Love my new home! Absolutely adore it. I have not had the greatest experience with the salesman after I had signed the day of and put my deposit down. The QA guys were great. But they did say that my house would be cleaned before i moved in and sadly it was dirtier than it was the last time i saw it before it was officially mine. Found footprints and fast food napkins in a bedroom. The attic was left open with the light on. I have tried contacting my salesman (since he is the closest) about a few things and received nothing in return. One warranty guy was helpful on the AC problem I had (my home sat on the market for a bit and so throughout inspections and such the Freon went low, i get it, no biggie) but i had a problem with the dishwasher leaking and he said nope we can’t help with that that’s a GE problem, but come to find out it was due to the way it was setting in the spot and it was a simple fix. Other than that, it is a beautiful home and very energy efficient. I’m very happy with my purchase. To note: the financial side was little better but a few people did not answer back as quickly as they expected me to. I had to follow up a few times before i got an answer. Plus closing was incredibly easy, but when i had questions about closing i had to ask family because i didn’t get answers from the company on either side, sales or financial. ... More

The buying experience was terrible and the house has already had to get the air conditioner unit replaced. The air is CONSTANTLY messing up. The tile in the shower looks like it’s been done by someone who didn’t know what they were doing. Never again.

Lennar rushed me into a home that wasn’t ready to be moved into. Everyday I see more and more things that should’ve been completed before I moved in. luckily I still have a year left to get things corrected, but it should’ve been ready to go before I closed. I’ll know not to purchase with Lennar again in the future

Worst buying process in town, from begining to end of the process

The houses were put up too fast and there was a lot of mistakes that lennar made in our house . I had a wonderful project manager that was on top of getting most of them done to this point. Some others were not as lucky as we were with our project manager .

Get a home inspection !!! There were some issues for sure. House was delivered with blue tape on walls, unfinished work… These houses are slammed together as fast as possible. Very rough around the edges and lots of corners cut. The sales team made statements that were not true and very quickly the “plans changed”. The appeal is the price for a new home vs what the market is for an older home. It’s a tough economy so buying a new home is very appealing. New != quality, so take that with a grain of salt. This review is meant to be a level-headed review for future potential buyers. I will say that the sales staff is amazing and very attentative! I have no issues with the sales team at all. My issue is based on the craftsmanship and the warranty department. CRAFTSMANSHIP: Okay so the structural is good and solid. They use 2x6 boards and did a good job. The issue lies within the finishing touches. Crappy concrete job done right before rain so it is very rough. Bad concrete cuts and major cracks already showing. The boards all around the house had Knicks and poor cuts. The inside of the home has bad cut outs for all sorts of stuff and looks like they just didn't care. Bangs and cracks in the doors, failure to paint items, bad cutouts and just a general feeling that they rushed everything and didn't care. If you buy, CHECK EVERYTHING. Do your walk through for as long as you need. They will pressure you to be done. Don't, take your time and find everything can before you have to deal with warranty. WARRANTY: Okay now the really bad news. Lennars warranty is nothing short of a joke. The representative for Johnstown farms couldn't be more useless. She will not be helpful and have an excuse for everything. BE WARNED. She is not there to help you. I can't believe Lennar wants to put their name on this and has such terrible warranty service. Also, get an independent inspector to help you identify issues. This will help your case when you inevitably have to deal with her. FINAL THOUGHTS: I will say structural is good, sales is great, but I will probably never buy another Lennar home. The warranty service mixed with the bad final craftsmanship is just not the home buying experience you're looking for when spending near half a million $ on a home. Look elsewhere. ... More

The entire process of buying my house with Lennar was outstanding from start to finish. The quality and value of the house cannot be better. The Lennar Team did a great job since I started filling out my application until closing. They always responded immediately. After the closing, any request for maintenance/repairs were addressed immediately. I highly recommend Lennar to any person wanted to buy a property. You’ll not be disappointed.

Every Lennar Team member that I dealt with doing my home buying experience was very professional and pleasant to work with. If I had any questions along the process they were there to answer them for me. They tried to make my buying experience as seamless as possible. Great team to work with. If you go everything lennar (mortgage,title,etc) its fast since you are only dealing with one company. But, that limits your options. Main issue, they don’t install the sod/grass until you buy the house. So end up doing the work on maintaining the initial install. watering twice daily for 2 weeks and if you miss it then you have terrible lawn. Its a learning curve for first time homeowners without lawn care experience. Specially if you haven’t move in yet, They install sod without telling you so you miss the watering days and end up with dead sod

Unfortunately I'm a furniture maker so workmanship and overall quality are very visible to me. Here's what I got for $800K: No handles on cabinetry, flat paint or primer used only, No soft close hinges or drawer guides, one hose bib and a front yard that was supposedly "carefully" designed and looks cheap as heck. Amazing that I'm looking for painters to redo the interior.

My bad experience was with Lennar Mortgage. With proof of employment, excellent credit and a generous down payment, they were not able to past the fact that my employer would not provide proof of remote employment. It was so frustrating that I paid cash for the house just not to have to deal with them. As far as the workmanship - overall, the house is fine but there are a list of issues where they just got lazy and did not check their own work.

The loan process was easy and straight forward. We were informed on next steps. Loan officer always ready to answer our questions and nice. It was a great experience

Moving to South Carolina from Florida was a big step for me and my family. Finding a new home became the spot lights for us. Lennar homes made our pick really easy. We have 3 kids and finding a home with well spaced rooms, open living rooms spaces and storage spaces are critical. The Lennar team also made it easy along the way, everyone was very helpful and provided key insights and suggestions along the way. Over all this was a great experience!

Overall we had a great experience. Lennar’s new home rep was very responsive to all our questions. We would recommend buying from Lennar.

Overall just OK in our opinion. SO MANY layers of people involved in this purchase. We never knew who was doing what or when. Not sure Lennar did either for that matter. Still have things to complete that were told would be done. It appears that they are in a big hurry to get out of this development and on to the next, so we’re getting short changed. Hope that isn’t the case!

As a 1st time homebuyer we were so intimidated to purchase a home. Had we known how easy the journey was, and how great our agents and Lenders were going to be that work for Lennar, we would had started this journey a long time ago! I highly recommend anyone looking to purchase your 1st time home or even if it’s not your 1st home, to buy from Lennar. The Warranty process gives our family such a peace of mind that we can live comfortably in our home.

My experience went very smoothly from purchasing a home and the mortgage process

The front end of the buying experience was great. I appreciated the professionalism and prompt assistance we received from Patrick Sleeper and Dennise Vigil. We received a rushed orientation where we were told we could mark up what we saw that needed to be addressed. For a house our size, we had a quick one-hour orientation, because another one was scheduled right after ours that one couldn't be late for. We rushed through each room with barely enough time to mark the areas that needed attention. I addressed an area of concern and was told, "I wasn't getting a custom home!" he proceeded to make excuses for the imperfections and proceeded to talk about me when I walked away. Come move-in day, we get the house as is and what was marked up was to be completed by service at a later date. Our tape marks were simply removed and only a few things were fixed before they moved on to the next home. I never imagined moving into my first new-built home and being as dissatisfying as I was. Come closing day, my home was not move-in ready, and countertops, floors, cabinets, stairs, everything was covered in dust. The house was vacuumed but vacuum marks aren't enough when you can't move in immediately because you have to do a thorough cleaning beforehand. Our lights were left on in the home, we had trash in our front yard, our shower rod in one of our bathrooms was not hung, our carpet was lifting on the stairs due to the nails not being pounded down, areas of the floor were incomplete as the tile was not placed all the way to the wall, our baseboards are wavy and the drywall is wavy. We hired painters who we're having to pay more because they have to fix what the Lennar painters didn't do right the first time. Our painter pulled a vent off to paint the wall only to find someone's lunch trash. A can of Coke and a Wendy's wrapper were left right inside the vent for us to throw away. Lastly, we had urine and other evidence in 4 out of our 5 toilets from contractors using our bathrooms and not cleaning up after themselves when we were told it was cleaned. There was no soap or paper towels in the home so hands weren't being washed while the filth was spread throughout the house. The model and layout of the home are great. I would love to give Lennar 5 stars but my experience over several months with “one bad apple” sales agent Monica left Such a bad taste. I hope that if you chose to Buy Lennar you have a better sales experience because once you get to work with builder Justin and Tom they give you a 5 star experience. Quality should be their last names.
