Love my house. Not a fan of the builders.

Please know when you buy a smart home from them you will be setting up 95% of it without anyone's help from Lennar. They just want you to put down the deposit for your home and once that happens they completely stop trying or caring. I was told by an employee actually that Lennar is cheap. However, I love my house. They did a really good job with it overall, but please don't be fooled by the glamour of your house because nothing is what it seems with them with their rude employees.

Builder is pushing out the work without any quality control. Sub contractors do poor work then they have to come back and repair causing more problems

I would not transfer any funds into escrow account until all the punch list is done. Once you transfer funds they will close on the property, by transferring funds you give them the right to close read your contract closely. there only goal is to meet the closing dates. Then anything that needs to be done goes into warranty work. They have been moving along on the list of things that need to be done most of that is from poor sub contractor work.

Most of the staff with Lennar is great, however communication skills on the other hand, not so good. I understand things happen, but the lack of communication was absurd. Our home was never cleaned before moving in either. Moving into a dirty home, with an infant, trying to unpack was chaotic. The builder did send the cleaners over about a week later, however when they cleaned they left tiny pieces of metal (from their scrubbers) all over my floor. Blue tape was still left in some places as well. All in all my family and I were just expecting a different outcome. The staff was friendly and ...

Experience was good but lot of improvement opportunities

Not a bad experience but definitely could be improved. Sales people don't handle the stuff professionally, too many emails are something which worries but handling this scale is also not an easy thing as well. I hope they either slow down or add more staff so that they can handle customers professtionally. They need support staff before sales who can listen to the customers complains.

We were so excited to close on our new home! Until we walked in the door. The house wasn’t cleaned, drywall dust everywhere. The stove was sitting in the middle of the kitchen, the dishwasher or the disposal were not plugged in. So you know they weren’t tested to see if they worked. There was a huge dent in the top of the dryer that we saw a week before, but wasn’t replaced. There was 2 pages with pictures of problems we notice on the first walkthrough that still weren’t addressed on our closing day. We did not want to close because of the issues, but were told if we didn’t, who knew how long ...

The loan process was one of the longest I’ve ever done and this is my third home purchase. Even on the day we were supposed to close thing weren’t done and we had to call to find out we weren’t closing that day. My family moved out of our apartment and had to stay in hotels for a week waiting for everything to get sorted. Once we moved in we found issue that had been identified durning the walk through that were never addressed. We have had issue with our dryer and other products and the local rep is hard to get ahold of and the customer service reps don’t reply for day some times. ...

The construction took 2 months more than anticipated. The communication or updates on the status of the house were very poor because The construction team was not providing updates. Once we moved into the house they were multiple concerns of undone repairs and we are still dealing with necessary repairs. Also, The tiles style were changed without notice to the buyer

My biggest complaint is the quality of workmanship. I don't have the time or space to list all of the issues but I'll sum it up with this. It must have been bring your kids to work day and they let their kids build the house...drunk!

Lennar could become that next level company if they were "proactive" in their communication. It always seems like internal communication is poor at best so many more steps are needed to get something done than needed! Overall, Lennar builds a pretty good home but they get defensive when something needs to be corrected. It all comes down to being open and transparent, communication!!

Lennar Mortgage was very easy to work with and that was the best part of the purchase. There were many issues I thought would have been done before closing such as soft close cabinets, paint, and other issues that should have been taken care of before closing.

Communication issues, but satisfied with home

During our experience, we faced constant communication issues with our sales rep. There were times when we wouldn’t hear from him for weeks on end during the last few months leading up to closing. Our close date got pushed back multiple times which wasn’t an issue, the problem was that it was only communicated to us with little to no notice or until we reached out for an update multiple times. If there is one suggestion I can give to Lennar, it is to hire coordinators or customer success reps to facilitate updates and questions during the home buying process if the sales person is not going ...

I had a great experience working with the construction crew and supervisor. The process from construction to the house being done built was good with great responsiveness of issues regarding the home and other issues throughout the process. However my experience with the sales team and loan process was bad, the responsiveness was terrible, communication was bad and questions that I had were not answered till days later . As a customer buying half a million dollar home there should be a bit more communication. There should also be more professionalism with the sales team and them not ...

Communication from Dale in sales was poor. We were promised a weekly status call with the construction manager and received exactly one in six months. Our salesperson was always out of the office so responses were slow. The construction manager usually got back to us quickly. Lennar Mortgage was difficult to work with as well. We received rate quotes and then when we tried to accept them, they changed and acted like the rates never existed. Though we were promised $4500, they used $1000 to buy down the rate without telling us. The overall quality was average. Many studs were bowed ...

"I was extremely disappointed with the process of purchasing a Lennar Home through the agent, Gina. When I visited the model home out of curiosity and to gather information, I was not properly informed about the purchasing process. According to Lennar policy, this meant that I could not have an agent who would receive commission on the sale and I would have to pay for it out of pocket. I believe this is unethical and contributes to the loss of trust in large institutions. During the final walk-through, I felt rushed by the customer representative, Lisa, and the manager in charge of the ...

Bad timing! Signed a purchase agreement in June for a new home to be ready in November. Hurricane hit in September; some damage to the house but salvageable. Flew down for inspection in mid-December for a late December close; found too many problems for a punch list (no A/C, no refrigerator, lots of finish issues). Salesman had moved on to another development. Closed late December (so Lennar could book the sale in 2022). Moved in on January 1. Found much of builders support team not available until days after holiday. Gradually getting things fixed (now 6 weeks after move-in). ...

Hi - I recently purchased an Augusta townhouse in Preserve at Pine Lakes. There have been disappointments, I must admit. Currently experiencing lots of ants and some roaches. Does not appear Lennar treats the earth for insects prior to building, and apparently ground joints not sealed well. Finish and trim poorly done: floor molding in places thrown on hurriedly, cut incorrectly and installed without correction. Out of the way spots with rough edges (eg, door casings bottoms) and no caulk at all (eg, upstairs bathroom, casing at bottom of banister). Workers apparently being pushed for ...

Getting major issues repaired or replaced has been grueling! The mortgage loan process was equally frustrating and personnel were negligent in either responding on time or did not communicate professionally and sometimes found fault with us. we were forced into a closing where a few major construction items were questionable. We did not receive our final closing document until we were sitting in lawyers office so we delayed transfer of funds for a day and then threatened that we would not get keys for property until wire confirmed. then the next day as money transfer was being ...

Communication throughout the process was poor. On the scheduled closing day, Lennar could not even communicate whether or not we were actually going to close on that day -- which was extremely frustrating. We learned the hard way that Lennar rushed to complete the project and some short cuts were taken -- which are still being addressed.

Terrace Condo experience

The biggest disappointment was the condition of the condo at closing. There were no kitchen or laundry appliances installed, one toilet didn’t work, no electric switch in MB, needed painting and dirty. It took 3 days before we could consider moving in. This seems to be the norm- close the deal then race like crazy to make it liveable. No apologies- that’s just the way it is. After 6 weeks of waiting for an electrician to fix the light switch on the MB counter, we went out and hired our own electrician to fix it. I am being kind with my ratings. We still wait for things to be fixed but no one ...
