Nice house, but the process to close was tedious and the final build of the house was not according to the plans we were initially given.

The closing date kept moving more times than it should have. One time it was moved 24 hours prior to our third closing date. This was due to delays by construction. When we finally got a new home walk through the house was in no condition to be viewed. There were people still working on the home. Toilets were still being installed as we were inspecting the home. No appliances were installed, no gas meter, no sprinkler, no sod and no fence, painting not complete to name a few. It was extremely disappointing.

This is our first home so I don't have much to compare the process too. Overall, the build is great. There were a few minor issues that did not get taken care of before we moved in.

As much as I dislike making a suggestion to finance with the builder, you may get better treatment from Lennar Title by doing so! Questions not answered, calls not returned, treated rude when we arrived to close per Lennar's diection. We were even asked upon arrival to close, why we were there! Who just shows up at a closing for the heck of it, especially in a pandemic? And keep in mind, Lennar had all our monies and still used their leverage to treat us rude. Lennar, you are not the only builder and definely were unknown to us in IL. We traveled cross country to buy in NV and were thrilled to find a buildrer, builing homes to address our personal needs at this time in life. We have owned many properties before and this was the worse and most stressful closing we ever experienced! All, reading this, my comments are specific to Lennar Title. Our site foreman, conceigre, and sales associates were wonderful! We are currently working with Lennar's home care team to address a few building issues, and so far the process is going well. Hopefully, I will gain confidence in Lennar to recommend to others based on they uphold warranties, etc., but for now my only suggestion is if you decife to purchase a Lennar home, work directly with Lennar's team from start to finish and perhaps Lennar Title will give you better customer service! ... I didn’t have the experience I was expecting. Very poor work quality, materials are not the best, paint was horrible, etc.

The initial homebuying experience was decent, and the sales team was helpful throughout the process. However, I will say I've had trouble getting a response to questions or help with issues with the home since closing day. When kindly asking the sales office who I should talk to about my gutter mysteriously overflowing in light rain weeks after moving in, I was told multiple times it wasn't Lennar's problem before finally being given information on how to make a claim with the home warranty. The claim was denied by the home warranty stating it's a "homeowner maintenance issue," despite literally just moving in. Lennar has since offered to help address this issue, but I am still waiting for the issue to be resolved weeks later. I am still finding random paint splatters & scratches missed in the walkthrough, and now after less than 2 months of living here I'm seeing cracked grout & splitting seams, AC unit leaking a large amount of water, etc. For the price I paid for my first home, I expected higher quality materials and more pride in craftsmanship. Love the home and the layout but the devil and the details definitely made the ownership process a bit lackluster. I had a ton of post-closing repairs (minor to medium) that still aren't complete. The good thing is no one is pushing back on the repairs it's just the sense of urgency you would home for a brand new home.

Several issues found after moving in. Very annoying. Most were addressed to our satisfaction.

Fixing problems with house have been slow

Pleased with initial buying process during construction. Frustrated with short notice to close (required to close prior to opportunity to view finished product). Final clean up and finishing touch-ups to complex seem to be ignored.

Lennar sales and finance people were great to work with and buying a Lennar home was easy! Any time I have had an issue with my new house their warranty people have been kind and responsive. However, Lennar compromised on the quality of some of the materials. The quality of the interior paint is terrible! It picks up marks from simply touching it and cannot be cleaned without exposing the driwall. The carpet is also of very low quality picking up dirt and staining with normal use. It has gone from a light gray to a dingy tan with casual use. The exterior foundation is covered with a brittle sealant foam that breaks off with accidental contact. The whole process is very rushed and there is very little power given to the buyer at the end of the day. Although we had checkins and inspections, there was still no ability to see some of the issues that we needed to have addressed until after we moved in. Our representative has been terrific in getting theses addressed after the fact, but these issues should not have been present in the first place. 3 in particular are quite frustrating. 1 despite addressing concerns when we noticed these spots while reviewing videos during construction checkins, there are several large areas where a leveling material was added to our floors on the second level where the builder never checked to ensure the the floors were level so now there are several dips and bumps that will require pretty intensive work to repair after the fact. 2 electrical code was not followed while running our A/C wire in our walls from our condensor, resulting in a wire being nicked while hanging a picture despite all of the proper precautions being taken. The wire is just hanging in the wall, not attached to a stud, was run through a hole drilled through a beam and no metal protective plate was added. All three of those things are electrical code violations. 3 our A/C unit was leaking freeon badly due to poor workmanship when installed resulting in damage to several mechanical items from manhandling of the equipment that which required several visits to repair in brand new equipment. It also looks and feels like the carpenters never heard of a level or a T-square. In our particular development, there is a lot of issues with Lennar’s decisions to enter contracts that cost the homeowners significant fees but provide little to no benefits particularly around the management and security companies that they hired to run those services for our HOA. They also sold the community as a premium community and then slapped a rental community that operates under different rules right in the middle of it. We share amenities that we need to pay for with these vacation renters that do not and they run rampant in the community because they do not gave the same repercussions as the owner communities for violating rules. There are also little to no rules placed on the rental properties so they do not maintain the same neighborhood standards. All the while the owners HOA’s help to fund the profits of these rental properties. There is also insufficient security provided by both the company Lennar hired to run the gates and patrols and the equipment ( or lack there of ) provided. Lennar Mortgage messed up on my home insurance policy. I'm still waiting for my refund. Other than that, sale respresentative, construction manager and onsite service manager are very friendly and quite helpful.

You need to check every area in the house, many items were not completed

Compared to the stories we have heard from people dealing with other builders in town, we don't have much to complain about. However, you can see where they used subpar materials and cut corners to meet deadlines.

Easy to communicate with the sales

Spent way too much for what I got. House is a mixed bag of nice amenities and cheap junk. It took way too long to finish.

Lennar overall is a good company. The construction manager we had was awesome!

Just wish the home had better finishes

We ran into a bunch of issues with the loan lady and she wasn’t listening. But Jose the sales guy helped us threw the process on buying the house.

Home purchase was straightforward but issues occurred which required multiple follow-ups. A solid house however design features were not changeable to customize house to buyer. Amenities were not shown to buyer but alluded to in literature and lacking in important areas such as beach access for community on the lake.

Home design is good but cheap quality products/finishes and poor workmanship. Response to warranty claims is slow
