I feel that for the price, we should have had some say into what was going into our house and our landscaping. Our model should have had a patio. We should have had a say into what was planted in our yards, so it doesn't look like all other yards. We have had issues getting things fixed. The sales and loan staff were great, but once we moved in, it seems that the construction staff ignore you. The "fixes" seem to make the issue worse and are not finished.

Although I really like the design of the home that was built, I have lots of comments regarding the quality of the products that were used. The quality of the products used were sub-standard. For example, the air handler has the lowest quality rating and is extremely loud. The kitchen cabinets are not designed for maximum use. Many features missing such as shelves. We hear the noise of our neighbors above us and the floors vibrate when the walk. You could do better with the sound barriers. As a recommendation I would be willing to pay more for a higher quality of products and finishes. ...

There are several things that I feel like could have made our experience in building with Lennar so much better and wouldn’t in my opinion have been all that hard to accommodate. For instance we weren’t allowed to change anything about the options in the house and they hadn’t even broke ground yet. We asked to be given color options for the exterior color and was denied even a set option of colors, we were denied being able to add a few outlets in the pantry, we were denied option of what type of paint(instead of using the garbage flat paint). Few items that were not working when I moved: 1) Water heater: I lived without hot water for 10 days. Water heater has been replaced. 2) Air conditioning: One of the A/C was not working. The home buying process wasn't too bad, but there was always a sense of urgency to do something because of the Lennar representatives. It was almost like we were pressured into buying in less than a month. There after moving in, there were a couple things missing from the home. It wasn't until almost 3 weeks after moving in someone brought what was needed. A service request needed to be submitted and a video call required, but there was no need for it. This may summarize the overall experience; 15 minutes on my way to closing, I got a call stating "not to arrive to the office because they were not ready for us yet"... I was told by the lady who showed us the house that the solar system was included with the house (which was not) and eventually cost us is a bit over $5,000 from incentives that we couldn't get because the lack of information between all involved during the sale who failed to guide us, even though that we explicitly stated several times our willingness to purchase the solar system. We purchased for our elderly parents so they could be close to a pool and work out area. From what i understand, the pool area will never be complete. How could you sell these condos to people expecting a life style they cannot live. Especially the elderly. The ring had to be replaced and now we find the back door does not lock so they leave it open. i am sure this will not get published.

My new home consultant and construction manager (Patricia and Doug) were extremely helpful during the whole process. They both were exceptional in their service and for that I am very grateful and pleased. However, Lennar's workmanship is lacking and their lack of flexibility in customizing certain items in the home is frustrating and disappointing. Also, some of the materials used in the home are of poor quality. On a brighter note, their Customer Care Service Team is extremely responsive and helpful!

Well let’s start with the deception of the sales team or shall I say Abby. She speaks very condescending, she gives false information and misrepresents what you’re purchasing. Then tells you when she gets called out on it “just cancel the transaction then.” Her management doesn’t hold her accountable and they don’t even respond to complaints or concerns so there’s no wonder why she gets away with having poor ethics. As a woman buying a house, I felt the salesmen were more comfortable communicating to the man. Have we not evolved. Women have jobs. They make $$$$. Lennar could work on this area. Be bold. Lead the way to treating all people as humans with $$$$$.

Be careful what you sign up for.No flexibility on Lennars part.The home was well built.They tell you they will fix any thing but it’s at their time line.Love the area.No flexibility on when they will finish the house.If its beneficial to them,that’s when you have to close.The toughest part of the whole process was working with the lennar mortgage company. A nightmare. Otherwise,we’re happy we bought this home.

I've been a successful sales person most of my life. My success came from listening to my customers. Lennar's sales force doesn't listen, they give orders. Home inspection is at this time and date be there. Settlement will be at such and such time be there. The times I received didn't work for us. It required two week argument to move them forward 90 minutes. I don't like an ultimatum, Lennar lives by them.

Kristen was extremely helpful and informative throughout the home buying process. She did everything she could in which her job role allowed. It was a pleasure working with her. On the other hand, Lennar (Corporate) was not considerate at all in accommodating to a closing date that worked best for me, unless additional money was added to the transaction. There are still some items inside and outside the house that were noted and marked before and during the walk through as items to be fixed that were ignored and have not been fixed as of 4/2/23. The house is very basic, for my living situation this house is OK. The workmanship seems to get the work done ,but quickly. The house is an inexpensive house and you get what you pay for. The community is very pleasant and I am one of the first to move in to my area, but I really like it so far. My biggest complaint is the entrance and exit to my community, we need a traffic light. It takes just as long to get in and out as it does to get were you want to go.

The loan process was frustrating. They asked for paperwork the Friday before Christmas, I couldn’t get so my closing date got pushed. Then at the last minute they said they didn’t need it and set a closing date without checking with me. The process was difficult due to being out of state. Accommodations were made to allow for signing because of our situation in MICHIGAN because of my shoulder surgery and having to live in separate housing to accommodate my recovery and have a place for our dogs. Overall we got it done and everyone was accommodating. As for the house, we were very disappointed with the finishes in the home. Employees did the best they could under completion pressure at year end. Magnified by hurricane and materials shortages. Recommend a customer service department independent of other departments for quality control of closing issues. I do not see any evidence of a local customer service department. Again, it's not the employees, its the large number of closings without a customer service department to handle preparation for a successful walkthrough at closing.
