It was a long process but worth it in the end

My new home is very basic for what the cost was. I did not have any options I had to take whatever they offered due to "COVID"? The best thing about my purchase is the location of my home, that is priceless. I am not impressed with this Lennar home, finishes feel really cheap.

Lennar makes the home buying experience easy. However, after moving in to my new home, I discovered that it seems like hired contactors do not pay attention to details. Poor paint job....drips everywhere.

5-10 experience in over all

Overall a good experience and we love the size and plan of the townhome. Sales and finance teams from Lennar were outstanding! Construction team delivered on-time but there are some differences from other builders to be aware of such as no semi-gloss paints in wet areas. Also no bathroom hardware provided, and no option for appliances or colored accent walls. I mention these as it makes the home not exactly move-in ready so plan accordingly. Little things like counters, tile, and wood decks aren’t sealed by builder so be prepped to do those as well. Soundproofing between units is acceptable but not as isolated as we’ve experienced with TM. So far warranty has been responsive, no complaints there. Would not recommend Lennar unless no other options. Too big business and corporate pushiness.

I’m very disappointed in the way they handle homebuyers .

The quality of materials and workmanship is not that good. The construction was mostly rushed to finish up in the last 2 weeks with lot of open issues. 2 months after closing, we are still chasing the warranty team to help fix items that were open during closing. Compared with other builders (like Richmond or Toll Brothers), quality of home and service is inferior.

This review is a redo of the previous one. The system did not like that I said the truth about the transaction. All my words were decent, grammatically correct and in formal tone. No bad words were used. Lennar is not the best company to buy a house from. They are border line on breach of contract for the product that they give. Complaints are never satisfied.

Bad bad bad. Issues with cement and grading of property. I can’t even walk between my house and neighbors. I lost a sneaker in the mud and lawn mower gets stuck. This was brought up at the last walkthrough and said it would be addressed. Never was and now it might cost me thousands to make right. I have 8 kids that are all adults and home buying. I have told them all to look elsewhere

Lennar is great company and produces beautiful houses. Maybe it’s just the market and material shortage that drives the houses prices. Overall I did have a great and awesome experience with the Lennar sales team.

Overall. 3/5. House quality seems like they just wanted to push these houses out. Freezer has been inoperable since day 1. Havnt been able to et fixed or replaced. Followed all recommended steps from Lennar team to get fixed. Point blaming between builder and appliance company. Master closet shelving collapsed on itself first week of puttting clothes on it. Carpet nails sticking up at edges of liners. “Was told to step over nails” I’m like “I have kids” I can’t even get them stop running around the house let alone try and tell them to never step over nails sticking out of the carpet. Tried to get me to sign DocuSign documents on incomplete tasks. DO NOT LET THEM PRESSURE YOU INTO SIGNING ANYTHING! ... More

From the misinformation given to us about our purchase, by the sales associate, to the ridiculous lies told to us by the mortgage people and the astonishing lack of quality workmanship that is out into these homes I wouldn’t recommend my enemy to buy a LENNAR home! There were so many things wrong I can’t list them all! LENNAR and all who are affiliated with this company should be ashamed of themselves!

There were many things missing and this very expensive house was sold too quickly. The build quality was not up to par for the value. The escrow finance and buying process were extremely disorganized and unprofessional. Nothing was connected to local utilities and solar which it was supposed to be...

Build time was longer than usual due to COVID but quality is good and they fixed all issues found before and after closing. I like Lennar’s everything’s included and that’s lots of value that you would need to pay extra with other builders.

Lennar allowed us to switch our deposit to a second home when we ran into problems selling our existing home. However, when we were able to switch back to our original choice three weeks later, Lennar increased the price by $5,000. The engineered wood floors showed buckling when we moved in; however, the Customer Service team agreed to replace the.floor where it was damaged.

We had given up on a new home due to Covid. But when Lennar in Lewes opened a new section with a lot perfect for us, we were thrilled. We were hoping to be in faster than the 8 months it took from contract signing. But 8 months was our absolute limit and Lennar met that goal. Communication during the construction phase was difficult until we realized that the construction manager Tom as the person to go to for reliable information. We valued his honesty and responsiveness. Now that we are in, we have some concerns in that we are the very first house in this development with a basement. We had some issues during construction that were difficult to resolve but the good news is that they WERE resolved. Now we have some initial issues with a wet wall in the basement and unacceptably high humidity levels in the house, and we are hopeful that Lennar will be responsive without too much difficulty. we wish Lennar could offer just a few more options in the house. No bathroom towel bars, the absence of any utility sink and refusal to provide one as an option seems very strange. But I guess the reality is that keeping options to a minimum helps keeps the price as reasonable as it is. And it is VERY reasonable. In sum, we are thrilled with the home. The workmanship is cheap and response to address the issues not the one we expected by Lennar. We bought another home in Texas and it was completely different, the workmanship was much better, response was quick and very little items to addressed, all security system and others associated with a smart home was already installed including providing a person to guide you with the apps to connect to your smart home. Limited knowledge of the construction staff to address the issues except Darilyn that has been helpful and looks for advise if she doesn’t know.

Very beautiful home in a beautiful area. We had everything we needed in order on our end so there was very minimal headaches the first couple of months we waited for the home to be built. Last three weeks went completely down hill. Apparently a certain part we needed for our hood vent was not available and this prevented us from moving in, according to Lennar. From the beginning, I said I don’t care about the hood vent. Just give me the home and you can figure it out after. No can do said their sales staff, it’s impossible to close without this ”critical part” because the city with not allow it. I was patient for about three weeks and our closing date came and went. Once we missed our second closing date, that’s when I began calling at least once a date for updates. At this time, the sales staff seemed to go out of their way to make this as frustrating as possible. From them not communicating within themselves, to missed deadlines, not returning phone calls etc. it was clear they had no idea what the construction side was doing. When I called, to tell them that I had young kids in school, and renters moving in on our current home and we had to move out, that did not motivate them to move any quicker. They still dragged their feet and seemed ti be enjoying it. All due to a missing part on an exhaust fan!! I finally called the called the city of Shafter to ask why they will not sign my building off with one trivial part missing and guess what? The city of Shafter said that was ridiculous and stated had Lennar shown them the building with one trivial part missing, they would’ve signed at once with the exception that Lennar return after we moved in and finish whatever they needed to finish. The tone of the city, was just as incredulous as I was. After that we were able to move in within the week with the week with the fan still not complete, but happy with our home regardless, which is what I asked for from the beginning. The one thing that the sales team said was "not possible “ was completed by me with one call. All due to a missing part on an exhaust fan!! It’s been about a month since we moved in and the Lennar sales team still hasn’t been able to get their whole team to finish the fan and we still are getting the runaround. But we don’t care because the home is ours. I can’t help but wonder, if I didn’t make a simple phone call, if they would have been still playing games? Absolutely! 1.Not much quality in construction. Construction Manager accepted the issues after giving so much of explanation. Most of the teams giving same kind of response like "it will be like that and cant do anything or putting on the other team". Eg found so much of gap between baseboards and flooring. Flooring team said we are helpless due to the ground concrete was not good. 2. Moving forward need to increase the width of Main Entrance Door from 35 in to 37 in because the new modern refrigerators are unable to carry inside because these refrigerators are having a min of 36 in width. 3. We have tried to be who we are which is very accommodating and understanding people. Unfortunately the system has not been conducive to continue that. I have asked repeatedly to have our front door replaced to no avail. I had to place a chain around the two latches to secure our home. We have informed your staff that we don’t feel safe and that did nothing. You want more disappointments call me at216-789-2649. I don’t expect a call!!!

Very dissatisfied we have built 3 homes in fl and I would never buy a Lennar home again. Very poor workmanship. Totally stressed out from dealing with them. They slap their homes together and don’t care how they look.

Johnson Developement dropped the ball. Have been in my new home for over 8 weeks now and still dont have mail servive, internet or cable. Cannot get a return phone call from them!!! They get there $$$$$ upfront

This is our first new home purchase and Lennar made it very easy for us along our journey. Larissa was our sales agent and she was incredibly helpful and responsive every step of the way. The in house financing was also such a great experience. We love our new home! Lennar did a great job all around.

Lennar was there for us through the process. We love our new villa. Most of the minor issues have or are being corrected.
