Richard seemed like a glorified babysitter over workers but really knew nothing. Lee knew more .House was DEFINATELY not checked for problems and repaired before sale was complete.

Good parts: great floor plan and house is functional. Bad parts: lots of finishing defects that don’t get fixed right away. Then you have to deal with crappy customer service. Example: bad paint job on exterior fascia - someone came to fix and used the wrong paint color - how does that happen? Example: During the final walk, we marked dozens of problems to be fixed with masking tape. Only the documented major problems were addressed and all of our tape was removed without resolution. Several items could have been made much better in this experience. From a quality standpoint every item, and there we a lot, could have been done the right way the first time and kept everybody's stress level down. Most items are as cheap as they can go, cabinets, closures..... We never got the trustworthiness we would have liked. We built in a 55 plus, and most of the time you just got an automated e-mail, hardly ever a person to explain, and they would come 5 at a time. The home buying process in the beginning was very fast which was good. However, there wasn’t much communication as to what “phase” we were in or status updates after signing the purchase agreement. As first time homebuyers, we were pretty lost with the whole process. The house is lovely, the walk through was smooth & easy. Loan officer was very inexperienced and could reply to questions. At last experienced loan officer explained things better. Also faced that questions were answered late than expected. Overall experience is good, but could be better .

They had us go sign papers across town during an ice storm knowing full well that it wouldn’t record because the trades had not been able get to the house to fix the blue tape issues due to the weather. The next day we were supposed to have our final walk through. I emailed them that morning at 9:00 am asking if it was going to happen at 11:00 because the weather was still bad. No response. The condition at closing was as is from the walkthrough. Blue tapes were removed without item taken care off. Issues had to be repeated numerous times prior to it being taken care off even when documented. The space to the attic and in between floor was painted shut..now either a knife or something must be use to cut out in order to assess the location. At the end, Tyler had to work on resolving most of the issues on his own in order to close. Closing was pushed by a week. I have purchased Lennar homes in the past, however this house will be my last.

Our sales rep Karina was super helpful and respectful she was there to answer any of our questions that we had. The title guys were also very nice and helpful the walk through goat of our home was a horrible experience being first time home buyer Scott the one who led the buyer walk was pushy punching the home himself instead of attending our needs and concerns on the home. But Karina was there to ease our minds and help us get through that obstacle to continue with the purchasing process. Big shout out to Karina.

Make sure the house key is properly rekeyed before they hand over, they don’t care much once the closing is done. They focus on selling new homes only all the time.

The most important thing I would suggest to perspective buyers is to be at the home site weekly, address the concerns as you seem them and make sure you do not close on your home until all punch items are resolved. Also make sure you get your own home inspector.

Interior paint not well done. The house at closing was not clean. There was trash and building materials in the garage at closing. I had dispose of trash and building materials just to park in the garage. Lennar could do better but it doesn’t seem like they care.

Some of the people that we work with were amazing and sweet but there were others that weren’t too friendly. When we contact them they would seem annoyed. The home we brought was suppose to be “move in ready” by a certain date. Once we closed on the home they clearly did not finish everything in the home, it seemed quickly put together. A lot of mishaps with the home, I’m glad they have a one year warranty on the home but to find numerous things wrong with the home that weren’t fixed during the blue tape walk through was disappointing. We like the style of our home, but the finishing details are not the best. The crown molding is poorly installed. Very obvious joints are visible. The appliance package is not the best either. Our microwave stopped working after 3 weeks. Took almost a month to get a new one. Our customer service person was great in getting this solved. If it weren’t for Chris C. We would still be waiting. Initially it started out wonderful. However, once I decided to purchase and made my deposit, the communication went bad meaning I had to four people emailing me to send them the same info. I had to include all four of them in an email asking why don't they communicate with each other. I had the mortgage person, the mortgage assistance person, the realtor and the assistant of the assistant emailing me. I was asked for my passport and was told that this is needed by underwriter. My loan officer never talked to me about this. This is racial discrimination for me, I haven't been asked for my passport in any of my previous home buys. I am planning to file complaint with Consumer forum on this.

So the home is nice for the most part, the yard is a good size. My only concerns were that the closing was a bit of a mess and it was hard to get a hold of certain people. Also. We have had an ant problem since the day we moved in and we’ve even paid to have someone come and spray but they keep coming in through the walls

The finance part of the process was for stressful. Loan officers sending me emails on a friday evening requested me to get documnets that was need from companies closed on weekends within 24hrs. I also had to reach out to them every time for an update on my application and see what/if any other documents were needed. Other than that the process was okay. The quality of the home is good for first time homebuyer and the price.

If you ever want to build a house with Lennar make sure to bring a realtor on your first visit. The building process is very straight forward, you get what you get with Lennar no added features other than picking your finishes. Final finished product 6.8/10

A very stressful buying experience - Gyorgyi the sales rep for Lennar was the reason for our stressful buying experience. Encourage new buyers to get everything in writing and not assume anything. Gyorgyi was like a used car salesperson - tells you anything you want to hear whether is right or wrong - just to make the sale. Ultimately, we are happy with our home; however, we just about walked away from buying a home from Lennar.

Frank blew me off as soon as he lost the sale. Sandra was to the point of being rude. Didn’t speak to me nicely, wasn’t at closing due to illness, never heard from her again. Michelle at closing was very nice. Walk thru and warranty work with Myles is spot on.
