I feel that for the price, we should have had some say into what was going into our house and our landscaping. Our model should have had a patio. We should have had a say into what was planted in our yards, so it doesn't look like all other yards. We have had issues getting things fixed. The sales and loan staff were great, but once we moved in, it seems that the construction staff ignore you. The "fixes" seem to make the issue worse and are not finished.

Although I really like the design of the home that was built, I have lots of comments regarding the quality of the products that were used. The quality of the products used were sub-standard. For example, the air handler has the lowest quality rating and is extremely loud. The kitchen cabinets are not designed for maximum use. Many features missing such as shelves. We hear the noise of our neighbors above us and the floors vibrate when the walk. You could do better with the sound barriers. As a recommendation I would be willing to pay more for a higher quality of products and finishes. It feels like the price you set boxed you in the corner for giving a lower quality product. ... More

Very few hiccups but they were seen to on the spot so far. Staff great and very helpful.

There are several things that I feel like could have made our experience in building with Lennar so much better and wouldn’t in my opinion have been all that hard to accommodate. For instance we weren’t allowed to change anything about the options in the house and they hadn’t even broke ground yet. We asked to be given color options for the exterior color and was denied even a set option of colors, we were denied being able to add a few outlets in the pantry, we were denied option of what type of paint(instead of using the garbage flat paint). The reason was they already had everything set so no changes could be met. But when they changed the hallway closet to be much smaller than the closet in the model well they could tell me why it was different(which took away about 3 feet of depth in the hallway closet). Our sod was dead when we moved in but I will give them praise because they did make that right and with a pretty quick turnaround time. But we also have common are and an easement that I have been trying to get fixed for some time now with no luck. Few items that were not working when I moved: 1) Water heater: I lived without hot water for 10 days. Water heater has been replaced. 2) Air conditioning: One of the A/C was not working. Tech came in and replaced the parts and good now. 3) Cracked basement: Even though new construction, basement has a 7 feet cracked before I moved. 4) Water leaking: When they started sprinkle, water leaked from pipe and still leaking. means Lennar used very cheap material. 5) Siding wood already started peeling and curved. 6) Already started peeling the paint several areas. 7) 3 areas windows glass are going to replace b/c of poor quality and not meet basic requirements. My final conclusion: Used cheaper material, so don't recommend buying Lennar house to my family and friends. ... More

The home buying process wasn't too bad, but there was always a sense of urgency to do something because of the Lennar representatives. It was almost like we were pressured into buying in less than a month. There after moving in, there were a couple things missing from the home. It wasn't until almost 3 weeks after moving in someone brought what was needed. A service request needed to be submitted and a video call required, but there was no need for it. The Lennar home came with "Smart Home" features, but there was not a single Lennar rep that stopped by or would help. When signing there was multiple errors, and no one was able to provide a definite down payment amount. Besides that particular experience, everything went smoothly and I was able to apply a pretty good deal on the home which was the ultimate reason for the purchase. I would buy a Lennar again, but would definitely keep a list of things to keep my eyes on to make sure they are fulfilled before closing. ... More

Overall experience was good. Like the villa. Some attention to detail a little lax,

The quality of the work is good, except there are a few issues that I contacted but never got resolved.

The process was fine except for the closing date being pushed so many times i almost lost hope. But that kind of thing is expected.

Would have liked to have had more flexibility in making minor changes.

Not very impressed with handoff and everything being done by barcode reader.

This may summarize the overall experience; 15 minutes on my way to closing, I got a call stating "not to arrive to the office because they were not ready for us yet"... I was told by the lady who showed us the house that the solar system was included with the house (which was not) and eventually cost us is a bit over $5,000 from incentives that we couldn't get because the lack of information between all involved during the sale who failed to guide us, even though that we explicitly stated several times our willingness to purchase the solar system. We could have easily stepped down from the sale or at least held it but because we were from out state and we really wanted the house, we decided to bite the bullet. Among many construction deficiencies, we are still not happy with the pavers repairs, even though that most were replaced, they all look like if they were bought second hand and still (as of today May 2. 2023) "all" look stained, not even one look new... some have foot paint and I was told, for me to remove it with "warm water and scrub", which I tried with no avail. I got like more than 50 calls asking for silly bank transactions... most of the repairs have been completed but it's a new house and it shouldn't have as many faults as it had/has.... Too many people involved that did not know or communicate with each other. It should be one centralized point of contact thus to avoid any conflicting information. We purchased for our elderly parents so they could be close to a pool and work out area. From what i understand, the pool area will never be complete. How could you sell these condos to people expecting a life style they cannot live. Especially the elderly. The ring had to be replaced and now we find the back door does not lock so they leave it open. i am sure this will not get published.

My new home consultant and construction manager (Patricia and Doug) were extremely helpful during the whole process. They both were exceptional in their service and for that I am very grateful and pleased. However, Lennar's workmanship is lacking and their lack of flexibility in customizing certain items in the home is frustrating and disappointing. Also, some of the materials used in the home are of poor quality. On a brighter note, their Customer Care Service Team is extremely responsive and helpful!

Well let’s start with the deception of the sales team or shall I say Abby. She speaks very condescending, she gives false information and misrepresents what you’re purchasing. Then tells you when she gets called out on it “just cancel the transaction then.” Her management doesn’t hold her accountable and they don’t even respond to complaints or concerns so there’s no wonder why she gets away with having poor ethics. I have all this in email correspondence to back this up as well. She is very unprofessional and it doesn’t matter because it seems like a company problem. When we did our walk through the first time we found tons of problems. We were told it was a 3 hour long appointment but we felt rushed and were there for 2 and he apparently was filling in for someone else. Half way through my walk through I asked if we were being picky he said no but about 30 minutes later when we noticed the door frame wasn’t painted and window was crooked he then said “ we’ll you are being a bit picky.” For a crooked window? Our sales rep and the lender have been the two pleasant experiences we’ve had. Both very responsive and very professional. The issues we ran into are being addressed thankfully. But would I purchase Lennar again. Ask me in a year because the buying process with lies and the headaches we ran into this far I would advise others not to. ... More

As a woman buying a house, I felt the salesmen were more comfortable communicating to the man. Have we not evolved. Women have jobs. They make $$$$. Lennar could work on this area. Be bold. Lead the way to treating all people as humans with $$$$$.

Be careful what you sign up for.No flexibility on Lennars part.The home was well built.They tell you they will fix any thing but it’s at their time line.Love the area.No flexibility on when they will finish the house.If its beneficial to them,that’s when you have to close.The toughest part of the whole process was working with the lennar mortgage company. A nightmare. Otherwise,we’re happy we bought this home.

We moved in just under 2-month, and have already found multiple issues related to the quality of workmanship.

I've been a successful sales person most of my life. My success came from listening to my customers. Lennar's sales force doesn't listen, they give orders. Home inspection is at this time and date be there. Settlement will be at such and such time be there. The times I received didn't work for us. It required two week argument to move them forward 90 minutes. I don't like an ultimatum, Lennar lives by them.

Kristen was extremely helpful and informative throughout the home buying process. She did everything she could in which her job role allowed. It was a pleasure working with her. On the other hand, Lennar (Corporate) was not considerate at all in accommodating to a closing date that worked best for me, unless additional money was added to the transaction. There are still some items inside and outside the house that were noted and marked before and during the walk through as items to be fixed that were ignored and have not been fixed as of 4/2/23. I am also still waiting for the land developer to find a solution to the water that puddles during rainfall at the border of the rear fence line and side yard as there is no system in place for the water to drain. ... The house is very basic, for my living situation this house is OK. The workmanship seems to get the work done ,but quickly. The house is an inexpensive house and you get what you pay for. The community is very pleasant and I am one of the first to move in to my area, but I really like it so far. My biggest complaint is the entrance and exit to my community, we need a traffic light. It takes just as long to get in and out as it does to get were you want to go.

The loan process was frustrating. They asked for paperwork the Friday before Christmas, I couldn’t get so my closing date got pushed. Then at the last minute they said they didn’t need it and set a closing date without checking with me. The title people were great and went out of their way to meet me and give me keys over the Holiday weekend. The house was not been cleaned before I moved in. Try to get things fixed is long process. It normally takes me 4-5 calls to get something resolved. It doesn’t look like a lot of pride was put into building the house. It was just put up fast and onto the next one. I get they are basic cookie cutter houses, but still… It would be nice if they would clean up the trash in the area so it doesn’t blow into the yards. Lennar sold our house to us and then sold the loan without letting us know until several days after the sale. They keep communicating with us even though we no longer have a business relationship.

The process was difficult due to being out of state. Accommodations were made to allow for signing because of our situation in MICHIGAN because of my shoulder surgery and having to live in separate housing to accommodate my recovery and have a place for our dogs. Overall we got it done and everyone was accommodating. As for the house, we were very disappointed with the finishes in the home. Due to my surgery, I was not able to attend the walk thru, my son attended instead. Painting quality was poor. Door casing that were cut too short and not caulked, chips on door cases, paint drops, edge of doors not sanded smooth, loose door handles, many caulking misses around windows and sills, loose rail on stairway, it is very apparent that trim was not sanded, drywall dust was not removed before painting, carpet upstairs was pieced in several places and seams are very noticeable, and overall the house was not cleaned and ready for move in when we arrived. Drywall dust and paint drips on the floor, drywall dust on tops of tile in bathroom, had to scrub kitchen backsplash as grout had not been washed off completely, cupboards had to be washed, window sills and windows were dirty, leaves and debris in screened porch and garage taping is horrible. I’ll be putting in several warranty concerns as we are finding and taking pictures of all the areas that should be addressed. The home itself is well constructed, but finishing in the house was below the standard that should be expected. The walk thru just did not allow my son the time needed to do a thorough inspection. As I said as we have moved from room to room unpacking and settling that is when you can see the issues. Cleaning uncovered issues as well as we had to thoroughly clean every room as we moved in and before we felt we could place furniture. Interior finishing and final cleaning seemed to show a lack of concern and pride in the work being completed. I painted part time for a contractor and then on my own for years while teaching school for extra income. What I have seen in the finishing here would never have passed our supervisors inspection. It will be a wonderful home once we have everything settled, warranty work completed and pretty much a repaint completed over the next months. As I stated, I am taking pictures of all areas and will be sharing them as warranty claims are filed. I would be more than happy to walk one of your project managers thru and point out all the areas they should be noting and having corrected before move in. Thank you for providing the opportunity to share my concerns. Everyone has been very nice and they have been quick to answer questions and help find solutions. Employees did the best they could under completion pressure at year end. Magnified by hurricane and materials shortages. Recommend a customer service department independent of other departments for quality control of closing issues. I do not see any evidence of a local customer service department. Again, it's not the employees, its the large number of closings without a customer service department to handle preparation for a successful walkthrough at closing. Cost is minimal for change as other departments could focus on their priorities. Amazing how much goes into making such an great community just to allow low final customer service impressions at the end. ... More
