Everyone tended to our concerns and address them

Our experience with getting approved for a Lennar mortgage was very painful and stressful. Some people were very helpful; others were very difficult to deal with, especially with the documents we had to provide. The Lennar descriptions and sources for these were very misleading and unhelpful. Too much time pressure was put on us.

Loan officer Jason was amazing and we’re Extremely happy with his service. Overall, the neighborhood is great however, several items on the house were not completed correctly. Also, very concerned about some of the other items I have brought up…..I have been unable to get a phone call back from Lennar about my concerns. However I would definitely recommend buying from Lennar to my friends and family

I used to think Lennar was the best builder ever! Why? Because they used to install ceiling speakers, cat5 jacks in every room, and not only they Not have that, they have no phone jacks, they decided not to run conduit from the garage to smart box, which the modem is in the garage, and if you want home phone, you need to put it in the garage. They got so cheap they decided to not install the flex conduit and they install the latch on the gate not only upside down but they put it on the outside instead of inside like it’s supposed to, and their excuse? “Oh well, that’s just what was in the plans!” That deserves a 1 star, but I didn’t cuz I still love my home. ... Since I don’t have an any good words about the loan officer(s) that were assigned to me. I will say the managers and underwriting team ans well ans the crew who did walk the through and inspection ,especially the onsite rep who was phenomenal. They made this experience so much better than after the shamockery with loan officers and this played a part in the score and success of a close.

Our customer service relationship manager has been outstanding. Everyone is responsive to our needs. As soon as we report an issue, they rectify it immediately. This is our second Lennar Home and would do it again. We love our home and the community.

First things first - love my home. It meets all my needs and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Lennar delivered what they promised, on time. The reason I took off couple of stars is because of response delays during the home buying process. There were 3+weeks that both my real estate agent and I struggled to get answers and an updated closing estimate from Lennar. On the positive side, once they started working with me (last week before closing), the answers and updates happened quickly and efficiently. For everything else, Lennar did what they said they will do, when they promised it. Frankly, a "will happen in last week before closing" response would have worked better than current experience of asking repeatedly and not getting responses. ... More

The best thing I can say about it is that it is a nice looking house. I assume that because the houses are built quickly it takes a lot to keep up on quality control, but I just feel that you get what you pay for. It really feels like a nice starter home but not what I was hoping for in terms of quality. I understand that they have to save money to sell at the price point they are trying to keep but some things really feel cheap. The Home buying process is not like any other builder I have worked with. There is no flexibility or understanding from the company at all. It's their way or no way. This makes it difficult for someone selling one house and buying a Lennar house. It might be great for a first time home buyer, or someone looking for a retirement home. I recently bought a house from Lennar, and overall, the experience has been a mix of positives and negatives. I dealt with the new home consultant directly to purchase the home at Lennar wellness way. However realized that having a realtor would have made much more sense closer to the closing. The final inspection was not done correctly and there were many items left out that needed fixing. For example, one of the cabinet doors was not even painted. There were lot of paint marks on the floor in the living room. when my tenant moved in he found nails in the carpet while vacuuming and thankfully his kids did not step on them. I do like the way Lennar has built the website where all details of the lots available. I would love Lennar to take one step further to make the closing process more friendlier. I would not want to have a seperate real estate agent and pay them to do the chores while Lennar already pays for New Home consultants. It would be worth while to have them help the buyers. Also, please ensure that last mile (cleaning, making sure all items are fixed, inspection etc) are accurate. ... More

Employees were polite, but communication was subpar. In addition, workmanship quality was not top notch.

The support services offered by Lennar through myLennar were not available to me and should not have been offered. We do like the unit and have been busy making it our own. However, as we settle in, I find the workmanship less than expected for a $260K home. Materials are not highest quality (patio door is too heavy to open and does not lock), and painting was obviously rushed. Concrete patio is small and interior of garage could easily have been painted before moving in. These simple and relatively inexpensive "touches" would really elevate your finished product.

Too much paper work and nonstop emails and letters coming from too many people and agencies that have caused me to miss deadlines and important issues. The Lennar people working with me have been Great and have responded quickly and generously. But the whole Lennar purchase Process sucked for me. I have bought 5 homes over the years and this was the worst experience ever. It didn't have to be that way. I hope it was better for others. The HOA paperwork was a surprise, I was told the HOA was just for the upkeep of the children's playground. (Not True). So what is that called? I wasn't given HOA paperwork until weeks after we moved in. A Big Plus--I finally was given weeks later that there is a list of people to fix issues with the house. The whole buying is experience was good until Damon the salesperson got involved and was arrogant and unprofessional. Soured the whole good experience.

We had a good feeling when we saw the listing for the new Fieldview community. We went right over and met Gregg. He was so helpful and understanding with what we were looking for. We loved the house so much, we put a deposit down that same day. Liz, the construction manager, was outstanding! She did the walk thru with us. She was very knowledgeable about the water heater and other things in the house that I wasn't familiar with. She made everything about this buying experience, great! Only disappointing part of our experience with Lennar, was their financial department. We had trouble having someone return calls which delayed our lock in interest rates. I had issues contacting the seller about anything at any point and responsiveness was not good on the financing side. Our closing date was pushed back without any reason and without any heads-up. Builder was great and we love the house.

The experience was not too bad but there were things we wish were clearer at the time we decided to sign in to buy the townhouse. Initially, the post we saw on Zillow said 100 HOA which we thought it was great. But after signing in we learned that it was going to be 220 HOA plus $99 CDD which was not in the post we saw. And after we purchased we found out the HOA was $270 instead so it's something a little disappointing because we could've been told from the beginning. The townhouse also was supposed to be done by February or March but it took them around 2 more months to get it built and delivered to us. We had to use special financing in order to qualify and also we got incentives for the purchase but all those numbers were pretty confusing and we still don't understand were the incentives went and how the 11k extra that had to be paid for the special financing worked to help. We're very happy with our new home and I believe somehow the incentives helped us but I would rate everything around 3.5 for not being clear enough with us to understand the numbers the way it should be. ... The whole financial department of Lennar was absolutely horrible, very unorganized, changing fees last minute and adding in costs at closing to where I was almost not able to close.

Having a new home built can be a frustrating and at times downright an emotional journey. In the past we have bought new from another large national builder. As a direct comparison I feel overall Lennar is a better value and gives you a bit more quality components. Things like Low E Glass, Tile Back Splash, Screened Lanai where other builders did not. Our upgraded gourmet kitchen looks and feels quality. We are glad we took that option. Same with bathrooms With that said, like almost any builder, at least the large ones, quality is all over the board in regards to the specific contractors that are used and Lennars own staff who draw up the actual plans. We have had some funky, issues, doors that dont align properly or better said just not as they should be, horrible cement driveway, electrical outlets and tv outlets in places that make no sense, for example what good was a TV outlet behind the master bedroom door? Then another TV outlet placed outside in the Lanai but missing in the main entertaining room of the house, the family room. A telephone jack that was behind the kitchen tile. The fit and finish on our French doors are far from quality do to messed up installation and painting they remain that way. (we didnt call Lennar on this yet) The bottom line is this stuff should not happen but it does and it does because I feel the pressure is on to get these homes closed ASAP. With that said, believe it or not, the above issues are not deal killers, these things can happen with any new home, after all homes are built one by one and the structure itself is good, just annoying sloppy work and or careless by some contractors and although the construction manager is nice we felt left a little out in the cold. Ok, with all the above said, would I recommend Lennar to a friend? YES WHY? because this stuff happens, the structure is good and HERE IS THE KEY. Lennars warranty people and system are TOP NOTCH. Absolutely fantastic group of people who try like heck to make things right, keeping in mind they are having the same contractors come back to fix their mistakes. Our cement company was the worst but looks like thanks to our warranty person, is looking like it's been taken care of. This is the key, Lennar is there for us after the sale. The warranty experience and follow up I feel puts them at the top of the class with respect to ALL builders. So as much as one might think this is a negative review, it really isnt. We do feel without question things should have been addressed during construction and our construction manager addressed our concerns but feel he knew about others that he kept to himself and also feel he is only there to get things done to only an acceptable level and hope we dont notice other stuff. But let me repeat, none of this matters, because any issues after the sale, you can call direct their warranty dept or actually just scan a QR code with your phone, report the issue and the follow up by the warranty department will knock you off you feet, they are that good. Very nice home- but a lot of fit/ finish issues. Excellent response to fix all of our concerns- often same day. Closing process was poor. Hectic and unorganized. Almost two months late and still do not have gold fortification certificate. Love the home and value- but overall experience needs work. Especially closing process.

Our sales person Kacey was amazing. She communicated with me and was just short of being our loan officer as well because I could not get any communication during the loan process. Communication with our loan officer was little to none. He would not answer or return phone calls and the only emails he would respond to were the ones our sales person confronted him on. What even more frustrating is when we reached out to our loan officer to lock in our internet rate we got no response and then the interest rates went up. Super frustrating. Luckily the last 3 weeks before we closed on our home we got a new loan officer who was super helpful and took up the slack from the old officer but too little too late I guess when it comes to locking in the lower internet rate. The house is great with the exception of the trim around the doors. The trim around the doors is all cut a half inch above the ground and the caulk isn’t put in well enough to hide it. Overall good experience due to all this Covid situation.

The only issues I had with the complete experience was with the mortgage people and their under writers. The mortgage staff were not that responsive and could have cost me a lot extra money by not paying attention to the market and how the interest rate was going up. I would hope that their job was to help people get the best rate and to watch what was happening and advise the buyer to lock in sooner then they did. The sales team and all the construction managers who work on the site have been excellent and are a pleasure to work with.

Overall we are very pleased with our new home. COVID-related issues caused delays and unexpected changes but I don’t fault Lennar for those. The home is well built. External issues should have been avoided. Our home is on a cul de sac and was positioned such that the driveway has to be curved. The issue is complicated because utilities and a street light are located adjacent to the driveway. Lennar is working with the county to improve access, but this should have been addressed long before closing. The same issue affects other nearby homes on our street and the next street with a cul de sac.

Overall I’m happy I went with lennar, trying to work with lennar mortgage was a complete nightmare. So I ended up going with a different mortgage company.
