This is my second Lennar home. I purchased this home because of the craftsmanship in my first Lennar home. Unfortunately Lennar did cut corners in the craftsmanship in my new home which was twice the price as my first Lennar home.

The quality of materials used to build the home is top notch. Also the built-in technology is great, such as solar panels, water leak detection, sprinkler system, fire alarm, ring alarm, etc. Customer Care has been quite responsive to resolving issues.

During the build process, Lennar did a great job of communicating the process via a weekly email. Unfortunately, beyond anyone control, the process took way too long. The impact of Covid-19 on the build was huge. Materials like windows seem to take forever to arrive. Matt and Tina were very good and providing updates. I have built many homes in the past. The overall workmanship on this home is average. There have been many minor issues that we found after we moved it. Our sales rep TK was awesome and really made it a smooth process. They have been responsive with messages pertaining to issues we have brought up but there are things that still remain that were supposed to be fixed or cleaned that have not been. I will say that the quality of the finish work was not very good. Also the paint they use is terrible quality.

The house was very dirty on move in. Floors, inside and outside of all cabinets and carpets were very dirty. Caulking at baseboards was very sloppy throughout house. It looks terrible. Management of contractors was poor which led to long delays due to failed inspections of power and gas connections into house. I have had many new homes. This was the worst exoerience on a home build

My overall experience was good. I do not want to fault them for the craft folks they hire and workmanship that they do. There were items along the way that concerned me, but overall most were taken care of. I have yet to receive my exterior house colors for touch up . I have emailed my salesperson and he keeps sending me the same document of the items included in the house, BUT I want to know the NAMES of the colors used for the exterior. Anyway, for the price at the time it was a good value.

Our best experience came with the team who met us at the home; the Construction Manager “C” who should in my opinion play a much bigger part with Lennar. The young man who did the walk through was fantastic and made us feel comfortable. Anna was very warm in person and helpful. We have NO love for your Loan Department at all. The lie “$11,000 towards your closing cost” shouldn’t be used anymore. Though there was a bright spot with “J” the rest of everyone else was unprofessional and extremely pushy. The house was incomplete at the time of closing. A very long list of items to be fixed on closing day. It took weeks, if not months to get them all fixed. Lennar sales did not disclose all information about the home lot and Vista community information. A pedestrian Traffic sign was installed at the driveway entrance, Additionally, we have come to find out Vista Lake Owners residing in the Wild Blue community, will not be able to use Wild Blue entrances. The finished quality of workmanship sucks. They should do a walk through themselves before they invite the homeowner in and fix everything they find wrong. But, they wait until the homeowner comes in, and in a couple of hours expects the homeowner to find all the problems. The finish carpentry is poor, the countertops were not cut straight or square, very cheap flat paint on the walls that gets marked up just by leaning a cardboard box to it. I was told I would get two walkthroughs before closing, I only got one so I didn’t see that the fence gate was on the wrong side of the house, no one told me that they only put grass down 20 feet from the back of your house so I have a good 10 feet of mud when it rains, wasn’t aware fence would not encompass the back door area. Read everything and ask the questions that you may think are stupid

Lennar has professional and courteous to deal with. Martha and Duke have been great to work with. Our Lennar agent, Dawn was great in answering all our questions in a timely manner. However, after accepting the house a few things have been at or below average. On closing day, we were left to fend for ourselves, did not know where to get our mail key, garage remotes did not work, no explanation on the Schlage keyless lock system, how to obtain the RFID chip for the gate entry, etc. A helpful explanation sheet would have been very helpful. Quality of the Lennar home is amazing. The sales department is not entirely truthful. We were limited to three dock options. After moving in, we noticed a few non-option docks that we would have preferred to have. Our grounds maintenance is included with our HOA, We have had to trim our berm and hire a pest control company to treat our lawn and berm for fire ants and lawn eating bugs. This is our second Lennar home and this experience was a nightmare. The salesman we had was the worst and I'm a Realtor and know what service is supposed to be. I love the community and the homes are lovely, but ours was not done and they did NOT have CO when we arrived. Lennar choose the closing date and we flew in to find a MESS. ow The warranty program works but our salesperson should be in the background, not working with the public.
