Not a great experience

THIS IS MY THIRD CONDO AT BABCOCK NATIONAL. I SHOULD HAVE LEARNED FROM THE FIRST CONDO EXPERIENCE NOT TO PURCHASE A SECOND ONE. MY THOUGHT WAS TO GIVE LENNAR A SECOND CHANCE WHICH I DID. THE EXPERIENCE WAS A LITTLE BETTER BUT STILL DISMAL. THE THIRD IS BACK TO THE FIRST, VERY BAD, THE WORKMANSHIP IS TERRIBLE AND THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGERS ARE TOO BUSY PUSHING OUT NEW PRODUCT RATHER THAN TAKING CARE OF THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALREADY CLOSED ON THEIR UNITS. NO MORE LENNAR FOR ME.

Terrible overall experience. The salesman, salesman’s supervisor, concierge, Construction Foreman all were horrible. The lack of follow through and returning calls was unacceptable. The title company returned half of my calls until I closed then stopped returning my calls. Ken, who did the warranty walk through and sign off was great. I’m a seasoned investor and not a first time home buyer which is what they are used to dealing with. They prey on the ignorance of the buyer and don’t put the buyer first.

We did everything remotely after picking out the style of home and lot we liked. The team at Lennar was always relaying messages and weekly videos of our new home. They made it seem like they were there the entire time!

Arthur our sales person from the beginning of the sales process up through closing was always there to answer any questions and work on our behalf as needed. Post closing we have been quite happy and pleased with the virtual customer service calls established to handle any service requests for minor interior and a couple exterior repairs/replacements.

I purchased my home after visiting a girlfriend back in May. My husband and I had the pleasure of our sales representative Neil H. to enlighten us on all the qualities and benefits of owning a Lennar home. It was not until the end of June that I called Neil and told him we wanted to buy a home here at Liberty Village. Living our entire lives outside of Boston I was a little nervous taking the plunge to move although my husband was 100% ready to move. Neil literally checked in consistently with me taking photos and videos of the house being built every stage of the way. My girlfriend and her husband did the walkthrough for us and any problems were addressed accordingly. We finally arrived after being delayed with the storm Idalia. We were so happy to finally be here in this beautiful house and community. Yes we had some tweaks to iron out but if you go through the proper channels and call or email the information provided everything will be fixed or addressed. We have in the past literally built our own home bought homes already built and lived in used homes. In my opinion you always will have something to address. Lennar certainly does have mostly that I have heard of minor issues to fix amongst my community. I also have complete faith that Lennar will put in our promised pool that has been in the works for some time. Hopefully sooner than later! So if this happens in a reasonable timeframe I would say that you cannot go wrong purchasing a Lennar home. ... More

Love the area and the representatives were friendly. Biggest issue we had was that even though we were purchasing at the frame stage NOTHING could be changed. Cabinet colors, electrical outlets and structured internet cabling could not be changed or added... even when we agreed to pay additional fees. A little flexibility would have gone a long way to getting this closer to a five star review.

The picture presented on the webpages is nothing, like my house looks like. I feel like I was totally railroaded. All the videos of what I was showing that I would receive, I did not. From the outside to the in. it is nothing like I was shown. When I try to contact somebody for help, it takes days and talking to 20 different people in order to get some thing done. It has been an absolute nightmare. I would never refer any of them to anyone who is in the market for a house.

The purchasing process was very fast and effective. Great attention to customers and their concerns. Spacious houses but with many finishing details that need improvement.

This has been a heck of a ride. The Lennar salesperson is great to deal with. Very charismatic and attentive. Unfortunately, as the salesperson, his work doesn't continue up to actual ownership and that is where the problem with Lennar lies. I highly suggest that if you buy from Lennar to get your own third-party inspector involved in the building process as soon as possible. There will be issues, trust me. Many of those will have already been singled out by the time if their New Home Orientation, where they promise that everything identified then will be fixed by the closing date. That didn't happen. It's been over a month, and there are still outstanding issues. The most frustrating one is how we informed that there were issues with the sod during this New Home Orientation process and the Lennar Warranty rep assured us it would just settle in and be fine, and that the sod would not be covered by warranty. But it was improperly installed, and that was identified before closing! So now I have to deal with dead grass, HoA citations because of it, and even though Lennar had been informed about it before we closed, they refuse to fix their improper sod work. We also have a grading issue that's been reported for a few weeks now. They insist that the construction manager will be in contact with us to assess it and fix it. No contact from him. We had a pretty attentive construction manager before closing, but they swapped him out after we moved in and the new one is non-existent. A whole bunch of things that should have been done in the period between the New Home Orientation weren't done. We're still waiting for a CO2 detector that they never installed. An unpainted wall that was identified during NHO took them about a month to get to, I'm still waiting for them to send their external painters to handle walls that were not properly covered outdoors. Their builders continue to build houses close by and they carelessly move their equipment around, which caused them to punch a hole in the curb on my house and Lennar refuses to do anything about it. This isn't even going into all the small defects such as broken cabinets, gaps in the walls, nails sticking out from the kitchen island, the incorrectly installed washing machine. Seriously, it seems like Lennar hires builders and contractors that are doing this for the first time in their lives and their warranty department will do everything in their power not to help. It’s been an incredible journey overall from signing the home till the closing date. This is a great community and I am very happy to have Kelly as my new home consultant. I really appreciate her time in answering and clarifying all of my questions as a first time buyer, she responds so quick and try to help in all possible ways. Thank you Kelly, you are the best. I highly recommend Lennar Homes for their competitive prices with quality especially for first time buyers.

We love your new home, everything was great. We've had a few small issues, such as one of the gates didn't close properly, and Lennar send someone right over to fix it. Any time we have a question, we get an answer promptly. The whole experience from walking in to the model home, to dealing with the their mortgage company, to closing was easy and everyone was friendly.

Home comes with a good amount of damage, then they claim it’s not under lennar warranty

Bought new home. Overall happy with home, but things to be aware of. 1. AC system was undersized by 1 Ton. Took a month to get someone to acknowledge, believe and do something about. 2. Yard wasnt levled and prepared correctly. One whole back corner wasnt cut down and mowed until days before close. It is a sinkhole now, waiting for this to be fixed almost 2 months after close. 3. Attic insulation was shorted by 4"-6" - how is this missed at inspections? 4. Quality of some items is less than builder grade 5. Neighborhood warranty person is great, they have to fight upstream against company to get things done right House was a good price and value, but these items should in no way have been missed at multiple inspections. I am extremely happy with my overall home buying experience and would recommend Lennar without hesitation! My new home is stunning & well made. My sales rep Robin, construction site manager Mark and new home orientation guy Larry were all top notch! Friendly, answered all my questions & responded quickly to the small issues I did have. Was everything perfect, of course not, but I got a strong sense that Lennar cares about their quality and your satisfaction and they make every effort to make things right! I was sincerely impressed!

The professionalism, responsiveness, and friendliness of the team made the home buying experience easy to management. Also, the quality and craftsmanship of the home demonstrates a well built structure which I adore.

Easy process to buy a home

The sales staff, the project managers, and the post closing crew have all been 5 stars in every way! They were more proactive about me buying a home than I was! Could not be more satisfied!

Our salesperson was dishonest and unresponsive. He used high pressure tactics and forced us to close on an unfinished home (or lose our deposit). Workmanship for an executive home was abysmal. Follow up post sale was non existent with numerous unreturned calls. There has been a complete lack of coordination to get problems rectified. This company is all about moving units and quality is not even factored in.

The customer service is fair. Once you’re on your home, they don’t think repair issues are important. The person who answers the phone is rude. She acts like your issues are not a big deal.

Concrete work is terrible. Promise to be complete at closing was not kept. The house was very dirty. Overall, not up to Lennar standards that we experienced at Lennar in Castalina. What’s happening with your quality control.

The process started off great! Everyone was nice and the communication was excellent. Our closing date was pushed back three times due to permits building issues. Each new closing date we were promised everything would be ready to go by the new closing date and that was never the case. We were told all blue tape issues and the overall home would be done before we moved in and they were not. Even after we closed on the home there were still blue tape issues that had never been fixed so we have a list of work orders to submit.

This is my second time buying with Lennar. It started off great but all went downhill. They kept pushing our closing out (understandable with new construction) but the worst was when we were scheduled for our new home orientation and we got a call less than 30 minutes beforehand when we were already almost there that the home wasn’t ready and our closing would be delayed (again). The construction manager was apologetic but I asked to speak to a supervisor and never got to. I had to keep following up for updates which was met with an attitude from Lennar. We were forced to do a very large earnest money deposit which we were afraid to lose. This caused us to sell our home early and move in with my parents so we would be ready because if we weren’t, we would lose that deposit. No consequences for Lennar not being ready, the unprofessionalism, or the horrible customer service. They moved our closing up a day because the hurricane was coming and agreed to fix some things that hadn’t been completed yet. They never did. They left us with dying grass they won’t replace now despite us taking great care of it. They are clearly building too many houses too quickly and don’t have the time to ensure they’re taking good care of the homes or the buyers. ... More
