Quality non existent in Lennar homes.....everything was done as cheaply as possible!

The salespeople were nice, and the lending department was great. But when you buy a brand new house, you expect things to be like new with no issues. We've had issue after issue with this home - from floor to ceiling, exterior & interior. The "warranty" office lies to you, takes forever to get anything done, and does not follow up. We loved the layout & the neighborhood seemed nice- but the work quality is not good.

The purchasing experience of my townhouse was fine. The quality of my townhouse is not good. Very sketchy. I have submitted SO many tickets for service to correct issues that it’s becoming a weekly habit and a part time job. This is not what I signed up for. I’ve become the general contractor to repair so many things that it totally diminishes the quality of product Lennar sells. My realtor warned me about Lennar and I should have listened. Now here I sit with a defective house that needs so much work and the smallest thing, like mowing the lawn doesn’t even get done! I’m disgusted and wish I would not have purchased a Lennar home! ... Cheap material used to build the home Rude and non professional staff ( at the building site)

There were a lot of issues I brought up during the 1st day of walkthrough. The construction manager wasn't professional in responding to my follow-up calls/messages. For example, my refrigerator was so tilted, and when I called him to have it fixed, his response was "it's just the way it is". He only fixed it when I told him that I wasn't going to close the house and that I would inform the Lennar salesperson about his work ethics. I have been living in my new house for a couple of months, however, I have been discovering issues such as: thud sound from the bathroom, crooked drywall for the windows, grout not cleaned up, dead tree (which I also brought it up during the first day of walkthrough but I was told that it was like that because it was winter. Now, Lennar isn't willing to replace the tree for free), dryer not drying clothes, broken refrigerator's ice maker, chips on the bathroom tile, broken towel bar, etc... Some of it were already addressed but my point being here is that I shouldn't be experiencing these issues with the price I paid for the house. ... More

I just bought my first home in 2023 and after a lot of work combing through the market, I finally came across homes quickly selling in an ideal area! I had heard good reviews for Lennar and decided to give it a chance. Immediately in the walk thru I noticed quite a few things that needed to be fixed. I noticed a few cabinets needed to be replaced, one was loose, the doors all had some damage to the paint from being closed while wet, the carpet was stained with muddy boot prints, and there were marks on the flooring. I was told these things had been completed but was never offered an additional walk thru, so I had to trust that the work had been completed and fixed. Upon move-in I was blinded by excitement, but as I was moving my items in, I saw my home at new angles and noticed NONE of the additional work had been completed. On top of that, the house did not get cleaned, there is paint on my carpet and flooring that won’t come up, there’s so many gaps between door frames and door steps, the dishwasher was not installed only placed in the correct cutout, the sink fell within a week which caused severe water leaking to damage my cabinet and I was without my kitchen sink for weeks. At first I had a good experience with my warranty tickets but then quickly realized they kept sending the incorrect people out, proving they had no real understanding of the situation, so now I’m very displeased with the warranty service as well. If I had it all to do again I’d go with a different builder. It’s as if the house was thrown together with no care, not to mention, before it was complete when I went to view the home, there were beer bottles all over the floor and drinks in my brand new fridge. The entire road of Lennar homes have warranty tickets out as well. This company is extremely unprofessional and they seem to not care about the importance of having a livable home with an infant. I could not be more discusted with the entire process. NEVER use Lennar Mortgage, they only complicated the lending process and make it harder. The construction is definitely subpar, 3 electrical issues that are 100% the same but they can't seem to solve the problem any longer then temporary, paint on the walls could but have been applied any thinner, door knobs and strike plates coming off after 2 months, cracked concrete driveway before we moved in and The stupidity of the construction manager looks at me and says there's no problem. I would NOT ever purchase another Lennar home and I'm already looking forward to leaving this one. The WORST home owning/purchase of my life ... More

From the moment I signed and gave my deposit for my home I felt that it was one of the last lines of communication with Lennar without pulling teeth. The only time I received a call back was when they sent me a review. After moving in and doing a virtual tour It took over a month for anyone to respond after having to reach out yet again. I have family members that moved in over a year ago and they did not have the same experience. Lennar service has for sure decreased in quality and craftsmanship. The endless cement LUMPS that are under the carpet is ONE example of shoddy work done. I know these are cookie cut homes but there should be more pride in there work. I think the quickness in the turnaround time putting up these homes are showing for sure. -Lennar could also offer their employees a course in customer service. It would go a long way on how to talk to people. Unfortunately, we have run into a few people that could use it. -We were also told the HOA was one price and when I got my booklet it went up without any notification. Prior to close discovered chip in granite! Summer was to handle this Monday morning after close- no one showed up no follow through- QR code done and requested by Haley no response. Prior to move in we noticed laundry door did not shut- mentioned to Jeff he looked at it said he’d handle- nothing no- Phil called spoke to him. No one cared to follow up! Great customer care!:( i came for a visit a month after closing, the laminate floor creeks everywhere you step on it downstairs, is it missing something underneath???- a new floor should not creek everywhere you step. Poor install???? Also I noticed front shutter warping out - this should not happen to a shutter with in 5 weeks of closing! I’d love to know if this is the quality and customer service Lennar is about? Very disappointed! Closed sale and been ghosted by customer care! ... More

The overall purchase experience from reserving to closing could have been better. We find different folks from sales support to loan, there always been some errors or omissions. After closing, we did a walkthrough the home, and we immediately find out when we standing in the kitchen, the floor bounces when the garage fire door closes. We then test the stability of the floor with others walking around the house, and we also felt the floor slightly bounces as others walk around the home. We mentioned to Lennar representatives but he asked us to submit a response. We also can hear neighbor in downstair when they were in garage and feel the floor bounces when they closes their garage door. We are very sensitive to movements, and with Lennar building these multi-family homes with families in different levels, this is simply disturbing to us. We feel there should be better support of joist for 2nd floor and insulation of noises from families. We also see many amenities are missing such as medicine cabinets and towel racks in the bathrooms.. ... More

Tasks aren’t being completed to the satisfaction of the homeowner. Work is shoddy at best. Unprofessional builder.

Quality issues with almost everything. No transparency from the construction manager and overall no good communication. Lennar’s standard is much lower than it should be and even though the work is done it is not quality. Anywhere they can they are trying to cut corners to save money and try and just do “good enough” work. Even though their work is clearly sub-par. Yes our house is completed and yes we are happy in our home but Lennar’s quality control is lacking, their honesty and transparency is sub-par at best.

This was our 4th new house and the worst one. Caked on mud on the light colored carpet. Microwave came with someones else’s cooked on cheese. Just gross! Air conditioner had no breaker hooked up. Garbage everywhere. Not what we expected from a new home.

We moved forward with purchase, despite reading some of the previous reviews and homeowner issues. We submitted 6 warranty claims within 1 month of living in the home, which was not the issue as I anticipated "some" minor issues, however they were all a result of poor craftsman ship, what appears to be a rush to complete/ close and move on, and lack of attention to detail. Lennar Mortgage, which thankfully we did not use, was also difficult to work with, did not want to honor their verbal offers and wasnt until we were prepared to walk away did they decide to "stand by" their word and honor a purchase incentive. Our neighbors have all had similar stories with varying degrees of issues. Our issues (light switches not connected, grinder failures before moving in, seems and joints not lining up and stains set into flooring and carpet) were minor compared to some of our neighbors. Paint, stucco, and concrete splatter all over the exterior of entire structure, floors air conditioner, railings, carports, walls, stairways and the list could go on. Parking areas full of debris nails and screws everywhere. Builder not responsive to issues

We had the worst experience with the warranty person!

Lots of repairs needed before and after closing and it took long time to respond to or repair. Flooring installation is poorly made and the front door peephole is made to accommodate a 6+ foot tall person to see from. When asked yo lower for safety was told NO can do.

I have bought 3 houses with Lennar so far, but I am done with them and not going to buy and will discourage new buyers

If there were a no star available for some categories, I would have put zero stars. On paper, an inspection was done but the mistakes missed during the “inspection” indicate nothing short of negligence. After two months, I am still dealing with Lennar mistakes and losing days waiting for workers who either don’t show or don’t complete the job. The lack of communication between Lennar and contractors only adds to the problems. Just today a worker was supposed to show and here I sit. Even contacting Lennar about the no show is getting no response. Lennar needs to address these very obvious shortcomings. ... More

The sales person was terrific and helped with the buying process. The closing was delayed by Lennar. The condition and cleanliness of my new home was poor. Empty bottles inside and out, paint job was awful. Paint everywhere with spots missed on the walls. There was paint on mirrors, on carpet, tile floors, cabinets, shower doors. No hot water, broken cabinets and fence behind the house is crooked and we lost footage. Lennar could have done better for the price we paid.

If I could put zero stars for Responsive to issues, I would. My actual home buying experience with the salesman was excellent. His name is Mitch. Great guy and he was always there to answer questions. If he did not know an answer, he would find it for me by the next day. There were many issues to be addressed with the home before closing. The “construction builder” and the “main warranty” man assured me that I should close on time and that they would be here for me to fix the numerous outstanding items. I trusted them. So I closed. The quality of workmanship in my home is subpar, at best. Every day I find new things that were not completed correctly. I followed the steps that Lennar outlined for me by putting in “warranty requests” on all outstanding items. My list just grows and nothing gets fixed or resolved. There is no interest or timely communication in addressing all of the things that were incomplete or broke before I closed on my home. Lennar has one man who they entrust to “fix” all issues except electrical. They will not honor the Lennar warranty properly by sending out qualified “trades” to address the issues. Each one requires a different job specialty, but Lennar will not spend the money to make things right. I always wanted a “Lennar Home”. But my experience in the last few months has forced me to regret the purchase of this home. ... More

Move in experience was kind of a hustle. Need to identify al issues immediately and if find other problems must go through on line process that has not been paid attention to. I had to pay for outside people to address my issues.. sorry got into this situation.

This home buying experience has been a total nightmare. Everything from poor workmanship to electrical, plumbing, door issues, etc. We closed 2 months ago and still have multiple issues that have not been taken care of. In addition, we found out after we closed on our house that Lennar does not include screen doors on the patio doors! We purchase them from C&C window for $720.00. When they went to install them on the triple slider, they couldn't install because the door frame was installed incorrectly. C&C replaced the door jam and installed the screens but in the process ripped out a big section of drywall and Stucco that still hasn't been repaired. In addition to that I still have a list of 14 items that have not been corrected. Once they get your money, good luck with getting issues fixed. ... More
