The way the home is angled on the lot I have no privacy from my next door neighbors. Their back door is facing my back door pretty much. And the corners to close to one another. I can hear my neighbors slamming their door shut every day that’s how close we are. I’m planning on moving and finding something more private. Quality of certain things in the home questionable. Shower drain and kitchen countertops. Very upset about the low grade carpet and padding. I asked to upgrade my carpet and think I even paid extra. There seem to be a lot of problems with these Lennar townhomes such as the cheap materials and bad workmanship. Cheap flooring, carpet coming apart, floor squeaking, paint overspray, ceiling uneven, bad HVAC work. The caps in the streey for the water are broken off and not replaced so there are big holes in the road where someone could step into. A lot of neighbors were lied to about the neighborhood including myself, we were told there would be no building behind our homes to block the mountain view which why i purchased here.

I went with Lennar thought I had few other options, based on my first home experience which was positive. This time the house got into series of repairs in first month. Now, I’m following up for reimbursement but the response is very slow

Warranty subs don’t finish on the same day and don’t clean up. I have missed a lot of work due to this. I am also waiting on fix to my carpet padding that has a lot of hard plastic chunks in it?

Unfinished work and poor craftsmanship

We worked with a realtor and our own outside mortgage broker so buying was not an issue and everything went very well. I would love to give Lennar a great rating, however we are 6 months into our new home and still have not had work completed from our 45 day review. We had to have windows replaced because they were broken during building process. The workers came to replace the windows and installed new ones but left smudge fingerprints and palm prints on them that require a 20 ft ladder to reach for cleanup. Lennar doesn’t seem to care that my repairs were not to my satisfaction. Also, was promised a new furnace filter and never received it.

Very very rude customer service and no one addresses any pending issues

lots of electrical issues and when you call call center(customer service) they are rude and keep telling you that they are trying to reach out the contractor but since they are out in the field, its tough to get in touch with them. we have been in house for almost 5 months and still have issues pending since we moved in.

The house was sloppily put together and there were a lot of issues that took months to fix after I moved in. I had to take too many days off work to address all the issues. Grout work was sloppy, there were painting issues and issues with my ceiling. The garage cement had too many holes and looks poorly constructed. The house was also never cleaned and there was dirt all over when I moved in.

I've had 4 major building issues that needed to be addressed. Furnace pipes installed incorrectly caused motor to burn out, dryer outlet was originally installed as a stove outlet and got that replaced, bur first it caught on fire, dryer vent not brought out correctly from sheetrock so my dryer wasn't able to work properly and my exterior vents were spray painted over causing my basement to overheat and water condensed on my pipes. Still lots of minor finish work that I'm hoping will get taken care of. I feel like once you sign your papers, you get abandoned if you need help afterwards.

workmanship and materials used on construction are very poor, we need to talk with many guys to solve small issues in the house and it´s take a lot of time. at the end we also have problems to install our fence as lennar didn´t let the metal pins installed.

First I was told bu 2 people home would be cleaned when I got here, it was not cleaned and we had to get here at 6 AM to clean before movers came at 8. Then the hot water shutoff broke off, looked like had been broke and glued back together was told plumber called twice no one ever showed up for several weeks, HVAC was out for a week motor broke in attic. HVAC people put a window unit in, can't imagine my electric bill is going to be. The people handling the loan took forever to respond, would not read emails I sent them before asking me for information, information which I clearly stated in the email I sent. Quality control seemed to miss an extremely crooked window, an EV charger that was installed upside down and with a connection that doesn’t work. No Lennar is stating they won’t pay for the adapter or fix the issue. I was only in town for three days looking at homes and was in a hurry to make a purchase, as I was moving to Utah within two months. In hindsight, I blame myself for not taking more time to inspect the home more closely. If I had the chance to do it over again, I would not have purchased this home. Lennar could benefit if they had more employees like Bonita. My questions were always answered and if Bonita didn't know the answer she would let me know she would find out and get back to me. She always follow through. I always felt like I was pulling teeth with Mary Jo and therefore Bonita was like my lifeline. I have referred a couple of friends but, I also told them about the response or lack of good response from Mary Jo.

Dealing with construction manager Brian, wasted time, bad experience. Dealing with Lennar Mortgage Shana /Kara, worst experience, poor communication, unprofessional. This is our second (and last) Lennar home. Our first experience was excellent, good quality in all aspects. This time has been totally different, poor quality of frames, finishes and details. Two months after moving we’re waiting for many details to be addressed by the quality department. So sad to realize how a company like Lennar has decreased its quality in such a dramatic pace. If you decide to buy Lennar be sure to do the inspection before closing.

Lennar profits depend on mass production of homes. Improvement can be made by staffing the on site construction mgr. positions. This will ensure a higher quality product (home) with less issues that homeowners request to fix in the first year. Labor contractors standards of quality are much lower than what the Lennar executives expect. To maintain Lennar idea of quality home and reputation of customer service, there needs to be more inspection, rapid response to issues, and observation of labor contractors.
