Walk through was too quick.

We were told that once Lennar received the certificate of occupancy we had to close shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, there were many items not completed when we moved in 2 weeks after we had closed including gas line not connected to dryer, fridge circuit breaker not holding, pool (which was very expensive) not operational, cabinets not completely in, a water leak coming into the den, and many other punch lists items. Our construction manager has been great in trying to resolve these problems but a lot of it is out of his hands as he has to rely on sub-contractors. Six weeks after our close our pool is just now almost ready, cabinets are still not done, and there are still 1/2 dozen other items on the punch list. my sales agent was terrible. closing was a nightmare. very poor communication, no response to emails, no updates. Only positive thing about the whole home buying experience is our customer relationship manager.

My experience with Diane and Jennifer who were my loan officers was a nightmare, as I had to explain several times a day over a period of over 4 months for my documents and loan processing. I had to settle for quarter point higher rate due to their delay in rate lock. The build quality left a few things to be finished like garage footboard, and finish quality of cabinets and windows, design of mater bedroom. Though Heather did her best to deliver the home it had a handful of deficiencies and poor inspection of HVAC and appliances. Buying my house was easy … so many inconveniences moving in. I wasn’t told about all the construction that was and is still going on. Workers & other vehicles parking on the street inhibits coming and going. Window part had to be replaced and the front door lock does not open using “Level” auto lock. Painting was being done even as I was moving in. I will say, however, Steve and Gavin have been most helpful.

The home was functional. There were quality control issues as with any new home, perhaps more-so in my case with plumbing. My issues were on on what you get for the price you pay for these homes is not the best quality, laminated cabinets that chip easily. Lennar forced a bid approach when the pandemic happened. While not unusual, this process was very clunky, and we saw huge delays in closing. Overall I was pleased with the people-aspect but not much else in the buying experience.

They are building the homes so fast that quality is not what it should be. Fortunately, they correct the issues in a reasonable length of time.

The sales rep was responsive and patient with all my questions as a first time home owner. Other than that I found the closing and move in process a disappointment. During new home walkthrough my house was a complete mess and not at all ready for closing. There was no paint or carpet, people were working where I was supposed to be inspecting, there were major electrical issues, the wash machine and dishwasher did not work, a worker even had food in the refrigerator and freezer. I was amazed at how much cracked and broken molding was in the house, and attempted to be covered up. Many of my concerns were addressed before celebration walkthrough. However it took over a month to get the key to my door in the garage and for a period of time my garage door was being opened by another home in the neighborhood, giving access to my home to anyone. There were things that we were satisfied with. In our final walkthrough some of the discrepancies were taken care, some were not. I understand the warranty section and having to wait until we got on the list to get those things fixed. But, the other stuff like touch ups that were marked with tape didn’t get taken care of. It’s not really a big deal because some of those things “we” as homeowners can fix on our own. But the things we pointed out that was wrong didn’t get fixed when we started moving our household goods in the house. The air conditioning units has been our biggest struggle. We registered them within the 30 days, but after that we had major problems. One AC until had its wires fried completely. And we were blamed by the technician, Bayonet, because he thought we were raising and lowering the temperature. That’s unsatisfactory because we had only been in the house a little over 30 days. The other stuff of having to redo caulking and fix broken towel hangers doesn’t bother as much. It’s the major electrical issues…HVAC, AC units that have me concerned. ... More

Construction crews are thugs. They broke windows, chipped doors, sheetrock and taping issues all over house. Construction quality is sub-par. Lennar corp people are great. They respond, repair and answer emails. Lennar warranty website is long, tedious and boring but at least the issues are addressed.

Would have been great if they helped with the silverfish problem. The brand new homes are infested with bugs. Still dealing with it after almost 2 months.

Hello. I would equate my buying experience with Lennar to be average. Closing was delayed multiple times due to obvious supply chain issues. Communication was above average but the attention to detail in the construction of my home was lacking. Cleanliness was a problem and Multiple punch list issues were recorded AFTER my closing with no clear direction on how they would be addressed. I am not local so email or phone calls are critical in understanding issues going on with our home purchase. Setting up utilities took some figuring out. Would be nice to have a welcome aboard packet for new home buyers to outline everything we need to be aware of when purchasing with Lennar and ChampionsGate gate community. ... More

Be prepared to pay more than advertised. Option costs are not included in web pricing and every house gets option adds. Be prepared to pay more the day you sign a contract. Our home went up mysteriously $10K the night before we were scheduled to sign a contract. Dishonest business practice. Fit and finish is something to be desired. If you are OK with no screens on patio doors, no gutters, permanently mounted toilet paper holders too small to hold toilet paper rolls, poor concrete work, lowest grade carpet and padding you can find, no outside lighting over the garage door, a garage too small for most SUVs and pickups, a two-car garage that can really only handle one car, no storage whatsoever, crammed into 5 feet of separation between you and your neighbor on both sides, narrow driveways, and narrow streets, then this is the perfect home for you. There is an obvious conflict between the sales/finance team and the construction team. Sales/finance wanted to move ou closing date two weeks earlier to achieve some goal. The construction team was not ready. Many poor quality issues were left incomplete at closing. It took many week to correct most of them and one is still outstanding six weeks after closing.

Some of the 30-day corrections took extra effort to fix. Some of the overhead fixtures do not lend themselves to installing a fan. The wiring is buried too deep behind junction box to access. The smart home features all require separate apps. They are NOT interoperable.

Not the best finishes for the price. A lot of small details were not finished prior to closing and still everything is yet to be finished. For being advertised as luxury and move in ready we expected a lot more. The house is well built for the most part but all the various contractors they bring in aren’t always that great.

The underwriting process is a bit extra.

In beginning everything was good and the seller Carson was amazing, after that it was so complicate. I had other company to do all relative to the mortgage and I decide do it with Lennar and that was like nightmare. then when I was in the end of process I went to do the walk in, and I was let them know what need to be fixed, the lady how was with me answer " you have to understand this is a production house" I don't know if the mean it is the cheaper house, don't ask for to much, anyway for a production house, they should offer good quality, and better costumer service.

The best part of our experience was the customer care rep, Mystic. She has been very helpful and understanding with our concerns and issue.

Overall experience has been okay thus far - not great. MANY frustrations along the way and some very basic issues that should never have been problems in the first place.. Most issues are eventually addressed but responsiveness has often been poor. Most definitely room for improvement all the way around.

Constant having to call and make corrections that should of been caught during inspection. Builder doesnt seem to give a crap about craftsmanship for the price you pay for a house these days.

The basic structure is good and I like my home, but there are many details in the finish that were not done correctly. The human response was not good (all stages: sales, mortgage, warranty, etc).

Working with the sales agent was a pleasant experience. However, Lennar was rushing me to close on a home that wasn’t ready for move in and 2 months later I’m still chasing after people to fix things that should’ve been done prior to closing.

While the builder and senior management have very good intentions and would like the products and services to be excellent, I am not sure the staff at the lower level and executors of strategy and goals are aligned. There were a number of fauklts pointed out to builders during house construction which were ignored and some of these were not minor problems. Band aid solutions or explanations were provided. The Lennar Mortgage process was unnecessarily painful - I would never go for Lennar Mortgage. Closing process was extremely rushed with very little explanations.
