Now with Lennar they want to sell you the house so once you have all the credentials 99.9 percent of the time you will get the house plus they will work with you to get it. My sales representative I give a big shout to him in the wv division he is the best. Going to know my son after him. It’s my first time buying a house so I learned as I go now looking back I don’t know why i was so stressed. The annoying part is giving the same information over and over again. Overall, my homebuying experience with Lennar was great. The entire process is very systematic; the portal for buying and underwriting made it easy to track progress every step of the way. Christina was especially wonderful and provided excellent help throughout the underwriting paperwork process. Additionally, the maintenance team has been fantastic. Since moving in, they have been incredibly fast and responsive in taking care of the minor issues I’ve needed fixed. The only significant issue I encountered—which almost led me to cancel my contract on the last day—was a lack of communication from my Lennar agent. When I had concerns regarding construction fixes, she was unresponsive and didn't look into the issues. When I expressed my frustration, her response was simply that I could cancel, rather than researching the problem. Fortunately, the construction manager did the research and discovered that I simply hadn't been copied on the responses and that the work had actually been addressed. It was a disappointing hurdle in an otherwise pleasant process. I would recommend the builder for their efficiency and post-close service, but I hope to see better proactive communication from the sales side in the future. ... More

From start to finish, it was a frustrating process. Underwriting was extremely poor asking for docs that should not have been needed, especially based on my time on my W2 job and my extremely high credit score. The workmanship was subpar. The roof was deemed poor and in need of being replaced by the home inspection done prior to close. Roof still hasn’t been replaced but there were MANY shingles that had to be replaced/secured due to heavy wind storms last month. I don’t even think they put padding under the carpet in the room in the front of the house (could be a dining or sitting room, but we use it as a playroom). Overall, the home seems good, so far, but unsure I would recommend Lennar, or for sure not to do financing through them. ... More

Overall they still provide good value for the price. Our cable company discovered our house has not been wired with coaxial cable at all yet there are Ethernet data ports in the master and LR. Turns out those were never hooked up either and we were directed to put in a ticket. There are always miscellaneous chips and knicks and such so that’s all to be expected. The coaxial issue is major since the cable company had to drill right through our house to wire it and then run cable along a closet baseboard to the AV panel. Absurd.

I truly love the house that I have purchased and am working on settling in. When it comes to sales and, follow up Trey E. did an amazing job of going the extra mile to make sure all was taken care of. He showed up at closing which I found to be personable and professional. At closing there was some confusion when we were told to meet at the title office, and they did not have us on schedule. Then they informed that the signing and notary was to be completely on-line. While in the process we found a mistake with the paperwork not reflecting the full amount of my money down, which would have affected my monthly payment as well as final sale. Fortunately the manager was able to work things out and get new paperwork written up and we were able to proceed. Along with that they were able to have the in person notary stick around for a final signing. Of course, this took longer than expected. An hour and a half meeting turned into an over 3 hour process. My realtor secured the keys the next day as I had to be at work for the next few days. That Sunday I received the keys and went to the house with a lot of unfinished details in my new home. Large debri outside of the house was not picked up, along with some dangerous broken glass and some nails on the ground before the sod came. During the final walk through some of these things were mentioned to Brandon the QC person I believe. Also the windows were not cleaned, film residue and water spots were quite visible on most of the windows. Also the floor did not look it had been cleaned. Carpets were vacuumed and counters were decent but the things listed above were unacceptable. Chris the construction manager was able to address some of these issues after I had shared a few emails. I had shared this with Wes and in the process there seemed to be a delay in action. The main thing I was concerned with the finish was the glass and nails on the ground which would have been dangerous had my son been around during those early days. This is why I mentioned Trey before because he went out of his way on his day off and made the calls to get the ball rolling the issues I wanted addressed. He gets an A+ in my book, though I would not give that type of credit to the others. Chris was helpful in following up with the clean up and dealing with the sod. One other thing I would mention was the quality of finish with the door latch holder in the frame. Some of them seemed to be put in hastily. I made my own adjustments to several of them, though they latch and close properly, their alignment was off. Since moving in I have noticed a few issues with the walls and some paint but I believe they are managable with a little touch up. Very good overall with just a couple of concerns. There was a large dead tree that Lennar planted in our back yard. Before closing I asked for that tree to be examined and straitened. When we moved in I found that I had to straiten up the tree myself but also noticed that the tree still had no leaves. I opened a service request with the HOA but was told that the tree was dormant. The tree is dead and the branches snap off.

The process was great but the only thing that I wish they spent more time with us new home buyers was the welcome package and giving all the info/details on what to setup for payment.

They build a great home but when it comes to finish work that tells everything it should be done perfect but the painters are sloppy and miss lot stuff and the people that put all hardware on doors and cabinets do not predrill wholes just run screws in which cause the stuff to crack and screw not hold I’ve done had to fix couple my cabinet doors cause when I opened them it just dropped cause the screw did not catch

I like my townhome very much. I feel like the checklist before closing was done quickly and issues were band-aided instead of fixed correctly. I think some of the minor finishes could have been upgraded (faucets, toilet lids, towel holders…all very inexpensive). I also don’t think the house was cleaned before I moved in. Overall, though, I really like it!

Our overall experience was very good, there were some issues that were not appropriately resolved without a struggle and that is unfortunate. We really had to work hard to get Lennar to do the right thing with some Warranty repairs.

We had a great experience purchasing our first home with Lennar. We're very happy with the quality received. We had great interactions with every employee we worked with along the way.

The whole buying was just ok it’s after I bought my house that no one want to know me I had several issues spoke to many people in person none of them have been resolved very disappointed And because of this two other families that were interested in looking in here have now gone elsewhere

The process of the purchasing was not bad but a bit tedious. The family like the residence. On the negative side, there is no toilet paper holders, towels racks and medicine press installed in any of the bathrooms. Also in the master bedroom, the closet shelves broke. The sprinkler is not working. I will assume that spending money for a purchase this large, one should expect a better product. On the upside, the closet was fixed.

Lennar home is a good value for the money. Workmanship is decent. Some minor issues but no major complaints.

The buying process was great, very helpful staff, Rebecca is very knowledgeable and helpful, willing to take that extra step! Site management and their to new home owners could use some work. Follow up on issues can be slow or non existent and you feel like you’re a bother. A little TLC from the site manager would go a long way Also suggest with all the new building you have someone doing area clean up of trash at least occasionally. It’s really a mess with building materials and workers trash, food wrappers, water bottles.,,

I love kelly and lennar sales and their managers. They are the best in assisting customers. I had good deals for my last 3 houses. But Lennar mortgage is not customer friendly.

My experience with Lennar was a bit difficult because the person helping me was not bilingual. But those who processed my loan the communicated very well in Spanish except the real estate in Lennar . I’m happy with my new home and I hope I can enjoy it without not problems. Guillermo

This purchase experience is Lennar's second chance at earning our business. The sales experience on our first experience in Elburn, IL caused us to walk away. This second experience was better and enough to get our business. The home we chose has the space to suit our needs. The lot is good. We were able to choose some finishes, but the outside finishes were finalized, or so we thought. We were told that the brick was backordered, and what we were shown was more of a contrast between the siding that what we actually received on the build. When we were asked about the brick that was backordered, we were not given a choice and were told by the sales person that ("We will like what they choose anyway"). This irritated both of us. If we are asked for a choice, then that choice should be respected and delivered. The house was completed on time. The orientation was great. The guy did the orientation is stationed at the neighborhood in Hinckley. He did a great job. On closing day, the manager in charge of the neighborhood where we bought did a great job as well and has been responsive. The advice of both of them has been valuable. We appreciate it. The closing process irritated us. It took us 90 minutes to drive to the title company for a 30 minute closing. This was a waste of our valuable time when closings can be completed virtually. We cannot rate the responsiveness of issues as we have not had any yet (knock on wood). I did receive a threatening letter from Lennar regarding our mortgage in the mail. When I called, I was sent the threatening letter because there was a mistake in closing that affected the home warranty on the house. This angered me as we did not deserve the threatening letter in the first place. The woman who answered the phone attached to the number I was directed to call did not want to hear my dissatisfaction to the threatening letter sent to me because a mistake was made during the closing and quickly ended the call. As far as the house goes, so far so good. I wish the HVAC had a humidifier on it. I wish the windows came with blinds. The house is comfortable, and the space is packaged well. We are looking forward to getting our yard so we are not surrounded by mud. ... More

My experience buying from Lennar was mostly good. The team that assisted me was friendly and quite quick with the process. The house is spacious and beautiful, and it includes appliances such as air conditioning, a stove with an oven, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwave, a water purifier, and an irrigation system for the outdoor plants. The construction materials feel cheap, although they look beautiful. Finally, my experience with Lennar's title company was quite bad. Overall, their service was good and friendly, but they made many mistakes and didn't prepare the documents as both parties had agreed from the beginning. My recommendation is that if you buy from Lennar, choose a different title company. These were the pros and cons I had in my specific experience; other people may have a different experience. ... I have had a very difficult time me window treatments the windows are all out of square. I had to return $5000. dollars worth of custom cut window treatments to Lowe’s due to the windows being out of square, and yes Lowe’s did do the measurements for the blinds. I am meeting with 2 more blind businesses this week, hopefully they can get the blinds made and installed. The back porch ceiling shakes so badly in the wind it sounds like it going to tear away and the outside vent on the stove hood flaps so loud in the wind. I called the project manager about all of these issues and he said everything was installed per the manufacturer plans and the issues are “normal”. Also I think the garage should have been finished in the price of the house. The DR Horton house I live in now had a finished garage, and window treatments installed in the building phase. The street behind the garage is not wide enough. If the across neighbors are parked in their driveway and we can’t use part of their driveway to get into ours we run over the grass. The Sod has issues all around the house, sunken places, spots that are bare. It is embarrassing for me to have these issues in a $500k dollar home. How can all of this be normal? The truth is that it is bad design and poor craftsmanship. I don’t live in the house, it’s a rental investment property and I’m frankly very concerned about complaints that may come and according to the project manager there’s nothing that can be done. From the start, the builder was great to our requests. But I don’t know why there is a concierge! She did nothing really to help. The salesperson was okay and a little helpful. Some of the items we were promised did not happen as far as getting the home ready just prior to closing. Everything pretty much is online; not very personal. Like I said, the best person was the contractor in charge.
