So to start, our agent was super helpful. He answered every question he could. He was always available to help. The loan application was painless and the officer was always available to answer questions. They were both top tier. Now to the actual house itself. Over the course of the two months before we moved in, we voiced numerous concerns. Some little finishing work type things (scuffs, chips, leveled doors and cabinets) and some bigger things like water leaks and the quality of the sod placement. We were told that these thing would be finished closer to closing. Fast forward to the week of closing and almost none of the things that we brought up had been fixed yet. And when they finally did fix them it was a very sub par job. I’ll give them credit for building a house. But the devil is in the details. You can tell when they had people that actually knew what they were doing working vs when they didn’t. I asked them to level the sod out before we moved in and they basically just put a band aid on it that lasted about 2 days. It’s obvious that they didn’t install it correctly. I can count on one hand how many right angles they made with the molding in the house. And the caulking lines are absolutely awful. The tile in our shower was left uneven at the top. Who does that. It immediately draws your eye to it. I didn’t mind so much because of a willingness to fix and change what I wanted, but as a professional you should still want to present the best product you can. Whoever came in to check the work that had been done obviously didn’t care about the finished product. The excuse we got for most of it after bringing it up again was that it was “all within acceptable limits for the builders”. Long story short the quality of these pre-fab contractors is no where near what it used to be. it makes me wonder what else in the house was put together to an “acceptable level”. Last thing, the cleaning job they do before you move in is absolutely laughable. They may as well have not even done it. Paint all over the floor and looked dirtier then before they cleaned it. ... Our buying experience hasn’t ended yet. Before we move into our new home we want to get additional work done on it. The interior paint was a flat dull gray on the walls, and the ceilings were a little lighter flat gray. My wife could not live with all that gray flat paint. I mean flat paint is the cheapest paint money can buy. Also, it isn’t practical at all. Get a smudge on it and it’s there to stay! So we got a nice satin paint all around. Now we’re getting more shelving added in all of the bigger closets. Our biggest complaint regarding our Lennar experience is the fact that we had virtually no choices in anything, ie cabinets, countertops, carpet, interior color, exterior color, etc. the only choice we had was which of the floor plans on the few available lots we could get. When we purchase a half million dollar home we expect to have a few more choices. In this bull real estate market, the developers have the luxury of dictating to the buyers instead of the buyers telling them specifically what we want. Guess I’m a little old school for this type of sales and marketing… We do think that our new home is basically sound construction in all the phases. I personally think the quality of construction is better than the other national builders in our area such as, DR Horton, Pulte, Beazer, Dale Webb, etc. We’ve only encountered one problem thus far. Our landscaper could not get the irrigation system to work. He said our grass was distressed and nearly dead because of a lack of water. So we called Lennar, SC MB. We actually got a real person on the phone. I described our irrigation problem to the nice lady and she made a call and got the problem taken care of almost immediately!!! What a pleasant surprise!! The home buying experience went well and was easy. The quality isn't exactly what we expected. There are dents, dings, flaws, and stains throughout. The carpet was placed in the home much too early in the process and was handed over to us with clay stains throughout. Two toilets were covered in urine from the construction workers, and the primary shower was not clean. The house just felt dirty when we moved in. That was disappointing. There hasn't been any follow up with anyone on the team either since escrow closed. This isn't the experience we expected from Lennar. We're hopeful the flaws are only cosmetic. I've been a successful sales person most of my life. My success came from listening to my customers. Lennar's sales force doesn't listen, they give orders. Home inspection is at this time and date be there. Settlement will be at such and such time be there. The times I received didn't work for us. It required two week argument to move them forward 90 minutes. I don't like an ultimatum, Lennar lives by them.

The buying process was fairly smooth. The home itself is beautiful, but definitely disappointed overall in the quality now that I am moved in. Issues arising as time goes on - major one being electrical work. An outlet in the garage was not working right off the bat - it was installed improperly. That was foreshadowing for the electrical issues that have arisen with breakers constantly tripping and lights and fans flickering. I had hopes with new construction that sound from connecting townhomes would be a non issue - but could not have been more wrong. I am confident I know every time my connecting neighbor takes the stairs or has a jam session. Not leaving touch up paint is also a really subpar practice as I now have to spend hundreds of dollars to get a can of touch up paint. Additionally the neighborhood itself is absolutely pitch black at night without a single street light. Overall I would be unlikely to recommend to a friend, aside from appearance. ... More

Lennar made it easy and concise throughout the entire process. Their team kept in touch with me every step of the way. All construction issues were addressed and remedied prior to closing ( nothing major ). Mortgage people were difficult to deal with.

Escrow was a mess. They waited until the day of closing to share that I needed more money to close. I didn’t need a celebration when I did get the keys but it would have been nice that someone from Lennar was there

Usually I don’t do reviews unless it’s really demanding. Here goes my 2 cents Sales Initially it all started off well. I had another rep assigned just before closing as the previous rep left Lennar. And this new rep is rude and arrogant. I’m glad I don’t have to work a lot with the new rep besides some electronic paper work. In fact I never met the new rep. I wonder how someone with this attitude survives in this role. Mortgage This was smooth. As a first time home buyer I had a lot of unknowns and thus confusion. Rio was patient and took time to explain everything in detail and even repeated twice at times. He is a true customer centric person. Closing Let's start with positives, closing manager Jenny is extraordinary. She’s very understanding and a true gold star. Sadly everything except the closing manager(Jenny) is awful. Identified many issues during the walk through. Also gave the list from private inspection and only few were addressed. Some major things were fixed only at 7pm on the closing date which is still an issue today. Unlike other builders there is no closing ceremony. Lately I learnt that actually there were ceremonies for others. May be a bias(?). Closing was moved with very short notice leading to an unnecessary day off from work. I’m kind of forced to close as planned by the business irrespective of issues and even threatened that If I won’t close on time then I have to pay a certain percentage each day of delay. I feel everything was just rushed to meet closing date/targets trading off construction quality and customer experience. Just to understand the seriousness of the quality concern I’ll give a couple of examples. An uneven/non straight wall. Pillars at the front are not built as per the plan and only partially corrected after I noticed & asked. (You may think I’m exaggerating/overreacting but I have email communication for everything I stated above if needed) Warranty This is another disaster. Fixing issues identified during the walk through created another new set. I was promised those will be addressed at the earliest after the close. Yet I’m still here raising tickets and waiting forever for the issues to be fixed. Overall it’s NOT such a great experience. If given a chance I would rethink my decision. ... More

My Agent Penny was wonderful, she helped me find my ideal home that I love. The loan officer was through and made sure I had all paperwork needed. My project manager changed 4 times and I never had anyone to really go over any questions or concerns and a lot about the home was not reviewed with me. The closing day process not only was a stressful one but rushed. The mortgage office did not take the time to review things and explain certain paperwork so I left there clueless. Though that part of my home buying experience was not pleasant everything else was good. I love where I live and the home. The workers need to be better and not leave such a mess and clean the house before closing and make sure all is ready for move in day. ... More

It was way to buy a new home with Lennar. Everything went smoothly and the house was only 7 days behind schedule. The staff is great. I wish I would have paid more attention to the materials, the cabinets, hard surface flooring and window are pretty cheap. The carpet is nice and overall it is fine for the price.

They really don’t put effort in making a home feel “new” there are too many things that need adjusting. There was even some major things. The people who come in to fix the issues don’t show up on time nor do they respect your home and just try to make it look “good enough”. The walls are also way too thin.

The quality of the materials and workmanship very poor.

Lots of repairs needed before and after closing and it took long time to respond to or repair. Flooring installation is poorly made and the front door peephole is made to accommodate a 6+ foot tall person to see from. When asked yo lower for safety was told NO can do.

Lennar is supposed to replace my driveway since it was in horrible condition when I bought it. They have no problem pouring driveways for the new houses across the street but have yet to give me a date when my driveway will be fixed.

Random things in the house were found to not work or not be installed correctly. Electrical outlets not working is very annoying.

Few things in life are as nerve-racking as buying a new place. Exciting but stressful! I must say I was very impressed with my experience with Lennar. My salesperson, Ann, was great and very receptive to all of the questions I fired away. Joe, my loan rep, was also very communicative and quick to respond. And then also a shoutout to Don, the lead for the community building team, as he took me through 2 very thorough walk-throughs and even gave me his # to call with questions once I moved in. So far so good on workmanship and my living experience in my townhouse and great work by the Lennar team. ... More

I love my Lennar home. The community is in a great location. We have access to a big park and the mall is only 8 minutes away. Our area will continue to develop over the next decade and I’m looking forward to the future. For anyone who’s looking to buy a brand new home I would recommend Lennar.

This is the second purchase of a Lennar home for us. Excellent customer service and experience both times.

The quality of the house is very good and everything is beautiful! Best floor plan I’ve seen here in Florida by far!! Nick is very attentive to all my needs!!

Steve was amazing through out this home buying experience. Great all around person! The responsiveness was always prompt. The home has been great and the neighborhood peaceful. Some of the areas around the home have been disheartening. I have glue on the floors in several threshold that won’t come up and scratches on the floor tiles unrelated to moving as no furniture was moved into the bathrooms. Paint imperfections exist throughout the house. I expected better appliances/fixtures for the money paid for the home.

My experience every time I visited the community offices to know the models and the community was always phenomenal, Jamie was very nice and knowledgeable. My experience with Lennar mortgage was average, communication was an issue. When I received the home, Alex was fantastic, kind, empathetic and knowledgeable.

From start to finish Lennar team made the process smooth and transparent. I got a lower rate, better house and all without the haggle of todays bid wars. I m beyond pleased with how he’d the team worked to get me in the house. Now that we are in, we are very happy with the home overall.
