Do NOT do any upgrades with Macadam Flooring! Poor quality of product, expensive, and poor quality of workmanship. I will never buy another Lennar home and I WILL NEVER RECOMEND LENNAR COMPANY!

Good pricing, good support until you close. After that, it’s clear to me that the primary goal from the warranty team is to not do anything. Super different from previous home built with another builder that would go above and beyond. Have been waiting for almost 2 months for one issue.

Buyers Beware

Financing through Lennar was a nightmare. Buyers beware. The incompetency of the underwriters and managers was astonishing. The entire sale of our home was delayed for weeks because multiple underwriters were unable to read a ledger. It was so bad I almost purchased calculators in bulk to send to Lennar. The home is fine, and the craftsmanship is average.

Experience in rather disappointing, but since I have bought it there's no choice. For instance, any addition or modifications can only be done by their 3rd party contractors or warranty is voided. When contacted 3rd party for addition, they are charging 3 to 4 times higher.

Decided to purchase an investment property in Florida and settled on Oak Hammock in DeLand. Our salesperson (Madison) was great with offering us up a deal we couldn't refuse, and Lennar overall offered up a quick and (mostly) seamless 3-week cash close which we were happy about. Their closer, Kristen, was very on top of things up until the close. Closing process was quick and trouble-free and very much appreciated. As far as "issues", they were relatively minor, however, unresolved issues have taken the shine off the overall experience. The keys to the house were sent to another development ...

Overall process was relatively simple, with all of it being conducted through their online applications. The part of the process that ultimately left a bad taste was after closing. The house was not cleaned as our representative Bert had assured me. The bathrooms (especially showers) were filthy, the floor in the hallways were muddy, baseboards dirty, etc. After multiple messages, the construction manager finally arranged for a cleaner to come, who by the looks of it only swept the floor. My family and I ultimately were responsible for the cleaning after closing since my messages to Bert and ...

Missy, our Lennar sales agent, has been absolutely fantastic. Her support throughout the home-buying process—and even after the purchase—has been exceptional. She’s been nothing short of 100%, A+ in working with her. That said, there were challenges outside of Missy’s control that have been disappointing in working with Lennar CS. We've encountered some issues with the quality of the construction. For instance, the vent fans (stove and bathroom) in the house seem to be a common problem, as confirmed by conversations with neighbors. They make a very loud clanking noise even with the ...

We’ve been in our unit about a month now and have contacted Lennar 3 times about issues we’ve had with the unit. This virtual process to addressing an issue isn’t helpful at all. One issue we raised about a design flaw they refused to send someone to look at the issue. Another issue they claim is working properly. Large bubbles of air bubbling out of both toilets while the shower doesn’t drain followed a few minutes later by all the water being suddenly sucked out of the shower and both toilets is considered “proper operation’? Not impressed.

The purchase experience itself was good (sales and title), but the overall experience was marred by many poor quality control issues on the finishes. Some examples include: - Cracked grout in both bathrooms, chipped countertops, cabinet handles that aren’t aligned properly, appliances not leveled, poor interior paint job, unlevel floor tiles, etc. We gave them a two-page punch list prior to closing and now it’s two months later and only about 4 of the 20 items have been fixed. This is a vacation home for us and we told the construction manager we were fine as long as everything was ...

First of all, the home build was fast. That's a good thing and a bad thing. The quality of the exterior paint is way below average.. the stucco quality literally falls off after minor bumping or touching. I'm scared to even touch the outside stucco because the paint easily gets removed and the stucco gets exposed. The interior paint is flat white and extremely cheap with no options to change it. With kids or even without kids, the paint lasted a month IF THAT and we had to re paint the entire inside of the house with at least a semi gloss paint so it lasts a few years. They have had to come ...

I’m sad to say that Lennar’s business model has changed and not for the better. We had a new build Lennar home in California years ago and was a more than pleasant experience. The quality of workmanship during building is poor. Seems to be an industry standard these days throughout the industry. Just A few examples include while on our final walkthrough, nearly all cabinet doors when opened hit the wall, other cabinets, refrigerator, etc.. I brought it to the attention of the construction team, and was told “ that’s on the homeowner”. There are tons and I mean tons of paint problems on ...

Too many issues upon delivery of the home. Good bones but finishing touches and appliances are subpar. The response from some members of the customer care team is timely. The service to correct the issues can, at times, take a few days.

Home buying experience is okay as the homes are more like inventory homes and no options to choose but not satisfied with quality of workmanship and how the issues are handled. Already seeing multiple cracks across the house near the wall joints.

Before you close, take your time to look at the home with a magnifying glass because there are many careless mistakes, issues that it will overwhelm you after closure. You will not only be dealing with your move but also requesting repairs so many issues and keeping up with all the trades services that will have to come to your home to fix the issues. Ease look at painted walls, outlets, cabinets, appliances, garage door.... Please take your time because it will save you many headaches.

If I could go back in time and make this decision, I would not have bought this house. The materials and build quality are not great. The rushed job to get the home done and up for sale is clear. Id recommend staying away. The only good part of the experience has been the people, for the most part. Lennar doesnt have a great 24 hour emergency service. My wife and I had to go a night without heat a few weeks after closing because Lennar didnt have a plumber that could fix a part that broke. Other than that the personnel here are nice people, who seem to care for the most part. We hear ...

Since the close only one Lennar employee (Fidel) seems to genuinely care about the customer experience. I’ve had direct experience with 4 Lennar employees. As a former business executive of multi-national companies in the service delivery and customer experience business, and judging from a customer experience perspective, I would promote 1 of the 4 (Fidel), fire 1 of the 4, and put the other 2 on performance improvement plans. Which, by the way, Lennar needs as I believe the issue is systemic within the culture of Lennar. This is the 9th home I’ve purchased and the 6th new home, I would rate ...

"Mixed Experience: Great Home and Service, but Poor Communication During Purchase"

Our experience purchasing a new home had its ups and downs. While the overall process was okay, there were significant frustrations, particularly with communication during the financing stage. The loan officer's communication was extremely slow, and getting clear answers about pricing and current incentives was challenging. My questions were frequently passed around between the sales agent, the loan officer, and other employees, which created delays. Unfortunately, these delays resulted in me locking in a higher interest rate than I could have if responses had been more timely and ...

Given what we know now and experience during the home buying process, we wish we had gone another direction. The workmanship leaves a lot to be desired. And the use of cheap materials in the house construction and finishing is very poor_ eg cheap paint which easily stains and peels off when wiped with a wet cloth. Nice walk-in shower cubicle but no shower doors. Door paint chips and dirt on inside walls not repaired as promised after final inspection.
