Lennar collects a vast volume of totally confidential information, much more than is necessary for me to be proven as a responsible buyer and payer. I do not believe this information is stored in a suitably secure manner. I worry about my identity being stolen by others or shared with others I do not want it shared with by Lennar. We sign waaaaay too many documents giving Lennar the right to own our lives. I do not trust Lennar!!!!!! Most of the staff we dealt with are great.

Lennar responded:
Good morning John, We're grateful you took the time to share your experience, though we're sorry to hear it wasn't a positive one. At the same time, we’re truly glad to hear that you’re happy with the associates you have dealt with— that means a great deal to us. We hope you create many beautiful memories there for years to come. If there’s anything more we can do to support you or follow up on, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at CorporateCustomerCare@Lennar.com.

Preston was ok in the purchase process

I will say that the home is built with the lowest cost of materials possible, the interior paint is very poor in quality, and I believe it is only a primer coat, there was no garage door opener installed and we had to pay $500,00 to get that installed, the water pressure in the neighborhood is very poor and most of the new owners are very upset with the water pressure because you can't water the lawn because there is not enough pressure to run a sprinkler, take a shower, do laundry! I have had several issues with the house that need repair and can't get anyone to come out and repair it! I get ...

Not a great experience with Lennar

This is our second home with Lennar, and unfortunately, the experience this time was disappointing, especially with their financial services and closing process. There was no formal welcome or acknowledgment during the closing — not even a basic walkthrough or someone to greet us. For a repeat customer, this felt impersonal and careless. What made it worse was the complete lack of any gesture of appreciation. No closing goodies or even a simple thank you — something we had received before. This change made it feel like Lennar is now more focused on profits than on customer ...

I was verbally promised backyard grass and 3 trees upon moving in to my new Lennar build (as incentive). It’s been 4 weeks since move in and I have 2 trees and no grass in the backyard. Lennar will do the bare minimum for you as a customer because they only care about moving you in fast! Be careful.

Unfortunately day3 of moving in I had a leak that caused the spare room to have to have the carpet removed and the wall. It only has been a month and a half and I still have a dirty makeshift cover in my bedroom for the contractors which is ripped. I had to have multiple attempts for them to figure out the sewage issue. It wasn’t until I left a review that Bayonet the contractor they use actually did something. My next problem is my AC it’s only cooling on one side of the house. However, I had to please the insatiable underwriter when trying to purchase for then to not be able to use my ...

Everything we were told was not actually true! They stretched the truth about all costs & bills, including insurance. Flood insurance & work that needed to be done before closing! We spent over $1,000 just to fly down for walk through which they said all work would be done before we move it & it was a waste of our time & money!!! Nothing was fixed before we moved in!!!

Lennar responded:

Cheap workmanship

My house has many cheaply and sloppy done workmanship. Chalking is messy in many areas, clay sand under the appliances in the kitchen, countertops are not the best quality you would expect from the price I paid for the house. There are no towel racks installed in the bathrooms, which should be a standard item in every home purchased. The floor quality is not the best either, the carpet does not have proper padding underneath, a must for getting the best wear out of your carpet. The houses in Blue Ridge Village are being built too fast and good quality is missing.

The model being used was the same floorplan, but 180 square feet larger, so visually misleading. Changes were made to the floorplan on the website without notifying buyers. Lennar decided on a massive price reduction several months after we signed the purchase contract, so most neighbors paid substantially less than we did. We were unaware of the price reduction prior to closing in February.

After spending about two moths in the home, we are more and more disappointed in the quality of construction at this location. We installed a ceiling fan in the master bedroom, went to the breaker box to turn off the switch and couldn’t get the power to the switch off despite turning off every breaker in the box labeled for outlets and switches. Tried to install a storage unit in the garage that hangs from the ceiling. Seems pretty basic rafters are supposed to be 16” on center. Well these ones are 24 which must be the new code. Noticed my stud finder wasn’t picking them up at 24” so ...

Great points - processing the loan only took 4-6 weeks to complete. Sprinkler system is included. Tankless water heater. Not so great - Mortgage loan officer needs better communication with buyer so there are no surprises when it comes to paying closing costs. Sending multiple closing costs disclosures creates confusion on the buyer Not so great - House bought for $245k does not live up to par with the house I bought 3 years ago for $219k. The house is built as basic as it can be. No linen cabinets, no towel bars in bathrooms (seriously?!), no glass enclosure for shower in master ...

Extremely Disappointed with Lennar – Unorganized, Misleading, and Frustrating Experience: My home buying experience with Lennar has been nothing short of disappointing. From the start, I encountered numerous inefficiencies, misinformation, and poor communication—and unfortunately, these are just a few examples among many. 1. The home buying experience was not pleasant. Our salesman was good, but when we had to deal with construction, things took a turn for the worse. This isn’t our first home, so we knew the process. When we pointed out flaws or issues, we were told, “this isn’t a custom home.” I wasn’t asking for one, but I was asking for quality work to be done. It doesn’t need to be a custom home for the workmanship to be up to par. The first woman that was assigned to us for quality control check was extremely unprofessional.
