Home buying experience was mostly okay, but Lennar Mortgage agents were extremely incompetent, and our closing was delayed due to multiple clerical issues with Lennar Mortgage who kept sending paperwork with the wrong amounts owed to us. Also, sales agents are arrogant and rude until you you're in contract, so dealing with anyone at Lennar felt like a chore every-time.

First purchased home ever, I went with Lennar. For the price of this lovely home & the view I get I can’t complain. Simple & nice. Love the modern look of it. Just feels good being in my own home instead of renting. The sales lady who helped me get this home has been amazing. Thank you Jeanna.

When we complained about quality of trim and paint we were told "it's not a custom house". Bad answer!

I have experienced some major issues after moving-in including 1) heater not working due to wrong wire used 2)water flooding the whole first floor and constructional debris found in the pumping 3)water leaks from shower in the main bathroom as glass not sealed at all. I am honestly very disappointed on the quality of the work. The responsiveness to issues are great and I am thankful to that, but I would rather hope the quality can be controlled at first....

I'm happy with the purchase of an inventory home, vs a custom build. I find that Lennar is focused on Tech Homes. I think for 55+ people some may not be ready for the 21st Century home. I like the additives of Ring equipment which I feel is about $1000 worth of products which saved me from getting a new system. The response to new build defects was rapid and man-made defects are expected in a new build.

We got a great loan through lennar but it was a hassle working with them at times. The builder is great. We had an emergency repair that was taken care of immediately. However still waiting on a cosmetic repair. Overall we got what we wanted so we're happy

The quality of our home is less than satisfactory. It seems Lennar chooses to use too many inexperienced craftsmen and ultimately cannot deliver the quality of home you pay for. Finish work is definitely an area where they need to use more experienced craftsmen. Drywall finish, trim, painters, tile and cabinetry installation are all areas that NEED better QC focus, And Caulking cannot be the answer to every crack and crevice. The paint used is just contractor grade and any little bump or touch leaves a mark than cannot be wiped off or out. Nice looking homes and good layout/designs - just wish Lennar would improve the Quality of their work and you got what you paid for. ... More

The mortgage process with Lennar mortgage was very easy and efficient. The actual process after moving in became a nightmare for us dealing with customer service and quality of workmanship. If you sign off on issues that you notice on your walk thru before your closing, you will most likely encounter all sorts of problems trying to get things repaired. Most of our issues have since been resolved after numerous complaints being sent to Lennar.

My home still needed a few weeks of work before, but was still handed over. My recommendation is to do multiple walk throughs beforehand and not sign the pre inspection until everything is fixed. You can tell these homes were really rushed as well as closing dates. This is my 3rd new built home and 3 different builders, Lennar is at the bottom. If I could do it over again I would have been more patient and just stayed in my previous home with other than size had zero issues.

When buying a new home it’s expected that everything is in good shape. With this build it seemed like everything was rushed. A lot of build issues and things that needed to get fixed. Certain things were pointed out and still didn’t get fixed until the second time around. Overall disappointed it’s a new house so I expect things to look good. The cabinetry is very cheap and the overall quality isn’t to good. When you chose lennar your choosing quality and that’s not what I received.

New home buyers should make sure everthing is complete before signing the papers. When they do the final walk thru make sure to inspect everything.

The entire home buying process with Lennar was just one headache after the next. Their sales team cannot communicate anything to you in a timely manner, causing delays and missing out on lots that are for sale. Lennar Mortgage is a joke and a waste of time. I initially was working with them for buying my new home, but they dropped the ball multiple times, gave out our confidential information to the wrong people more than once, and took weeks to respond back to anything causing us to find a new mortgage lender 30 days from closing. The build quality of Lennar is subpar at best...they cut corners on everything they possibly can and refuse to fix issues. The overall quality leaves alot to be desired given the price they are selling houses for. They installed water heaters outside of the houses in the Cooper's Bluff community, and they all froze the first time temperatures dropped...yet Lennar won't warranty frozen/broken pipes or install the insulated pipe covers for the water heaters to prevent frozen pipes. Not one window or door frame are square and nearly every wall is uneven. Overall I would stay away from Lennar at all costs and go with a different builder who actually shows some sort of pride in the product they are producing for people to buy. ... More

Let’s start with the delay in finishing the home because Lennar prioritized homes financed in house, thus causing my interest rate to rise. Then when closing happened the house was no where ready for move in and it was filthy. The dish washer wasn’t even plugged in. We had a crushed sewer pipe, there spots still missing paint almost 2 months later, yard had construction debris in it. The general inattentive attitude and the condescending response from employees, for example the fan in the living room was shaking and squeaking, when we brought this up the electrician he said “well it’s not a Ferrari”. The warranty department is hit or miss, I either get a super attentive assistant or one the takes multiple inquiries to get any movement. I will not be recommending Lennar to anyone that asks. ... At first I was impressed with the spaciousness of my condo. I was please with the value for the money spent. Now as things go wrong and I'm notice and report to Lennar for repairs, I feel that the quality of construction is superb but the quality of the subcontractors leaves much to be desired.

We are a second time buyer with Lennar. The quality of craftsmanship this time around is shockingly bad. The amount of items with have requested for repair is countless and while our representative does have people come out to address them, the folks coming to repair tell us they are not the right person and nothing gets fixed. The floors and stairs are creaky, every baseboard is damaged, our sink is scratched and damaged, there are huge stains in our concrete- it’s just bad craftsmanship.

Response for issues are slow, so many items missed at the time of build.

The only positive I've had throughout my experience is with my Sales Consultant Joe Casinguay. The Construction side of Lennar is Horrible! Communication, Quality of Construction, Integrity, Pride is workmanship from their Trades is nonexistent! My first new construction experience and I will not do it again unless I'm my own General contractor. If you care about buying a quality home and having good communication with the builder, Do Not Buy from Lennar!!!!!!

The workmanship of my new home is very high. The only problem I had was with the sales staff here at University Park (Palm Desert, CA). The Lennar New Home Consultant’s after the sale custom service was less than acceptable. I had to contact her supervisor to voice my displeasure in order to get positive responses back from the NHC. The NHC was not able to assist me with answering basic questions like, what’s the cause of the delay in closing? (I was given the name and number of the Construction Manager and told to call him myself to find out!) On the positive side, the Lennar Mortgage Team was great! Dan and his team made everything easy and painless. Another positive note, Stacey at the design center was extremely helpful in helping me pick out my flooring. Holes and divets were found all over the house in the door frames, flooring ,and baseboards. These were pointed out during our first walk thru andmost were not fixed by the final walk thru. Paint drips were found all over the house.. on floors, walls, and doors. This was not corrected. Wood floor is just planks about an inch thick. Shower heads were cheap looking and there were no towel bars, hooks, or toilet paper holders installed in any bathrooms. Master bath shower and second bathroom should have had decorative tile accent; it did not. We were told they ran out. Very disappointed especially when on our final walk thru a Lennar representative that was present told us that these imperfections should be expected in a new house. For the money we paid for our new home we certainly didn't get our moneys worth considering how much we need to spend to correct all of the imperfections and missing upgrades. ... More

Title people were amazing

Communication is terrible! Condo was not completed on time. Multiple issues. Still waiting on kitchen cabinet hardware almost 2 months after close. Shower door is not what was shown to us in the model. It was installed one month after closing and it was a a cheap replacement. That issue is still on going. We were told we would receive a $2600 rebate for these issues and it still is not resolved i.e. check issued.

The follow-up by the sub-contractors for the minor construction issues was great!

Lennar was great in the beginning answered all of our questions in a timely manner whether through emails or text! Our sales rep Ali was always available to answer any questions we had, and with us being new home buyers she walked us through every stage of the home building process and for that we are grateful. Megan our loan officer was also available and would answer any of our questions in a timely manner.However when it came down to the construction of our home that's when things changed. As our closing date approached we had concerns that our home would not be finished. It indeed was not.We ended up closing with the promise that all of our concerns would be resolved a couple of days after closing and they were not. For example, missing doors on cabinets, lighting in both bathrooms,vanity missing in second bathroom etc. The bottom line is that we would have never of closed knowing all of these items wouldn't be taken care of for weeks after closing. As I write this review their are still issues with the kitchen cabinets.The earliest they can come to fix them is April! Not acceptable! But what choice do we have? ... More

This was a terrible experience.

Getting major issues repaired or replaced has been grueling! The mortgage loan process was equally frustrating and personnel were negligent in either responding on time or did not communicate professionally and sometimes found fault with us. we were forced into a closing where a few major construction items were questionable. We did not receive our final closing document until we were sitting in lawyers office so we delayed transfer of funds for a day and then threatened that we would not get keys for property until wire confirmed. then the next day as money transfer was being processed....which takes a few hours. we had numerous calls and txt wanting to know when wire would be received! Yet on the front side of closing when we needed answers we got very little response or cooperation. We do love our home but the experience for a couple 70 and over buying a new home after 30 years was mostly unpleasant and very tedious. ... More
