Not what I thought I was getting

Need to slow down the construction a bit and put a little more pride in the build. After purchasing my home I began to see the “quick fix” repairs around the house. Also do a better job with the fencing. There are three different fences in the community. It looks tacky.

Walk through is rushed and it's obvious no one from Lennar walks the home before closing. Was told floors would be cleaned but 3 months later I'm still unable to get white paint off the floor. No help for that or significant cracking in door frames and baseboards because that apparently is cosmetic. If I could do it all over again I would insist on a 2nd walk through and be more diligent to ensure issues were fixed before closing.

High hopes were crushed...

I wish I had better things to say about Lennar. We were rushed into closing on our home when it wasn't ready. It was presented to us filthy. Took us literally almost a month to get everything clean inside. We've had floor joist problems where the floors bounces when you walk on it. They added a support wall in the basement which did help but my brand new home should of had proper joists installed in the first place. The concrete company they use is awful. Our driveway is the worst I've ever seen. It's overworked, pitted, cracking/chipping and looks terrible. They're supposedly working ...

Buying a home to Lennar you have to have a lot of patience, don't trust everything they say, specially time frames to fix things. Be extra cautious. And very detailed oriented at the time of closing as there will be a lot of things wrong or missing in the house. You'll have to take a lot of work time off to attend to all submitted warranty request. Also, pay close attention to the roof, rainy season just started in SW Florida and there are more than 5 recently built homes with tarps on their roof. Cheap materials used throughout the home. When I bring issues up in the 1 year warranty, I’m told to wait until it’s closer to 1 year of being in the home before submitting problem tickets. Just overall bad experience. Will definitely go with a different home builder for the next home purchase.

Great builder if your ok with everything they offer

We asked for a previously offered counter top, Granite, in our master bath. You would have thought we requested the holy grail. they acted like they "might" be able to do it during the 9 months build time but ultimately didn't get it done. I have expressed my disappointment over this issue multiple times with Lennar.......no response or follow up, they don't care. Love the home, don't like the service.

While I do love my house, I've had several warranty issues come up that remain unresolved with no action plan. Lennar was great up until I closed on my home. Since then, it's been a struggle to get answers on when and how my issues will be fixed.

I really enjoyed my new home up at the amount of repairs needed and the timing is not responding from the associates was unacceptable this is a new subdivision and I have heard several complaints from my neighbors as well

Homebuying experience

My first time homebuying experience has been harrowing. It had taken four months for my driveway and walkway to be laid, and I'm still waiting on the landscaping. I get most of the process is weather contingent, but I've seen other homes around me completed and the owner have yet to move in. It has been an inconvenience having to park on the street with limited parking. I love my home, but the process has been exhausting.

It's been a nightmare for the first 3 mos so far. As you spend time at the house you see more and more mistakes and lousy craftsmanship, from doors mishung, over screwed hinges, misroutered strike plates, bulges and divots in the plaster and Sheetrock over bulging framing. The absolute cheapest , but good looking kitchen and bathroom cabinets-glued and pinned together but with bad finishes on doors and pins sticking straight out of the drawer boxes and glue just floating about the boxes. When I read the Lennar builder site everything seems to be high end qualities. The loan officers and other personnel are great but the building quality and workmanship is cheap, lack of caring, and attention to details. It shows in the tiles uneven and not all full has adhesive, terrible caulking, painting is cheap and easily marked, cheap shower tiles with grout not sealed, cheap carpet, no shower doors, drain very slow, washer and dryer small and low end of GE, the water line was set up incorrectly and full of sand, sliding doors constantly have bugs and debris coming through, extremely ...

Lennar builders don’t tell you the entire truth regarding warranty and how nothing falls under the warranty. Smoke screen of things you will receive half of the extra amenities pool etc aren’t even built because they’re so busy constantly building houses!

Lennar not very responsive to issues post purchase

We had 2 major issues, water heater not working with outside temperature about 60 degrees, AC not working with outside temperature 95 degrees. We had to take cold showers for 4 days. We had to live in 90+ temperatures without AC. We had to escalate to get anything done. Both of the above are emergencies but not for Lennar

Homes are maid cheaply no quality workmanship and material. They just look pretty. Drive way, for a 4 car garage was designed poorly. Not even 2 cars can park next to each other on the drive way without getting too close to the house. Even though I paid 25k for landscaping in the backyard, I had no input how to make it just a rectangle patch of grass with no nice shape. Up to moving in was fine! I’m really not impressed with the construction manager Dave. He arrogant and condescending. When I did my pre move in I came with my kids because they were excited. He looked disappointed and told them to go upstairs while we did it without asking me. That was very rude. I called him because my water dispenser in my fridge is spraying everywhere and I said I’m not sure I can fix it, he stated if I can’t you can’t. That was strike 2. Extra switch should be added in the rooms for fans. Double ended switch should be added in the foyer. All bathroooms have no napkins no holder amd towel holder and unutiltized space next to master bedroom sink which could turn into closet. Master bathroom does not have a lock, a tub and a window. No fans and no switches extra provided in the house. Internet point should be in all the rooms but there is only 3. There is no handles in the kitchen cabinets. There is no light in the driveway. Fence material is cheap not good quality.

While the layout works for our needs, there are several issues that reflect a lack of attention to detail and some questionable material choices. One of the bedroom doors is misaligned and does not close properly. I would like you share my honest opinion here. We moved from other city and it was like 5 hours drive from there to here in Katy TX. I saw my house when I almost bought it. The1st big shock that I received by this house was the door of bathrooms that are NOT wheelchair accessible with a special need child it is so hard that no body can imagine. Kitchen pantry and closets are so small though we have plenty of rooms in the house lennar needs to find some better builders in this regard or people who make maps of the houses. If you want to buy from Lennar please check thoroughly everything.
