The first day (all of my pictures are date/time stamped): 1. the front door weather stripping seal at the bottom of the door was 80% off 2. the back door paint was bubbling and peeling, and though I pointed it out to Mike (the builder), he said "that wasn't there before, what bumped it." I said "the landscapers turned on the water too soon after it was painted" (as you don't get 100+ bubbles and peeling from bumping it). 3. the construction crew leveled the bottom piece of siding by the front door with a carpenters pencil 4. ***** came by, again about a month ago, took pictures of the brown/dead areas in the *****n and said he was going to have those patches replaced. Nothing as of yet. Being a painter, I asked for the paint they used on that door and the color of the interior wall paint over a month ago, and about a week ago, I got a little container of the wall paint (thankfully). ... Lennar Homeowner Survey – Formal Complaint From start to finish, our experience with Lennar has been unacceptable. The sales process was marked by consistent rudeness, dismissiveness, and disrespect from the sales representative. Her behavior made communication unnecessarily difficult and created obstacles at nearly every step. What should have been a straightforward, professional experience became stressful and adversarial because of her conduct. The walkthrough was rushed, incomplete, and clearly not treated with the seriousness it deserved. Numerous is*****s we pointed out were not addressed before closing, despite being documented. After moving in, we discovered even more problems throughout the home — is*****s that should have been caught long before we ever received the keys. The service portal added to the frustration, as it was difficult to use and slowed down the process of getting anything resolved. The condition of the home after closing was far below any reasonable standard. A month after moving in, we were still finding construction debris around the property, and every single light fixture contained debris and dead insects. The home was delivered extremely dirty, which is unacceptable for a new build. More concerning are the construction quality is*****s that raise serious questions about oversight and workmanship. Several windows are not plumb and vary noticeably in size. Multiple walls are visibly uneven or not straight. Some fixtures remain in disrepair, even after attempts to address them. These are not minor cosmetic concerns — they reflect a lack of quality control and attention to detail. In summary, this experience has been one disappointment after another, spanning sales, construction, walkthrough, closing, and post‑move‑in support. We expected professionalism, quality, and care. Instead, we received a home with significant defects and a process marked by disrespect, poor communication, and inadequate follow‑through. [TRANSLATED FROM ES] We filed several complaints. The repair on the property, specifically on the wall, never addressed our ***** case; we called but received no response.

The craftsmanship was dismal at best. There were several is*****s noted in the initial walkthrough that were not and have no been fixed. The conception of a virtual walkthrough was completely unreasonable. You can’t see is*****s through a phone screen. That policy is ridiculous. House grading is not correct- Water pools and damaging grass. Office personnel unclear about details and gave incorrect information. Unwilling to fix is*****s that they caused. The process seemed rushed. As a first time home buyer, this was not a good experience.

Would not recommend anyone to buy a Lennar home

The fence is literally falling apart and the assessment was it's ok and they will not repair it. The fence was poorly stained and someone was to come out here weeks ago to fix and no one has showed up. The access stairs to the attic is very shaky and does not close properly because it is out of alignment. Once again I was told that is the best they can do, I just need to put some muscle into it. The water shut off door in the garage won't open and when I try it feels like the entire casing will come out of the wall. The ceiling on the back patio was cut poorly and now that I removed the light to add a ceiling fan the gap shows. Again do to initial shoddy work. Even the system to go online to pay my mortgage was poorly developed and the rep I spoke with told me there was nothing that could be done about because they don't have IT experts. That prove to be NOT TRUE. Talked a different rep the following week and she got a website rep on the phone with both of us and the problem was resolved. It had everything to do with Lennar setting me up in the system incorrectly. After the sale was complete I never heard back from the sales guy, he ignored all of my calls but rep*****d to some of them via email. Didn't get my mailbox key for 3 weeks. Of course there is a lot I didn't pay attention before closing. No room to run a *****n mower properly because mine and the neighbors units are too close to access between. Just a bunch of other is*****s that let's me know that Lennar does not have the resident in mind when building. I will never buy another Lennar home. ... More

The whole experience sucked. Great credit. No late bills. 50,000.00 down payment and denied.

We are enjoying the spacious one level home with much storage. However we have lived here since May 13th and still have dirt. Our neighbors across the street who moved in this week were notified that their landscaping will begin presently. We’re very disappointed to be ignored.

Everyone we dealt with at Lennar (and their associated companies - Lennar Insurance, Lennar Mortgage, etc.) were very easy to deal with. Their sales people were not pushy, and everyone was responsive to any little is*****s that came up.

The people who helped us with this house were amazing! Especially Nancy our sales person!

The builder was very responsive. My loan package through Lennar wasn’t provided in a timely manner. The 3-4 hour delay impacted my buying experience. Within 1 month, I also had to make a warranty claim for a Sod repair.

Service

Missing mail key with no communication from Lennar. Overspray paint on windows, trim floor. Instead of cutting tile to fit- used caulk to fill gaps. ***** is left on everything in chunks. Clearly missed painted doors, walls. Grass was dead and we were given the project managers word that he would resolve if it didn’t grow. I choose to fix all of these is*****s myself. The dishwasher installed is a joke - we replaced it immediately. Trees planted in back yard are about 10 feet on the outside of our property line.

Horrible communication between different roles: sales, construction, and buyer

I had many is*****s, it's a new build, fine it happens. What is unacceptable is the lack of communication, and unwillingness to remedy major is*****s correctly without a major fight. In the warranty claim chain, you talk to someone in a call center who basically has no ability to escalate anything, and you're at the mercy of the construction manager assigned to your case. If the customer sevice rep and construction manager don't care to do a good job for the customer, the customer is basically iced out, and is forced to call the emergency line ten times over the course of three weeks until the customer talks to the same person at the call center so many times they email the division president, then suddenly people can manage to return a phone call. It's clear the warranty chain has gaps in oversight and accountability, resulting in angry customers such as myself. At this point, I am a walking billboard to avoid Lennar. Had I received professional and timely communication, my experience would be "There were hiccups, but they took care of me without hassle." Instead, it's "I had to spend $500 on a civil engineer and almost 15 hours on the phone to get my is*****s resolved." ... More

Review I became aware of a new community being built in the ***** area by the power of social media and algorithms. I immediately fell in awe with one of their floor designs and decided to personally visit this community. I arrived with no appointment and the experience was amazing. They explained Lennar’s model: homes built in a fast pace and no room for modifications. It sounded perfect and terrifying. However, I loved that particular floor plan. Price was decent considering the current housing market prices and the promise of everything that will be built in that area and its location. So, after thorough thought and weighing in benefits and risks, I decided to proceed with the purchase. After signing and issuing my first deposit, I would never hear back from that seller. When I decided to ask a further simple question regarding the home design and style, it took hours to get that information. Furthermore, I was assigned a concierge that would act as the point of contact during the building process. Barely we communicated and when we did, it always gave the impression that I was bothering. When it came to inspections, there was always misinformation and miscommunication. However, at the final inspection the quality and construction manager were very informative and showed disposition to help if anything arose after closing. That obviously never happened. They never showed up after inquiring on is*****s that were identified after the first weeks of moving into the property. During the closing stage it was uncomfortable experience. The demeanor and attitude of the closing personnel was rude and unprofessional. At this point I just wanted to sign and my home keys; no silly picture to be tagged for their social media images. Never again I would do any home purchase from Lennar. Throughout all this process you feel voiceless and with no options. It feels as if they’re doing a favor to you. If you’re ok with this style of service, then Lennar should be your first choice. Otherwise, there are plenty of homebuilders in the area. ... More
