The experience was like I was purchasing a home using the sellers agent to represent me and the agent's primary concern was in the interest of the seller not mine.

At the start of my process the people were so nice and helpful. When I started the process they told me about what I needed, however once we started to get into it and after I was on vacation I was constantly bothered for information that was already provided. They keep asking for the something over and over and for info that I did have or could not retrieve untill a later date. Even after I told them I would not be able to get so.ething they asked for till a certain date they made a due date that was unreasonable and before when I already told them they would have to wait for it. We were very excited to purchase our new home and initially we were treated that way in the beginning. Once our house began was when we started to have some communication issues. Our building manager had changed hands three times but we were not alerted until we were scheduling our walkthroughs. As a new homebuyer, I would want to know who is the building manager is at all times in case situations arise that need to be brought to their attention. Our sales representative also moved locations halfway through which gave us no one to talk to on site. This again could have been rectified with an email introduction on who we could talk to with issues. We did not receive our weekly updates on a timely manner which left us again in the dark about home progress. He was very nice and helpful. He did what he said he would/was going to do. His work is very nice and I do love my new home. I did move in very quickly, but Jackson did all her could to ensure that I had the home of my dreams.

Disappointed… easy to get in. Sales and mortgage groups were great. What promised was not what I was given. Now fence blown down and it seems they are taking their time to repair. We live on main road and it is super loud and cars have access to our back door. Very scary.

Spec sheet for the home stated finished stone veneer. When we moved up to the new home it was completed with siding. No adjustments have been made by the builder except to say "it was my fault". Have asked HOA to further investigate. Was hoping for either adjustment at closing or replacement of the siding-nothing has been done-felt like a bait and switch.

The home buying experience was excellent! Except the loan process, it was painful, draining and very time consuming- requesting the same info over and over from my job and from was very unprofessional from the loan company—-

There was lot of unknowns after and before the Closing Process and there was no follow thru on what was discussed and agreed to during the walkthru and during the Sales Process.

When I first reached out to Lennar, I was really excited about buying a Lennar home. Come to find out the whole buying process involved poor customer service with all communication by text or email and long waits for your questions and concerns to be answered. You will get phone calls when they need something but do not expect lennar to pick up your calls. The mortgage people sucks and will not communicate in a timely manner. We love the floor plan but most of the things in the home are standard and is what you see in the model home. You get what you pay for. The overall walk through was fine since touch up was completed prior to move in. The best experience so far is the customer service from Elijah. He helps with all the issues after move in to ensure the issues submitted are taken care of during the one year warranty. ... More

My wife and i have had someone out to fix cabinets twice now. The first time the cabinet guy said that the quality of your cabinets was poor and the issue we were having was going to be a continuing thing. (Front face falling off). He fixed them but failed to do it correctly. So 2 weeks later we had another work request. This time before the job was even complete Elijah starts telling my wife that they will not be out to fix them again and there is nothing they will do anymore. Then the repair man discovered that they were not built right to begin with and he has supposedly fixed it now. But i dont appreciate being told that you guys will not fix something again especially since we have a 1 year warranty and it was your builders who screwed up to begin with ... More

Quality is not great. Cheap materials used. Not satisfied with the purchase.

Our sales rep was very communicative and responsive and when trouble arose she took the reins and jumped in to help us. If it were not for our sales rep Hailey, I would have walked from the deal. The home buying concierge assigned to us was so bad—she was non-responsive, didn’t return calls or emails. She was incorrectly relaying information from the project manager to me and probably from me to him. She also gave misinformation that confused and frustrated me. Overall, I would probably choose Lennar again but I would shop around with other builders as well to compare.

I had a disappointing experience with this labor warranty. The quality of their work was subpar, with noticeable labor issues. When I requested and submitted a repair ticket, they refused to address the problems and gave excuses instead. I expected better service and responsibility for their workmanship

Original sales person okay, but the last one left in the development is awesome!

We love our new floor plan, it works great for our family. Having lived in the house for a couple of months now, however, there are several quality issues that we have noticed. Our doorbell had a blown transformer right off the bat, lightbulbs burned out within days of moving in, whoever is in charge of the caulking, grouting and paint was either a novice or moved through too fast and created quite the mess. The "construction clean" was not clean at all. There was still dust all over the house on top of light switches, counters, baseboards, floors... I'm not entirely sure that our countertops in the bathrooms were ever sealed. We've got nail hole pops coming out everywhere. One of our electrical receptacles is throwing sparks when a phone charger was plugged into it (not the charger's fault, it's okay in every other receptacle). The sinks and shower look like they were pretty scratched up during the construction process and then glossed over rather than being replaced. All this is still after we had a home inspector come through twice to handle the major items that were wrong with the home. Love the floor plan, the execution left a lot to be desired. ... More

Definitely not the best experience specifically with the sales staff whom seem to be quite indifferent after the purchase completion. Bought a new home built by Lennar in South Carolina and had an excellent experience with the support and sales staff. Wouldn’t recommend Nichol’s Place to friends or family. We’ll see how it goes from now on.

Nothing nothing nothing nothing nothing

I would not be inclined to use Lennar mortgage again. Every time something came up a new person would reach out needing more information. Many times at the end of day or weekends. It was the hardest purchase of a home that I have done in the four homes I have purchased over the years. While Gabriella and Kassandra were very helpful and patient with me there were several others that were less than professional. Even the last day, we got a call to pick up our keys and another person said no there was another issue that needed to be resolved. Also we received a email saying our offer had been rejected after placing our deposit down only to find out it was sent in error. No we are sorry or explanation of what happened just ignore that. Selection of house and the building process went smoothly until it was to close. During our walkthrough, inspections were not complete, house was not cleaned at all, some items were not completed, final trim paint was not finished. We did our walk through and made list of items that needed to be fixed or finished. We were told it all would be completed by the closing date. On the morning of closing, many items were still not complete and the final inspection was not completed. So we could not close. We had our U-Haul truck loaded and had to wait until late afternoon before we had final inspection for occupancy. However there were some items not complete yet and we were told that they would get done. So we close on the house and were able to move in that evening. But we still have items not completed. The house is not bad, but there was a lack of attention to many details, apart from an unjustified delay in its delivery. The best has been Mrs Maria Gonzalez in addressing questions and complaints. THANKS MRS MARIA!! It will be difficult for me to buy houses from Lennar again.

Sales did not inform us that the house was in flood zone. We heard it from the mortgage company. We never met our construction guy. The only time we heard from him was when he changed the time on our initial walk thru but had somebody else do it. Closing was stressful as well when the CO was not available and someone had to go get it. Overall happy with the house and neighborhood.

Too many issues with original walk through not addressed 60 days later

When we first moved in to our home a few months ago, half the grass was dead, the tree in the front yard was dead, there was trash everywhere, and they did a horrible job painting the inside. There was zero prep work done to the ground before laying the sod down, and I witnessed this as I saw them do the neighbors. They left their bottles and trash and rocks in the yard and threw the sod on top of all of it. Other neighbors have stepped on pieces of metal in the yard. THIS IS A LAWSUIT IN THE MAKING. If one of my children were to have stepped on any of the junk I found in the lawn, it would not have even a good situation. Not to mention they didn’t pull any weeds before starting so now my grass is 80% weeds. I’d rather have done it all my self because I’m doing more work to fix it than it would have been to do it right the first time. I know dozens of others in the neighborhood feel the same way. Also, they used one layer of the cheapest paint possible inside. If you get any dirt on the wall and try to wipe it off, it wipes the paint off with it. So we have to paint the entire house because after 2 months of being here, there’s spots where paint is missing because you can’t properly clean it. There’s also paint splatter all over the floors and it’s caked up on door hinges. I wouldn’t recommend anyone buy a Lennar starter home unless you do the landscaping yourself and ensure they do a good job painting and clean up after themselves. ... More

We are overall pleased with our purchase as we got a great neighborhood and a good house. We also knew what we were getting moving in. If you go in understanding that there's plenty of poor quality items, you'll be much happier. The paint is atrocious. I think they must skip primer and only use one coat, that's for inside and outside. And the drywall is horrible. It's so soft if you push your nail into it, it'll leave a mark. We plan on repainting in the next year and expect that will help They mostly make the process easy and it was pretty fast. The employees are all very nice. We live in a construction area but we're impressed with how clean the construction areas are kept, way better than the other builders nearby. We couldn't afford the more upscale builders but we feel we got a good value. There's just plenty that we'll have to take care of. Oh, and the included appliances are super low quality. We're saving up to replace them when they break in two years. Honestly, we love the layout and the neighborhood. We'd recommend the builder to anyone wanting a new home that comes in with eyes open and knows they aren't a high end builder. They are a mass builder and better than a lot of the other mass builders. ... More

Overall, we were happy with the new home. We have had a few warranty items come up, but they were resolved quickly. Alexis has been great to work with on all those issues. A common theme we have experienced and heard other neighbors complaining about is how hot these houses are in the summer. Even though the air conditioning system is working as it’s supposed to, and the insulation is to spec, we found several air gaps in the attic (under the insulation). They were causing us to lose a lot of the conditioned air and gain a lot of heat. Making it hard for the system to keep up. Lennar can’t seem to fix this issue so we had to come out of pocket to find relief. Otherwise we love the community and our new home. ... More
