Not a great experience for a 1st time home buyer. Bad communication, there was never an answer on time, still having issues and there not being addressed or taking care of, was not provided the important information.

Lennar Homes are not worth the money.

Lennar Homes are not worth the money. Poorly built, plumbing not up to code, electrical issues and appliances not installed correctly. Home didn't even come with a garage door opener. 3 service requests in regards to AC not cooling, dryer outlet not working (circuit in breaker had to be replaced), water leaking under front and back doors, installed appliances not working, and unable to transfer utility to own name due to water-test not yet performed by builder and water company; and it's only been 2 months since closing.

The after closing service has been appalling

We were very happy with Lennar when we bought the home and especially our sales agent , Hyatt, but post closing the customer service has been slow, unresponsive and low quality. A number of major issues were incomplete on close and to date have not been resolved. We are frustrated!

Not a Good Experience

To start I sat down and filled out the paperwork to start the process of getting my house built in October of 2021. I was in the process of selling my house so I was only able to put down a portion of the deposit required. After I sold my house in November I was able to pay the rest. From there things went south. I was originally told that we would be in the house in April/May of 2022. Lennar - Lennar has no control over Holiday Pool.

Lennar has no control over Holiday Pool. We closed on July 1st and our pool heater does not work and pool control panel is not hooked up inside our house. 3 Lennar construction managers, warranty service manager, and virtual service manager have not been able to get Holiday Pool out here to complete the job.

Disappointing experience

The home buying process with Lennar was highly disappointing. Our brand new home looked like it had already been lived in— dings in the walls, imperfections in the paint, torn up baseboards, paint splatters on our upgraded laminate flooring, and carpet, as well as a dirty home that was NOT cleaned after construction before move-in. Both the front and back doors are difficult to close and take a bit of force, while lifting up on the door to get them to close properly. Home buying and issues resolve

Home buying experience is below average compared to other builders. Issue resolving is worst possible. I have 2 lennar homes (one in Florida, and one in Jurupa Valley CA). Florida house is 2 year old and California house is 2 month old. Whenever I create a issue, computer system picks up my Florida home address and case automatically closes as it is out of warranty. Computer is not picking up new California address for issues, even if I enter it manually. So far I have very tough time in getting issues resolved and I do not know what to do. Hope someone picks up this issue and resolves it.

I would not prefer again

When I complained about HVAC - response was "It is not life threatening and it will take time to get it done. Now they have postponed one more week - after 10 days". You will hear gaps in the doors, on the VPC floor. None of your requests will be addressed at any stage of the process. Better to stay away from Lennar in future, if possible.

Truth be told I went with Lennar because of all of the in-home design options they offered. After touring the staged homes, it took 3 attempts at getting a home because Lennar's internet sales team and new home sales team were not in sync on new customer appointments, therefore they were selling homes to people who did not have an appointment, even though I scheduled an appointment twice with them . Frustrated Buyer

I have had nothing but usses, last straw was I signed all the paperwork and didn't get possession for 7 days. As I was paying for the place. Sent emails asking to be reimbursed, as of today Aug 16th ZERO ZERO ZERO response. My keys were not even presented to me, left on counter with construction workers. They got my money, and left me hanging.

I had bought several new homes from kbhome, century communities and Lennar. Lennar workmanship is the worst I have seen and to name a few, you can see the paint roller on the ceiling, nails sticking out of baseboard, cracks in the bath tubs, etc....My main complain is the interior and exterior paint quality and workmanship. It seems the painter didn't care and just paint one layer of paint instead of severals and be done with the job. I even can paint better than them. From two weeks after signing the purchase agreement, you can see the disorganization. The sales consultant was disorganized, inattentive, and unprofessional. Rushed to closing service is bad after.

We were rushed to close and they were not ready they could’ve taken another couple weeks and gotten things situated. After I came back from the settlement table I came back to a house that had no front door they still cannot fix a problem with with the door that they had so they took the entire front door off. What can I say….for it being my first time buying a house, this was the worse experience ever. If I buy another home, later on, I’ll make sure it isn’t with Lennar. Once the contract to purchase was signed it was all downhill from there. My contact onsite never kept the commitments he made to reach out. He and the loan rep at Lennar Mortgage didn't communicate with each other. The loan rep never reached out unless I pestered him. Ali, our sales consultant was very professional as were our mortgage and title representatives However, our pre close and post close walk throughs were apparently a waste of time. We closed over 6 weeks ago and still have simple paint and electrical issues that have not been addressed and our backyard is so poorly graded that we can’t use it because it is soggy and muddy.
