Lennar - Many items were not completed until after closing.

Many items were not completed until after closing. Three months later and we're still waiting for a lamp post. For those things that have been done post-closing, we had to wait weeks for a response.

Lennar - Construction superintendent was absolutely unresponsive.

Construction superintendent was absolutely unresponsive. In fact he never showed up for my walk through. He made nine commitments and never met one.I closed on the house on April 27th and did not receive house keys until June 19th. Still don't have closet doors.I intend to caution every new owners of what to expect when they move in.On the other hand the sales personnel were outstanding. They were responsive and really tried to assist in getting things done. I don't know how they can work with the construction superindent. It's a shame because you have a good product and concepts and one ...

Let's start with the workmanship and materials: zero stars. Lennar's work screams sloppy, rushed, and lacks attention to basic details. There were several parts of our home that were left half painted or unpainted. Places that we didn't notice during the final walk through because we had to hurry and get to the closing office. There were cracks around our door locks in which they tried to just paint over it instead of replacing the door. The electrical outlets and AC vents are all installed crooked. The AC in the upstairs rooms were not working. The caulking looked like a 2-year old did it. ...

The things needing fixing are so basic. For example majority of the doors don't close without rubbing against the door frame. Craftsmanship is poor on the baseboard trim in many places. Paint edging where it meets the ceiling looks like I did it myself without any care.

Lennar - Sales people seemed to say anything to make a sale even if they

Sales people seemed to say anything to make a sale even if they later couldn't or wouldn't follow through on things. Also, the fact Lennar decided to no longer do 1-year touch ups was not made clear until warranty walk-through, I've never heard of a builder not doing at least a 1-year. My previous builder did 6-month and 1-year. Not being able to make any alterations, even simple things like moving lights is ridiculous for the price range. If they aren't going to let you pay for extra recessed lights (or even just move them), then they should let you bring a licensed electrician ...

Lennar DENIED my claim!!

When we first looked at the home we noticed that there was a large crack in the driveway concrete. When we showed up for the walk through the cracked concrete was replaced with new concrete which is a complete different color from the original. Crazy thing is they only needed to replace one section (1/6) and they did 2/3 of the driveway so now the driveway looks like a patch up job. Lennar DECLINED my request to fix the problem stating that they are not responsible if there is any staining or discoloration of the concrete driveway!!! I can not believe that LENNAR would allow this patchwork ...

Lennar - The person who inspected each job after it's finished let most

  • Skip L.

The person who inspected each job after it's finished let most of the sloppy job go and passed it on to us. So many things were not met the specification or quality and they let it go. This is the first time I built a new house and I could not believe i will have this type of experience. Personally I don't think it's Lennar fault, it's the person who is in charge of final inspection of each job/items that let it go. If I'm in charge of inspection this house or my house I would tell the contractor to do a better job or redo the job until it's good. I don't have anything good to say about ...

Lennar home buying overall experience was great with minus one star. Positive: excellent, trustworthy sales team; weekly photo/video updates were very helpful; smooth communication with construction team (prior to closing only); easy and clear closing process; good material for the price. Negative: several outstanding issues (due to supply chain issues, eg windows, window screens, bathroom mirrors) are still not resolved 6 weeks after the closing (still not know when they are fixed); without reminder from the buyer, no proactive communication from construction team After the closing. Overall we are very pleased with our new home. COVID-related issues caused delays and unexpected changes but I don’t fault Lennar for those. The home is well built. External issues should have been avoided. Our home is on a cul de sac and was positioned such that the driveway has to be curved. The issue is complicated because utilities and a street light are located adjacent to the driveway. Lennar is working with the county to improve access, but this should have been addressed long before closing. The same issue affects other nearby homes on our street and the next street with a cul de sac.

So far the experience has been mediocre at best. A multitude of problems and nothing gets resolved quickly. Follow up to see what action was taken of if an action is take is slow or non-existent. You do a virtual visit and then never hear have a follow up on what is being done. it has been frustrating- they need to be more responsive and communicate on a regular basis rather than having to chase them to find out when/what is being done.

1. Even though we reported these issues during pre-drywall inspection, none of those were fixed 2. Forced us in a threatened way to close the house even without fixing the reported issues. 3. I fell and tripped in the room because of pulled out carpet, frames and closet doors left in the room without any safety concerns. 4. Multiple meetings and multiple people come in and go to look at the issues. This affected my work and personal life significantly in a negative way. It is unacceptable and negligent on their part to let us suffer this long.

The overall experience went pretty well, though after being in the house for a month, there are definitely things that look like shortcut were taken. Pavers not being even, no sand in papers, doors not being cut straight, dont stay locked, garage door not closing on its own, pavers not level with the garage floor, door jams not cut straight. screen doors are still missing for the slider doors. Overall we love the house, but in paying this much for a house, I dont appreciate when it looks like things were over looked and in trying to get them remedied, the process is taking weeks to get ...

We have had multiple issues with this house - too many for the price. Customer service is always quick to respond, but getting quality work is another story. The most on-going issue...I still have not been able to get another router to improve my internet (we've been in the house almost 2 months). They supplied us with 1 router that is good for 2000 square feet - our home is almost 3,200. This is our 3rd new house and we will never purchase a home from Lennar again.

We closed a month late (weren't told till the day we were supposed to close by the builder). I get that happens. Didn't have a pre-close walkthrough. No closing celebration. Closed with an open punchlist of items that STILL aren't fixed and it's been more than two months. Had multiple conversations with multiple people and constantly getting the run around. If everything was done right, we would LOVE the house. But the quality (or lack of) shows through in just about everything

Long story short, I was told several times that an irrigation system would be provided since that was part of what Lennar promised upon the original sales pitch. Multiple people assured me this would be ok and they would take care of it. Then 3 weeks before closing I’m told I wouldn’t be getting it….. If you don’t like it you can get a refund and go elsewhere. Horrible customer service. How can you trust a company that doesn’t make good on their promises? I even wrote my frustrations to the Lennar corp office. Didn’t even get a response. Im very disappointed with the integrity of LENNAR’s ...

Our new home took 21 months to deliver, it was partly because of COVID situation which is beyond anyone's control but the approvals with county took more time than expected due to property boundary issues. Lennar's communication was very poor during this time and we were notified only when we escalated it. But once all the approvals were received the construction went as planned and home was built in 7 months. On the build quality, the materials used by Lennar were of good quality. The workmanship was average. The construction manager was helpful and answered every question with patience ...
