My salesperson was very friendly and responsive. The communication as an out of state buyer was sufficient, but once she handed us off to the warranty people it’s all been downhill. Poor responsiveness, people leaving and now I don’t know who my contacts are. Outstanding work that should have been done prior to closing. A lackluster pre closing walk through, no explanation of systems. The grass laid down was dead when I closed but no one cares. The quality of workmanship and attention detail is severely underwhelming and not at all the condition I would expect a new home to be in. Would have a hard time recommending a Lennar home in this area to any of my real estate clients. ... More

We bought at 60% completion and lived locally. We visited every day. Lots of substandard work from the start. The construction manager was responsive but a lot of the crews are independent so he was at their mercy to get them to show up. Two major issues: the concrete patio pad was left off when the foundation was originally poured. They poured a pad but it was not the 4” at each side. There was a hole at one edge that you could put a stick under up to a foot and you could see that it was thin on that side. It was supposed to be handled. Before it got any repair, the grader got that area with the bobcat and broke out a piece. It was patched. We have asked for repair again but the warranty supervisor said they don’t guarantee concrete match (?). How about a correctly poured slab?? Problem #2- our front entry wall began to bow out. We were told to report it to warranty and later found out this person was depending on the construction manager to schedule the work. We did get a carpentry crew in that removed the garage side wall and we discovered 2x4s that were bowing and twisted. They replaced all of these, replaced the OSB and now we are waiting for trim to remove the trim and then the sheetrock crew to remove the entire wall to replace it. This has been ongoing for a month minimally. We have no key to our mailbox so we have to flag down the mailman. The keys were lost in the mail to Lennar. There are other issues that we have dealt with and several that they are now putting off to the 11th month warranty inspection. We love the location, have great neighbors but have had a very poor experience with Lennar in general. We have been unable to get above the local level to talk with someone about these issues. People are nice, but poor quality workmanship and cheap materials.

The pandemic time gave me a horrible experience in buying the house. You could not visit the site. Limited communication to the staff of Lennars. The time is really, really bad. Delayed in all aspects even in the turning over of the house keys. The request or complaints has to be done by virtual. What if you are not good in computer? Customer Care Person avoid to visit the condo. No care at all No one wants to be in contact. How can we solve the issues. Sorry! This is an honest review.

Many basics to my transition were unattended such as Comcast not yet connected to my building unit. Then a 45 minute drive to Naples to pick up my equipment. There was garage door remote nor a pad outside for Manuel use. The sliding door wasn’t secure and couldn’t be locked for several days. The same for the garage back entrance door. The electric outlets were confusing since some couldn’t be activated without a wall switch.

Workmanship are very poor, after we moved we saw a lot of problems the paint, lots of nails pops, window blinds, doors are loose, carpet are short, something missing on the counter, problem with internet cable, the stairs, water heater doesn't work on our first day , warranty guy only good on the first 2 weeks after that not answering the phone. Really disappointed, I will not recommend Lennar.

The process itself was not as smooth as I would have hoped for. There were a lot of small mistakes made that made the overall experience challenging. I had to learn to move forward and make the best of things. Overall, I am happy with my new home now and the services now have been handled appropriately and in a timely manner.

Weird customer service experience with Lennar. Seems like they are rushing through closings and leaving too many outstanding items to be fixed after I moved in. House is nice and I’m happy I bought it but Lennar as a company has not impressed me at all.. quite the opposite.

Lennar is a large impersonal company. Information flows downhill from above and it appears to me that most employees are afraid to act on behalf of the customer because they are afraid of making waves. This is my second Lennar house in 3 years and I have experienced this phenomenon repeatedly. Also, they are VERY slow to respond to service issues, especially if you are misguided enough, as I was, to close before the house was actually complete. Once they have your money, they are even more unresponsive. Be aware the Lennar is nothing more than a "tract" builder who is always trying to cut costs. This second home, for example, was built with much cheaper materials than the one from a couple years ago, despite the fact that the new home was supposedly a level above the last one. Lennar builds a half way decent house, but don't expect to be buying anything like a custom house, despite the inflated pricing. ... More

My insurance lapsed because they didn’t pay the bill.

Quality a bit disappointing. Waiting all day today for someone scheduled to come perform some fixes.

Let me start by saying that the sales office (Elena and Juan) did an amazing job of communicating and being accountable throughout the entire buying experience. The pain point for my family and I came with the construction team. Their lack of accountability and effective communication was extremely unprofessional. There were numerous times that I had to get the sales office involved to get prompt feedback from construction. We had two walkthroughs before closing, one a week from closing and one the day of closing. At our first walk through we created a multi-page list of issues that should have been corrected. We found three leaks including one which had mold. The construction team said they would correct the issues before closing. Fast forward to closing and we had even more issues, including new large scratches on our flooring. With a long list of items unfinished the construction manager said they would have everything corrected ASAP. Against better judgement we decided to close and allow the construction team to finish our home while we were moving in. Fast forward 45 days post-closing and we still have issues unresolved. It took me having to call Lennar customer service to port the long list of items that needed to be finished to get a response from the construction team. We personally felt that once we closed no one really cared if the job was finished or if the job was done correctly (everything was a rush). Our situation may be an isolated case, but I don't think it's Lennar's plan for customers to feel the way we felt throughout the end of our home purchasing experience. I personally would not recommend Lennar to anyone and will pursue a private builder in the future. I intend on sharing my photos and emails with others on social media, so they too are aware of the pitfalls when working with Lennar. ... More

Not unhappy, generally speaking, but Lennar is a production builder and they're not flexible with the product they deliver. It's "garden variety". You can't upgrade anything. You get what you get.

The homebuying experience with Lennar was great but it's been a rocky road of ups and downs since that point. The day of our closing was a nightmare. The closing manager withheld the keys from us because the wire didn't officially hit their bank until later that evening, even though she was sent a receipt from the settlement company that the transfer was done. Also, we were sold on a "smart home" in a community that Lennar has not secured reliable Internet for. We can't use any of the smart home features and working from home on a hotspot has proven to be a real challenge. The quality of the home has been ok. You can tell where shortcuts were taken and for issues we've needed fixed, I'm noticing a quick band aid approach rather than quality work. The grading of our yard has been a real challenge, with large pools of water throughout. The sales staff and construction manager are great people and responsive. I know they are working hard and doing all they can. I just wish Lennar would provide more oversight on the contractors and take measures to ensure a smoother customer experience. ... More

Lennar builds FAST homes not quality homes.

I would call mine a pleasant experience. There were a few things that were great, but overall it is a disappointment.

As far as my experience it’s been ok however, I feel like Lennar needs major improvement on their customer service/interaction with their customers, we need to provide better quality materials and do a better job on the cleanliness of a brand new home once completed. I wasn’t happy with my garage door / motor, as they promised it would be a good quality garage door/opener and I received the lowest possible garage door / motor. Lennar needs to give the customer more options and selections on picking colors and materials.

This is our second Lennar home and this one is quite poor compared to our first. Our home was well buiult but the finsih stuff - flooring, painting, grouting, cabinets looked like they were odne by a 5 year old and the place was filthy when we moved into it. We still have unresolved issues but you have good construction managers who do follow through. I'll never buy another Lennar home and the worst of it is it too almost 10 months to get a product that was quite disappointing.

After I moved In I started to see things I did not see in my walk through, like paint issues cracks, the flat paint is terrible and the color is not great. I now have a window that water comes In through and ruined my window sill and wall they can’t come fix it for 2 weeks.

Attention to details missing in home with many things needing fixing. Construction materials left behind in cabinets and materials blocked up water drainage system. Nice townhome but features and appliances low quality and not worth $900k paid. Expected higher quality product.

Highly disappointed overall. House is cute. But craftmanship is poor. I still have a red GA clay backyard; a patio that is cracked so badly the underlayment is showing. The knee wall is the shower is very titled - leaning tower of Piza style. Shower floor has issues. But the mud yard is gruesome.

Quantity surpasses quality with this build

There are so many things need to considered. 1.If you are making smart home atleast run ethernet wire in house. 2. Sprinkle for landscaping should be wifi controlled not manually. 3. Need man door in garage, if someone need to go to backyard from garage then they need to go either from front or pass through the living area then access it from back yard. Garage man door should be there. 4. Electrical to the plugs should go from top of the house not through the walls. 5. If no landscaping is done in backyards atleast there should bepoint left for Sprinkle system. 6. Shower head so hight if kids need to adjust how they should adjust it. ... More

Bought a brand new house but received a house with a microwave that was not working and a lot of very imperfect blemishes to the craftsmanship.
