Buyers should receive a gallon of mineral spirits and a box of razor blades at closing to clean up all of paint overspray and tile adhesive. Plus floors were filthy at possession when Lennar had ample time to clean and dead bugs were everywhere!

The granite counter in the kitchen appears to be of second quality with chips along the edges and even in the center, it lacks that rich, smooth feel usually found on good quality granite. The kitchen and vanity cabinet doors were not properly adjusting banging into walls and other cabinets. A tremendous amount of drywall debris and dust in brand new duct work being sucked into the air handler in the attic and blown throughout the vents of the home. Cracks in cement driveway going from one side all the way over to the other side, sealed and then painted so as not to be noticed but instead it ...

Disappointed by the little things

Overall, we seem to have a sturdy, structurally sound house, which is the most important. But I have been surprised and disappointed by all the little fit and finish issues that I just didn’t expect to have. I don’t see any pride in the workmanship, in making sure everything was in excellent condition before we moved in. I love my house and would probably do it over again, it’s just sad that the finishing touches were so rushed and overlooked.

I’m sorry to have to leave this comment but we’ve lived in our home for ~6mos and this issue is still as relevant today as it was when we moved in. Our new home was painted with flat paint all over, to include the bathrooms and kitchen. I have never heard of such a thing. I thought Lennar has been building homes for decades and definitely expected this to be a lesson learned many years ago. This is such a negative financial and visual inconvenience. We Can Not practice home maintenance as the walls can not be cleaned up. My husband was a painter for 5 years (residential and commercial) and ...

Definitely lots of issues closing, things to correct and fix after the purchase, some things what were done via a shortcut and we still haven’t gotten our touch up paint kit. The style and layout of the house is great and the color scheme is what we wanted. The size of the lot and location is why we went with Lennar.

Purchased home after a huge fiasco regarding pricing. Felt like I was dealing with a fly by night home consultant. Had to make a deal with the finance department after the quoted price jumped $40K in two days. Bumps along the building process, mistakes fixed. The kitchen island support and other walls are so crooked, hanging pictures is challenging. We finally have a home warranty rep who appears to be getting the ball moving on several repairs. If the house did not have a spectacular view, we would have bought elsewhere. A production home is a production home.

The employees are very helpful and the customer service is great. The actual materials used to build the home are not the best...Cabinetry is very flimsy, lighting is minimal and poorly laid out as well as the wall switches.

If they would just do what they eventually do, in a more timely manner, they would be a much better company. You must keep pushing them to get them to do the things they should do without repeatedly asking them.

The finish work is not that great and when you in your work order and they come out to fix their mistakes they make it worse and so you just end up giving up. Most of them do not speak English so you can't communicate with them.

Overall satisfaction of the home is good the overall satisfaction of the construction going in around the home is terrible. I understand the consequences of living in an area with construction but didn’t realize it would be like living in a war zone. They take little to no pride in keeping the work areas and surrounding lots clean.

Buyer beware that the repair process after you own is not very good. Simple items take a while to correct. Often the customer care team communicates a repair date as a completed work, when actually nothing has been done and it may take several more weeks to resolve. My advice is get it all 100% prior to close and do a complete and through inspection to minimize issues. Don’t accept the sales line that it will all be completed, that will just lead to frustration on your part.

What can I say, it's new construction by a national builder that has to build quickly and cheaply. They boast their energy efficiency but use a construction grade electric hot water heater and there's no additional insulation in the attic. Cabinets are already chipping and we've only been here 5 months.

The home buying process itself was great and Lucas the sales associate was very helpful and engaged throughout the process. However, after moving into our new home, it was like playing cat and mouse game trying to get work orders completed. Even for issues such as gas leak considered emergency took over a week to fix. As I'm writing this review, I had a water leak in my master bedroom 2 weeks ago and a Lennar staff member came to look at it himself and that was the last time I heard from anyone. Called and left message for him last week and called the warranty coordinator last week who said ...

Felt there was no pride in the craftsmanship and that the house was rushed for a completion date. To have things looked at or fixed, you have to call incessantly. Overall we have a very nice home but the process has been full of headaches and challenges.

We were happy to find a home that fit our needs - that gave us the space and aesthetics we wanted in an area that we are so happy with. I would be lying if I said we weren't worried going in to this transaction as Lennar has MANY negative reviews scattered about the internet. From sale to close, and beyond, I can summarize our interactions, both good and bad, as mediocre. This is largely because, I feel, there is a lack of ownership across the experience. Lennar personnel are quicker to pass the responsibility on to another person than to find a solution themselves. I'm not sure if this ...

Shimming and shaving of interior walls poorly done. Walls bowing and bulging in several places. Many times we’ve been told the fix is worse than what you have. Concrete work poorly done. We finally got the driveway replaced but we still have cracks on front steps and sidewalks.

When issues arise takes forever to resolve the issues

The house looked perfect from inside out but when we started living we found so many issues from day one. All three bathroom toilets had cracks on different areas and took almost 2 months to replace all three of them. Master bath tub faucet was dripping for a month even though they tried to fix it couple of times. Finally they figured out that it was installed wrong way and came up with a decision to cut the tub and fix it. We have another big issue with ants, it seems the house is built on top of ant hill. For the past 4 months we are struggling with army of ants that come out in the kitchen ...

Lennar has not lived up to the standards promised with upkeep in the community. They were very happy to take money for the creation of an HOA, but there are no actualized benefits (i.e. common area upkeep, community monument), and so the community looks 'cheap' compared to those in the neighborhood. There are pros and cons to buying a cookie-cutter home, and just make sure that you are aware before committing your savings!
