Sales great then it all falls apart

We were already renting in the community so we knew what style house we wanted and were pretty particular on color and location. Our sales director was amazing, he kept us posted on everything and helped to get our house color changed even after they originally said no. Dealing with the mortgage coordinator then was a challenge. She would request information and if you asked a follow up-it would be days before a response. Then she should send you and email telling you you were late returning the information. My co owner travels for work, we were assured closing would be early June so ...

I don’t know where to start here. They use the cheapest labor. Cheapest parts. We moved into our home, and our home received 0 internet signal (we pay through our hoa). Cheap siding that had fallen off more than once. Then the people who fix it, leave white caulking on the side of the house and expect you to file claims to get it fixed. Plumbing was backed up with concrete. Rocks. Trash. Screws. Our customer service rep tried saying “well we can’t prove that it was or wasn’t you”. As if my family and o would take off toilets and sinks, to jam a bunch of rocks and concrete into our new home ...

We choose a lot and purchased a Lennar home to be built for us in early November 2024 and then closely monitored and videoed the entire build. We are left disappointed with the construction workmanship, much of which took place during the winter. The concrete for the foundation and floors was poured in sub-zero temperatures with inadequate freeze protection with constantly failing heaters allowing the concrete to freeze in early curing stage leaving questionable quality. Roof ice shield installed over snow on the sheeting in temps so cold there was no adhesion at all. Windows and doors ...

Spec home does not match model - Realtor lied about details, wrong exterior paint color, bug infestation in master bathroom, key does not work for front door (builder will not replace even though construction manager said he would - Eli), window sill not painted along with blue tape walk through items for paint not corrected, water drainage issues on side and back of house (have to install French drain and retaining wall to use backyard and protect home from water damage)… several other minor issues along with Realtor and Construction Manager trying sell services for third party providers ...

Samantha with Lennar mortgage was rude. I hated my home buying experience with Lennar. You guys were available on Easter Sunday, a holiday to coerce me into purchasing this home. Then when the deal went through, you could not hear or find them. Calls went unanswered. I remember moving day, my Keys won’t work for the door. I called everyone I could’ve think on for help. They did not offer no help. I had to pay a locksmith and did NOT receive my full compensation. I’m very disappointed in them. I would like to express my concerns regarding my experience throughout the home buying process, from signing the contract to closing. I strongly recommend thoroughly reviewing your contract before submitting earnest money, as once signed, withdrawal is impossible. I felt pressured to sign and pay before fully understanding the contract terms, which I now regret. The process was highly stressful, and I found it challenging to obtain honest and timely answers to my questions. Additionally, I was encouraged to purchase a larger home than I needed, under the promise of incentives that were ...

Lennar corporate does not have proper handoff between Lennar builder, sales team, Lennar Mortgage and Lennar Home insurance causing the buyer to run through multiple hoops to provide the same information. Overall Disappointed — A Frustrating Finish to an Exciting Start

The beginning of my homebuying experience was exciting and smooth — choosing the house and putting the money down was easy. However, once it came time to close, things took a frustrating turn. Communication from the closing department became nearly nonexistent, making what should have been a celebratory time stressful and uncertain. After receiving my keys, I was told the home had gone through its "final clean," but unfortunately, it had not. I was never informed that the grass would only be laid out 15 feet from the house, and no explanation or heads-up was given. Even more frustrating, ...

The sales woman Lauren completely lied through her teeth about multiple things. Most of the time I think she just didn’t know the answer but acted like she did. The day after we signed I never heard from her again despite reaching out multiple times. She passed us off to Elle the homebuyer concierge who was useless. If you're considering buying a home from Lennar, let me offer you a word of caution: proceed with eyes wide open. Lennar is not a company focused on the customer—they are entirely built around maximizing shareholder profits, even if it comes at the direct expense of the buyer’s experience and satisfaction. From the outset, it becomes painfully clear that Lennar refuses to accommodate even the smallest request to substitute or add materials. Need a minor deviation from their cookie-cutter setup? Forget it. Any suggestion, no matter how reasonable, is met with a flat "no." Why? Because ...

The Muirwood Model is ridiculous. The pantry is to big which caused the island to be to far from stove-especially when taking full pots of boiling water off the stove-the primary bathroom has doors banging into doors along with the shower door encroaching into the water closet door way, the stove is horrible. You have 3 very heavy grates and a griddle which have to be removed to clean the stove properly. The quality of the fit and finishes are pathetic and cheap. Typical of Lennar. House was way overpriced.

Bad experience with the construction manager

We had a bad experience with the construction manager in charge. The house wasn't ready to move in because it had too many things to repair after three visits. They didn't follow up on what needed to be repaired. We moved in and realized that the kitchen tiles still hadn't been repaired. They told us it was too late and we had to call the warranty company, even though it was on the previous list. The warranty people told us they weren't going to repair it because we accepted the kitchen tiles as they were. They tricked us, and no one took responsibility. I will start off by saying that this was, and is, the best option for our new home based on the location and certain criteria we wanted. Our salesperson, Connie, was great and genuinely always responsive and we appreciate everything that she did along to make things happen. However, Lennar's website advertised a variety of customization options, but none of those were available (fireplace, sprinkler system, basement bathroom rough in etc.). I guess the biggest thing is the only objective is to get the money from your buyer. Afterwards, it’s you are On your own. But, with all the HOA’s, water, gas, electric, etc. buyers could greatly use the benefit of a helping hand. Also, warranties, what we need to do who to call, connectivity issues in the house, all this can be overwhelming!!!

Where do I start? From being misled by the realtor to the poor workmanship in my home, the experience with Lennar has been nothing short of disappointing. The issues didn’t stop at closing—getting warranty work addressed has been a constant battle, with delays, lack of communication, and unresolved problems.
