Lennar’s mortgage lender was absolutely terrible. Celebration walk thru was knowledgeable. Cosmetic defects were not fixed/ repaired that we requested.

From the minute I drove into the community, I knew I had found my next home. The sales people were welcoming, supportive, and informative. The walk through prior to closing was great. The Clubhouse and amenities are terrific. The house has lots of space and there is quite a bit of spacing between homes. My only wish(es) would be that more personalization was possible and included (i.e. drawers in lower kitchen cabinets, color of kitchen cabinets, handles/pulls on kitchen and bathroom drawers/cabinets, composite flooring in bedrooms vs. carpet, real shelving vs. wire racks in pantry and closets, towel bars installed, etc.) But those are little details compared to the lovely new home where I am so very happy. ... Although the home buying experience was pleasant and the people professional, the quality of the home is unsatisfactory. The fire alarms had old batteries and went off several times, resulting in the fire dept coming to our house. An outside irrigation line was broken underground and resulted in a completely soggy back yard. Chinch bugs destroyed our front yard and Lennar simply plopped new sod directly in top of the bad grass.The back yard is comprised of more weeds than good grass. Our trees were not tethered and leaned over badly in a wind storm. This is the fourth new house we have owned and, by far, the worst home we have purchased, regardless of builder. Firstly, working with Victoria was an absolute pleasure. She made a stressful process easy and (most importantly) fun. Overall, the home is great. I do wish the hinges on the cabinets were soft close and there was one additional one installed to better support the cabinet doors. I also wish the carpet was a higher quality. It’s already showing wear patterns after 2 months in the home. Other than that, very happy with my home.

I have purchased three homes from Lennar and am very happy with two of them. I was happy with the third one, too until Lennar failed repeatedly to honor their warranty. I have now had to hire legal counsel to help me with the warranty issues

Buying prices was completely chaotic. Would not do that again. House itself has unsolved basement flooding and Customer Care person will not return my calls. Extremely frustrated with Lennar overall.

While we understand that there may be issues with any new build, this experience has been utterly frustrating and exhausting. Quality of materials is poor, quality of workmanship is non-existent! There was more paint on the floors than on the walls, the grout work was messy at best, greasy foot print on the carpet, faucets are cheap and starting to break and we've only been here 1 month. Still blue tape left all over the house from the 2 walk through sessions. Very few items have been fixed adequately. We need to re-caulk all the bathrooms because they were not done correctly. The windows are poor quality. The appliances were not installed correctly and we now have to deal with Frigidaire instead of the builder correcting the issues. Overall a very disappointing home! We have a storm drain directly behind our back yard, which is constantly filled with construction debris and, therefore, does NOT drain. We have a lake (or skating rink at the moment) in our backyard. We have addressed this issue with the builder, but nothing is corrected. We are going to have to spend thousands to make this home livable and viable for longer than a year. ... More

True value for money, nice people to work with

Quality and craftsmanship are lacking at best. Responsiveness is inadequate and the HVAC system design has failed in all the carriage homes where I've been able to ask the neighbors. I've been waiting for weeks for a response on a ticket about my leaking water heater. My recommendation to someone who was driving by and asked, was to stay away. In addition, we've been icebound for 2 days because our street hasn't been plowed even once following the snowstorm. Feel free to call me.

I had to backout before closing due to medical emergency costing lots of money and requiring me to keep emergency funds. I understand it was a contract but 6000$ earnest money is a big amount that I had to lose. Lennar sold that home to someone else fairly quickly. Lennar gave me option to use that earnest money within 6 months but not sure if I will be buying home from lennar again.

I had a pleasant experience. All good up until the promised return of my deposit wasn't going to happen. I made a big deal of it, because it was promised and the day before my closing they said it wasn't going to be that amount. In their defense, when I made a fuss, they were able to fix the numbers and give me back what I was promised but not without stress and worry on the eve of my closing which pushed back my closing a few hours. I also found out the at the time I was in there initially they offered a golf cart to another home owner as a perk and not to me. I wonder why that is?

quality materials is very low quality

We were pleased with the whole closing process - nothing too difficult. As we were moving in, little things needed attention. Refrigerator water line was not hooked up. After a few days, it was taken care of. The dishwasher rinse box was cracked and needed to be replaced. That was taken care of within a few days after the second repairman took care of it. Our first week here, we inquired about garbage cans and recycling bins. That still has not been resolved 3 weeks after asking for help. Our garage door opener was dangling. That was repaired within a day or two. We never received our HOA coupon/payment books, or any mail for that matter, and found out we were late with HOA payments and were charged late fees. Still don't know where the coupon books are. Four different apps for making payments is a bit much, but I'm sure we'll manage. Had a tough time getting ceiling fans installed and working with the light switches. We still have painter's tape on the master bathroom door - touch ups were not done yet even though it was reported a week or two ago. Lastly, our Internet is not set up yet. That should be taken care of this week. We are hoping to be living there by next weekend, but in my opinion, most of these things should have been done prior to us trying to move in. The follow - through with some of the office workers isn't very good. I'm sure, with this community in its early stages of development, there are many issues that need to be taken care of. Quality of build is not high end quickly built. The overall responsiveness to issues with the house was good to repair things.

Had the worst experience ever with the sales agent. Left multiple messages with several different offices to have a manager call me no one ever called me back. I would not recommend Lennar homes to anyone. I have never given any builder or any business a bad review this is the first time.

Still awaiting follow ups

We purchased following a short sale process. Everything was done exactly in 28 days as they initially said. Every night we were required to submit paperwork and was very stressful. Hopefully we had personnel that was just a text away. Usually they answered very quickly. The app was easy to use and convenient to submit requested info and scanned docs. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Recommended.
