building process was fine, error on closing statement took months to resolve

The homebuying experience has been less than ideal. From putting in an offer on the house being told last minute that I can’t close due to a quote on quote SHA policy until my family member outlined the FHA guidelines did the sales team change their tune. The lender that was referred by Lennar again not great. I asked multiple times during the process for additional review of my good faith estimate, and was told I had to get back with the sales agent who never returned my emails. Chris who is on the construction side has been the only person to follow up and show any type of customer service. I did not close on my loan until November 30 after 10 PM after I demanded a mobile notary to come to my house due to the hick up with Lennar ‘s closing department. I was asked for the same document multiple times causing tons of stress for a newly divorced homeowner. The customer service with Lennar is by far the worst I’ve ever experience. This is my fifth home purchasing and I have never been treated so poorly the day of closing I did not even get the full experience as other homeowners with the red carpet roll out or even the banner and balloons. I notated the condition of my cabinets prior to moving into the house and here we are now at the end of January, and I’m being told my cabinets will not be fixed until May. The paneling of the cabinets are pilling off one of the actual doors is completely off the hinges, broken cabinetry in the kitchen and nothings been done to expedite this. Furthermore, I have not been able to hang up any clothes in my closet as my comply closet is completely broken and that was also outlined prior to closing. My backyard is a complete utter mess with holding water everywhere. I would like to have the great customer service. The idea behind the new Reverie community was well thought out and achieved the goal the design team planned. The build quality is poor as there is not a straight wall in the home. For the dollar to delivered value Lennar was the real winner not the home buyer. Not really sure if it is even possible to purchase less quality materials. An excellent example is the guest bathroom shower stall and tub, a cheap fiberglass job with multiple fractures in the material. If I said you could see daylight from all corners of the front door would you believe me. The real challenge Lennar had with this home build was the quality of its sub contractors. Until Lennar can find and hire true professional teams to build these home they will be plagued by these problems. You will not hear from me again unless the foundation breaks as I have hired a team of contractors to straighten and rebuild this new Lennar home. ... More

I closed on October 28th. I still don't have the certified gold roof paper work for my insurance agent. I still don't have my signed completed paper work from the closing. The home was dusty and not prepared at time of closing. Get this... I'm a real estate agent who build his last 2 homes. I had to buy due to 1031 exchange.

I think Lennar should have a program where then can solely help with First time home buyers who know nothing about the ins and out of purchasing. This Corporation is so big one they could afford to have a program where they assist with first time home buyers step by step starting with any and all that is hidden in the fine print. From a choice of pant color to know whether your Front door opens in or out.

I bought my first house from Lennar. It was a great experience for me and I appreciate everyone included from Lennar in this process. Thank you.

Very disappointed with Lennar and their ability to call back or even acknowledge emails/phone calls/texts. Also with whom they use for the HOA at this time. The construction manager however was very pleasant and forthcoming.

Everything was shiny and painted very pretty in the beginning. Unfortunately that was not the case. My move in date was pushed back multiple times, I was asked to close on the home prior to having the keys to the home. I found many errors during the walk through and was told the errors would be completed prior to my celebration. On celebration day the errors were not completed and I continued to find more defects, and was told to submit warranty tickets. My kitchen is still missing cabinet doors. Lennar gave me the keys to my house knowing the house was not ready and not build to standard. This is an extremely overpriced house and they sell it has if you are getting high-end finished and appliances and that is not the case. Very disappointed and upset. ... More

I am very happy with my townhouse!

Not all staff are qualified for customer service, or dealing with problems. Since they did not solve the problem at the moment. They take a long time to respond

After you close on your home, the warranty repairs never end!! The quality is horrible!

Lennar was on a strict schedule. They had hoped to complete the transaction by the end of November due to quarter closing. On the day of closing several things were not completed but due to Lennars reputation and buying experience I closed despite an uneasy feeling. I wish I had gone with my gut feeling. The warrantee experience has been terrible. We are almost at two months from closing and several things are yet to be address. We have tenants that are not happy as well. I have scheduled multiple appointments after coordinating with tenants that were cancelled without any notice. Why I am going through a warrantee process when the task were never initially completed is beyond me. I would like to more Lennar properties in the future but now I am second thoughts. I will never recommend or purchase another home from this company. These people are a joke unresponsive poor workmanship failure to perform repair, show up without materials. I had to remove my own tub and replace it because they failed to do that. Remove my own cracked tile and replace them, I would never recommend you to build a dog kennel for me or do anyone else

The Lennar Team functioned like a well oiled machine!, It has been a stellar buying experience for me! One of the easiest builds/closings I have ever had after having bought and sold multiple properties over the years! Love my new home and community!

This is our third new home and has definitely been the worst of all three. The craftsmanship and details are lacking. The response from Lennar has been lacking and when they do respond, they say it isn’t covered or need to call another company.

I expected a better quality home

The closing process was a disaster. The house was not complete by the closing. I moved in 2 months ago and still trying to get things fixed that were noticed at the walk through prior to close. I have been disappointed at every step of this process.

This structure withstood a Hurricane with almost no damage. The bid process and buying experience was miserable, but we are happy with our decision.

This is our second time purchasing a new home and I have to say this process was a little more difficult. The lack of communication was the biggest issue for me. We were giving three different completion dates. And now that we are all moved in there are still things that need to be fixed inside the home. Everyday we're finding something that was not complete. I will say these are beautiful homes but you can tell they cut corners on certain things in the home. For instances there are no real towel racks in either of the bathrooms. The shower door does not close all the way. Our refrigerator didn't even have a filter. And you can pretty much tell these homes are rushed in the building process. While we love our new coach home, we were disappointed in the construction. The quality of the work need to be upgraded. Paint sloppiness, busted front door, miter joints off, not cleaned before we moved in. Why install screens if you have to have them replaced with noseeum screens at a 750.00 cost? The staff is very friendly though. I do think they want to make things better.

Home wasn’t ready when promised. Allowed to close without CO. Had to go to hotel. Oven didn’t fit. No kitchen for 3 weeks. Cabinets broken. House was dirty. Floor wasn’t laid level. Bumps and hills throughout. Hollow tiles throughout. Upstairs creeks. Grout not straight and spilled throughout the home. Doors not level. Stairs rails not secured. Grout accidentally used in stead of caulking. Made promises to have things done but almost 8 weeks and punch list still not done. Not even paint. Trades make appointments but never show. If we could get our money back we would move out. No one is happy in our neighborhood. Workmanship is laughable. Trades have stated they are pushed too hard and cant do quality work. NIGHTMARE. ... Very happy with the purchase!

Not sure price to high for the house 2 car garage construction materials to build the house are not perfect, basement very dirty when I moved in and will see what happens next

Quality and workmanship also sub par.
