Overall, the home buying experience went extremely well up until the point at which a closing date was set, then moved repeatedly, without transparency to true, anticipated date of closing. This required me to re-coordinate movers, closing dates on my previous property, etc. that could have been avoided by just communicating a more realistic closing date rather than racing to close a quarter.

Love the layout of my new home and all that comes included with it, however, the smart home/connectivity features have not been very smart and frustrating. Both the sales and customer support staff are great to work with...need better security of the outdoor electric panels to prevent theft of breakers.

Good, when we reached out to them with issues they responded well.

The experience has been less than stellar. Apparently, I can't mention those things as my last review could not be posted. Things I'm happy with: Appliances, size of bedroom, open floor plan, the people who were helpful during this process. Things I'm not happy with: Still no trash can delivered, a random leak and people who were not so helpful during the process. Overall 3.5 stars.

I think poor workmanship no screens no garage door opener no deck build even though there were 30 inches between foundation they just moved up the dirt snd put grass on top. No caulking on floor for kitchen island. No quarter rounds anywhere on the floors Less cabinets in kitchen no cabinet in laundry toom. Shelves that are too high up. Bricks sticking out by the front entrance. Garage door is damaged. Driveway looks bad no gutters. Garage breakers are not strong enough. It keeps popping off no linen closet no drawers in the master bathroom. The exhaust in the kitchen above microwave is not connected. At closing of escrow just got handed a folder with no information on the HOA. Was contacted and was told the would FedEx it. Still waiting. It is a shame to be treated this way. Had a Richmond home before and was treated so much better. I will not ever recommend a Lennar home again ... More

The quality of the build is not what we expected. A private inspector found 37 issues, some major. I will provide his report if requested. Mike B. and Tyler B. have been great in trying to help us take care of the issues, but the nobody returns phone calls letting us know when repairs will be made.

The house buying experience was fairly easy. Construction was completed ahead of schedule, the ladies in the sales office were pleasant and we are now enjoying our new home. I would however recommend using an outside lender. The Lennar mortgage team was horrible. They don't answer calls ninety percent of the time and it took an average of 3 days to get a return call. We were offered six thousand dollars toward closing costs if we went with Lennar's mortgage team. My lender still beat them without any so called credits and they actually picked up the phone during business hours as well as outside business hours. The Lennar mortgage team seems to think you will simply go with them because of the credit and treats you accordingly. ... More

Be prepared to move into a house that has not been cleaned and is missing things like window screens, screen doors, garage doors, garage door openers, alarm system, smart home system, etc. Workmanship is very poor and most everyone has paint over-sprays everywhere with many things that need to be fixed. Warranty repairs are extremely slow, communication poor and repairs very sloppy - the company discounts any concerns and typically respond with reasons the home owner doesn't really have a problem

Lennar is no longer the company that use to be. The quality of their new homes is truly sad to see. My issue can be summarized in one sentence: Brand new home with a huge leak on the roof! Took MONTHS for them to resolve the issues. All they care about is closing closing closing. Consider other options for a new home purchase.

The home buying process was great! Ashely was AMAZING!!! She was there for us throughout the entire process. As for the builder Lennar, they make BEAUTIFUL homes/layouts. However, because they're rushing to complete everything, they're half-assing important details. We've had MULTIPLE issues since before closing and well after closing. Issues from electrical to appliances to sod to plumbing, to name a few. I don't think it's Lennar's fault, however, they're not overseeing that these things are in proper working condition prior to closing. No one should have to close and then have to deal with these issues weeks or months after moving in. We literally have spent the first 4 weeks after closing trying to get things fixed. It's frustrating. And when an order is placed on their site, it either takes time for them to get back to you or you as the homeowner need to contact either the plumbing, electrical. appliancce companies. Not fair at all! And I'm STILL dealing with issues 8 weeks later! ... More

Can't say I'm surprised or disappointed with our experience so far with Lennar as we had fairly low expectations given the state of builders, build quality, and labor issues. I will express that for all the "issues" that have cropped up throughout the process, Lennar has been prompt to address them in a suitable time frame. Regardless, it still astounds me that there isn't more attention to detail during the build process so they didn't have to spend so much time, $$ and resources fixing things that could have prevented in the first place.

We put a contract on a house at the framing stage, and were local so we visited almost weekly. We did NOT have a qualified or present CM and that created a lot of hassles, especially because he was demoted right before we closed and our Customer Care Manager, Stephen, had to really perform miracles to get us to closing. We actually are very pleased and love our house in the end. Pros: Warranty Dept,, Stephen(!), massive kitchen storage (Thayer model), excellent layouts and nice finishings. Cons: Wonky, narrow door openings to bathrooms and closets, houses don't come with garage door openers or window screens or gutters, and lack of disclosure on huge property management companies buying up large swaths of lots surrounding you--my street is probably 80% rental homes which would have definitely affected my decision to buy in my particular community. ... We were very happy with Lennar when we bought the home and especially our sales agent , Hyatt, but post closing the customer service has been slow, unresponsive and low quality. A number of major issues were incomplete on close and to date have not been resolved. We are frustrated!

To start I sat down and filled out the paperwork to start the process of getting my house built in October of 2021. I was in the process of selling my house so I was only able to put down a portion of the deposit required. After I sold my house in November I was able to pay the rest. From there things went south. I was originally told that we would be in the house in April/May of 2022. I found out that the plat took a month to record and then the permits were not applied for until January of 2022 with a start date in February. This pushed our closing back to July of 2022. Once the building started everything went pretty smooth with minimal delays. The week before we were supposed to close we had a New Home Orientation that we went through and marked things that needed fixing including a large crack in our driveway. We were told those would be fixed at our next meeting which occurred a week later. When we pulled up to our house the day before we closed we noticed that the concrete in the driveway had been broken up but not removed and a new piece of concrete had not been poured. Not only was this a problem we came to find out during that same time that none of things we had on the list to fix had been fixed. Our Construction Manager had left and went on vacation the week were supposed to close and he was responsible for getting these things fixed and they did not. Fortunately, the construction manager we had filling in for ours while he was on vacation was able to get everything fixed and we were able to get closed on time. With all that said I firmly believe that we would still not be in our house today had this individual not been filing in. So we were constantly lied from the beginning. ... More

Lennar has nice front team. realtor team is great though there was no clarity on when you will be getting your home built. they communicated at times, could be bit better. Construction Cordinator and team is the worse team of Lennar. they don't do any coordination on work , no follow up on their unfinished work after sell, even they promised multiple time.It feels like they don't value your time, money and experience. Five star experience just tuned to 2 star with Construction project Manager negligence.

This was my first home I have ever purchased and Lennar homes absolutely ruin my experience. First, the sales rep I worked with (Amber) needs to find a new line work. While my home was under construction, I would periodically reach out to her with questions and at first I thought maybe she was just having a bad day based on the attitude I got however, it became a re-occuring issue and I realized she was just a completely rude and nasty person. You should never tell a customer if they have any questions or concerns feel free to give you a call and then when you call with a question you act as though I am bothering you. The construction Manager (Justin) is a complete liar, he said the day I was scheduled to close they would have the items fixed that were marked during my final walk through. The day I closed none of the items were completed and still my door is not painted. Imagine having a brand new home and a door is unpainted. The workmanship done was poor as well as the quality control. They installed a ring video camera door bell which do not work. They didn’t even leave me the box it came in. I have been fighting with the ring company for the last month on helping me to get it in working order. My shower rod in my second bathroom completely fell apart the first day I moved in. All of my bathrooms were clogged two weeks after I moved in. Again cheap poor workmanship. The purpose of buying a brand new construction home was so I didn’t have to play fixer upper and this home is making me do just that. To all prospective buyers please do your research, there are far better builders to work with. Lennar is not the builder to purchase your brand new home with and based on my experience I would not ever work with them again in the future. ... More

Once you sign your contract, you become just antother number to Lennar, from the Sales Center to the Construction Foreman. They are not forth coming with information, progress updates are elementary at best. The management team is more concerened about the "sticks in the air" than they are about your home. Also, tell your buyers agent to read their contracts too, make sure they get paid on the whole house and not just the "base price" of the ho,e The sales contracts and all the addendums ore to protect the seller, not the buyer. Overall, we had an amazing experience. Everything went smooth and everyone we dealt with were fantastic! We couldn’t be happier and could not recommend Lennar enough to anyone. Job well done :)

Building process slow due to supply issues. Minor quality issues upon moving in, but soon to be resolved. Lennar Mortgage company a waste of tone, very poor Customer relations and constant requests for more and more data . Even required my Wife’s initial Naturalization papers after being a US Citizen for over 50 years ! Supposed to gain access to community website after a short time, but already here for 7 weeks and no contact. So very poor community relationship.

Overall, house is solid. However, towards the end of the build, a person could tell it was rushed. Windows not shutting right, pocket doors rubbing against screws, kitchen faucet not retracting, a bent bar connected to garage door to the garage opener, etc. The good news the warranty’s service people are quite prompt and very professional. Truly appreciate their completeness of at least 12 items needing to be corrected.

They closed home without fixing all the problems I mentioned. And now I'm struggling. Their responsiveness to issues are really zero. Also, the material they build is not so good. I will never recommend anyone to buy from Lennar.
