It’s been a great experience for my first home. The quality of my home is superb

We recently purchased my first home at Lennar’s Avonlea and I’m glad I did. Stephanie and Steve are simply the best. I did all the activities virtually up until closing as I was in another city and re-locating to Lakeville post closing. Stephanie was extremely professional, super responsive and detail oriented for the many many questions me and my spouse had. Also, she was very proactive in keeping us updated on the construction status. I had to do most of my interactions with Steve through emails, phone calls and zoom meetings up until closing. He was so helpful with the orientation, was/is prompt in responding to my questions and explains very patiently. Stephanie, Steve, and Eric made the home buying process very smooth and happy for my family and I would definitely recommend them. ... More

Unfortunately my agent did not check in with me regularly to give me updates. My closing date was pushed back 5 times. The last 2 times I was notified in less than 48 hours. The delays turned out not to be due to the supply chain issues but instead Lennar dropped the ball with city permits and permits for my gas meter. I was given the excuse that they lost construction staff in my neighborhood. When I moved in the "deep clean" was not done and several items needed work. It took about 3-4 weeks to resolve. I am totally impressed with the quick response from the Lennar team leaders.. When I have an issue, they are on top of it!!! I live comfortably and proud to own my Lennar home, please check them out.. you will be impressed.. I feel I am on a long vacation

closing day ,we just arrive the House was with the open doors ,, the dust was coming in ,, was sad because I was hope a great day for us an it was not, they repair the issues two weeks after closing,, hvac never had air filters,, the Hause was dirt dust everywhere ,, one hole drill in one bath why I dot kwon ?

Love having everything included. Could have done a much better job with home cleanliness when we received it. Both interior and exterior needed major cleaning. Follow up to warranty requests are not as timely as they could be. Otherwise, purchasing experience, framing walk through, and home layout are beautiful.

Signing in July for a house that would be ready in November, that would then be delayed month by month until May. How can you think you can finish a house in 4 months if it’s going to take you 10? But when it’s finally done, we were given zero flexibility in closing day. We had to be flexible for all this time and Lennar gave us nothing at all, even threatened us with a 500$ per day fine! Communication during construction and even sales was very poor and even now past closing is minimal. If Lennar is the last builder on earth, I’ll buy existing homes..

Several items were addressed prior to closing and almost none of them were addressed until closing day. A few of the larger items are still left open and un fixed or in a worse condition/state. There is a major lack of quality control over the trades. Subfloor was not prepped before pad and carpet. You can feel drywall mud through the carpet. There was a 6" hole in the subfloor, carpet guy carpeted right over it. We found it by nearly stepping through the carpet. We've been in the house 6 weeks and cannot shower in our master bath because a tile repair needed to be made. So far the glass and tile have been removed and a 2x4 trimmed back...that's it. There are wall corners that are nowhere near 90 degree angles and areas of carpet that need to be replaced (carpet is still pulled up in areas). The warranty person (Jacob) at closing was reluctant to have repairs made. He literally said it's his job to "push back." The current warranty person (Vanessa) cannot mutli task and has no call no showed, not returned calls, not seen repairs to completion. We would never recommend Lennar and quite honestly cannot wait to sell my new home to purchase with another builder. ... More

Construction delays which were not communicated prior to buying the house. Very poor communication throughout the process. House built with poor workmanship standards. And response from Construction Manager was it is acceptable per Lennar standards. I didn't knew that lennar had such low standards. Not happy with at all. Even now response is very poor if I open any ticket. And for bigger issues Lennar asked me to directly contact vendors. So accountability at all. And issues were present even before I moved into this house. I can go on and on .... If lennar really care about these reviews, please reach out to me. Ease in buying the home but some hidden problems that you won’t find until after possession.

My experience in buying a home with Lennar was great. All team members were experienced, professional, provided important information and were always available whenever needed

We were tired of playing the game of looking for existing houses for sale after only a few weeks. Most were only on the market for 48 hours or less. We heard Lennar was building in an established neighborhood and had a few lots ready to put on hold. We saw the product and the value for the money was way better than anything else. It took a little over a year from the day we signed the contract until closing. We are enjoying the home and the area so much. Once the build started the process was fast.

Make sure that you go through entire home and document all that needs to be fixed an make sure it is done prior to you signing paperwork. If not it will take forever to get it done. Lennar financial team was great.

Sales people are incorrect with information or it’s possible as per contract that materials other than what is described will be used. After the sale, communication ceases with those directly related to sale. You will still get emails from lennar that’s it.

Good but must make a priority to improve!

Dont rush into an agreement with Lennar. Inspect inspect inspect. Buyer beware.

Excellent response till the date closing is not completed, after its hard to get the response. Not satisfied with the material and appliances.

Terrible responses to work we need done. Had my air conditioner go out in the first month and had to called around to 5 different people before someone would help me. Made a request on the Lennar service page to get my kitchen island fixed and am still Waiting for it. There are staples popping up thru the carpet all thru the house. Not impressed with the quality or the service after. Would never buy another Lennar house or ever recommend it to anyone. Very dissatisfied

The house has a lot of details, is like if they are giving you the house for free, we are still waiting for a part of the refrigerator that hasn’t arrived and it’s been 2 month since we moved in. Very cheap built houses but really expensive cost

Honestly, I do like my house a lot but I am really unsure about so much. Every single employee that I worked with, leading up to closing day, was absolutely amazing. We were not able to pick anything (not customizable) but they did agree to lay vinyl for me throughout the first floor rather than carpet the bedrooms. That was a huge win and I literally could not say enough great things about the local team from sales, to construction managers, and even to the loan officer and lenders, etc. Larissa, Victor, Mickey... all great to us. However, there is just so much that went wrong before closing. Although those on the ground did everything they could to get us into our home, we had to move-in with less than stellar completion because we moved from another state and had nowhere to live and no additional time/money to continue wasting on rentals. While I feel they begrudgingly fixed some of my "nitpicky" things during walkthrough, I am still unhappy with so much when it comes to the quality of workmanship and materials (i.e. the tile in the master bathroom is hideous and only belongs in locker rooms). Not to mention, it still looks like a child caulked it. Plus, as we started living here, so many things have been brought into light. Giant holes behind the lighting fixtures because they were cut out by a one-armed man, apparently. Honestly, I am afraid what we will find after our warranty expires or whether or not I'm living in a "money pit". Based on my feelings dealing with the local team, the "people at the top" were forcing us into signing off on everything too quickly. We had no choice though - with a locked in rate as well. We were made to feel like we were doing something wrong by having SO MUCH on the list to fix before close - and we did multiple walkthroughs. I really disliked the fact that I was made to feel "petty" about things (i.e. paint color touchups with the wrong color paint)! But, how is this our fault? I am paying you for a product that my family needs to be able to enjoy for years likely (with a recession) and feel safe in. Yet, all I heard was "management this" and "management that". Well, maybe the management in their corner offices want to come down next time and take a peek at the quality you are allowing to be put out. Your buyers aren't the problem so to make us feel like an inconvenience was a huge disappointment given the experience up to that point. And, it's very clear that it was not the local team pushing - they were trying to do everything in their power to help us, make us happy, and ensure things were done "right". Specifically, like making them replace the grass in the back that someone just let die instead of saying "it will grow back in a few months" like someone did. I just don't feel good will towards the overall company, and the people running it at the highest levels. The area is great, very pretty, and they've done a nice job on the development. However, the pool is far too small for the number of homes (although I hear they're building an olympic size pool in 2 years), as is the gym. But, likely that will make HOA fees go higher and this area is already highly taxed and has MUD tax. The parks also have zero overhead cover which is insane in this heat and the playground meant for smaller children is definitely not very toddler friendly. The lots are small and hilly in areas; oddly laid out. You see everything; our back deck looks straight into our neighborn's dining room window. For the price I paid, in the market we were in, I had to concede things like lot size. However, I will likely never buy another Lennar home in a box again. ... More

This is my second Lennar home purchased, the first purchased before the collapse. I had hoped that the resilient economy and lessons learned from the past that the homebuilder is simply in the business of slamming up a bunch of houses without regard to customer experience. The home is very well designed, and the community is lovely, but from the framing to the wiring, to the plumbing, to the cabinets, doors, and windows, the labor used to construct and/or install finishes in this home are semi skilled at best. I am happy with my home, but know it will need to spend an additional tens of thousands of dollars addressing the builder defects. ... More

Still early but seems like a well built home. Staff has been friendly, responsive and helpful

We recently built our new Florida Home with Lennar. Overall, we are very happy with our experience. We bought during the period where they were requiring highest and best offers, which is a bit frustrating. Not only did we not get to choose our options, but we had to bid against everyone else. That being said, the house they delivered was mostly what we were looking for, they delivered a little bit late, but compared to other builders they were fast. The value is great compared to other builders in the area. Our Sales agent was excellent, and the service responses so far have been great as well. It's easy for people to complain about their builders, but when we look around and see the overall state of the housing market, contractor labor shortages, supply chain issues, etc., we feel that the builder did a pretty good job despite those challenges. Sure not everything was perfect, but anyone expecting perfection in this market is either going to pay through the nose, or be seriously disappointed. Overaall it is ok ok exprience. House has decent quality with no major issues. However, get every issue resovled before you move-in. Once you move-in, they say it's your responsbility. They did a poor job on lawn and now i have one side which is great and other side its just weed with in 3 weeks of move-in. they say it's my reseponsbility to ge the weed treated. I raised the concerned during the delivery about the dead pacthes and they said it's bermuda it will just grow back. it did not and now i have bunch of weed with in the 3 weeks of move-in. they really did a number on my lawn.
