Dealing with the sales person was difficult. She told us the house will have a few things and then on closing they were asking more money for the things that should be included. They did not allow us to move the data points around the house and did not allow us to add more data points in rooms where it was needed. We found the process difficult and not to our full satisfaction. We are planning on getting extra work completed after closing. If you plan on getting a Lennar home make sure you are in touch with the project manager to be sure the process is going according to plan. I am satisfied with overall Lennar experience. Everything was build according to my specifications. Company representatives spent great deal of time with me helping to choose options and delivered the house in planned schedule.

As first time homebuyers we were a little out of our depth. We were really pleased with the purchase process. Everyone on the Lennar team was warm, accommodating, friendly, and professional and walked us through all the stages of the process.

In the four homes we have had built in our lifetimes, this was the worst experience from start to finish with having a new home built. It took over 15 months to complete the home. This was a subdivision 1 level 1850sf cookie cutter home nothing custom. It became very apparent that Lennar was overcommitted and had to much WIP (work in progress) open which basically paralyzed productivity. For the entire duration, we had to be the ones to prod and ask for updates, which were vague and usually a bunch of excuses. Lennar has many issues but it’s biggest issue is zero ownership of anything. I’ve never in my career seen so much lack of ownership and quick to blame others and not just address/correct the issue. When it was finally getting close to the finish line after blowing four “it will be done in a month” guesstimates, we were finally told that the home is ready for walk through. We flew across the US for the walkthrough only to be insulted by it being completely undone and trashed. We arrived and the homes doors and windows were all wide open to the elements. It was dirty and filthy throughout. Missing doors and damage to the finishes everywhere. It was a complete waste of our time and money to even come down. We ended up closing about 3 weeks later and although they did a couple things, when we moved in the floors were filthy and had caulk and paint all over them. Tile floors had chips and scratches, the trim was chipped and dented, doors had holes in them, closet doors were not even hung just leaning against the walls in the halls, the garage floor was dirty and had to be sprayed down due to a blue chemical on the floor, the garbage disposal was not connected but rather a live wire where the switch would be was exposed under the sink. Basically we bought a used resale home and not a new home. There’s no way you could call this a new home when you look at the finish work…it is so dented and beat up it looks like a lived in 10-20 year old home. Then to top it all off the first day of move in we had a roof leak. This was the first time we got to see Lennar quickly jump into action. They came out and started with dry out equipment and tarped the roof. After about 4 days of dry out, which was very loud by the way, they had the roofing contractor come and fix the leak. Turns out the leak was due to shoddy waterproofing work at the ridge vent, after talking with the remediation folks and neighbors this seems to be a common everyday thing….no biggie for Lennar. Again not very new house Feeling. Two months into owning the home, Lennar is actioning the items on our initial 25+ item list, which my expectations are so low of Lennar that I’m actually pleasantly surprised that they are jumping into trying to address the issues. Still have a nice big ceiling stain in the home along with missing trim from the roof leak, which again doesn’t make you feel like you bought a new home, but hopefully in the coming weeks they will fix and hopefully they fix it like new and not just more amateur hour finish work workmanship. If I were consulting Lennar, and they should pay me for this consult, I would tell them their biggest issues are extreme lack of ownership from bottom to top and at every level of management, extremely poorly managed job sites, opening up too much WIP and not being able to effectively and efficiently complete the work, and some of the poorest quality finish work ever, which in the end that’s the biggest thing most of their customers are going to see and judge on. I truly am amazed that this is a publicly traded $12 billion a year in revenue builder. I work for a pathetic $1 billion a year in revenue company and they would never allow this level of incompetence and lack of ownership management. They would fire everyone from bottom to top until the issues were rectified. This is also a company, which serves the electric utility industry, that will send one of their private jets and engineers and equipment if the customer has an issue immediately. They actually care about their customers because as they say, our customers never have to buy from us ever again. I feel like that is a motto Lennar should adopt to attempt to strive to something better than where they are today. ... More

Our sales rep, Shannon, was the highlight of our experience. What a bubble! She kept us informed of the progress of the house. Our Lennar mortgage lender was very very helpful, but the advent of electronic signatures and the overwhelming number of emails made it a bit burdensome. Our problem came with the quality control. Much of the work was sloppy with obvious oversight from quality control supervisors. Our air conditioning wasn’t working. It turns out there was no power attached to it. Who signed this off that it was working properly? Surely, it must’ve been checked on a checklist. I’ve sliced the bottom of my feet multiple times where the carpet meets tile because the teeth that hold the carpet in place weren’t tamped down. Some doors are very difficult to open and close. Two rooms in the house are unable to be adequately cooled even with every other vent in the house closed off. There was paint, adhesive and cement all over our front porch. It’s taking multiple calls to address this, and it’s still not done. The garage trim is a complete disaster with pieces missing, visual defects, and foot print stains on many of the pieces from where the workers stepped on them. This is still not been remedied. If these obvious things are overlooked, what has not been done right in places that we can’t see? It’s a pretty house, but I would never recommend Lennar to a friend who was a potential buyer. ... Happy to be a lennar family in connerton

It started well, but we are now on our 4th contractor. We love the house, but still waiting on screens. They planted sod right after framing was done, but there were delays, so our new sod went unwatered for months.

This was My 2nd time buying a home but the first time I did it without a realtor and Lennar made the experience pretty simple and straightforward.

In today’s home market, I feel more comfortable knowing that Lennar has made an effort to repair any areas of oversight during the build process. Also, with the 1yeat home guarantee I’m protected.

Issues from start to finish. Deadline was off by 6 weeks, major incomplete projects after closing, NO timely responses, several points have to be deducted for quality of craftsmanship and supplies.

Hello. I would equate my buying experience with Lennar to be average. Closing was delayed multiple times due to obvious supply chain issues. Communication was above average but the attention to detail in the construction of my home was lacking. Cleanliness was a problem and Multiple punch list issues were recorded AFTER my closing with no clear direction on how they would be addressed. I am not local so email or phone calls are critical in understanding issues going on with our home purchase. Setting up utilities took some figuring out. Would be nice to have a welcome aboard packet for new home buyers to outline everything we need to be aware of when purchasing with Lennar and ChampionsGate gate community. ... More

I have over one month trying to fix cracked curbing in front of house. Watched as other homes still being built had their issues fixed while my request go ignored only because our home was already turned in to us. I have videos and pictures and will contact news outlets if necessary over this workmanship and lack of service.

This is our second home with Lennar and I’m extremely disappointed with this experience. Lennar Mortgage was more interested in finishing their paperwork a month out rather than handling things at a proper pace. My husband felt harassed by them. On closing day no one bothered to contact me to sign documents. I had to make phone calls to get an appointment. I’ve had to put in numerous work orders because our house of shoddy workmanship. I’m still waiting on resolution on items.

1. The mortgage interest rate offered when I was ready to lock in was almost 7 tenths of a percent higher than the national a average. I was compelled to shop with another bank in the 11th hour. This was then used as a tool to negotiate the rate below the national average. I thought keeping the title services and financing under Lennar's domain would be worth a slight premium, but they swung for a greedy outcome. 2. The Closing process was completed in last minute style. A.Materials and labor shortages were certainly an ongoing problem nationally, and our new build had numerous milestones to complete with one week prior to closing. Since Lennar is publicly traded there appeared to be intense pressure among its staff to close our property and benefit their 10Q filing. Here it is nearly two months after closing and numerous punch list items remain uncompleted. Craftsmanship was rushed. B. The actual closing date to sign all the documents remotely was a extremely stressful. I supposed to receive instructions a day head. I ended up calling Lennar's title company an hour before the scheduled close to enable instruction access. Then logging in with the remote closer was a technical challenge ... More

Charlie was great to work with. He answered all questions promptly and made himself available at the home site to personally review any questions that we had. He was very focused on quality or workmanship, which showed in the final product.

Everything went smoothly from start to Finish. Great friendly experience, quality product and timely delivery. So happy with my new home!

Lennar was a great builder back in the day. The process was lengthy but that was expected. The wall paint is awful. The trim needs work and no one fixed the issues, which is unacceptable. No one will fix the issue since me and my wife signed the dotted line. Lennar knew of the issues. Tiles are not correct, the floor squeaks and they say it was done correctly. The rug isn't professional. My feet sink in the carpet to where I feel the hard floor. The lights on the ceiling fell and this is a new build, nothing should be giving me issues. The trim doesn’t meet together…..another issue that was brought to their attention; however it was not addressed. If I could rate responsiveness to the issues outlined in the wall through….. I rate a zero or negative 1. For a first time homebuyer, Lennar isn’t the ones to go to. Folks, do research prior to choosing a company to build your home. Sorry for the poor review but it’s my honest observations. The build happened so quick. With so many issues. Lights falling from the ceiling on a new build is poor building…… I’m not a builder but anyone that sees the quickness of this build say it’s terrible quality. From the first moment we met Dan at the Lennar office, he was engaging, helpful, and thorough. He answered all of our questions and kept us up to date on the progress of our new home. He remained involved and steadfast until the very day of our closing.

This is our second Lennar home that we purchased within the last 4 years. And I have to say the workmanship on the 2nd Lennar home is not as great as the 1st one, We had 3 different project managers during the whole process. The last one that closed with us was not at all knowledgeable on what came with the house at least not the basics. I have submitted 3 different warranty items and 1 has already been resolved and waiting on the next 2.

Had a good perception about Lennar and liked the model home better than the community adjacent to Lennar. Sales experience was fine however effort to work with Lennar financing to avail credit did not materialize as the mortgage person was working from a view that with a 7k credit how can another lender match Lennar's financing. In the end I didnt use Lennar and credit was useless. Next comes the day of new home orientation, so many issues were identified 6 days prior to the home closing that I even thought of backing out of the transaction due to low confidence if this is what I am seeing, who knows what is the quality of the work which is not visible. Furthermore, AC and Fridge were on backorder and I was told will be provided by closing. Fast forward 7 weeks, AC is installed but still working with a replacement fridge with Lennar failing to confirm a date. While fixing the defects labor worked and then Lennar failed to clean the house upon closing. Despite repeated messages it was not cleaned and I end up paying Molly Maid over $400. Next is the time to lodge first warranty issue, the process was followed, all documentation provided yet it was a merry go round. I guess due to high demand the quality is compromised and its not a usual way of business by Lennar! At the time of writing this review I am still trying to figure out how to escalate my issues for resolution as I have serious communication issues with my assigned representative during warranty period. I hope with housing market starting to cool off, Lennar will have more time and strive to do better to improve overall customer experience. ... More

Responsiveness….. they should have given me the option to give them a Zero. NOT including the sales staff, Gregg and ED who are great! I closed on my house in March 2022. I still have A punch list that needs to be completed. I realize they’re busy building new homes but, I would like somebody To communicate with me as to when They are going to Complete my home for which they have been paid. There has been NO RESPONSE After numerous phone calls, texts and emails which have been sent to multiple people with Lennar Homes. Communication….to much to ask? At the end of the experience, I do love my home, but it was not easy going through the process. There were multiple mistakes made along the building process. Fixes took way longer than they should have and many of these were not performed to the standard that I would have expected for a new home. There were multiple delays during the build process - 5 weeks went by with no progress being done on the home and we closed on our home 2.5 months late. Further, when Lennar did close on the home they did so when they were not finished with the home and it has been a painful process getting things fixed. 2.5 months after close we still do not have all the things addressed in the home. We didn't have a mail box for over 5 weeks after moving into the home. The list goes on. Lennar employees were not always forth coming with information and we were given information that was in some cases miss leading and in some cases completely false. Average quality build with many small issues. Only some of them are covered by warranty. Few things are not covered and they try to deny the quality issues as not covered, Make sure to question any quality issues ahead of closing and insist on addressing them before closing.

We could not be happier with the entire home buying process. Our Lennar team including Kevin, Deacon and the others were outstanding. Thank you, thank you!
