Great Sales Team; Difficult construction follow-up

Great experience with Adrianne, our sales consultant. To this day, it is so special to see her in the community. She has stayed friendly with us and has graciously introduced us to our neighbors. We had some difficulties with construction following up on items. We were rushed to close on December 31 with several outstanding items; particularly landscaping agreements between Lennar and the HOA. The agreement was for the builder to clean up the "buffer" area between the lot line and the golf course. This took lots of phone calls and follow up from folks that are not part of your ...

Never again…

This is my first home and I chose Lennar, but I will NEVER choose them again. My home buying experience was extremely poor from beginning to end. I started out by getting a realtor, and I would suggest a realtor for anyone, completed the paperwork portion and we went home shopping. I knew where I wanted to live so we went straight to Spring Grove. The Lennar representative,George, I first encountered seemed eager to help, but I quickly found out that he was not the rep for me; overbooking himself hours at a time and being really obtrusive. After several times of being late my realtor and I ...

Wasn’t expecting having drainage issues since day one in a brand new home

I have been living in my new house for 6 weeks and since day one I have seen a drainage issue in front of my house that I am concerned about. I am worry that it will affect the house or my driveway later on. I have seen that builders have done some repairs but it is not solving the cause of the problem. There is always an area that remains wet. This has been a headache since I wasn’t expecting to deal with this since day one in a new house. I will keep communicating with the builders until this gets resolved. Hopefully soon. I have seen at least 7 houses on my block with same or worse issues ...

Home Design is great but quality of work is subpar.

Sales team is great. Project management team are nice people but allowed poor craftsmanship from some of the subcontractors. Several framing issues, including multiple small and large holes in the sheathing, sheathing that was not flush, missing king studs, bowed wall studs, etc. Trim carpentry is poor, including horrible joints in baseboards and crown molding, door gaps that are uneven, interior doors that were cut down crooked, etc. The stackable washer/dryer in the Next Gen suite was not installed properly (i.e. discharge hose was not installed into drain leading to water discharge all ...

Price discussion experience

It would have been good to discuss with the customer before submitting the application so that there is enough room to negotiate the expected prices. However the person tried their best to negotiate, but since this was our first home buying experience, we thought that it could be a little better and transparent

Pipe Burst 30 Days After Buying Home

  • Samantha R.

The process of buying the home was excellent, each person throughout to process from touring the home and going through the application process were very nice and explained things in a way I could understand. All the Lennar representatives during the home buying process were excellent, thorough, and quick in responsiveness and I would recommend them to anyone. The issues started 30 days after we moved in. We noticed mold on the wall and turns out there was a hole in one of the pipes causing a leak and mold to spread to our primary bathroom and laundry room. We are now a month removed ...

Buyer beware. Read the contracts carefully, do a thorough walk through and list each and every needed repair or replacement. Do a follow-up walk thru before taking title. Contractor's repairs are made at their convenience, not yours.

Lennar is good but not great

I felt very pushed by the Lennar representatives to make a decision on the spot, which wasn't the best experience. The quality overall is not as good as previous new builds I've owned and the response to issues has been slow. Other issues with the neighborhood in general (mail not being delivered) have made this a frustrating experience.

Let me start by saying, the home isnt all bad.. But after building two times before with different builders, I can tell the quality of lennar and the products they use are definitely not quality. The paint is flat and already flaking off after living in my home for 2 months. The baseboards are so small, they're almost non exsistent.

The location is great. Our home is sub par in quality for a high price. If you’re looking for a home with absolutely no input or change options, this is your builder. The floors on the main level vibrate when you walk on them. The wall studs are 24” or more off center. The electrical work was poorly done. The covered ceiling fan outlets were placed in a horrible position. The fan in the great room was only 8” away from the TV and a foot off Center when installed. We had to have a new outlet placed 2ft back and a ft to the left. The fan outlet in owners bedroom same problem (2ft off center) ...

The home was mostly finished by the time I had found it and submitted the application for it. Communication was an issue, making sure corrections were done correctly..were an issue. The whole home was basically covered in blue tape. Walls had super thin coat of paint, could see under it. The caulking was so bad, and even when they came to fix it, I had to correct the painter/caulker (same guy) on how to make it look neat and correct it while he was there. He also got paint on the carpet. While I was doing the 1st walk through, he came in and started paitning everything and removing the ...

Opinion solicited by Lennar and in no way intended to libel or defame anyone. Initially our sales representative Michael verbally floated us pricing that garnered our interest. Somehow they seemed to vanish. I eventually negotiated a price that at least was close to the prices I had heard in the beginning. Then I was informed that he had no authority to sales purchase pricing and would submit my offer but thought it would not be acceptable. He later told me that Lennar wasn’t going to agree to my offer but he thought up a solution that Lennar agreed to accept. His solution was that my ...

Buying a home can be very overwhelming and Lennar did well at streamlining the process. I just felt very misled after I signed the commitment letter and made my down payment. Things I were told were included were in fact not included. Things I was told would be addressed prior to inspections were not and were just brushed off as “easy fixes”. I had to send documents back several times for incorrect numbers. My sales agent went MIA after he got the commitment letter from me. I couldn’t access my mail for a week and a half because there was finger pointing on who had my key. Ultimately ...

Lennar is a company with a lot of staff for every moment of the buying process. They guide you step by step. But they push for the closing date, and YOU HAVE TO CLOSE, even when THE INSPECTION DETAILS ARE NOT FULLY ARRANGED. I bought almost 2 months ago, and they still haven't fixed MANY details of the roof, attic, water keys, etc.
