From closing to getting settled in has not been a good experience. On closing day painters were still touching up the paint. The cleaner was at my home mopping and left the floor so wet it looked like the top of a lake. Response to customer care has taken over a month to get items fixed. The appliances are cheap the workmanship in probably a 7 out of 10. Probably would not purchase another Lennar home.

Many defects found from day 1 with majority are related to flooring, finishing and garage concrete slope issues which are not identified and given an option to blue tape to us at the time of orientation. Customer service has mentioned that some of them are supposed to be identified before closing and are handled as per the warranty terms. I wish the construction quality is better.

The loan process was easy. Everyone was friendly and super helpful. Even after we have moved in our new home everyone still helps!

The homes are not built with very high quality materials and they haven't installed with care, if you miss something in your home orientation, it's probably not covered by warranty and it will be your responsibility. I had issues with carpet and floor installation and they are not covered by warranty and I have to hire some people to fix my brand new house carpet.

Overall well built. Parking one's vehicle backwards is important on steep driveways. The Bristol home plan with the stack-able washer and dryer only closet requires more than an 8 ft dryer duct hose, in order for the installer to be able to get out without disconnecting the tube from over stretch. House is cozy with great acoustics. One of the bath tubs had rust stains. Won't come out. In closing, I do appreciate V taking the time and effort in finding me a home quickly!

Process went very smooth aside from current promos advertised all over the place not being true. (Blasting 4.75 rates then taking a 10k deposit and saying that couldn't happen is a bit of a problem) maybe I am the ignorant one seeing a promotion more than once and not reading the VERY fine print (when promo available) all that being said we got the rate we wanted after offering to back out and are very happy with our home and purchase!

So many issues to fix. They forced me to close on the unit even though it wasn’t ready! Lennar kept my money since November!! The closing took place in February! I still have open tickets that haven’t been resolved. Not happy. Plus I was promised pools, restaurant, gym. Nothing had been built !! No Pool for us to use and it’s summer already. Terrible. During the inital viewing tour, I thought this experience was going to be amazing. The folks were eager to show homes but that is where the accommodations ended. The entire process was rushed and stressful. Although the home I purchased was unfinished I was unable to make any changes to the decor (i.e. carpet & home automation). During my final walk through & key turnover my home was not even cleaned. That said, I cannot comment on the craftsmanship specifically because my home has not yet had time to settle. However, theses houses are constucted entirely too fast, my neighbors have complained about plumbing issues, cracks in the concrete and chips in their walls. Lennar you must do better to make people feel as if this experience is important. I have seen some residents welcomed with a sign and others including myself told, here are your keys! The paint peals off. I have a couple doors that really need to be changed and I’ve already submitted a request and had the virtual meeting but nothing. On almost all cabinets the screws were pushed in too deeply that they cracked the wood. Almost all screws. The paint is the most disappointing because I’ll have to repaint EVERYTHING.

Good builder, but could use an upgrade in sound proofing at shared walls in their townhomes, especially at Master bedroom.

The quality of materials and workmanship is sub-standard at best. Lennar houses are slapped together in an assembly line manner. There are no changes allowed of any sort. Our salesman flat out lied throughout the process. Once we got close to closing we finally were able to meet the construction manager. She has no knowledge of construction. She just knows what she's told by her bosses. There are so many issues to be fixed of which they rely on the warranty dept. So far the warranty dept has been good but it's alot of emails and scheduling for people to be in our house. I highly recommend everyone to save yourselves and stay away from Lennar. ... More

Home has a lot of issues to fix, starting and not limited to essential things as foundation, flooring and walls. Communication has been overall decent, however follow ups has been completed due to some of the first issues reported are still pending. At this time, after 2 months of bought the house, several items to fix are pending.

Lennar has slight improvement in overall quality. However, it's still not meet customer's satisfaction. Responsiveness and coordination are still a big issues. Property orientation and closing arrangements are very confusing and not considering customer's need. Time response is extremely slow and sometimes not even replying customer's questions.

The sod was laid wet and then the workers walked all over it creating very dangerous pot holes in the shape of foot prints. I hurt my right knee the first time I walked on it. I have to regrade it of course. The electrician has been out twice. Drawers had to be repaired. Had to have gutters in immediately. Lost power twice the first week so I put in a generator. The kitchen cabinets are useless. Having drawers installed. Tore out all the low grade carpeting. Put in a matching floor. The driveway is all pitted with extra cement globs everywhere. They had replaced 1 section but really the whole thing needed to be redone like most of the neighbors. I wasn’t as smart. In my contract. I was promised things that took a month of nagging to happen. Everyone was nice on face value with no follow through. A little less cutting corners for some quality assurance is worth a lot of good will and publicity. ... More

You'll spend most of the process chasing people for answers, and then you might also get verbally abused by at least 1 Lennar representative. Our initial disclosures were sent within hours of the 3 day requirement passing. We were told that they would extend our closing date (due to reasons on our end), if we paid an additional $3K on the price of our home. They then proceeded to extend the closing date further due to workmanship issues. When we inquired about the additional $3K being removed since now the delays were not due to anything on our end, I was berated by a Lennar manager to the point that I was in tears. He used it all: gas-lighting, guilt-tripping, criticism, etc. My husband took over conversations and also received this treatment. By the end of the conversation, he was assured that while the $3K couldn't be removed, our home would be perfect prior to closing. One major concern of ours was that our kitchen island was more than an inch off from one end to the other, causing it to look obviously crooked. This manager assured my husband that he would see to this being fixed himself. We performed our initial walkthough and the issue hadn't been touched. The warranty representative confirmed the issue was documented both in our inspection and had received attention from management and would be resolved. We get to our final walkthrough, the issue was still not fixed. At the same time, we begin getting pressuring calls from their lender that we need to close the next day or we risk getting charged a fee for each day after. It's crazy to think that they want to haphazardly plan a closing date and give us no time to plan time off from work. You'd think they'd want us to have time to appropriately plan so that we keep our jobs to pay the mortgage we're acquiring. With so little time to plan, my husband and I had to sign for our first home separately. In the end, we were so worn out from the chasing, berating, and pressuring that we decided that we would deal with the island issue ourselves. We are still finding issues that we can only hope they will resolve within our first year living here. If other homes in our area weren't going for so much more than the one's in our neighborhood, we would've went a different route. We'll be sure to be ready to pay more next time instead of working with the shady and unprofessional people that Lennar chooses to employ. ... More

Too much negative parts to highlight. I would just say construction quality and customer service poor

I absolutely love my tiny home! Of course there will always be issues because it’s a new build. Just a few things… 1. The fire alarms are way too high to reach even with a ladder. My father got up on a ladder and he could barely touch the one in the living room. 2. I love the lighting in the house however can’t reach them to replace the bulbs and apparently I have to rent a certain tool to take off the cover so I can replace the light bulb. 3. The grass, I have a long backyard. I only got 20 ft from the back of the house that is covered with grass. The rest of my backyard is bare with dirt and weeds. That’s unattractive. 4. The standing shower could have used a few more feet, on all sides. 5. What’s with the virtual repair. I totally get help training the home owner to be self sufficient but if the house is under a one year warranty I expected a little bit more than virtual repair. The repairs are quick, but because of the virtual part it lengthens the repair process within days. Other than that! I love my tiny home. ... More

overall a nice product but attention to detail of painters and sheet rockers to include cleanliness is lacking. without our construction mgr things would have been extremely frustrating!

I just purchased my first home with Lennar. The experience went more smoothly than I expected. The house is perfect for me (literally everything I was looking for), and the loan process was made very easy by my loan officer and processor. Communication was great between everyone. Very happy with how everything turned out.

The Lennar portals were easy to use and navigate. The sales people and agents were very friendly and ready to answer any questions I had. My favorite part though, is how responsive Lennar is to post-sales complaints or issues. They always have a service rep that reaches back out to you and they can get most issues reported resolved within a few days. For example, I discovered a crack in the wall behind the toilet and two days later someone showed up to fix it. This was 5 weeks after sale date.

From the purchasing process with Catherine, to the inspection process with Ron and Kim, working with the Lennar homes team has been awesome

I felt rushed to move in, so that Lennar can show a completed sale despite the home was rushed. The home also had materials and parts removed to finish other homes in the series and when the contractors replaced parts back the quality control was compromised with re installation. Should have informed my lawyer to get involved with write contingencies before I sign off the walk thru. Felt like things were purposely hidden. should have never signed off in good faith things would be addressed. felt duped and lied too. Now moved in close to two months in and don’t feel comfortable inside my home. cannot even enjoy since the cabinets have missing hardware missed drilled holes, compromised installation, no quality control and tile has stains that were never buffed out. Our Lennar customer service rep is ok but the manager or foreman is a complete lack there of and never double checked worked. ... More

I would never in my life recommend buying a home with Lennar to my worst enemy. From the sales rep, Orin, being so uniformative and having horrible communication. I actually lost out on the same house I purchased that couldve been $20,000 less but in the middle of signing and trying to pay earnest money Orin stopped responding and we lost the house. I've never even met the "man" in person. We were never told about the ONLY 20ft of grass and found out on our final walk through with no option to add more. Next headache I suffered was Natasha W in the loan or mortgage side. Absolutely repulsive behavior by yelling at my fiance on the phone with our realtor also on the phone. Natasha and Orin made this experience a 1/10 solely by themselves. But if we had to add more I would also tell you how reckless, careless, and lazy, the construction crew is. Our house was near completion and we found cigarettes all throughout our (pretty much finished) home. Beer bottles in the bath tub. Holes busted in the walls. Putty smeared on the livingroom windows. And yes we have photos of all of this and we did send them into the construction manager and it took a few times of us complaining and explaining that this is our home and we deserve to have a little respect shown. This was the absolute worst experience I could have ever imagined how a first time home buying would be. We have so many friends that love this neighborhood and were looking to buy in guadalupe heights and we turned them away to save them headache heartache and misery. Carrie, Colby and Ashley were all great! They responded quickly to all my needs! Carrie followed through until the end. She made the loan process smooth. Ashley was the best construction manager. She followed up even after closing to make sure everything was ok. Colby was very detailed with my walk through. He made sure I knew all the ins and outs of my new home. Thanks Lennar!
