been about a month and no word. Some issues with paint jobs on the walls or poor spackling jobs sealing the floors or underneath the toilets. There was spackle footprints all over the master bathroom. Our move in date some parts of the floor were already pealing or cut up. There’s a pipe sticking out of the ground in our front yard causing a tripping hazard. The driveway and walkway has splats of concrete everywhere making it look not smooth at all. Some parts of the house just look a little rushed. My only request for improvement is keeping the clients informed on any updates or changes. We pay to have a fresh new home and I understand everyone is busy and trying to get stuff done. But would you be happy with these issues to a home you just moved into? From start to finish I was kept updated on details and always knew what to expect. Mark was great. Roberto our realtor was also great working in conjunction with Mark at Lennar. The punch list items are completed, some issues I had to keep reminding them about but overall they took care of me.

Found a house almost ready to move in. Able to finalize and close in two weeks.

I purchased the Trevi Moldel a single family home for investment. Four bedrooms 3 full bath with pool spa and lake view. It was rented by the time I closed on it. Great value for the money. The sales person Jordan was great. The mortgage company very easy to deal with. The superintendent was very nice got the punch list done within a few days.

After a year and a half in real estate limbo, I found Horizon! From contract to closing was a hectic month, but was smoothly orchestrated by the Lennar team. Most appreciative for al who had a part in ths journey!

We have purchased several homes in the past, and this by far has been our worst experience. First, we had many difficulties with the builders in order to get the issues fixed correctly in the home before the signing date. The representative who was assigned to us and who suppose to be handling these issues, made us feel like we were in the wrong for bringing them to his attention, and he tried to pursued us that these issues were not valid. We had to go over his head a couple of times in order to resolve them. Very disappointed in the customer service. As far as the actual closing, we had to do a lot of the leg work ourselves in order to get the closing completed. We literally had to go to Lennar's attorney's office twice because they were not returning our calls, which was within just a few days of closing. If we did not made these trips ourselves, our closing would have fallen to the next business week, which would have cost us a substantial amount of money and caused several other issues. This was extremely stressful and unnecessary. We will never buy from Lennar again, and urge people to do their homework before choosing a builder. The home buying process was easy and quick. Happy customer of a new build!

Kara and Peggy in the sales office are BEYOND responsive and kind! They updated me every step of the way and demonstrated keen responsiveness to all my questions and were flexible and patient. Construction manager Mike also very amicable! Business office that dealt with the loan portion was a headache but all in all I got where I needed to be and LOVE my new home so far!

This being my first home buying experience I can say Lennar didn’t make it easygoing like promised. They are quick to contact me when they need money, but slow to get back to me about my questions. Slow or never at all. I will never buy from Lennar again. Nobody was ever on the same page and we were being lied to about things. Plus, we’ve been in the house for two months and already having problems. I wouldn’t even recommend Lennar to my worst enemy.

It has been a great experience with everything included and we don't need to set up anything by ourselves after we moved in. But there are a lot of minor finishing touch issues that I see. There are lot of minor spots on the floor due to paint spilling and there are gaps between power outlets cover and wall. I think some attention should have been given to the final finishing touches.

Consider the all inclusive Designer Select package. If those options were to be added later, the cost would be considerably higher.
