1. poor communication within departments; no one takes ownership; it's a pass-the-hot potato mentality. We were told.. “to sign this” with no exceptions or you can't close, with issues pending. House was dirty with bugs and spider, paint in the rugs. 2. Day one range did not work, had to wait 3 weeks to get it fix, and no one cared. 3. Electrical issues, took you 31/2 weeks to get it fixed, and you knew it was a known issue. You could care less if we had power. 4. Loan officer's poor communication had to chase the officer down to lock in my rate. 5. Would not recommend

Great place to live and great place to buy

When our old house sold in 24 hours and the buyers wanted a 14 day close we thought we would be homeless. I got on the Lennar site and found a home that was move in ready and met our needs I clicked buy now. I received a call shortly there after that the home was sold but there was another one on the same street, that fit our needs even better. The sales agent Ashley guided us through the contract and worked with us by phone and email. We closed in under 30 days, everything was easy and well communicated. Although quick it was a very smooth transition to our new home.

I did expect a new build to take maybe two months, but not more than four months from our original move in date per our contract. As nice as the people are, their attentiveness and sense of urgency are very much lacking. I am in finance and customer service. We all get overwhelmed. However, we expect to get back to our clients like any industry! I am still waiting on things for my new home that I have not received, and I’ve been there more than a month. My neighbors had much worse issues and I’m lucky we did not go through what they endured. The mail issue was very bad and I still don’t have everything because we were given the wrong keys. Just like my neighbors were. The USPS and the builder did not coordinate this correct. The HOA company has hired the worst garbage and recycle partner we could ever get. They don’t pick up consistently and we have trash always outside! What’s the point in paying a fee every month if we don’t get the service part of it? I had issues contacting the seller about anything at any point and responsiveness was not good on the financing side. Our closing date was pushed back without any reason and without any heads-up. Builder was great and we love the house.

Always use a private home inspector as they can find any little thing needs fixing .

This has been the worst experience of my life

Lennar made everything so easy. From touring models through financing, this was one of the most efficient and pleasant experiences ever. And the home and community are absolutely amazing. Highly recommend Lennar to help lay down your roots!

Working with the sales team was phenomenal. They were very informed, always accessible, and true professionals. When I moved in, the customer care point person was also fantastic -- professional, responsive, etc. However, I had a water lead, the HVAC wasn't working properly, and the network hub wasn't complete. All of this was fixed (thanks to the prompt action and consistent follow-up of the customer care person), but a new build shouldn't have had these issues.

Process was smooth but not to the expected range. No one handed over keys which is bad.

Excellent Customer service throughout the home buying process.

During my final walk- through inspection, I noted several items that needed taken care of and informed the Lennar builder representative of these requests (kitchen cabinets missing shelves, sloppy sheetrock mud and exterior paint already starting to peeling to name a few.) After being assured that these items would be corrected, I proceeded to sign my closing documents. After 7 weeks of moving into my new home, and several phone calls and messages being sent to the builder's office requesting service, I am still waiting for these items to be taken care of. In addition to this, I had the supply line under my sink break loose during the night flooding most of my home. Lennar did respond to this immediately and arranged for the plumbing company and a water removal/ remediation company to come that day. I'm hoping that Lennar will step up and take care of the damages that I incurred quicker than my recent experience with them has been. ... More

Did not receive mail keys until 2 months after closing. Customer service was horrible. Lazy individuals were responsible for the customer service aspect of this process

My wife and I have been incredibly impressed with the professionalism, responsiveness and true sense that Lennar cares about their buyers. From Shannon on the sales team to Nick in Customer Care, to the subcontractors coming by for minor warranty repairs, everyone has been wonderful to deal with. We are from Canada and have built 4 new homes there. No customer service experience we've had prior to this with a builder, compares to Lennar's amazing one. We feel we got great value and quality of construction. Where there was an issue we noticed, it was fixed promptly and professionally by contractors, with follow up from Nick in Customer Care. To start, my 3rd party inspector found way too many issues for a brand new home. Now that it has been a month more and more issues pop up. I can barely get the warranty rep (Hunter) to even return my call after giving him 12 days to review the newest case I have submitted. I am currently not satisfied with my overall experience and Lennar could do better.

shoddy workmen ship, rushing to get things done, workers did not seem not to have any pride in their work.

I contacted My Lennar and put in the paperwork to have the problem corrected. After a virtual visit, they stated they would contact the contractor.The contractor said it would be about three weeks before we could have someone look at the problem. I said this could be expensive on my electric bill. A man came out and found the thermostat was wired incorrectly. He said the heat was trying to run with the a/c. This resulted in a 720.00 dollar electric bill for the month.

I regret buying from Lennar, worst customer experience of my life

Getting customer care to take care of issues is a hassle when it shouldn’t be. The HOA is not the best. The amenities are not usable due to HOA rules and not managing the budget properly. The country should be able to step in and do something. They building all these homes but then after you buy you find out that you can't use the gym u can use the pool except for certain days now. It's just not worth the amount you pay in dues.customer service can be improved all the way around from construction manager to customer care.

I am incredibly grateful for the assistance of Ryan, Frank, and others throughout my purchase journey. Although the road was not smooth, we were able to overcome all the obstacles and achieve our goals. I appreciate Lennar for everything. The customer service team especially Jose is always on point; they resolve all the issues raised before and after closure. I will buy from them again.

I would not recommend working with Lennar in any capacity. They do not care about the customer (especially if you are a woman) and the contracts are set up to cover themselves against a lack of customer service. They blame the customer and even told me 'nothing the sales agent sales is binding.' I will never buy a new home from Lennar again.
