Workmanship was much below expectations

My spouse purchased a home in the 70s and subsequently we purchased an additional 3 homes. This is by far the worst experience I have seen with this home builder. The homes built in 2013/4 in local area were a much better home. The materials used within the home I would consider substandard and/or meets the bare minimum housing requirements by law. After moving in found many things that could have made the home and builders more successful.

Make sure you double check everything on your final walk through. Builders don’t care about craftsmanship.

Problems every square inch of the house and yard.

Delayed closing caused me to extend my rental. On the day of closing my Salesperson was delayed with my keys and it caused the movers to hold my furniture on their truck for 3 hours extra. He knew we needed to close on Dec 15th. All the paperwork was signed, bank rep knew closing was on the 15th The construction crew tapped into my electricity on three different occasions. It wasn't until 1 week later that a sign was placed In front of our home that it was owner occupied.

Average home for average price. Not very responsive to issues.

We closed on home 2 months ago and still require over a Dozen repairs to be addressed and one is security related. Have made numerous requests to have these items repaired. Seems that Lennar is focused on mass production instead of Quality. Overall, we love the neighbor's and facility attributes.

the closing process seemed rushed...Lennar should allow small upgrades during construction...ie Noseeum screens...light fixtures etc

House layout is great, however workmanship could have been much better. Can tell items were rushed and done quickly. There were things that passed inspection that shouldn’t have. For the price we paid for the house, I’m disappointed that we already have to fix items 2 months later.

Workmanship was poor at best. House closed on December 15th Did not really take possession until January 18th

The home is OK but you can tell that they use base home building items with NO extras. Lennar would not allow any modifications and the quality of the home is average to below average

Check everything specially power outlets, garage door opener should not connected to power outlet switch. Exhaust fan not working properly etc .

They promised some thing and they didn’t deliver. work inside of the house is not that great. Quality of the product is not great.

Responsiveness to the problems reported to Lennar is pretty bad. They don't even acknowledge the repair reports submitted to them almost a month ago.

Once our sale was completed sales representative was disinterested in responding to our concerns. Very disappointed in his performance. Initially construction supervisor was reluctant to meet with us. However he has been very helpful since our first meeting. Punch list staff (new home owner orientation, etc) was not particularly knowledgeable about appliances, heat system, eero system, ring system, etc. Warranty mamager has been great to work with. Lennar needs to improve communication and follow-up and training at all levels. Also, Lennar needs to provide better supervision to subcontractors. We understand that houses are still being built in this development. However, subcontractors throw construction debris, food containers, cans, scrap wood, and all varieties of junk around the neighborhood. Not only is this unsightly but it is a safety concern. ... The lennar staff is great . As for the quality of work done on house , poor quality on finishing and concrete . Most trim has big nail holes, broken pieces or poor patch work and even worse paint , if painted at all along the bottom trim, driveway has multiple cracks, chunks broken out, pitting , and exposed rock where finish wasn’t completed . This is a brand new construction build , things that should have been replaced were just attempted patch jobs . As for the Lvp floors, glue seeps through multiple seems throughout house, several planks are lifting and just left that way . Kitchen flooring deeply gouged and scratched. Between range and island . Final review will be based on if and when these issues are addressed and on what timeline they are fixed . Communication was not clear during the process. Had to chase down contacts. Continuous pushbacks with no explanation of why. Overall, I would not buy another home from the builder based on that part alone. I was so glad to be done with all reps in every process during the process. Nice home but stressful process to close. Not worth it

My biggest disappointment is very poor communication, slow or no response to issues. Workmanship and materials are both mediocre.

I closed on October 28th. I still don't have the certified gold roof paper work for my insurance agent. I still don't have my signed completed paper work from the closing. The home was dusty and not prepared at time of closing. Get this... I'm a real estate agent who build his last 2 homes. I had to buy due to 1031 exchange.

Very disappointed with Lennar and their ability to call back or even acknowledge emails/phone calls/texts. Also with whom they use for the HOA at this time. The construction manager however was very pleasant and forthcoming.

While we love our new coach home, we were disappointed in the construction. The quality of the work need to be upgraded. Paint sloppiness, busted front door, miter joints off, not cleaned before we moved in. Why install screens if you have to have them replaced with noseeum screens at a 750.00 cost? The staff is very friendly though. I do think they want to make things better.

Everyone I dealt with was polite, The most frustrating thing was the home wasn’t ready when the closing date came, Everything was rushed to get the certificate of occupancy, I still have things on my check list that needs to be completed, I paid cash for my home and complied to all the things that was ask of me, I expect the same from Lennar. I have other friends that are looking for homes in this area and ask me about my buying experience, I drove 300 miles for my first walk thru to look for minor things that would need repair, in my astonishment the house was still in construction, no cabinets, no carpet, no bathroom toilets or cabinets, not painted, etc. Two weeks later the final walk thru a lot had been completed but the kitchen stove wasn’t installed or gas wasn’t on, the heat and air was just being turned on, all this made me very nervous about closing, as I have met some of my neighbors they said their home buying experience was very much the same, I am not sure if you are aware of this on the corporate level, I researched Lennar homes and think I made a good choice when I decided to buy one of your homes, all I am asking is to give me what I paid for, I hope my reviews can help you streamline your home sales experience. ... I have found more than enough issues with the build of this home. Today I needed to get something from behind my drive that fell. What do I know it's a hole in the wall begins the active. Cabinets busted up and stove wobbly on a piece of cardboard! Not only that but I cannot get the stove back in its place because it is so crooked. Whatever took place to squeeze it in place that busted the cabinets is something. I can't do. Now I'm stuck here with a stove in the middle of my walk area in kitchen. My light switches were put in upside down. The shower door was put in incorrectly resulting in a leak. I'm so over this place. I will never refer a Kennard home to anyone. ... More

Finishing is very bad. Lennar should have been given more options for having the sun room or back yard porch. there is space which can be planned rather than making wastage.

My overall experience purchasing a Lennar home was not the best it could’ve been but not terrible either. There were items that I asked if were included and was told yes to only be told later it’s not included with the collection. I didn’t get an apology of incorrect information only an unfortunately which is not an apology. Nothing offered because of the incorrect info either. You have to continuously stay on everyone from beginning to any individuals in between to closing. I even received a phone call from the VP of Lennar mortgage in regards to a survey I left. I missed the call and returned it 30 mins later to not get an answer and I’m still waiting on my return phone call. Lennar has to do more than just checking a box. ... More
