This is our second time purchasing a new home and I have to say this process was a little more difficult. The lack of communication was the biggest issue for me. We were giving three different completion dates. And now that we are all moved in there are still things that need to be fixed inside the home. Everyday we're finding something that was not complete. I will say these are beautiful homes but you can tell they cut corners on certain things in the home. For instances there are no real towel racks in either of the bathrooms. The shower door does not close all the way. Our refrigerator didn't even have a filter. And you can pretty much tell these homes are rushed in the building process. While we love our new coach home, we were disappointed in the construction. The quality of the work need to be upgraded. Paint sloppiness, busted front door, miter joints off, not cleaned before we moved in. Why install screens if you have to have them replaced with noseeum screens at a 750.00 cost? The staff is very friendly though. I do think they want to make things better.

Home wasn’t ready when promised. Allowed to close without CO. Had to go to hotel. Oven didn’t fit. No kitchen for 3 weeks. Cabinets broken. House was dirty. Floor wasn’t laid level. Bumps and hills throughout. Hollow tiles throughout. Upstairs creeks. Grout not straight and spilled throughout the home. Doors not level. Stairs rails not secured. Grout accidentally used in stead of caulking. Made promises to have things done but almost 8 weeks and punch list still not done. Not even paint. Trades make appointments but never show. If we could get our money back we would move out. No one is happy in our neighborhood. Workmanship is laughable. Trades have stated they are pushed too hard and cant do quality work. NIGHTMARE. ... Not sure price to high for the house 2 car garage construction materials to build the house are not perfect, basement very dirty when I moved in and will see what happens next

The house was delayed 3+ months with no satisfactory explanation. We scheduled closing, all processes started and then Lennar moved closing without notifying me. I learned through my insurance agent who got an email to hold the insurance policy. We didn't have CO until the morning of closing. Final walk through never happened, I signed things online for the sake of closing on this house. The sales team, construction and warranty team were so disconnected, it's unreal. Quality and especially craftsmanship, horrible for Lennar brand name. A handyman would do better and take more pride in their work. I've bought 7 homes, this is my first and last with Lennar. ... Everyone was so nice when we were closing and now POOF no one is to be found. No one is responsive when we reach out with issues or concerns. It’s been just about 3 months and no one’s checked in on our 3 month follow up. Part of exterior of the home hasn’t been painted. Our fireplace only works sometimes and we don’t have a point of contact. There’s a missing vent flap that I can’t get anyone to replace so I’m fearful birds will move in. The ring system has been very difficult to set up as the builders put up pieces of it and didn’t leave all the instructions. The myQ for the garage door openers is just the cheap $30 add on you can buy at Menards and isn’t built into the garage door openers. The garage door opener isn’t the nice quiet one it’s loud and clunky. The deadbolt isn’t lined up right and there aren’t instructions to program it so we just bought a new one. Worried about what will happen when if we have a major problem since no one answers texts or calls. ... More

Everyone I dealt with was polite, The most frustrating thing was the home wasn’t ready when the closing date came, Everything was rushed to get the certificate of occupancy, I still have things on my check list that needs to be completed, I paid cash for my home and complied to all the things that was ask of me, I expect the same from Lennar. I have other friends that are looking for homes in this area and ask me about my buying experience, I drove 300 miles for my first walk thru to look for minor things that would need repair, in my astonishment the house was still in construction, no cabinets, no carpet, no bathroom toilets or cabinets, not painted, etc. Two weeks later the final walk thru a lot had been completed but the kitchen stove wasn’t installed or gas wasn’t on, the heat and air was just being turned on, all this made me very nervous about closing, as I have met some of my neighbors they said their home buying experience was very much the same, I am not sure if you are aware of this on the corporate level, I researched Lennar homes and think I made a good choice when I decided to buy one of your homes, all I am asking is to give me what I paid for, I hope my reviews can help you streamline your home sales experience. ... My experience with Lennar has been horrible.. Since day one I wanted to buy a house with a loan and the person a spoke to thought it was cash and obviously they waited until closing day to contact me and that was a huge problem.. going from buying cash to a loan and I almost lost my deposite which is 10% of the house values ( crazy) if this was my first house I would never want to go through that also because Lennar people are not helpful at all.. honestly I don’t have time to do this but I do not recommend friends or family to buy from Lennar.. I do have experience with Dr Horton and they’re great from costumer service, they help and guide costumer so well something that lennar doesn’t do ohhhh and they don’t keep your money if something goes wrong with the loan/house and you guys take peoples savings with no remorse.. there’s so many things that I would love to say here but don’t have the time to be typing.. So I finally got my house with a lot of problems and needed something to be fix right away and I was told that wasn’t lennars problem and then I was told to contact John buscemi which he doesn’t answer his phone or reply to emails. I have found more than enough issues with the build of this home. Today I needed to get something from behind my drive that fell. What do I know it's a hole in the wall begins the active. Cabinets busted up and stove wobbly on a piece of cardboard! Not only that but I cannot get the stove back in its place because it is so crooked. Whatever took place to squeeze it in place that busted the cabinets is something. I can't do. Now I'm stuck here with a stove in the middle of my walk area in kitchen. My light switches were put in upside down. The shower door was put in incorrectly resulting in a leak. I'm so over this place. I will never refer a Kennard home to anyone. ... More

Lennar's broker, Cheryl, was simply outstanding; very responsive on any requests we have had, both pre- and post-closing. Some finish and repair issues discovered post-closing have been or are being addressed. Overall, can recommend the Cascades in Newark DE for anyone looking for a house in a 55+ community.

Home was not ready for closing! Still waiting for items to be addressed 2 month after closing.

It’s very sad to get the service response and no good enough information shared ahead. I am following up almost two months keep o. Reporting issues but very few of them were resolved

extremely poor performance on Lennar's part. the house is still not complete two months after "forced" closing. now paying on a property that we cannot move into since construction is still not complete. no response or follow up on their part. would not recommend this company to anyone.

Slow response to service requests

We love this house. We are having a little bit of trouble getting the little imperfections fixed to our standards.

Finishing is very bad. Lennar should have been given more options for having the sun room or back yard porch. there is space which can be planned rather than making wastage.

The home got delayed about two months from the time they told us it would be ready. We identified a few issues during the final walk through and only one of them was addressed. We kept following up on the rest without success.

Harry was excellent in the purchase process . Always available and very helpful . The mortgage arm of the company very poor and the rep was not very knowledgeable and a bit misleading Once you start getting emails to sign things etc . this company will NEVER STOP BOTHERING YOU! Even after closing I was getting emails to sign forms . They want to sell not only homes but insurance and lending …. Just stick to home building and selling would be my advice !

The loan team were diligent and always very willing to help us as well as Jen the sales representative Who answered our calls and questions in a timely manner.

Lennar does not care about the home buyer. Everything they do is based on what is good for them. Construction issues that should have been fixed were just covered up. Floors slope, doors don't close, holes not patched. They talk a good game but don't come through on anything. We've waited nearly 2 months to get items fixed, including a leaky shower that will cause more damage. There is no one who respond to requests. The "client service" person has disappeared.

We had issues with the salesperson reaching out and coordinating with our realtor. He did keep us up to date on the progress of our house, which was nice. Upon coming in we had power pulled during the final walkthrough and the construction manager told us it was the electrical company’s fault. Turns out it was his fault for not paying to have the post replaced after it was hit by their landscaper. Got straight lied too and the electrical company informed us he called when it happened but never submitted payment to them for a replacement. Then called the night before panicking because it hadn’t been replaced. So our closing got pushed back 2 days on a cross country move due to them. The caulk around the floorboards looks terrible. Not like a new person did it, like a 5 year old did it. The paint literally wipes off the wall. They tote a high amount of return customers but I cannot figure out how. Not much got done after my walk-through and doing my punchlist, so I wasn’t really impressed with how the house was handed to me. However, the response with contractors and work orders have been amazing. The contractors are fast to respond and pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend Lennar and purchase another Lennar home in the future. Is it for

The house itself is amazing, some issues here and there but that is expected in a production home and community, Lennar is good about fixing anything we find wrong with the house. Construction managers Will and Adam are excellent in explaining everything and taking care of concerns. Sales is where I had issues, such as miscommunications, incorrect information, carelessness, lack of coordination, just to name a few. You need to be sharp and on top of everything regarding your home purchase, top to bottom and start to finish. Lastly, would I purchase again from Lennar? YES, absolutely, it is worth the money and the little pain during the process, but I have learned a lot from the process, plus Lennar is a big company and you can get a great deal if you buy at the right time during their specials. ...
