Lennar is more interested in quantity not quality. To many repairs had to be done after final walk thru. Other repairs having to take place after moving in.

My biggest complaint was being told if our loan closings was late we would have to pay a fee per day being late. Lennar was however not held to the same standard when delays occurred. Especially during Covid that needs to be amended

Marc keep me updated weekly. That was very important when it came to planning my move. The only thing Lennar could improve on is presenting a gift at closing. For example a bottle of wine and two glasses to say thank you and welcome to your new home. All homes I have purchased new provided a welcome gift. The apartment I stayed in gave a nice welcome gift.

Cannot opt out of very cheap appliances. Had to get rid of appliances before installing up graded appliances. Can’t make any changes, not even to add an electrical outlet.

We had a good experience with Lennar. The overall quality is as per the price you pay. It will be good if they can allow little bit of customizations. Their overall response to the issues is good.

Overall good product built, maintained, and sold by good people. Promised repairs take a long time to complete. We’re quite happy to be here.

the goal is to finish the homes so the buyers can move in, but the outside is an issue when the have to come back to pave the garage space the steps not finish to even have guest over, I understand this all comes at a later day but 2 months is a little unexpected , not sure if there waiting to finish the other homes so they can do this all at once , which is not fair to the buyers who already closed on there home

Pros: Lennar has great houses to offer. I'm satisfied with their design and abundant features. Cons: Lennar's purchasing process is not as streamlined as other competitors. Their departments and affiliated agencies do not seem to be in close communication. I had to make extra effort contacting them to push things forward. I was anticipating to be instructed at every step of the process so I would know exactly what's next. This did not happen. I hope Lennar, as the number 2 builder in the country, would spend more effort to work out an tightly orchestrated workflow for buyers, and guide the buyers at each step. More usefully, if the construction manager/sales can work together and provide construction updates with photos, text, email, that would be even better. There were also some problems with the appliances before/after closing. It took a while to get those issues addressed. After closing, Lennar would not help with appliances, and instead they referred us to the manufacturer. But all the issues we had were all caused by the poor installation quality. So, bring your own home inspector on the walk-through day to save troubles after closing. Summary: I would buy again from Lennar due to its great design. Love walking in my house. The view outside my glass sliding door is enchanting. I see water. Trees, and sometimes birds.

The experience dealing with Lennar was very good, soup to nuts, but everyone feels overworked. This means things were not always smooth, but once focused all good. Workmanship from the trades was a big concern. the trades are hurting, so not sure what Lennar could do to help that.

Good Builder to work with. Some issues with the home at signing but they are fairly timely with there response to issues. Be warned the interim HOA board set up prior to being handed over to the community are terrible, non-responsive and flexible with the needs of the initial homeowners who move in during during development construction phase.

The house was great but workmanship is poor specially in Sheetrock and painting. Hopefully they look into it and make it better.

In the initial part of the experience, Julie was great and helpful. We were able to select the floor plan and model we wanted in a time frame that worked for us. In the middle/financing part, we became exhausted. We completed the loan application by the first of the year, and the house was originally set to close the last of February. The loan team waited until February to start reaching out about missing documents and application discrepancies. Then they moved up the closing date to mid-February, made us feel rushed but like we would be fine to close, and then sent us several mixed signaled about whether we would even be able to close at all. After several rounds of applications and emails and DocuSign-ing, we closed in early March. I felt like the loan team assigned to us did a good job of trying to help, but the whole process turned me off from buying a house with Lennar again. Why would you wait so long to start such a process, move up the closing date, and pressure homebuyers to make so many changes? The whole loan thing left a sour taste in my mouth. Now that we are moved in, I’m happy with the house. The neighborhood is beautiful. The house is solid. We’ve only experienced a few minor issues as we’ve moved it. I really need to wait and see how the yard comes out before I can make a real recommendation. Still need some things inside done and outside

Overall it was a good experience. I liked the model immediately. Having built houses before, I was somewhat disappointed with the interior paint job and the choice of carpet. There were other examples of a careless job. The flooring could prove to be problematic. The word that comes to mind is "rushed" because this is such a large development and people are buying houses quickly. I wish that I had been able to give input and change some things. I feel very comfortable in the house and will make changes after I have lived here longer.

Look at all walls for nail heads sticking out of drywall. Check Bathroom tile workmanship. Look for warped cabinet doors, bulging carpet, etc. we like our home but some areas of workmanship are very shoddy and looks as if completed carelessly. we cannot comment on outside due to areas not complete due to weather.

Since day one sales representative was great and the whole process was fast track. After closing Lennar Customer service was very attentive to complete a few pending item. Lennar Customer service need to do a better coordination with their contractors to complete work orders on time during warranty period.

Overall Lennar is better then most builders in the area. The houses are solid as I was fortunate enough to watch my house be built living down the street in another Tortuga Home. Dealing with mortgage people was a challenge just getting the math correct on their end. Dealing with the Salesman, Construction Manager and Warranty Manager were easy as they always responded in a timely manner. Getting things fixed after the sale, for the most part, was in a timely manner. Construction site is filthy (with non construction material) as workers do not pick up after themselves which intern blows all over your new property. The work progressed more slowly than was promised. Our finish date was first set at 9/30/21, and we did not close until 2/28/22. There was a great deal of expense we incurred as a result of those delays (storage fees, rental fees, etc) and Lennar has thus far not addressed compensating us for almost $25,000 in added expenses to us. That was very disappointing.

Builder rushes to get houses completed. Many items were missed in the house and still waiting 2 months for items to get replaced and/or installed. Construction workers are slobs & don't care if they dump garbage everywhere or block your home.

The finishing was done in hurry. Many issues submitted as maintenance for new house is bad. We have to spend much time on this which is unfortunate

We have had issues. Our foundation has sink spots so they are having to pull up our floor and pour concrete. Drywall work is also done poorly. I haven’t been too happy with how poorly some of the work was done. We had our own inspection done and are still waiting on some of the items to be fixed. We closed late Feb.

A big reason we chose to purchase a new home rather than an existing was because there's typically less competition. We weren't able to make a quick decision on an existing house before other offers were made and accepted, but with this new home from Lennar, we were able to avoid that and had time to think about this purchase and visit the model we were planning on buying. Working with our Lennar contacts (Rick and Chad) have been great, they're very knowledgeable and answer any and all questions. Even after the sale, I don't feel like we've been left in the wind, they're still very responsive. There are some minor details with the workmanship I wish could be better, mainly the nail holes in all the trim are visible, but that's the standard quality they offer. The carpet padding isn't as soft as I'd prefer, and we'd have chosen different kitchen appliances if we were buying them, the dishwasher feel cheap and the fridge isn't ideal. Other than those small items, it's great. Overall value is hard to judge, I feel that we did overpay, but not by an amount I'm uncomfortable with. Existing houses come with some extra's that aren't included, such as a deck, gutters, water softener, shades/blinds, none of which were included. I like to think of myself as a DIY guy, mostly because I'm too cheap to pay someone else to do something for me that I can do, and also that I do enjoy doing it, so deciding to buy a new home was a weird decision to come to, but I don't regret it. ...
