There were things that we were satisfied with. In our final walkthrough some of the discrepancies were taken care, some were not. I understand the warranty section and having to wait until we got on the list to get those things fixed. But, the other stuff like touch ups that were marked with tape didn’t get taken care of. It’s not really a big deal because some of those things “we” as homeowners can fix on our own. But the things we pointed out that was wrong didn’t get fixed when we started moving our household goods in the house. The air conditioning units has been our biggest struggle. We registered them within the 30 days, but after that we had major problems. One AC until had its wires fried completely. And we were blamed by the technician, Bayonet, because he thought we were raising and lowering the temperature. That’s unsatisfactory because we had only been in the house a little over 30 days. The other stuff of having to redo caulking and fix broken towel hangers doesn’t bother as much. It’s the major electrical issues…HVAC, AC units that have me concerned. ... More

The builder had three heads (Sales/Construction/Closing). Ryan (Sales) did a good job. Sadly Construction and Closing were generally poor. Unnecessary pressure was applied by Closing whilst Construction obviously could not achieve the completion dates given. Completion delayed by three weeks due to poor workmanship, mainly damaged doors. The Construction guys are OK when you find out who they are. From a Purchaser's perspective, the completion and closing process could be much improved by using a single point of contact.

My mother said if you have noting nice to say don't say anything so I guess I have nothing to say.

Construction crews are thugs. They broke windows, chipped doors, sheetrock and taping issues all over house. Construction quality is sub-par. Lennar corp people are great. They respond, repair and answer emails. Lennar warranty website is long, tedious and boring but at least the issues are addressed.

Love our home but the workmanship and attention to detail is not good especially for the price we paid. Totally feel taken advantage of and Lennar has not been responsive at all. Our construction manager did not do a great job and was MIA with most of all of our problems during the process. Again, beautiful home but not a great experience at all.

Everything started off great then as it got closer to our home being finish built. No one communicated issues to us and little things that needed to be done were never finished. Got a lot of fast talk but no completion.

We had a great experience with the builders. Robbie did an amazing job of explaining the home and giving the right information regarding all the home’s features. He showed excellent commitment to customer service by his thorough walk through and knowledge regarding our property and the community we now live in. My only reservation was when we switched floor plans to the chatham II from the brighton II, you guys unfortunately took two weeks and half to re-do the paperwork, in that time interest rates rose significantly costing me ultimately. Besides that I wish we would have purchased our home sooner from you guys. In the end we had a great first home buying experience : from the front end office Carl, to the site manager/ supervisor Robbie, to Candyce our realtor everyone did their part to get us into the home of our dreams. Bad experience with the underwriter during the loan process, Once we took the keys we found the floor with paint spots throughout the first floor, the basement had so much dirt on the floor it filled my container from my vacuum, the floor vinyl is pulling up in some corners & bubbling up in others, the refrigerator door was dented and scuffed, the upstairs has an area that makes a squeaking noise as you walk down the hallway, the garage man door has a lot of small dents along with the garage door, the basement sliding door was dirty along with the door track area that was filled with dirt, the front porch had a lot of dirt, along with the front door as well. When they came to pour the drive way the guys left tar on my font sidewalk, and there was a guy eating sunflower seeds as he was driving the roller machine he would spit out the seeds onto the drive way and would go over them with the roller embedding the seeds into the drive way. I had to pull them all out, the sod and seed were placed onto the dirt that already had a good amount of weeds growing before they put the sod and the bed of seed down and as the grass has grown so have the weeds... These is our second time buying a home and the experience with Lennar is awful. No one respond in a timely manner to any situation. Home was close with lots of open items that I need to follow up week and no one can confirm when they are going to get fix. The right hand does not know what the left hand does. The quality of equipment and construction do not match the price. Every time I call for follow up have to go over what is needed, they do keep track of customer situations or items. You ticket/open items is like a hot potato because no one is accountable to get the issue resolved they will ask to call someone else or just don't reply. I would recommend people to stay away from Lennar so they can save a lots of tears and nightmares. Lennar is the worst. ... More

We bought a townhome in patriot square, in New Jersey. The relator, Scott, a Lennar employee, was extremely communicative and timely with answering any questions or concerns we might have. We couldn't believe how easy the process was. The homebuying process was fantastic, and we were excited to move into our new home. However, when we closed on the house, two bathroom cabinet doors were damage, so they were removed and replacement doors were not yet available, so they were missing. That in itself is not at all an issue. We were told they would be replaced within a week, which was very reasonable, even after the week had passed we were not concerned. With supply issues, we expected that. But after two months, we still had not received even an estimated timeline for when they would be available to be installed. There was a complete lack of communication. Any time we asked for an update or timeline, the site manager, Dom, would tell us he would get back to us the next day with an answer, but never did follow up as he claimed he would, we would have to reach out again (we usually waited a week or 2 between each time we reached out to him). This same pattern of exchange existed for other issues and requests we made. He had asked us to send our requests through text, but some issues we need addressed have been ignored. Other issues that we put in formal online requests were closed out without our acknowledgment. We still have a number of issues that need addressed which will all be submitted formally, we hope they are not ignored or closed out without acknowledgement. ... More

My home is a disaster. I have two different types of baseboards throughout the house (some round, some square), paint on the carpet in every room; almost every cabinet is warped or damaged; the doors are damaged, the mirrors are damaged, and the outside front door doesn't even have trim; there is sealer spilled and mixed in with the grout in the shower, broken tiles, carpet is cut too short and does not even reach the corner in the loft hallway; my furnace is broken and was repaired halfway...this is just to name a few issues and the original warrant rep told me to "lower my expectations" during my walkthrough. I have been here five months and very few things have been addressed due to so many changes in roles and lack of organization. ... More

Your process for warranty work should be an in-person meeting not and online video call that the homeowner should have to do. When warranty work is being completed a representative from Lennar should be there or at least communicating with the homeowner. I have sat around for many hours waiting for work to be done and a few times no show or later than told with no call.

I do not think that I can be fair enough to complete this survey at this point and time until my complaints have been resolved.

We had issue with other mortgage company at the very last minute. But Lennar Mortgage was able to help us close within two weeks! And our sales representative Laurie was very helpful and patient with us who were first time homebuyer.

This is our 2nd new home buying experience and Lennar is BY FAR the worst builder we have ever dealt with. The quality of work is absolutely atrocious, there's no pride behind their workmanship. They try to save a dollar where they can, which means your home will not have a DOORBELL, a peephole or a microwave. The list could go on for a long time but these are a few examples of just how low they go. The buying process was an absolute nightmare and after talking to neighbors, we're far from the only ones with this experience. LANNAR IS THE BEST ...

Overall this is my second time buying I. This community with Lennar. So that righ there says enough about the properties and the value of the home. Neighborhood is good and for the price you get a pretty good property.

While we really like the home we have, the property has drainage issues and the builder didn't take significant steps to alleviate the problems. They throw some rock on the ground and claim there is a French drain when that's not the case.

This experiencing of buying a home with Lennar, and now living in the product for a month is nothing but a huge disappointment. As a Realtor of over 18 years, who has sold to my customers a lot of Lennar products over the years, this experience of buying my own has been awful and I would never suggest to anyone to purchase a product from them. The build quality is crap compared to how they use to build 15 years ago, their service is awful, they also are cheap and try and force you to use more companies they own. So many things wrong that my complaints are being filed with the dept of commerce, and the board of realtors. they make the buyer pay state deed tax, this is so crooked and wrong, they also make the buyer escrow for work they don't have complete, another thing that is crooked and wrong. they also don't complete any work on time.. we closed in May were told would have a yard by end of June and it's not July 5 and they have not even started this work.. in which until it is complete my money is held in escrow because this unethical lousy company does business like this. They are money driven and don't care about the consumer, they build cheap crap and I dislike them more than any builder I've ever dealt with.. I will bash them over and over unless they change and try and make things right for my family. they also are cheap that they don't even pay a realtor a true commission and their lame closing gift you you is some blanket and water bottle that we tossed in the thrash. Has been difficult to get the dying grass in my yard replaced due to springer system being inoperable for a good amount of time.

Great experience! We were kept informed throughout the construction of our Lennar home and all questions/concerns were immediately addressed. Great people and great builder! We highly recommend Lennar!

At the beginning of our build, we were told that we would have a walk-thru during the foundation, rough phase and it not only didn't happen but was offered to view a like home rather than ours. The intent is to walk OUR home, not someone else's. On the day of orientation, we were reminded that it wasn't a time to find issues with the home but rather to get acquainted with the home's features. When we were told about our final walk-thru, we were told this was to review only items that we found that were apparent issues during the orientation. The experience felt more like a used car lot than a trusted builder as we weren't allowed to go through the home to avoid issues after we moved in. Painting and caulking inside and out seemed more like an amateur rather than an experienced painter, this is not to mention the poor trim work, which can make or break a poor or even quality build. We have owned multiple spec homes over the years and this has got to be one of the worst in quality and experience. ... More

There were several challenges from the very beginning and it took 2 years for Lennar to deliver our home. I can understand that there was a county approval delay and supply chain issues but we didn't have enough transparency through out the process and were left hanging. There were items like soft close toilets mentioned in the data sheet but was not provided and when asked they said they had the right to change and it was a misprint. We got a connected home which is a nice feature although it was in the print, but were told was not available but we ended up getting it. Our neighbors got to select EV charger and we were denied that option. Overall the model of the home is beautiful, but the workman ship and the whole process was very inconsistent and sub standard to say the least. I have bought home before from Toll brothers, Shea and Ryland and the experience with Lennar was my worst out of all. The sales and construction staff tried to do their best but they were just messengers. Lennar didn't focus on building a community at all - there are side walks that do not join - so if you walk in the neighborhood you have to jump in to a ditch before you can get back to the side walk of the perpendicular road, there is not one play area for the kids.
