Waited on fixing items after closing and then informed me I had to go through the warranty side. Many items wrong are amateur items, holes in walls, paint on tile floor and rugs, knobs on kitchen cabinets don’t line up, sensors missing, openings in garage, a/c draining into the garage, weather stripping left off the external doors, house never cleaned and I could go on. Not one item has been repaired, it’s been 45 days. Talked to other owners and some of their problems are worse than mine and still waiting on repairs!

Wish i never knew the existence of lennar,you guys are terrible in every way possible,i got frame with this house built with the cheapest material and if there is a chance to undo everything i signed with lennar,i would do it in a heart beat.myself and a few neighbors are coming for you lennar!!!

The construction manager did not closely monitor the work of any subs. They are basically just inputting requests and scheduling. The trim and painting on this house is the worst I have ever seen in new construction. Pages of followup needed.

Before we put our NON REFUNDABLE down payment of 5% of the purchase price everything was great. Communication was good. New home consultant was always on the ball replying to text message quickly and always avail to answer questions. After the deposit however is a different story. Total lack of communication thereafter, financing was a nightmare, home was not ready when we closed, closing is where we found out about all the hidden fees (15,000$ in extra closing fees) that Lennar preferred lender added, when we moved in the Ac was not working. Took them 3 days to find the problem. Kitchen had 1 broken cabinet to which they dropped off a whole new kitchen (10 cabinets) and 2 months later are still taking up my living room. Finish on the walls is poor. 2 closet doors are not even painted. 4 doors inside the home don't latch closed. Ceramic tile is chipped in 4 places. Garage door opener didn't work. floor was not scraped properly before putting carpet down so lumps can be felt under the carpet when you walk. Soap holder fell off the wall in the shower. Multiple calls with construction manager to have these issues resolved and nothing ever gets done. Now construction manager's phone number doesn't work and no one from Lennar has reached out. The whole Lennar experience has been great from start to finish!!! We were so lucky to buy the model home and we could not be happier!!! I would recommend Lennar 100!!!

sloppy workmanship; paint drippings on windows, floors. lack of communication. garage door still has dent. Lennar financing personnel awful. building supervisor was helpful.

Lennar has an an Organized process for home building and delivery. It also has a well defined process for post delivery warranty related issues. Lennar delivered what was promised. Supply related delays were beyond anybody’s control. However, l kept on receiving updates regarding delays. Overall good experience.

I like where I live now, but the workmanship is horrible. It’s taken forever to the job done correctly. They rush you into closing with 9 pages of work that has to be done .

Terrible experience, would not recommend.

Homebuying process was simple if somewhat rushed. The biggest issue is the lack of noise abatement between our home and the home below us. We can hear every footstep from the unit below us. This is unacceptable and Lennar does not seem to care since we now own it.

My experience with purchasing this home has been nothing but frustrating. Their communication amongst the different departments need a lot of work. Be very diligent with who you work with,. Their underwriting department has “dropped the ball” and seems to be very disorganized. I Have been in my home for almost two months but have not been able to enjoy it because there are constant issues almost every week. Most of the issues could have been taken care of if I had the opportunity to do a walkthrough before closing (which I was told would happen) - instead my walkthrough and closing were on the same day. I thought buying a home would be an amazing experience and it might be with another builder. The entire process was extremely stressful and frustrating. Lennar Corporate could careless and are pretty much useless. Good luck to anyone building with Lennar!

We just purchased April 2020 and sold April 2022 a new build Lennar townhome in Prior Lake, MN, that experience was great. The attention to detail, commitment to follow here in Punta Gorda, FL is horrible. I booked a flight and the Lennar team was completely aware that I was flying down for a scheduled walk thru August 22 so we could close by the end of August. I walk in and could not believe what I was seeing, no appliances, vents not installed, no weather stripping on front door, garage floor not done, closet doors not hung, closet shelves not hung, filthy dirty outside and in. I'm sure I'm missing several other issues. What was most amazing to me was that the Lennar construction managers said "this is all minor things, the structure is in good shape and will get the rest of it down so we can close in August as that is our "Lennar's" target date" If this was my company and crew I would have fired them all, a complete failure for a final walk thru. We did a video walk thru later that week after I had flown back home and was assured all was taken care of. We met the movers the week of September 12 and some of the issues had been addressed. Still no weather stripping on the front door, the gap was big enough to allow rain, bugs to come right on in. Many paint mars on closet doors that did get hung but looked like they have been thrown around before mounting, inside of the house we completely dirty, shelves not done in the bedroom closets, I called and asked if we could at least get the weather stripping on the front door done while we were here and was assured it would be taken care of, 7 days later it was not done. I was even forwarded a message from Dave that Grant told him he could not find weather stripping anywhere.................hard to believe with a Home Depot just a few miles away. ... More

I have to say, buying our new Lennar home has been one of the most stressful experiences of my life. From our walkthrough (with no lights or AC), to closing day where these issues were still not resolved, to issues that are still not resolved in our home almost 2 months after closing. You have to jump through hoops to get things fixed, even when they been notated multiple times. The materials in the home are cheap- pressed wood cabinets and laminate counters in the bathrooms. It’s very clear that once the sale was made, we were no longer a priority. The workmanship inside the home is shoddy. It’s apparent that these homes are just thrown together, and as close tighter, in order to make quick money. We will never purchase another Lennar home. I cannot imagine that this company has consistent repeat business based on the way they treat their customers. ... More

Overall great experience and very smooth process

Horrific! Nothing about Lennar says professionalism. Poor craftsmanship and poor customer service. Our new home has more issues than a fifty year old home. We basically had to do our CM’s job because he didn’t. Even the closing was a joke! What should have been a happy day was a cluster mess our house was filthy when we closed and we had over a 100 punch list items and not minor issues. We couldn’t even move in the first week we closed because our CM kept promising things would be done prior to closing - lies all lies some issues had been outstanding since pre drywall and he waited until the day of closing to fix things. If we had it to do over again - we would not buy from Lennar. Oh and the warranty folks that are just as bad waste of time they set up these calls and give you dates and times with contractors to fix issues then the vendors call you right back to schedule because whatever dates and times Lennar gives you are wrong! They close without home being ready to move in then take 60 days or more to fix any pending issue !

Horrible closing experience. The construction manager didn’t even show up for the final walkthrough. We were scheduled to close at 1PM but closed on 12AM that same day. And the house has a bunch of issues that have not been addressed. Horrible organization and even worse communication.

If I lived closer I would have watched through all stages of the build. Also, if I were able to change some of the design and products used as the build progressed, even of I had to pay more to accomplish that.

Pros : timely updates on construction Everything included and connected features like security , ring etc is good Closed on time Cons : Need to improve on finishing, cosmetic part as well like flush crown moldings , give dimmer switches in kitchen , living room

Although I have only been living in our new Lennar home for about six weeks, so far everything about the home has been great. Even minor (normal) issues have been dealt with quickly after I filed the request via the online service request portal. Bottom line, so far so good.

The lender was very non responsive - until I went with an outside lender, then they were in contact daily trying to get my business back. There were several problems in the house before and after closing, including shoddy workmanship and poor attention to detail. For example the house was clearly not cleaned before closing. To be fair, out of my list of about 15-20 items needing to be addressed they took care of just about everything timely and well done.

Overall, not a pleasant experience once deposit was made. Workmanship is below average; response time is not good and will not use Lennar on any future builds

This is actually my second brand new Lennar home. I decided to downsize. My first experience was definitely wonderful so I came back to the builder I trust. Any concern is addressed right away.
