Overall, this whole process was a smooth one. Christy was always available and was present in the whole process. she was the best part of this whole process. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with the title company recommended by Lennar (Jacob Tittle). They were very unresponsive to the emails, and they end up not returning me the full amount of money it was agreed in the closing cost. I had to send email and push for weeks in order to receive my full refund. Finally, I would like to point that the builder need to improve the quality of the inside doors I'm not sure why, but all the interior doors have very sharp edges, within a few days of moving in my toddler cut her ankle with one of the edges. I brought this concern since the closing and Lennar only said, "this is how our door are made off, we are aware of this but there is nothing we can do about it" Very unfortunate.... In the end I'm going to have to invest on new interior doors, so my kids don't get injured on our new home. Very disappointing. ... More

It was very nice having such a simple process to purchase a new home, but with no sales center at our community. Our conversation with the sales rep was short and to the point with many details missing. Also, the contract we signed in Docusign was missing the upgrades package for our home. We were also given zero information about our HOA from the sales agent. Gratefully, we had a good mortgage officer and construction manager. Because the did all the heavy lifting in make sure our process was smooth. The closing office forgot to reschedule us or keep us updated on the delays of our home. The construction manager Rob did that for us. The closing officer also didn't let us handle the tape during our walk through. She forced us to tell her what to tape. We ended up buying our own tape and walking through an hour after the initial walkthrough was done. Overall grateful for the help we did receive and the beautiful home for the absolutely wonderful price. ... More

It's difficult to get the house u want if u have a house to sell Also there is entirely too much paperwork. The prices on ur homes changed almost daily, eventually pricing me out of the home I really wanted. Have been very attentive to issues needing repair

The experience was not too bad but there were things we wish were clearer at the time we decided to sign in to buy the townhouse. Initially, the post we saw on Zillow said 100 HOA which we thought it was great. But after signing in we learned that it was going to be 220 HOA plus $99 CDD which was not in the post we saw. And after we purchased we found out the HOA was $270 instead so it's something a little disappointing because we could've been told from the beginning. The townhouse also was supposed to be done by February or March but it took them around 2 more months to get it built and delivered to us. We had to use special financing in order to qualify and also we got incentives for the purchase but all those numbers were pretty confusing and we still don't understand were the incentives went and how the 11k extra that had to be paid for the special financing worked to help. We're very happy with our new home and I believe somehow the incentives helped us but I would rate everything around 3.5 for not being clear enough with us to understand the numbers the way it should be. ... I was not informed when the closing date was until the day of closing, which I chose at the last minute (only 2 days before the final walk-through). Someone dropped the ball here. The Cox internet was not connected; had to have a Cox associate out to connect it, which took him hours because he said nothing was connected. Would have chosen semi-gloss for the whole house instead of flat paint, especially for shelving, which marks severely. Love the high ceilings, the cabinets, the blinds at every window, the master bath, the style and pattern chosen for the pavers.

The whole financial department of Lennar was absolutely horrible, very unorganized, changing fees last minute and adding in costs at closing to where I was almost not able to close.

From the builder and constructions standpoint, it’s great. Happy with the construction quality . But had very difficult with sales person . Slow or no response . misleading/inaccurate information about the prices and few other details about home. One of the examples about price changes that were not communicated to adjust until I fight to get it resolved and also they agreed to release few homes only for investment /rental, but they increased a lot..they didn’t honor they word

My wife and I purchased a Lauderdale style home. The builders were responsive the sellers too. There were the inevitable things in the walk through. Most were addressed but many were not.

Having a new home built can be a frustrating and at times downright an emotional journey. In the past we have bought new from another large national builder. As a direct comparison I feel overall Lennar is a better value and gives you a bit more quality components. Things like Low E Glass, Tile Back Splash, Screened Lanai where other builders did not. Our upgraded gourmet kitchen looks and feels quality. We are glad we took that option. Same with bathrooms With that said, like almost any builder, at least the large ones, quality is all over the board in regards to the specific contractors that are used and Lennars own staff who draw up the actual plans. We have had some funky, issues, doors that dont align properly or better said just not as they should be, horrible cement driveway, electrical outlets and tv outlets in places that make no sense, for example what good was a TV outlet behind the master bedroom door? Then another TV outlet placed outside in the Lanai but missing in the main entertaining room of the house, the family room. A telephone jack that was behind the kitchen tile. The fit and finish on our French doors are far from quality do to messed up installation and painting they remain that way. (we didnt call Lennar on this yet) The bottom line is this stuff should not happen but it does and it does because I feel the pressure is on to get these homes closed ASAP. With that said, believe it or not, the above issues are not deal killers, these things can happen with any new home, after all homes are built one by one and the structure itself is good, just annoying sloppy work and or careless by some contractors and although the construction manager is nice we felt left a little out in the cold. Ok, with all the above said, would I recommend Lennar to a friend? YES WHY? because this stuff happens, the structure is good and HERE IS THE KEY. Lennars warranty people and system are TOP NOTCH. Absolutely fantastic group of people who try like heck to make things right, keeping in mind they are having the same contractors come back to fix their mistakes. Our cement company was the worst but looks like thanks to our warranty person, is looking like it's been taken care of. This is the key, Lennar is there for us after the sale. The warranty experience and follow up I feel puts them at the top of the class with respect to ALL builders. So as much as one might think this is a negative review, it really isnt. We do feel without question things should have been addressed during construction and our construction manager addressed our concerns but feel he knew about others that he kept to himself and also feel he is only there to get things done to only an acceptable level and hope we dont notice other stuff. But let me repeat, none of this matters, because any issues after the sale, you can call direct their warranty dept or actually just scan a QR code with your phone, report the issue and the follow up by the warranty department will knock you off you feet, they are that good. Very nice home- but a lot of fit/ finish issues. Excellent response to fix all of our concerns- often same day. Closing process was poor. Hectic and unorganized. Almost two months late and still do not have gold fortification certificate. Love the home and value- but overall experience needs work. Especially closing process.

Excited to be living in the Heritage Landing Community. It unfortunately took longer than anticipated as we waited 3 extra months to move into condo. I wish there was more communication from Lennar but we had to keep calling for any information which was frustrating. Once we closed on our home we did not receive any information on anything that came with home. There was no follow up on how we were doing or how they can help. I was very disappointed in their welcoming us to community of which there was none!! We had to go to sales office for keys and that was it! After settling in a bit there were a bunch of issues: dishwasher did not work, dryer vent was closed shut so dryer did not dry and a few other items. On a positive note the issues were handled very well. Warranty department contacted us almost immediately and issues have been taking care of quickly. ... More

I moved in 2 months after closing . Home was built in rush so there are many little issue including internet connection with HOA but they are very responsive in resolving all the issues . I have to send multiple tickets but they care and help to resolve the problem .

The initial process was a little bumpy, but we got through it. However, during the second walk through I thought I was racing in the Indianapolis 500. That was the quickest walk through I ever did. Afterwards we learned some things were missing and some things weren't done right and as far as things not done right outside the home, make sure they get done before signing and closing on your home. Otherwise, you are responsible for anything that's not right on the outside of the home. Such as, cracks in the garage floor or chucks of driveway concrete missing, just to name a few. Also, doing the first walk through the Lennar guide did not want to open the attic space. Not quite sure what that was about. If asked if you want to get your own inspector before closing, I suggest you do so. However, this is our second Lennar home and though the house was not perfect it still seems to be a good house. The sales, loan and closing experience was excellent. The inspection has well over a dozen issues open some that were just poor attention to detail on installation. An example here would be a dishwasher installed but insides not assembled installer ran a test and melted parts, Window that you could not open, someone installed it and had to close it but did not fix the fact it took 10lbs of pressure to close. As for the closing document this was a 1031 transfer and lennar sent 35k back to the intermediary post closing rather than reducing the loan. Now I get to pay taxes on the funds returned. When the landscaping was installed (trees) they drilled/dug through the sewage pipe and it backed up into the master bath about 3 inches deep. ... More

We would have given an overall higher score had we not used Lennar Mortgage. The process of securing our mortgage was complicated, confusing and duplicative. On the other hand we love our home and have found Lennar to be very responsive to our questions and to any concerns we may have had.

Although the buyers experience was a little rocky, the responsiveness to issues in the new home have been great! We have had two issues, one with the thermostat and one with baseboard bowing… both were addressed and fixed in very reasonable time frame. Thank you to Ruby and Cody and the rest of the team!

Harry was excellent in the purchase process . Always available and very helpful . The mortgage arm of the company very poor and the rep was not very knowledgeable and a bit misleading Once you start getting emails to sign things etc . this company will NEVER STOP BOTHERING YOU! Even after closing I was getting emails to sign forms . They want to sell not only homes but insurance and lending …. Just stick to home building and selling would be my advice !

Lennar should have never got into Mortgage business they did not have a clue. Their homes are well built and I am happy with my purchase but the mortgage process was extremely stressful and a lot of unnecessary transfer of duplicate documents.

Building process was not what I expected but the service after movein was, and continues to be, amazing.

The sales assistant Sue, the Lennar mortgage representative Nicole and the foreman Tom the were excellent to work with. The sales representative however never responded to our questions after the papers were signed unless he needed something. I am not sure if this is Lennar’s sales process or if it was our sales representative. Either way the process needs to be looked at.

Not having permits for water was uncalled for. Blaming everyone else made it worse. We wanted minor changes we were offered to pay for and sign a contract for(moving outside spigots and additional shelving in closet- both prior to their installation- and told no. Communications were “we don’t know” on every aspect. Now that almost all houses are sold there is mud in the streets, unfinished sidewalks, major common areas just mud, trash on the bridge at the entrance, etc. not impressed with Lennar.

Homes are not accessible to people with disabilities as I was initially told. Had no opportunity to have a shower installed instead of the tub. Made the request but was denied.

This was a cross country move for me so I didn’t see the finished product until after closing. The finish work is mediocre at best. By this I mean that the painting around millwork leaves much to be desired. Shoddy patchwork, mismatched paint on the front door, etc. if I had seen this beforehand I would have flagged this right away.

The walk through would best be done after move in...overwhelming before. Retention of info would make sense after becoming familiar. Front yard landscape is unappealing. Warn new buyers untrustworthy solicitors seeking landscape, concrete jobs.

I think there should be more insulation in the walls or more barrier because I can smell smoke On my first floor and it is unpleasant. Other than that I can’t complain.
