I really am disappointed that I moved in, in March and don't have a lawn yet. People in the townhouses and other houses who moved in after me have lawns ahead of me. People in townhouses don't care about lawns. I hired and paid a lawn edging company and was told final grade would be done on my property last week. We are all waiting.

A house that "Includes EVERYTHING", but doesn't.

Be prepared to "be on your own" , as I was told after I had moved in, papers signed, and asking questions about some very confusing things ( wi-fi, what and where certain things are, including instructions). Good thing this isn't my first house. But, I am in a "learning mode" with special circumstances. I would buy it again, because of the people you "meet" thru the process, which was smooth and painless. No regrets. And survived the "earthquake" with absolutely no damage. The only thing I would change is making the garage bigger and insulate it. Most of the locks, and dead bolts were not ...

Sales Team Issues

Wasn’t too happy with the original sales rep Viet. Took a long time to get things back to us which caused delays in our build. This also pushed us back at the design studio which then we couldn’t pick the exterior colors due to other homes next to us getting there before due to the delay. Wasn’t thrilled about spending over over $400,000 on a new home and not being able to get the brick and siding we wanted. Our new salesman Joe helped move things along but the damage was already done by viet. We also had a flood in our basement not more then a few weeks aafter we moved in due to the pit not ...

I was expecting better quality from Lennard, but they use lower quality of materials, specially the cabinets and closets. I would suggest to reconsider and use higher quality. Just in the first month I had some problems with shower heads, running water on the tub, flicking mater bedroom recessed lights, and kitchen counter top on the big island. still have some problems, fortunately working in progress.

Buying the house was great but after the fact, hasnt been as good as a thought. Job was done very poorly and still to this day, my house is not completed. Workorders take forever to be submitted and contractor takes forever for the appointments to be made. Then, Lennar gets bought out by Century Homes. Not too happy with what’s going on.

Love our new villa. Four months and still no answer on how to clean the stucco off sliding glass door tracks. Seven homeowners unhappy with same problem. Hope this gets a response. Super still trying to find an answer. Should have been fixed immediately.

Lennar responded:

The initial experience with the sales associate was pleasant and he was extremely generous with his time in showing us what we wanted to see. The homes are impressive at first, but lack everyday storage space where needed. After we started the paperwork portion it became somewhat of a nightmare. Everything was done on the computer and it seemed like we had to continually redo everything we signed online. I did receive extensive help from the administrator and he was patient and understanding. I also appreciated the extensive promotions we received and hand holding through the grueling ...

home is fine, quality is pretty good. Not putting in toilet paper holders, towel racks, seems cheap. They should do that. When you spend $500,000 on a property , this should be in. Issue with the floor in the kitchen and with my bathroom floor by the shower as well. Waiting for them to get back to me to fix. I have been waiting.

Purchased home, had the walk thru. Things were needing repairs before we moved in. Was told place would be cleaned and things fixed. 2 things still not done. A back screen door latch was damaged and repaired 2 times. I made the comment of replacing latch. Was not done. I have to pay with latch just to use it to exit lanai. One time I exited the lanai I had to go around to the house for to get in. The next item is I was told the place works be cleaned. It looked clean awe walked in. After cleaning floors myself the are staying on the tiles through out the condo. I still want that looked at.

Overall, my home buying experience was great — the process itself went smoothly, and I felt well-supported throughout the purchase. However, once I moved in, I started noticing several flaws in the house that weren't obvious during the initial walkthroughs. It's clear now that certain shortcuts were taken during construction or finishing, which is disappointing given the price point of the home. Another issue is that I was not provided with the HOA rules at closing. This has caused some confusion after moving in, as I’ve had to learn about restrictions and requirements after the fact, which ...

At the time of purchase everything went smoothly. However, at one time when it looked like our home in southern Oregon was not going to sell, we had thought we would have to cancel the purchase order. Instead of someone from Lennar contacting us to discuss possible options that could secure the house, no one contacted us. The refrigerator and sink are of mediocre quality for the price of the property. It was not an option to have outlets on the island. After moving in there were nails under the carpet, near the door thresholds. After several requests to fix the issues, the response was: ...

Generally everything went well before we moved in. Well, there were issues along the way, but Lennar responded appropriately to them. Lennar told us the internet will be available by Fision provider the day of closing. We were happy about that. We thought if Fision does not work for us, we can change it to At&t right? No, WRONG. Now we have problem with Fision. Called HOA office. HOA office told us we can change it but still we have to pay for Fision too because Lennar has contract with them. What? That is the biggest betray from Lennar. How they can do this to people. This is ...

This is not my first time buying a house with a national builder. I feel the quality of the drywall work in my house was sub-par. Inside corners are not smooth and appear to be a rushed job. There is a giant crack in the ceiling from the middle of the living room to the island. I understand house move and shift but I am hoping this gets fixed at some point. There was also a large chunk of concrete missing from the front porch. This was fixed by just slapping some fill in it which does not look great. Also over time will probably chip out. The builder should have had the porch replaced. I ...

Jordan and Seth both were kind and patient with us. Bring seniors we are not very tech savvy and both of them helped us in that regard. On the construction side, this is the worst paint and grout job I’ve ever seen. I was expecting builder grade paint but the manner in which was applied is awful. When we went to pick up the keys to our home we met Richard, customer care, who said he would be by in a few days. That was the last we saw of him.

I recently purchased an apartment with Lennar and overall, the experience was positive. The process went smoothly, and I appreciate the professionalism of the team during the transaction. However, I do want to mention one concern. I referred a friend, Sherry, who also purchased a property through Lennar. While I was happy to receive the referral commission, unfortunately, it was issued under the wrong company name. Despite a few emails requesting a correction, the matter is still pending. I understand that mistakes happen, but I would appreciate a little more follow-up and support to ...

Workmanship can be sloppy. Pay attention to the details. Confirm what you are told in the selling process. If the development isn't completed take a look at the plans. Lennar seems more concerned with maximizing the number of houses built in a development and not so much about the development of a "community". How do you advertise a "dog park" but have no thought to install dog waste stations? Lol. Hence you will have a dog waste issue on your property. The appliances included are good. The cabinets, flooring, countertops and fixtures were also good. Ceiling lighting is questionable. ...

Going from a custom build where I got to pick every last detail, to this type of a build where I get no choices was hard. We knew what model we wanted, we knew what development we wanted but after that we really didn’t get any choices. Colors, what lot, front patio or not and the timeline; there are zero choices. Also on paper the development looks great. But once you’re in you’ll find the garages are barely big enough for your car, let alone extra space for storage. A full size truck does not fit on the driveway without blocking the sidewalk, so everyone parks at least one car on ...
