Will not recommend Lennar to anyone

the team - sales agent and the construction managers made it sound like i am buying a candy at a candy store. they forced me to close without proper completion of the house just to meet their deadline. they even threatened me that they will hike the interest rate from lennar mortgage if i dont agree on what i say...we do have 4 other houses and never ever we had such a bad experience. lennar is disgusting

Lennar delivered a solid home within the time frame expected. We were very happy with the interior finishes as well as the landscaping. Our construction supervisor, sales representative and the legal/closing team were all terrific with communication throughout the process and after the closing. We have had a couple of minor warranty issues that were taken care of right away. Would definitely purchase another Lennar home if we were to relocate.

Heather with Lennar Mortgage was amazing, experienced and we were lucky to have her on the financing end of the purchase. The home is built beautifully, quality workmanship for a home that is built en-mass. The walk-thru staff member does not have me feeling happy however as it was quick, too much detail while closing is still occurring, poor communicator, and too quick to get buyers and their issues with the home off of his task list, asking you to docu-sign work not yet completed. Otherwise, the process of filing issues thru MyLennar needing to be addressed after move-in has been wonderful. Phil has been wonderful to deal with. Our salesman was excellent. Great guidance and quick to respond to all questions and concerns, if any. Field representatives also rate high with honesty and excellent response time.

I closed on a house in a Lennar community 6 months ago. The building process was ridiculously stressful. Zac, the building manager over my home, was hard to communicate with, did not follow through on requests, left my build sitting with unfixed issues for months. Even untouched the week between my initial walkthrough and my final one. I ended up coming to my FINAL walkthrough, with several trades people actively working to fix problems WHILE I WAS WALKING THROUGH. I was asked to give them a couple of hours and come back to walk again. Zac’s lack of attention to issues, left me dealing with NUMEROUS warranty issues from the moment I moved into the home. Brooklyn, our warranty contact, has been helpful and responsive. However, the companies that Lennar are contracted with are horrendous at following through on their trades. The companies either don’t show up when scheduled, or don’t repair things as expected. Now, something that our community was promised as an incentive for living in our neighborhood (4 season-passes to the water park next door, annually) because we don’t have any pool amenities, the HOA is saying is not correct information. Why are the sales people promising buyers something if the HOA for our neighborhood is not backing that information? None of this even touches the issues I encountered with the incompetent mortgage team. Lost files, incorrect numbers, missing credits, TERRIBLE communication, and a whole slew of other problems. At this point I cannot, in good conscience, recommend LENNAR to anyone. This company seems to revolve on words of smoke and mirrors. What a terrible way to do business. ... More

I think the overall quality is poor, have had to have flooring repaired three times. Now we need to have the grouting re done and have only been in the house 2 months. The tree that was planted outside our house is dead. It was in poor condition when planted.

We had a wonderful sales, mortgage and title experience with Lennar. But once we moved in there are sooooo many issues inside of our house. EX: Dishwasher broke after 3 days and we've been moved in now 2 months and still not addressed. Tile has spots on it throughout the entire house, pavers are pulling away from front porch and I could go on and on. Tried to contact their customer support person for our community and doesn't return calls without calling their manager but still NO issues resolved. Communication goes such a long way - even if it's going to take awhile, I want to know someone is listening and cares that we are new homeowners with them. I never had a brand new home before and honestly expected to have everything be perfect. What a complete disappointment in follow up. But we do love our new home! ... More

Bought my first home with Lennar. Every think went very smoothly and I would highly recommend getting your own inspection done on the home. There were a lot of problems with the roof. The house was everything we asked for and it cost me almost no money for closing costs. Only thing is they forgot to do a final inspection. I was notified once I moved in that they will need to enter my home and take pictures to do the final inspection. We were unable to schedule a date due to me being out side the state at the time so no final inspection for me ?!?!. Also mail boxes take a while get put in we were the first house on the block and we will be mailbox free for 3 months. ... More

Overall we had a good buying experience. The home consultants were very friendly as well as the builders and their staff. Everyone was very responsive when we reached out for any issues before and when we initially moved in. I only wish that we had the option to pay for add on’s such as a deck or porch or basement.

Overall, nice home and amenities in Millbridge. Finish work could use improvement with more options for kitchen cabinets.

Matt was very friendly, helpful and responsive throughout the entire purchase process. He's continued to help us to resolve issues after the closing as there have been several uninstalled and incomplete items to be fixed. The overall experience with our Lennar home is mixed. The basic structure, exterior and pool area is excellent. However, the interior building materials, accessories, and appliances are low quality. Some examples of poor workmanship include: 1) ceilings painted with primer only, 2) miss-wired electrical outlets, 3) bathroom towel bars and paper holders literally hanging off the wall and holes in the wallboard from botched installation, 4) Missing doors, 5) missing mirrors, 6) missing base board trim, 7) missing cabinet toe kicks, 8) oven installed with large gap between it and the cabinet--pushed into the cabinet and crooked. We were told all the above items would be resolved prior to close; that did not happen. All items have fallen into the warranty process which can take months to resolve. In fairness, some items have been repaired, but many have not including the oven, missing door and toe kicks which are scheduled to be installed in Feb, 2023. Not acceptable. ... More

Read everything that is given to you. Ask plenty of questions before you decide to buy. The walk in initial experience was awesome. The realtor was amazing. However, the most stressful time was the closing. The process was very confusing, stressful and extremely hard to get answers when you need them.

I went into the first time homebuilding experience with an open mind and trust that what I was told I was getting in my new home was true. Turns out that some pretty important things that I expected to have in my home were taken away without Lennar telling me. They took both bath tubs out of my house and was told that it is a 55+ community and elderly people don’t want bath tubs…well I’m 60 I’m not elderly and elderly people have grandchildren and dogs to bathe then I come to find out that the models with three bathrooms have at least 1 tub in their house! This was extremely upsetting for me..also was assured that I had arches in my house as well..one day I all of a sudden had NO arches the arches were part of the reason I loved the Princeton model…they also took away access to pendant lights above my island…they lied to me and didn’t bat an eyelash I was told that they have a team of lawyers that will negate any of my complaints that I simply can not win if I pursued any of it. The best part of the entire experience was working with my super Dave he was great from start to finish always available easy to talk to and made sure the rest of the build went smoothly…..I’m still upset about not having a bathtub!! ... trouble with multiple areas of purchasing this home. Still waiting for some warranty issues to be fixed after weeks of communicating and waiting. Communication is not the greatest. Overall, it’s a beautiful home. We are grateful overall. But there have been multiple issues.

The Builder needs to slow down and get the home’s completed with more time spent on Quality. Standard building practices like installing gutters Having a new Home With a microwave vented by a filter internally makes no sense whatsoever when it can simply vented out the wall. These are just two samples of what we now have to pay for which should be standard features. Concrete workmanship very poor. Fresh air ventilation and damper was never connected. Do it right the first time.

Time frame almost 14 months from signing contract to closing was much too long for basic cookie cutter house. We were first to choose lot in section open for sales, however most of our neighbors closed and moved in before us.

The sales team is amazing always willing to go above and beyond to help. Shoutout to Ryan. In addition, the help with all questions have been outstanding. Well done to the team in Citrine - San Diego - class act.

Closing delayed three times because house was not ready for occupancy. Punch list items promised were not completed. Still do not have water hook up to refrigerator two months after closing. Poor workmanship and no follow through on quality of work by construction superintendent. Disconnect in communication between sales team and construction team. Given our experience, would not buy another Lennar home.

Location of home and floor plan well liked and met our needs. Quality and workmanship was disappointing and expected better. The people at Lennar were responsive and worked to address a few issues encountered and made things right. We had higher standards than the contractors used for some of the work performed, but do understand supply and resource shortages played a major role into some of the problems. All builders are experiencing this problem. Overall, we like the home and satisfied with resolutions.

We're previously owned a Lennar home in Southern California. Pride was very apparent in the quality and workmanship provided in our Southern California home. However, here in Fayetteville, Georgia we're very disappointed regarding the workmanship in the home. Every time I think about the cost of the high cost of home and the cheap paint, the sloppy unfinished sealing in the molding, the visible cracks in the corners and cracks in the crown molding; as well as the floating tiles in the floor which crackle when you step on them makes me sick to my stomach. We've purchased 5 new homes in our lifetime and never experienced such sloppy work that this home offers. The location of the home and floor plan is very attractive, however the home lacks pride and quality in the workmanship. We feel stuck with a $420,000 mess we have to fix. I can't have my family or friends over until this home meets the quality we're use to. Also we've been trying to install a screen around the back patio. We've submitted two ARC (October & November 2022) and left several messages for CMA to contact us, no return call has been received however our HOA is submitted as expected each month. ... More

Poor plumbing installation with 2 showers leaking on Day 1. Windows on first floor breaking after 1 month, cause uncertain. Bad experience with blinds/shutter installation from the Design Center vendor.

They were really helpful in person but communication online was rough and the house workmanship had a lot of issues
