When we bought, I didn’t hear from my sales person at all. They never cleaned the home before giving the keys. I had to go in and clean before I could move in. They never showed me how to change the filter in the attic. They are not good about fixing things. I finally gave up and are fixing things on my own. And finally, what kind of home builders don’t give you screens for windows??? I had to MAKE them on my own! Look at other builders before buying unless you plans to spend A LOT!

Warranty not addressing flooding issue . Next step Charlotte county permitting my home for occupancy when flood damage possible due to grading. Still not addressed. Lanai set low unable to drain.

I would like to share my recent experience regarding the quality of construction by Lennar, particularly in the Arden community. After purchasing a $1 million home, I conducted a thorough personal inspection with angel home inspection and what they found was several significant issues that raised concerns about the overall quality of construction. My experience the same with my previous home in Parkland, Florida, where I encountered more problems. It appears that in recent years, Lennar's focus on rapid development has compromised their commitment to quality assurance and the materials used in their homes. Unfortunately, I encountered multiple issues that were not merely minor in nature, leading me to question the durability and craftsmanship of their properties. Based on my experience, I would advise potential buyers to consider alternatives such as GL Homes or Toll Brothers, which I believe offer superior quality. Please take your time during your walk through. Everyone is moving 100MPH to get you to closing and lots of fine details are left out. We made the mistake of doing our closing the morning of our walk through...the men were still in our home "completing" the last-minute items which were still not done. Once you close, they are not timely in sending people to your home to repair. You go with many days and hours wasted of no one coming or calling you back. You get the round around of calling A, B and C because they are no longer responsible for those items you now need repaired in your BRAND new house you purchased. I have already had a leak in my bedroom from our very 1st storm here and the person that was assigned to my case Illiana, at first told me my claim was going to be denied because we had a lot of rain! Who says that to someone that just spent several hundred thousand dollars!!!!! We didn't buy a tent, we bought a LENNAR trusted built home. Plus, you never want to tell someone flat out NO without giving them some options. The other frustration is they dont respond right away but when they do, they say we will be tomorrow at 10 and if you want this done, be there! Thats also not okay. People have jobs and jobs require notice. I just spent my whole day on Monday, waiting for someone to come from 8am-12am and no one arrived. I got a follow up call 2 days later letting me know the GC is going to come to my home today at 10am, again without asking if I am going to be home. So once again people, make sure you spend a lot of time in the home. Dont let anyone rush you. Print a checklist on line and bring with you and DO NOT close until all the work has been done. ... The quality of the homes is terrible. I've never had soft walls that you can damage with a finger nail. The structure itself is sturdy, but the materials they use are low quality. Considering the price I expected a better quality home, but anytime I mentioned my disappointment, I was told "you pay for what you get in your price range". I am paying half a million dollars! I do not expect to be met with cheap building materials! The people in customer service are great to talk to and are very friendly. However, anytime I asked a question regarding internet, irrigation, quality of home, air conditioning, etc. I was met with vague answers that never actually answered my questions at all. They were unhelpful and I was left to figure everything out on my own. It was extremely frustrating. I needed answers and nobody could provide them. We were the first street in the subdivision they were building and we did not have internet for an entire month, and the subdivision next to us had been waiting for internet an entire year. In today's world, I expect more. They escrow team also failed to provide documentation to the city, so I had to wait several weeks before we could put our names on some of the utilities, such as trash and water. Not having trash and recycling cans for several weeks after moving was ridiculous. The air conditioning also took several weeks to figure out. We were headed into over 100 degree weather for weeks on end and our air conditioning was not cooling the house well. There would be over 10 degree differences between upstairs and downstairs. When we asked the company, who had installed the air conditioning, how the system worked and attempted to troubleshoot ways to get the degree difference within 5 degrees, the reply was "sometimes that just how that system works". Excuse me, but I have never lived in a house my entire life with air conditioning where the upstairs was significantly hotter than the downstairs. I have been in houses without air conditioning that are that way, but never one with air conditioning. The type of system was new to me. After several weeks of racking our brains on what the issue might be, we finally figured it out ourselves with zero help from Lennar and the company that installed the air conditioner. It is safe to say I will not be buying a Lennar home again. If I had known that I would be dealing with all these frustrations upon buying a home from them, I would have never given them my hard earned money. ... More

Countless problems with everything from landscaping, driveway, fireplace, interior doors, door handles, very cheap patio door and windows, insects, cost cutting changes that were unacceptable, home not clean on move-in day, etc. The problems are endless and the list is too long. Very frustrating. Purchasing this home has turned out to be an expensive mistake. The homes are not ready to be lived in and are being built extremely quickly. Once you close, the customer service is terrible.

This house should have never been handed over in the shape that its in. Terrible workmanship and everything seemed rushed. Zero quality control done for the price we paid. If someone spends close to a million dollars on a house you expect everything to be near perfect. Extremely disappointed and disgusted with the laundry list of punchlist items that need to be addressed.

I have had the worst experience ever. My home was not even ready to move into when I moved it. It has still yet to be cleaned. There is still blue tape on on damaged of my house that were never repaired even after multiple phone calls. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LENNAR HOME. I will do my time living in this house and can’t wait to sell it and move. There is nails sticking out of the all where my kids play. After repeatedly asking even in my blue tape walk for it to be taken care it wasn’t. That is insane! Adam the gentleman that helped me through the financing is great!

I paid more than $585K for my home and very disappointed. Very bad quality, walls and ceiling was very rough and unprofessional done. Very dirty doors knobs, that not clean before closing. Many undone left before closing because I was from out of town and don’t have time to come back a day before closed. Totally disappointed about their house built and warranty service was a nightmare. No one care.

From the Lennar using unskilled labor for cheap overhead cost to work. To their money grabbing hoa. Lennar has succeeded all expectations of failing to do the simple things by cutting corners, radius, and diameters in the quality of building homes. There is not enough space in this box to write down all the deficiencies.

I recently purchased a home, and I must say I'm quite disappointed with the workmanship. There are several noticeable flaws throughout the property that were overlooked during construction. The finishing touches seem rushed, and the overall quality falls short of what I expected for the price I paid. I've encountered problems with electrical outlets, and even some structural concerns. It's frustrating to deal with these issues so soon after moving in. I hope the builders can address these problems promptly, as it's been a rather unpleasant start to my homeownership journey."

Cheap material used to build the home Rude and non professional staff ( at the building site)

I just bought my first home in 2023 and after a lot of work combing through the market, I finally came across homes quickly selling in an ideal area! I had heard good reviews for Lennar and decided to give it a chance. Immediately in the walk thru I noticed quite a few things that needed to be fixed. I noticed a few cabinets needed to be replaced, one was loose, the doors all had some damage to the paint from being closed while wet, the carpet was stained with muddy boot prints, and there were marks on the flooring. I was told these things had been completed but was never offered an additional walk thru, so I had to trust that the work had been completed and fixed. Upon move-in I was blinded by excitement, but as I was moving my items in, I saw my home at new angles and noticed NONE of the additional work had been completed. On top of that, the house did not get cleaned, there is paint on my carpet and flooring that won’t come up, there’s so many gaps between door frames and door steps, the dishwasher was not installed only placed in the correct cutout, the sink fell within a week which caused severe water leaking to damage my cabinet and I was without my kitchen sink for weeks. At first I had a good experience with my warranty tickets but then quickly realized they kept sending the incorrect people out, proving they had no real understanding of the situation, so now I’m very displeased with the warranty service as well. If I had it all to do again I’d go with a different builder. It’s as if the house was thrown together with no care, not to mention, before it was complete when I went to view the home, there were beer bottles all over the floor and drinks in my brand new fridge. The entire road of Lennar homes have warranty tickets out as well. This company is extremely unprofessional and they seem to not care about the importance of having a livable home with an infant. I could not be more discusted with the entire process. NEVER use Lennar Mortgage, they only complicated the lending process and make it harder. The construction is definitely subpar, 3 electrical issues that are 100% the same but they can't seem to solve the problem any longer then temporary, paint on the walls could but have been applied any thinner, door knobs and strike plates coming off after 2 months, cracked concrete driveway before we moved in and The stupidity of the construction manager looks at me and says there's no problem. I would NOT ever purchase another Lennar home and I'm already looking forward to leaving this one. The WORST home owning/purchase of my life ... More

the floors of the interior of the house unevenly and noisy when walking like squealing wood, doors without finish, the handrails of the stairs without fine finish, rather scratchy and unpolished or varnished, sliding doors that get stuck because of the poorly installed, and worst of all is that to attend a claim, The owner has to accept the time and days so that they go do the work that should be done before selling the house, and even so they go and leave the work unfinished.

Many issues found after move in. Quality issues should be addressed quickly.

Over valued. Had a list of work that was intended to be completed before closing and was never finished. Poor joints in the trim. Home wasn’t clean when we moved in. Exterior and interior paint not finished. Leaking plumbing. Wiring issues with garage doors. HVAC issues. Doors not hung properly. Loose exterior stone.

Jen was great, but the people doing the punch lists are worthless!!! I will never repurchase another Lennar home, or will I ever recommend Lennar to anyone!!

Let's start with the workmanship and materials: zero stars. Lennar's work screams sloppy, rushed, and lacks attention to basic details. There were several parts of our home that were left half painted or unpainted. Places that we didn't notice during the final walk through because we had to hurry and get to the closing office. There were cracks around our door locks in which they tried to just paint over it instead of replacing the door. The electrical outlets and AC vents are all installed crooked. The AC in the upstairs rooms were not working. The caulking looked like a 2-year old did it. Just extremely sloppy and uneven in places that it should have been neat. Our ring doorbell camera was caulked and mounted to the door crooked. Within one month we had paint peeling from the back of the house, it literally looked like it was melting away. We have paint separating from the wall frames in the bathroom. All of this and we've only been here for one month. I'm so scared to think about what this house will look like in 5 years. They came to "fix" the paint that was coming off in the back of the house and all they did was paint over it. There's absolutely no primer anywhere, just paint on walls. Trustworthiness: zero stars. We trusted that we would be getting good quality work and we didn't. They simply just made it look presentable for closing day. Because here are three months later and we're constantly finding flaws that should have been acknowledged by the builders. Value for the price paid: zero stars. Responsiveness to issues: Allison would not let my realtor (who happens to be my sister in law) join in on the blue tape walk. That was the first red flag. Why wouldn't you let a first time homebuyer's advocated join in on the walk through? So my sister ended up coming in afterwards and making her own notes and checking for things that she knew Allison didn't check for, like toe kicks, messed up caulking, mismatched paint colors on the walls etc. When we gave the list to Allison and Matt, they pretty much disregarded it and only fixed what was on THEIR list of things to fix. The toe kicks were a mess by the way. Allison was working with us on our service requests, all I can say is I'm glad she isn't anymore. Thank God for Jose. Allison took forever to respond to emails and answer questions. Never answered the phone. She constantly asked for pictures of the problems as if we didn't already send them. I had a video call with one of the Lennar representatives to address some workmanship issues where he took pictures from his phone. A week later, Allison is asking us for the exact same pictures. Like, what were you all doing for an entire week besides not communicating with each other because you already have the pictures on file. For two weeks she was supposed to bring the paint coupon that they didn't give us when we got our keys, and she never brought it. Instead we got a message from Jose saying that he would be working with us going forward. I voiced my frustrations and concerns to him and he began working immediately. He brought the paint coupon which I had been begging for, and set up the painters, electrician, AC people, and FS Blinds to come to my house all within one week! He is simply amazing. Another person that left a bad taste in our mouths was Matt. Matt was the building manager or whatever he called himself. He spent too much time talking, and not enough time listening. There were multiple times we would be in the neighborhood checking on the progress of the house and he would just drive right by us as if he didn't see us. No slight wave, no "hey", or anything. It was clear that he didn't want to be bothered and that made us feel like we couldn't voice our concerns to him. He was super stand offish and not easy to talk to. We didn't even feel comfortable talking to him seeing the way he always avoided us. I'll never forget, two days before closing we went to look at the house. When we got there we saw Matt pulling off. Per usual, he didn't stop to speak, say hi, or see if we needed anything, just drove right off like we were invisible. We noticed that all of the doors to the house were locked. We called Matt to come open the door for us and he said that he was "too far" to turn around and come back. But we literally just saw him leave when we pulled up so we knew he was lying. At that moment, I knew I could never trust anything he said if he would lie about something like that. The only time Matt was nice to us was when we FIRST met him. Duh, because he didn't want to show his true colors right off the bat. We couldn't believe how he ignored us every time we saw him thereafter. But it is what it is. In conclusion, I wouldn't purchase another home from Lennar if they were selling it for $20. We were robbed of the excitement from our first home buying experience due to the rudeness and lack of knowledge from the Lennar representatives and for that, I am counting down the days until we can retry this whole process again with a more competent builder. ... Terrible workmanship materials are cheap no response on issues that need to be addressed

House was poorly built. Takes forever to get anything fixed or taken care of.

The entire experience has been poor. Issues do not get addressed and even when they are they are only half addressed. There are issues we have had since our one and only walk through before closing that still have not been addressed. We were also promised multiple walk throughs, throughout the process and did not receive them.

No help to resolve warranty issues. Contractors making appointments and not showing up to appointments. Unprofessional and inexperienced contractors showing up to make repairs. Will never recommend Lennar to anyone.
