Horrible, unorganized, RUDE, sloppy, poor craftmenshio

Sub work was poor for painting and finishing. Our saving grace was Alan. He cleaned up the issues for us. Lennar title was difficult to work with. Would go with a back on the loan.

Started off with a leak before closing and it’s been 2 months after we closed and it’s still not fully rectified. It takes numerous follow ups on our part to get anything moving. The warranty team has been the only competent people during this process and I do thank Stephanie and Shaun. Neighbors next door smoke detector goes off at least once a week for hours showcasing the material in the homes isn’t great quality. HOA is impossible to get ahold of and annoyed when you do reach out with questions. Homes seem rushed and once it’s thrown together it’s pretty obvious the areas they just completely missed or completed incorrectly. ... More

Relo from NY- did the purchase out of state and it was incredibly successfully swiftly accomplished. Lennar is absolutely great to work with - from sales to project manager to warranty! Exceeded my expectations- and continue to be present and available 24/7 for my needs.

I feel that for the price, we should have had some say into what was going into our house and our landscaping. Our model should have had a patio. We should have had a say into what was planted in our yards, so it doesn't look like all other yards. We have had issues getting things fixed. The sales and loan staff were great, but once we moved in, it seems that the construction staff ignore you. The "fixes" seem to make the issue worse and are not finished.

All of the Lennar frontline staff, especially the new home consultant, Carlo, loan officer, Ilyssa, insurance agent, Maribelle, and especially the construction manager, Lacey, have allowed us to be at east throughout the process of buying and moving into our new home. The combination of their professionalism and hospitality helped us greatly enjoy our new home experience.

So much problems with the house.

Well, for what I paid, the quality of materials and attention to detail is pretty mediocre. Things are crooked, painting is incomplete, the seams of the drywall where were they taped is coming through, there was little thought given when it comes to the practicality of the design, specifically in the master bathroom but in other areas of the home as well. Yes, I can send in requests for the first year to fix some of the issues but some of them aren't worth the headache, so I'll deal with it. I realize I am being petty on some of this, but for 2 million dollars, I had higher expectations. No one takes pride in their work anymore. There are over 20 items on our repair list that have been there since before we moved in. The painter says it’s the cabinet contractor issue. The cabinet contractor says it’s the painters issue. The painters say that the splashes all over our pavers are not their color. We have not painted anything since we moved in! The carpenter keeps saying they are coming, but never show. I get phone calls saying that they were at the house and no one answered the door, but we have ring doorbell camera and no one ever rang the door! Service is horrible. We have been here almost two months and VERY little has been accomplished. We get notice that someone will show up, and they don’t. I will be happy to copy you on all the texts. This is inexcusable and I won’t recommend buying a new home from Lennar. ... More

We initially looked at quite a few new houses by at least 5 different builders. After considering all the factors important to us, the top 2 communities were both by Lennar. The process of buying working with Sophie was very smooth. She is very professional, attends to details and always quick in responding to our questions. We are also very pleased with Carlos, who did the walk through with us and till this day is still very attentive to our needs. We love our new Lennar home.

Loan officer was unresponsive, unhelpful, and didn't seem to know his job very well. After sell, he wouldn't respond anymore. Post settlement, my loan was immediately sold off, even though I paid it off in 3 weeks, it's taken me over a month to get it finalized, and still working on closing it out. Calling the mortgage number will guarantee you a 30-45min wait time every time. Other issues: House shown had more features than house purchased, master shower didn't even have a door in purchased home. Lennar recommended me to the contractor they used to do the rest of the homes in the neighborhood. Cost me $620 (even though I paid over $3k in "upgrades"), and contractor told us it was even a surprise to them, since they had about 50 extra doors that they purchased to do our house and the rest in our area. Warranty person doesn't answer texts after the purchase of home. pros: Building manager has been responsive, as well as the realtor we had on the Lennar side has been very helpful, even post settlement. ... Sales experience was good, closing experience was rigid and uncollaborative, building supervisors were good but I was told on at least 4 occasions that pre-closing issues were done when they were not (3 issues are still not done 2 months after closing), and warranty issues are taking months to complete.

Homebuying experience with a Lennar was good. Professional agents assisting throughout the whole process. I highly recommend Lennar.

We have no cable like we were promised they never ran wires in the wall. They were not truthful to us one showing us through the house . Wi-Fi is very weak. Hard to speak on your cell phone because of that problem that they refuse to address.

My wife and me are entering our 2nd month of ownership and I can only give 3 stars for overall satisfaction. I feel the title I've given this post is correct. First, Lennar's advertising for their homes is very misleading. The Web Site claims you get everything you need at move-in You Do Not. Not to give anything away but I paid over $270 thousand for our home and It Did Not even come with towel racks in the bathrooms nor did it come with lighting over the vanities. You would think for that price these small amenities would be standard. They are not. This alone should give you ,the potential buyer, what you are in for with a Lennar home. This home is my 8th home I've purchased in my life, in every case the home I bought had a refrigerator and microwave, this Lennar home Did Not. Profit over Quality should be the Lennar motto. TJ and Joey were outstanding in addressing any issues we had and handled them promptly. Mark in the office has disappeared and can't get a return call or text. Just need to know what my exterior paint color is. Very unprofessional.

Lennar has affordable homes but terrible customer experience. I had the run around with the lender from day one (even lasted after I closed). If you are a person doing this without an experienced realtor, I beg you to reconsider. Your realtor won’t get the full 3% but they will help you navigate the many issues you’ll run into with Lennar’s in house lender. I wanted to go with a different lender but the deals offered by Lennar were better. The quality of my home seems to be fine. And the deal was amazing but I have spent so much money to buy necessities that should have been included. If you’re buying in houston, negotiate gutters and an irrigation system. They’re terribly expensive but needed. My first home, built in Chicago, was a different process and actually really a great experience. I’m not sure why I had such a problem this time. Quality of the home is great. Open floor plan with tons of windows for natural light. The high quality countertops and floorplan design is ideal for any new home buyer.

The entire process was a breeze, the builder kept me honest of all the stages of home construction. And the customer service is very prompt. High recommended.

Great house terrible customer service. Tammy wouldn't talk to us regarding our closing cost. Dishwasher had to be replaced, the fridge hasn't worked for a month and the microwave had to have the fan replaced. I battle geese leaving waste on my driveway and yard. This is a huge health hazard. Like I said love the house but now have to live in conditions that I didn't ask for and not getting help with. There were 75 geese that were counted in my yard over the last weekend. Please help me enjoy my new house. My neighbor has an infant that she has to stroll through ALOT of droppings just to take her child for a walk. ... More

Melanie was amazing to work with to help chose out the options for our house. With her experience, she guides us with our questions to make sure we chose the right options for our dream house. Jason was great to work with during the construction phase. When we had a question or concern, he quickly was able to answer and help us. We love our dream house and we love our build experience with Melanie and Jason!

The home buying with Lennar was terrible!! Delay after delay with construction and the sales person trying to put a positive spin on poor management practices. Run away from Lennar builders!!!!! Tom

At times, the process seemed troublesome and concerning. This was mostly due to the difficult time we had communicating with our builder. Lennar could do more to better educate customers about the process to alleviate frustrations. I will say that the promises that Lennar made have been kept and they delivered a beautiful home. We were very fortunate to have a great salesman that helped with the communication concerns and offered very good advice when we were stressed. We also found the majority of Lennar construction managers very helpful and willing to offer advice. I do recommend Lennar and would advise anyone considering a new build to pack your patience and ask lots of questions during the process. Be sure to get a commitment from your salesman to be your advocate during the process or find a salesman that will. This is especially true if you are not located close enough to monitor progress. My experience has been overall positive and I’m happy with my home. I’ve had other builder experiences with past homes and Lennar has been above those. They strive to ensure you’re happy and I was impressed with my closing to an extent. They made some minor adjustments day of closing to my cabinet that was too low for my fridge. Several jobs were not completed in which I was promised completion after closing for which no one came back. For the most part, I’m satisfied with my purchase and going with Lennar as I’ve found the craftsmanship for my neighborhood was above others in the area. I purchased in Carnes Crossroads in Summerville, SC and the neighborhood stands out as one of the top locations for the area. My realtor did a great job helping me keep the contractor on schedule and ensuring most items were completed prior to closing. My recommendation would be not to fall to the peer pressure of closing with items left to do. They will drop you like a bad habit once you close so be ready for that. ... More
