I've lived in my home for 45 days now, and am generally satisfied overall; however, there are some items to note if you're going into a home buying experience here. Make sure you know your colorways and are happy with them prior to agreeing to purchase the home. Don't let the salespeople, construction team, warranty people, or anyone force you into anything. For the price paid for the home, the construction was reasonable and workmanship was okay.. but you'd expect more attention to detail and prompt follow-up to correct minor issues and ensure the customer is happy. It’s really hard to communicate with the office staff, once closing came they didn’t care about multiple issues included those mentioned regarding the house. Response times are extremely high, with people having to follow up multiple times to get a response.

Beautiful home, bad sound insulation!

Overall, we really enjoy the new home we bought from Lennar. However, this place's sound insulation is horrible! We live in a town home and have neighbors left and right. The garage is in the first floor, everyday we can hear our neighbor's car door close when they get home, also when they go up and down to the stairs. The builder said there are multilpe dry wall inbetween each unit, so techniquelly, we don't really share the same wall with others. But we still hear foot steps, doors in the house closing, sometimes even their TV.

I feel like if my husband and I didn't point out a lot of things that were not done correctly, they would have let it slide. We've had neighbors complain about things missing from their home or not done well. People are in the excitement of getting a new home, there needs to be people in their corner making sure their home is what is expected.

The purchasing process of buying my home was smooth and easy. Working with the loan processors proved to be remarkably easy, even with the VA involved). Had to close remotely (12 May 22). House keys "got lost" between the closing coordinator and Butler & College. Closing coordinator (Erika) proved to be a waste of time. Alot of finger pointing between Erika and Butler & College. Closing/Escrow Manager (Brittney) joins conversation and appears helpful. Statements surmised to resolve situation in 3 days (email dated 17 May22). Love having everything included. Could have done a much better job with home cleanliness when we received it. Both interior and exterior needed major cleaning. Follow up to warranty requests are not as timely as they could be. Otherwise, purchasing experience, framing walk through, and home layout are beautiful.

Honestly, I do like my house a lot but I am really unsure about so much. Every single employee that I worked with, leading up to closing day, was absolutely amazing. We were not able to pick anything (not customizable) but they did agree to lay vinyl for me throughout the first floor rather than carpet the bedrooms. That was a huge win and I literally could not say enough great things about the local team from sales, to construction managers, and even to the loan officer and lenders, etc. Larissa, Victor, Mickey... all great to us. However, there is just so much that went wrong before ...

The overall experience went pretty well, though after being in the house for a month, there are definitely things that look like shortcut were taken. Pavers not being even, no sand in papers, doors not being cut straight, dont stay locked, garage door not closing on its own, pavers not level with the garage floor, door jams not cut straight. screen doors are still missing for the slider doors. Overall we love the house, but in paying this much for a house, I dont appreciate when it looks like things were over looked and in trying to get them remedied, the process is taking weeks to get ...

Experience was great. Quality workmanship and materials were awesome! But refrigerator's water and ice dispenser was not fully operational and I cant get them to replace it. The warranty contact was not helpful at all, no trouble call ticket provided and it seems like nothing has happened.

Day of closing home was not ready, all the issues get transferred to Home Warranty, it takes a long time and you buy a new home with things damaged or not finished and now you have to take care of it, make the calls then wait for a video call, then take time off work. I expected to have my home ready but sadly it was not, promised things were going to get done before we came back from our closing and it was not done. The people that work for Lennar are very nice but they are overwhelmed and over worked.

My biggest complaint was being told if our loan closings was late we would have to pay a fee per day being late. Lennar was however not held to the same standard when delays occurred. Especially during Covid that needs to be amended

In the initial part of the experience, Julie was great and helpful. We were able to select the floor plan and model we wanted in a time frame that worked for us. In the middle/financing part, we became exhausted. We completed the loan application by the first of the year, and the house was originally set to close the last of February. The loan team waited until February to start reaching out about missing documents and application discrepancies. Then they moved up the closing date to mid-February, made us feel rushed but like we would be fine to close, and then sent us several mixed signaled ...

Overall Lennar is better then most builders in the area. The houses are solid as I was fortunate enough to watch my house be built living down the street in another Tortuga Home. Dealing with mortgage people was a challenge just getting the math correct on their end. Dealing with the Salesman, Construction Manager and Warranty Manager were easy as they always responded in a timely manner. Getting things fixed after the sale, for the most part, was in a timely manner. The work progressed more slowly than was promised. Our finish date was first set at 9/30/21, and we did not close until 2/28/22. There was a great deal of expense we incurred as a result of those delays (storage fees, rental fees, etc) and Lennar has thus far not addressed compensating us for almost $25,000 in added expenses to us. That was very disappointing.
